I had a similar initial thought at first, but then I've started to think that the usefulness of this topic is to draw more community’s attention (members & mods) to the violators, which are creating threads about ban appeal and then quietly continuing their activity on the forum. |

Moderator of the Russian section Xal0lex uses another profile to insult forum members, because he doesn't have the spirit to do this from his base account. How it all began. ___ Recently in the Russian section I created a topic where I asked moderator Xal0lex to open a subsection about scam projects. Right after that Newbie Phetis has appeared and used a rubbish language against me. And at the same time he demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the local rules of the Russian section which know a few people at most. It seemed very strange to me. I have checked Phetis data profile and his post history and I have found that Xal0lex and Phetis have the same dates of last activity (see the archive links: #1 http://archive.li/baIxZ #2 http://archive.li/Mz29k).  Also Newbie Phetis is interceded for moderator Xal0lex in another thread ( archive).  I wrote about my suspicion that Xal0lex and Phetis is the same person. But Xal0lex just put on a smiley face and said I was wrong ( archive). ___ My suspicions were confirmed. On December 10, 2018 in the topic “Stake your Bitcoin address here” I have noticed that Xal0lex quoted the post by Phetis with Bitcoin address, and then Xal0lex has deleted his message because obviously he didn't want that someone reveal his alt. I asked LoyceV to check this information. I asked moderator Xal0lex to restore the thread about Worldcore (which most likely a scam) on the 30th of December 2018 and he agreed with condition that this topic would be closed and I will not create other topics about Worldcore. But yesterday Russian moderators deleted this topic again. And now I'm not even allowed to start a new topic. |

Yes, this one. As far as I know moderator can remove threads on request but I don't think this works with scam accusations, or at least this is last info I got from someone.
Are local moderators allowed to delete threads about scam projects (or possible scams) with more than thousands of posts by the OP's request? |

The topic about company "Worldcore" in the Russian section was renamed by OP and then it was deleted by Russian moderator with all evidence that were there. In my mind, moderators have no right to remove topics about scam projects even with the reason "Deleted at the author's request", since OP is not an owner of the comments which were posted in the topic and they shouldn't be deleted at his will. However, after that I have started a new topic about "Worldcore" in the Russian locale that was closed by the moderator Xal0lex. Xal0lex said that there is no subsection for scams in the Russian locale and all suspicious projects should be discussed only in the thread "SCAMS of our bitcointalk". Personally, I disagree to follow this guidance because I think when all scams are discussing in the one place then it would be extremly inconvenient for users and forum guests to find the information about certain projects and this will prevent a complete discussion. Also, I consider is unacceptable for moderators deleting or closing topics about scam projects whenever they want. Isn't it a violation of the forum rules? 19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).
I ask Forum Administration to restore the Russian topic about Worldcore and create a subsection about scams in the Russian locale. |
