it was not a major concern back then but now it is a ticking time bomb and major anxiety
all it will take is to cross the wrong person enough for them to put in the time to search it all - they will probably find something - and all of years of effort i put into this forum will be gone and i would not even be able to start again with a new account because it would be ban evasion
this is true for many good users old accounts full of years of banter
a permanent account ban is harsh enough but a complete ban from even being able to start over is ludicrous
what should i do ? spend weeks searching all my old posts in google and delete anything that matches ? what if the post has been quoted ? what about archives or waybacks ?

Но последнее слово за администрацией форума. Бан за плагиат может быть и временным:  Никакого изменения в политике отношения к плагиату не было. Пользователь redsn0w не был забанен навсегда из-за нескольких факторов, которые привели меня к мысли, что перманентный бан этого пользователя негативно скажется на форуме. Никто не банится, основываясь строго на правилах форума. Каждый случай рассматривается индивидуально, но плагиат практически всегда заслуживает перманентного бана.
Если вы считаете, что вы не заслуживаете пермабана, изложите своё мнение в новой теме с точки зрения «пользы для форума в целом».
There's been no policy change. redsn0w wasn't permanently banned due to several factors which made me think that permabanning him would be a net negative for the forum. Nobody is banned strictly because of "the rules"; it's always handled case-by-case, but almost always, plagiarists deserve to be permabanned.
If you think that a ban should be ended, make your case in a new topic from a "good for the forum as a whole" perspective.

Beggars, generally, are receiving the red trust. Therefore I see no problem in publishing information about merit sources. In my opinion, such statistics should display directly on the forum, because it's more convenient than searching for it on another site.

Unfortunately, there is no way to prove to us it wasn't you that did that.  Maybe someone offered you coin to leave those merit? (Not accusing, just giving an example) Like Vod said there's no way of proving that this is the case, and without accusing you are anything I find it very odd than someone would get access to a hero member account, use it's merit to rank up it's alt accounts using it's merit. Did they even attempt to get into your email? I'm assuming your password is different on here to what it is on your email and therefore they didn't take over the account completely.

Значит где-то Veleor нашел и покрасил целую ферму того, кто его сам сейчас обвиняет.
Это были боты биржи WEX с десятками учёток. Они все свои посты и темы уже стёрли, не учитывая те профили, которые были забанены. Похоже некоторых форумчан одолевает паранойя. И самое главное аргументы для обвинения в алтьтах,перелив меритов.
Видимо, логика аккаунт-фермеров строится на том, что, так как они отправляют мериты между своими альтами, то и другие пользователи занимаются тем же. |

Предположим, Вы узнали, что в Вашем баунти зарегистрировалось несколько мультиаккаунтов. Вы не стали "бежать и жаловаться" к менеджеру, а обратились к обманщику в личном сообщении, "чтобы услышать его аргументацию". Он прикинулся, что не понимает о чём идёт речь, Вы сделали "Ok face", так как Вас "воспитывали по-другому", и пустили всё на самотёк. В итоге ботовод, за счёт Вашей инертности, присвоил деньги у Вас и других людей, потому что "и так хватает". |

Ещё был alex_kir. До начала 2018 года он комментировал в русскоязычном разделе. I unbanned the account. It does look like it could be a mistake and since no others can be found I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Но через месяц после успешной апелляции alex_kir нарушил правило о плагиате и его перманентно забанили. |

Это обычная социальная практика, ограниченная желанием человека и его готовностью отстаивать свою позицию. На форуме есть раздел Reputation, где Вы, будучи уверенным в своём мнении и располагая условной фактологической базой, способны публично обсудить действия другого пользователя, призвав в качестве независимых арбитров членов Default Trust из англоязычной ветки. Таким образом, Вы сможете отстоять свою правоту и внести лепту в развитие сообщества. Но, избрав пассивную линию, все слова, даже которые Вы считаете верными, в конечном счёте канут в цифровое небытие, не оказав влияния на форум. |
