its great to see that devs still develop this coin although the price is so low. i still see a big potential in this coin.....
+1 Qora is unique in cyptoland, and I still believe the future is bright. Most alts are struggling, so Qora is in good company! Thanks to the dev team for all they do

Guys, I suggest moving the discussion over to the main Qora thread. Keep everything in one place, make it easier to keep the community together during this quiet period https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1015379.0 Qora is seriously undervalued, it's still one of the best coins around!!

Hi, I'm new and excited about Qora. I can't seem to access http://qora.co.in:9090/ -- it won't respond on the port. Is this working for anybody else? Explorer at http://qora.co.in/? is down for 3 days but no one seems to care. agran already knows about this but he is currently on vacation. He will fix it as soon as he has some time. In the meantime you can use the local blockexplorer of your wallet (which has exactly the same functions). is there only one developer working on this project? qora.co.in is owned and run by one of the developer (agran). Vrontis, vbcs, agran and me are the developer working on qora in general. This is no fix group, if you or anyone else know something about java you are welcome to join...this project needs any help it can get. Thank you to the Qora dev team It would be great if the community could fund a 'project manager' to help the dev team with things like marketing and infrastructure.

nice to see the BTCD community ripping iCEBREAKER a new one ... keep up the good work

What we need now is a use case for crypto fans to keep these quality alts alive long enough to reap the reward, and that's probably gambling.
+1 crypto types love gambling

Keep the PMP chain alive guys!
PreminePlus has something unique:
- NOT PoW - NOT PoS
eventually people will consider the third way - 100% premine and distribution but without inflation from staking - this is unique in alt coins afaik
PMP is worth saving, and when the alt coin market turns (which it will eventually) I see potential for a zero inflation non-mined coin.
KEEP THE CHAIN ALIVE!
sorry, what do you mean by the sentence 'without inflation from staking'? As far as I see it, we still have inflation introduced by the PoS phase exactly. So we do have inflation. And unfortunately Nullu holds all the keys to PMP fate: he has the exclusive access to the main wallet with the remaining funds that were supposed to be distributed in the future and in form of bounties (600k coins). He was also our main dev, after the previous one gave up. And he was running the nodes that were supporting the network that so far (until 2 days ago) were working. Unfortunately he was not responding to pms/mails in the last 3 months or so. sorry, my bad! I was confusing the original Premine from 2013 (that wasn't PoS) with the later PreminePlus that is! The original PMP DID have something unique being fully distributed without staking. PMP+ has a lot of competition (but i still like it, so sad to see it abandoned by the dev)

If Qora gets down to a market cap of 100 or 200 BTC consistently, I don't see how it can gain any traction. People don't buy into "dead" coins no matter how cool they are. I'm not trying to be cynical and I do still own a LOT of qora. But this has gotten sad. A lot of work has been done around here and, honestly, I don't know what to do to turn this ship around. Things look bad if you focus exclusively on price (which we all do, we're only human) but the price drop is across all alts, and in many ways the alt coin wipe-out will serve Qora if it kills off all the shit coins. I see this long bear market as a cleansing - bad coins gone, bad actors gone too. Anybody following Qora today knows it is different to every other alt coin, and unique. Thought experiment - imagine Qora price drops to zero, what would happen then? Would the community still run enough nodes to keep Qora alive? Would the developers keep working on the code? Would Qora still have any potential? I think the answer might be YES to all the above! Maybe the devs work less, but why would they leave when the potential of Qora is still huge? The community would be small, but why would everyone leave? All alts are being hammered, so the choice would be to leave crypto all together, and I don't see everyone doing that. I know my enthusiasm for crypto hasn't been diminished due to the recent alt market crash, but my time expectations for greater adoption have lengthened. Early bitcoiners got involved when BTC was literally worth zero, why? Coz bitcoin and crypto are really interesting, and will change the world eventually. I don't want to see Qora go to zero either, but I don't know if it would definitely kill if off completely, and I think if it survived long enough it would come back.

There is less than 15 million HZ to be distributed at this time.
any estimates on the last date for the distribution? would be so cool if it was new years day 2016, or something iconic - maybe new years eve seems like a 'once in a blockchain' chance to promote the outstanding effort in executing a fair & reasonable 100% PoS distribution. Are there any celebrations planned for the BIG day?

