Have you send BTC to escrow's address yet?

JohnK didn't mark that you sent...

We now have an opening for more BTC contribution to the pool. Someone bailed out. Please only contribute if you are fully committed so you don't waste anyone's time.
683  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Annoucement] Avalon ASIC chip distribution through www.asic-chips.com on: April 23, 2013, 02:12:22 PM
Just a heads up...

It's better to get in on a more secure group buy with escrow and cheaper fees.

10.92BTC / 100 chips = 0.1092BTC PER CHIP compared to .078BTC per chip.

30% increase compared to 2.5-5% from group buy.

You decide. Unknown website vs. trusted group buy.

I have sent out PM's to everyone on the spreadsheet. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE A PM!
687  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Pledge reached!! on: April 22, 2013, 04:26:22 PM
I made a mistake. The avalon shipping is divided by 60 people not 65. I looked at the row numbers but forgot we deleted some people.

The formula:

(# of BTC Pledged)*(JohnK's Fees)*(OP's Fees) + (2.1 |Avalon's Shipping| divided by 60 total people)
688  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! 700+ / 780 BTC pledged! on: April 22, 2013, 04:03:14 PM
We have reached the threshold! Please start sending to:

]

I also updated the column on how much you NEED to send to Escrow's Address.

The formula:

(# of BTC Pledged)*(JohnK's Fees)*(OP's Fees) + (2.1 |Avalon's Shipping| divided by 60 total people)

Group Buy#1 is now currently closed and will not be accepting any more pledges.

Please after you send POST YOUR CONFIRMATION LINK or what you have here!

Thanks! Let's get this thing ordered by tonight guys!

Escrow contract: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=Xtx4M6nN

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

The escrow address for ragingazn628's group buy transaction for Avalon ASICs chips would be:

Please state and agree to the conditions (if item is received damaged, item lost with tracking, customs fee etc) beforehand.

If possible, GPG sign your agreement to prevent any discrepancies later on and please ship with tracking to prevent problems during delivery. GPG signing is not a requirement, and any verbal exchange in the form of private messages or posts on bitcointalk.org, or email is effective as a ‘statement of condition’.

The fine print:
This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which refers to the pseudonyms used on bitcointalk.org.
The escrow holder, John, assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the deal to the fullest extent he is capable of.  On the event that any problems arises, he will release the escrow to whichever party that presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others or theymos.
The verbal acceptance by both parties (or the failure to reject) and the sending of Bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated, and the activation of this Contract.

Thank you.

John (the escrow holder)

How will this short delay getting BTC to the magic 780 affect our ordering at AVALON? Will a week or more be a huge issue in getting our 10K chips 1 or 2 months later or are we likely to get something in 10 to 12 weeks from now? Did I miss it in the thread if I did sorry for the worry? OP can you post that info as well in the OP so we can gauge the urgency we need on this?

Thanks again for everything ITCHY to pull the trigger on this!

nope we need ~100 more BTC!
690  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! 600+ / 780 BTC pledged! on: April 21, 2013, 11:07:20 PM
I had put in for BTC1 in  a post on Friday, but I'm still not seeing me on the list. Also, I'd like to bump the amount up to 13 chips' worth...based on what others have posted, that would be BTC1.014.

you're #48 Smiley

John can you update my order to match Enigma81, 3.12btc for 40 chips flat? I think that's what Qbits had intentioned also... Cheers~
done

don't worry about .999999999999999 guys it will be rounded up.

Please increase my stake from 5 to 10 BTC, thanks!

Updated. We're at the final stretch guys! Remember the faster from past Avalon Pre-orders! The faster you do it the faster you will get your product!
692  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! 600+ / 780 BTC pledged! on: April 21, 2013, 03:38:08 AM
Just saw the calculation; 1 btc = 12.8205128205128 chips.  Seems difficult to make .82 chips. 1.014 btc will = 13 chips.  I'd like to update mine to 1.014 btc.  Does this include escrow fees, etc?
done

I added Jah aswell please return his BTC for now. Thanks!
I'd hate to do so as the escrow address is a cold wallet addy which was never exposed to the web. If I spend funds from it (sending back to Jah), I would need to change a new address just for the sake of security. Is it possible to set a new column/spot to note people who have mistakenly paid for the time being?

