862  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS]Computer Hardware, Gaming Rig on: April 03, 2012, 05:25:31 PM
Updated my Gaming rig with my new hardware. Grin
2x GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 580 3072MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 2x DVI-I / mini-HDMI SLI Ready Graphics Card, GV-N580UD-3GI
And an Antec Lanboy Air Blue case

$2100 for that "gaming rig" ? what a joke I can build a system with SLI 680 and IVY bridge for $2100

Its just an asking price, sheesh. I'm not expecting to get that much for it. also, good luck with those 680's, with only 1.5gb of ram. lower max TDP, and small improvements elsewhere Roll Eyes Oh yeah, And reference coolers. And Hard to Find! And where will you get this unreleased(and unpriced) Ivy Bridge chipset mobo and CPU?

gtx 680s have 2GB VRAM

regardless of IVY bridge.

Can use 2600k + good mobo and still have cash left over

btw I'm just following the trend of traders on this forum. They all "criticize" other people's threads.

You do have negative ratings - not many - but there are negatives.  It is a fair point...

can't make everyone happy. Doesn't mean I have bad feedbacks. A few negative is fine. If you want someone with 100% feedback with only 14 of them that's fine by me Wink

874  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Got me a Kill-a-watt and some 7970's..... on: March 30, 2012, 08:56:15 AM

What... That would mean each 7970 would be getting 825mh... I think you meant 5...

Your absolutely correct...  ooopps  sorry bout that.

My thoughts started with the PSU.  I have a 1250 seasonic pushing 4 of the cards, and then I seen the Mh number and thought he didn't have the updated code.

You mean 5.

I also have mine undervolted to run much cooler.
875  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Got me a Kill-a-watt and some 7970's..... on: March 30, 2012, 02:13:08 AM
currently running 4x 7970s @ 925 / 150 @ 1.00v

850W at the wall. This system has the Big Bang Marshall and i7 2600k and 1300w CM Hybrid

I will OC them to 1125 and will let you guys know the power Cheesy

Let me guess, it will be 950W.

close.

1125 / 150 @ 1.05V

1050W with 2600k @ 5.0Ghz

2700mh/sec

9.6 Amps

Not bad! I can have 2 of these rigs running in my dorm room without tripping the wire!

878  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: CGMiner keeps on crashing? on: March 27, 2012, 04:02:07 PM
it's still happening... anyone know why?

same drivers / sdk
same windows as last install

same cgminer ;o

Are you running the same Windows SPs, updates?
Turn off unused Win services, updates, firewall, IIS etc.

From my limited experience, my 7970s do not like any memory clocks below 800, and core clocks above 1180.
1170/800 seems stable.

Voltage, well, it is kinda on its own.

I am running 3 5870s and 1 5970

yes all those are off as well