How is the tough time for crypto related anyhow to zero deliveries in 1 year?
with respect, your comment above shows a fundamental lack of insight of how business works. if you can't see an obvious connection between the crypto 'depression' we've been in since mid 2014 and rofo's difficulties in launching NOXT I don't think I can explain it to you here easily. looks like you've chosen to respond to the situation by getting pissed-off i'm choosing another path question: what makes people perform better, abuse and criticism, or understanding and encouragement? if rofo gives up NOXT is dead, if he doesn't ...

rofo still has my support
who here doesn't realise how desperate things are for the whole (original) non-corporate crypto and blockchain ecosystem? Things are about as tough as they could possibly be. Banks & Wall St are having a love affair with 'blockchain' but the original crypto scene (including bitcoin) is still out in the cold.
I'm certain of two things right now: 1- if the project is dead we lost our investment 2- if the project is in a coma and on life-support, our investment *might* be lost, but it *might* still do well when/if things pick up
rofo & NOXT can't defy gravity here, nobody in crypto can, so we have to wait and hope the original model for P2P decentralised finance wins the day, but that doesn't look like happening anytime soon IMO.
so, is rofo to blame here? of course not!!
could he communicate better? maybe, but I'm a regular user of this forum, and I think like most here I don't need rofo to tell me times are tough, so further communication from him saying "times are tough, project is stalled, but I'm doing my best and haven't thrown in the towel" is sort of pointless, and I think it's OBVIOUS.
Why bust rofo's balls over the state of P2P crypto? We're in a depression almost until Joe Six-Pack discovers crypto, or the corporate boys decide to take an interest in what currently exists rather than copy/paste there own blockchains (which doesn't seem very likely IMO).
we're in the car on a journey, it's a long drive and everyone's pissed off - how many times do you respond to "are we there yet?', and "this drive sucks!" before you, the driver, ignores it and does your best to concentrate on completing the journey as best you can?
@rofo, don't give up, many here can still see the bigger picture - times are fucking tough, and you're still here ... THANKS!!

release soon??
I'll post some more screenshots of the payment processing, but yes. More importantly, it's crucial people are aware of this ruling related to longer-term plans with gold. It does not affect the currency or payment aspect that the app focuses on right now. This may include very public current coins/tokens planning/claiming similar directions. This is very important for anything US-customer-based. http://www.coindesk.com/fincen-rules-commodity-backed-token-services-are-money-transmitters/For Australia/non-US, it is my current understanding I will all but guaranteed exemption from a financial services license for at least a couple years (I hope not less) due to being a low-vol/value start-up, the Aus-based regulatory hearings being exploratory in nature, and BTC still not officially being recognised. What I will be providing is payment processing for multiple digital currencies (at NOXT listing fee as outlined). When and if an exemption ends I should be in the right position to receive licensing at that point. Recent reports also suggest bitcoin & crypto currencies generally will be treated as 'digital currencies' rather than 'digital commodities' in Australia soon, and thus no GST (i.e. no tax). This is great news for rofo & NOBL/NOXT!! This should put Australian regulations on par with the UK. http://www.smh.com.au/business/banking-and-finance/senate-committee-says-bitcoin-should-be-treated-as-a-regular-currency-20150731-gior3u.htmlAs another aussie myself, this makes Australia a great place to setup crypto businesses, so I'm pretty pumped for the future now!

*unless you have access to all available data which nobody in this instance does since the origins of BCN do not reside on the Internet but rather the Darknet.
Exactly. You don't have access to all available data, so you can't correctly say that it isn't a scam. The farthest you could go is that it might not be a scam (and that's a long shot). Ahhh quite so… and you cannot correctly say that it is a scam, but you always bloody well do. In this situation the absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence (black swan). preachy stuff putting me to sleep
any comments on 1.0.6? And? scam or not the 82% mined before anyone heard of bytecoin or cryptonote makes it worthless compared to monero which was launched in full view of everyone using this forum (i.e. the whole crypto community)

blocks are staking, but slowly (see the blokechain) it was stuck a couple days before but now looks like at least 1 BLOCK per hour. That makes TALK like unbreakable ... You little beauty, I finally got TALK sync'd up today and the stakes started flowing!!! Great job BitcoinNational, I got a strong feeling that your persistence will be rewarded soonish. The cream always floats to the top eventually

+1 TALK is a hidden gem, good distro story without any BS. Much better to support a coin like TALK than boot up another worthless alt
