Really excited to see what Nick has to say about the platform and incoming projects.
We are in for a ride Tongue
I thought his speech was incredibly dull and uninteresting. Does a better job at being an anonymous creator, IMO  Wink

HEH. Blazed is playing the long game.

Will a 25 be worth $27,000 when BTC hits $1k? Do any of us even care?

Nah, i dont think we care. I think we have all tried to consider and understand what happens to the high value coins when $ price of BTC hits a magnitude or two above current price.....and we just dont know. I mean, i dont think i will be protesting so much about the low trade price of this 25BTC coin, when the premium is 'only' $10,000 or $20,000 above redemption. I'll take that, happily. But thats not where we are currently.

On the other hand, i know of a lawyer in London who paid £15,000 cash for one of these 2 years ago. So everyone has their own reasons/drivers, and price, for these kind of purchases.

Looks like i need to sell this away from here, maybe.

Sale 1 - 2weix: could not find a buyer even at 26 so he peeled it

That would be my preferred option, if i couldnt find the right collector.

If you value peeling a holo over 2BTC then sure  Cool
I can justify that, by being left with the redeemed coin, which ive seen go for ~1BTC, minus the delivery cost and stress.

How much you selling yours for?

Not interested in the 25btc but is that 10BTC up for sale?
The 10BTC sold for 19BTC. So each coin mysteriously acquires its own premium value. Thats the magic of Casascius, i guess.  Cheesy

The fact is, the 25BTC's dont publicly change hands often enough to really know what the premium is for it. It certainly aint a measly +2BTC/less than 10%. Blazed found 2 desperate, and lost souls there.
867  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Selling quality collectable Casascius coins........ on: November 09, 2015, 12:09:57 AM

I will offer you 27BTC for it. I have purchased 2 of these in the last few months at or below 27BTC.

Why anyone would sell @27BTC or below, is utterly baffling to me.

UNITY!

We certainly hope so, right now!  Undecided

Well, if someone does come to Amsterdam, hit me up as well and we shall have a small Bitcoin meetup. Wink

You would never get home alive - Pants torn, head shaved, hardware wallet compromised. I am fully qualified in debauchery - It would end in tears

 Grin

Yeah, but this is Amsterdam we are talking about. What happens in Amsterdam, stays in...........  Grin

Your 25BTC is amazing, but I don't think it's the last one that's active Wink

If I rack up enough BTC in the next few years, I'll buy it off your hands  Grin
Active or Funded?

Going by......  http://www.spotcoins.com/bitcoin/casascius/variety/25-btc-series-2

Theres 355 S2's still active. The last ever funded 25BTC to date, was this actual coin.

872  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Selling quality collectable Casascius coins........ on: November 08, 2015, 08:52:32 PM
Well, I won't be transporting coins so them hitting each other isn't a real problem (plus all my coins are in airtight cases). I currently have the following box (picture) for my coins but I want to switch to a glass case with a few display boxes, like you have right now.
That box is perfect. Contents are nice, also.  Smiley
I see you got a few New Liberty's specie coin. Ive carried one of those in my pocket for 2 years. Great for starting conversations.
873  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Selling quality collectable Casascius coins........ on: November 08, 2015, 08:24:50 PM
A tiny bit off-topic, but where did you get the case that you are using for those Antana coins? It looks awesome.
No problem.

I bought them from a jewellery supplier on Ebay, for a Bitcoin trade show in London two years ago. Think i paid about £2.50 each for them.

EDIT: Or did you mean the glass case? Again, these can easily be found on Ebay for around £65 new.
I was talking about the ones that you bought from the jewellery supplier. Do you, by any chance, still have the link? Or a better picture of them? It will be hard to display 105 items in a proper manner, hahaha. Anyway, thanks for answering my question!

I just checked his 'items for sale', and he hasnt traded for nearly a year.

With that many to store/display, dont you need something like this?......   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3tier-Lighthouse-delux-mahogany-colour-wood-coin-display-box-/111815928566?hash=item1a08bfaaf6:g:~UQAAOSwo0JWOke5

Actually those cases werent good to transport the Antana's, as the coins chinked together inside. Really need inserts with multiple coins, something like.....    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Coin-Medal-Presentation-Box-Display-Case-Six-Coin-44mm-Navy-Blue-/400691642262?hash=item5d4b153f96:g:ZJYAAOxyaTxTRTG0

Although, thats gonna be expensive with 105 to display!

Ok. Ive been reunited with my treasured 25BTC Gold Casascius again, while i went gallivanting around Europe. Now i have it in my hands again, its again time to try and see what its worth to someone.

Just to piss on my own sale right from the start......i cant bring myself to post this coin. Undecided I want a face-to-face sale, somewhere in UK/Europe (currently in France, but will travel).
If someone wants this posted, thats doable, but you are trusting me to post it, and the postal service to safely deliver it, as full payment is needed beforehand.
Maybe an international buyer knows and trusts someone in UK/Europe that i could hand this over to. Whatever, i wont be posting it unless the buyer assumes all risk. Sorry.

I want 32BTC 30BTC for this coin.

          http://www.spotcoins.com/bitcoin/casascius/variety/25-btc-series-2

This could possibly be the last 25BTC Casascius to be funded.

Cheers

^^That's a flash aberration on the holo. The coin is spotless, as its been in its original plastic pouch^^

here u go

Ive already read that. Its just words. Nothing else.

Stay away from these 'schemes', unless ability and competency can be demonstrated. Posting words doesn't count any more.

BTW, who is "we"?
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qusocia - Social Cryptocurrency Platform [BTC 2.5] [IoT] [SSC/ETP] on: November 06, 2015, 08:49:43 AM
Nope.  I'm done.

Qusocia has been in the underground scene of Cryptocurrency for nearly 3 years.

Yep. I was about to highlight this quote, as a huge red flag, also.
It should be easy to point to links/references/posts/discussions etc if this is the case. It would also follow, that the OP would show the work done so far during that time.

The era of giving funds to projects that only have ideas, is finished. Show what you can achieve with WORKING systems first, and use IPO/ICO's to build on whats already been created.

I simply dont see any consistency, ability, or competency.

Drak rekt?
That would be a rekt spectacular, if true! Does he still make an appearance on Teamspeak Whaleclub?
880  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 05, 2015, 05:13:24 PM
There were ideas for locations, but no final decision. It was impossible to reserve a location with the conditions this party had.
The party was planned to be in Frankfurt, Germany.
As for interest, it was pretty high. There's another thread about that, I think linked in the OP.

Ente
Ah yes. Cheers.
Germany it was, and 220 reservations were made. A theoretical ~$220,000 buys a bloody big party!
Noticed the original plan was to refund everyone if no more than 100 tickets/reservations were obtained, so the interest was definitely there. I wonder if logic says that more interest will exist now??