Ok don't refund I will mark him yellow - he's sent BTC but did not send enough for shipping and fees Wink or we can subtract from that after as well it's ok don't worry about it!

Edit:

Who else sent? Just him?

Thank You!

Something is doinked up with the math in your spreadsheet though..  Shows my 3.12 BTC as being 39.999999999999 Chips..

780 / 10000 =  0.078 BTC/Chip
3.12BTC / 0.078 = 40 Chips

No imperfect calculations this way..

Enigma

I got 12.820512820512820512820512820513 from 10,000 divided by 780 BTC - for shipping and fees I will make it separate later once the 780 is reached.

Thanks!

Hey guys!

~~~Please DO NOT send any BTC to anyone yet!~~~
We will send to JohnK's escrow address and that address only!
this is because we are waiting until we reach 780 BTC so we can divide up the avalon shipping costs! If you already sent then you will have to send again once everything is calculated in!
Anyone who wants to up their stake can do so by posting and confirming here. OP will come along and update the list shortly when he comes online.
Heck, I can update the list if he wants...
@ JohnK I just gave you editing privileges on the google spreadsheet! Feel free to adjust any increment if anyone wishes to increase or decrease their BTC contributions. You can also add people etc. Just please confirm that you already did so I don't readd or change again Wink
I am interested in a small number of chips, like a dozen, has a price been settled upon?
1BTC = ~12 chips
Hey, I'm on the spread sheet for 5.125BTC, just want to know if i can add it to 5.277BTC just to include the shippment to Israel, and if I can do it should I transfer the extra ship payment to josh already ?
I changed to 5.277 - I won't know shipment to Israel until I get the chips. DO NOT SEND ANY UNTIL WE REACH 780!
added
I don't see myself on the list...
You're #54!
I'm in for 1btc if I can.  Are there any specs so far?
Added. SPecs? it's about 282mhs per chip.
Documentation is what I'm waiting for. I'm not going to invest in a set of chips that I may not have the hardware or steady hands to build. I always start with an initial design and a simple BOM before I even bother dropping the money.
I know the guys over at the DIY ASIC Build thread have come up with some concepts, but considering nobody really knows anything about these Avalon chips yet it is probably mostly educated guesses, which I'm fine with. I'll have to read more and see if any of them found anything.
But I will have to see if I can find a place to do batch jobs with a reflow oven. I just want my own, damnit.
JohnK confirmed me Smiley
@ JohnK and fpgaminer
I am willing to provide JohnK with my identity with the following proof:
1. A scan of my driver's license.
2. A picture of me holding and showing my driver's license.
3. And if needed I can record myself with my driver's license so no suspicion of photoshop etc.
When I started this group buy I did not expect any drama at all. My #1 goal for this group buy right now is to redeem myself from the past. Again I did not scam anyone it was a misunderstanding but looking back at what has happened I do realized that I did make a mistake. So I would like to follow through with this group buy towards a path of redemption. When you are on the internet, apparently nothing you cannot hide anything Smiley
Without further a due we will start sending BTC to the escrow's address when we hit ~600 BTC.
JohnK let me know what and how I need to sign to get rid of any possible discrepancy. Thanks.
Put me down for 5 BTC. I may increase that stake later.
added
I'm in for 2.028 BTC. (26 chips) Please add me to the list.
added
Confirmed. The ID and verification information can be sent to my personal email listed with my GPG key above (the.john.is.here -at- gmail)
As for signing, I am not sure what you can sign here - if you have an OTC account with GPG, you can use that to sign your message here. I am signing to prove that I control this account currently.
Before I send please confirm that you will NOT release my information unless there is any discrepancy from me. It will be fore YOUR eyes only.
Confirmed. The information will be made public if problems arise from your end of the deal, included but not limited to the failure of sending chips, extended hiatus after the chips have been sent to you, and the general failure to withhold your part of obligations. Of course, I will delay the publicity of such documents unless there is absolute reason to do so as the release of such documents is irreversible.
Email sent please confirm.
We will send BTC when 780 BTC is reached. This first pre-order batch will close at 780 so I can divide and add up the 2.1BTC avalon shipping costs for everyone! Got about ~190 more BTC to go guys!
