882  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: May 14, 2017, 10:48:21 AM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.
I would choose bitcoin since its price is steadily increasing.Bitcoin is slowly getting attention of gold investors and many have started investing in bitcoin, the digital gold.Bitcoin is predicted to move in bullish trend through out this year and i hope it would continue in the following years also.

886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Japan make a move after lost trust 3 years ago on: March 16, 2017, 08:52:28 AM
this is a bit of a strange news to me!
i have been hearing many good news coming from Japan and the biggest one was Japanese government announcing bitcoin as a real legit currency. and i doubt that a country would do that if "they lost trust on bitcoin"!
maybe someone from Japan can tell us more because i do not trust what i read on shitty news sites any more.
Bitcoin, one of the world's largest economy has started once again showing importance to bitcoins.Due to Mt gox bankruptcy, once they lost their trust in bitcoin. But now, situations have changed and once again people are interested to invest in bitcoin.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin vulnerable? on: March 16, 2017, 08:36:00 AM
Is Bitcoin vulnerable to quantum computing?
That we have to wait and see.We may have to wait for twenty to thirty more years to see what happens. It is said some safety measures would be taken to prevent bitcoin being damaged by quantum computing.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: March 16, 2017, 08:31:24 AM
As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.

Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017?

If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think?  Smiley
I hope bitcoin price would reach $3000 by the end of 2017.Despite ETF disapproval,Bitcoin recovered from its downfall within hours and it started to raise. It shows that lots of people have understood the real potential of bitcoin and have started saving it irrespective of any factors.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one will you used? on: March 16, 2017, 08:26:32 AM
there are a lot of us demand shop that accepting bitcoin as payment, but from this forum i found out that there are some people unwilling to spend their bitcoin, so I want to asked If you found a shop that accepted bitcoin and fiat as payment, which one will you used?

if you are using bitcoin then maybe today 1 apple is 0.0008 btc , but tomorrow with 0.0008 btc you can buy 2 apples, but if no one used bitcoin for shopping then there won't be any shop that will adopting bitcoin anymore

so what will be you choice?
I would definitely use fiat in shops.Bitcoin has proved to be an ever growing currency. It has doubled in the last six months from $650 to $1250.I used to save my bitcoins for future of my family.May be bitcoin price may double in the next six months and it may reach $2500.
890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I educate myself on bitcoin for investing? on: March 15, 2017, 03:57:36 PM
The subject says it all, what books, resources and other things can I study so that I can make an educated decision.

I want to invest, but have no idea where to start and need to learn more about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general before taking the plunge.
You could read articles about bitcoin and altcoin investments in the net.You could invest in a good altcoin or just invest in bitcoin as its price is steadily increasing. For altcoin investment, you have to find the most under valued coin and for that you have to read the ANN thread of that coin, its marketcap and who all are its investors.Trading comes by experience.Remember, invest only a small amount in the begining which you can afford to loose.
891  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: March 15, 2017, 03:42:56 PM
How different is trading from just gambling? I know there seems to be a  big difference with technical analysis and whatnot, but in the end aren't you just betting on something completely random?
Gambling is betting. Its depends 100% on the luck and there is no space for talent. Its not encouragable as most of those who gamble end in a loss.
Trading is that you invest in a share or a coin and start trading. Here, success depends on the decision you take based on various analysis. When you see your share or coin is going towards a loss, immediately you could take decision to sell it and reinvest in any other asset. Its also a little bit risky, but not like gambling.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: March 15, 2017, 03:22:40 PM
To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

In my country too, no such option of paying in bitcoin is available.I heard that xapo provides a bitcoin debit card.I dont know about the fees they charge.I just want to try it.

In our country too, i dont find any shops accepting bitcoins.Every time, i had to convert my bitcoins into fiat in localbitcoins and then buy.It would take a long time for getting such benefits in our country. So, i have decided to buy a bitcoin debit card from providers like zapo rather waiting for bitcoin payments.
894  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: March 13, 2017, 12:32:56 PM
I would like to know if anyone of you earns 0.1 BTC per week or even more? Is this possible and what is best way to earn it? Your experiences, suggestions and advices are very welcomed.
Actually, i dont know the way to earn 0.1 btc  per week, but you could earn around 0.06btc with highest paying signature campaign, but now its not active. You could solve mrai captchas and earn around 0.04 btc per week.
895  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining fees will eventually kill bitcoin on: March 13, 2017, 12:27:09 PM
The fees are getting more and more expensive everyday!

Just today, i sent 3.77 usd and the bitcoin core client wanted 0.50 cents, that's ridiculous for 3.77

i created my own fee and the fee turned out to be 0.07, it's been 7 hours and no confirmations yet,

im not worried, i think eventually it will go through, and i wanted to test it to see how long it would take,

but yes, bitcoin would not work for small transactions for stores and between strangers, its too slow

i know the 0.50 cent fee would of been super fast, but it's way to expensive,

i remember when there was free fees and it was fast,

i have no problem if there is no free fees, i don't mind paying fees, to support the bitcoin technology because the transactions fees help the miners, but it is getting way out of control

i don't think bitcoin will go down that easy, it's still very convenient to transfer lots of money, millions,

i'm not ready to give up on bitcoin yet, but i hope they fix things, or yes it could kill bitcoin

Yes,its a matter of serious concern. With your fees as 0.07 cents, in my experience,i think it will take 6 days for your transaction to be processed.Thats ridiculous. The main feature of bitcoin,i.e., the low transaction fees has been compromised.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: March 13, 2017, 10:56:28 AM
There is a thread about recomendations for the best wallet to use, but not all practice what they preach, so this poll is to see what people are actually using.
I understand that some people use multiple wallets of different kinds, so this poll asks which wallet is most used, this can be measured either by quantity of bitcoin or ammount of transactions.

I use Electrum wallet. It generates a seed when registered. The seed is useful to recover the wallet when we forget the password or when our laptop gets damaged.I also have a copy of it as backup in my pendrive.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: March 13, 2017, 10:51:40 AM
So where should we invest bitcoin to actually earn some profit and increase the amount of bitcoin we own, is there any legit place?
I mean cloud mining is a scam but there must be something else we can actually do right?
The only legit option to earn bitcoins is by investing in altcoins and trading. But trading is highly volatile in altcoin market.Genesis mining is said to be legit.Avoid gambling and investing in ponzi sites. In altcoins, try to find the most under valued coin and invest in it.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin prevent crime? on: March 13, 2017, 10:46:32 AM
Bitcoin willnot prevent crime. It has nothing to do with it.If you say about the money sent from one person to other via blockchain transaction and hence it cannot be stolen. Then, what would you say if the bitcoin account was hacked with stolen password and all the savings in the wallet gone?
