Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017?

If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think?

Yes it already secured it's position in the year 2017, many people are now days looking some thing new in their daily life so my though is government should elaborate bitcoin technology through out the world wide and make announcement that bitcoin can use able like gold. Bitcoin is completely digital currency and is limited we cannot able to mine more than that like gold.

well, new year and fresh starts are only a mentality thing and not what happens. we are on the same path as we were before (it is a good path) and besides in many countries it is still the same year since many celebrate different days for new year.

I believe like last years, this year we will see more price rise after this volatile period which is also full of panic sellers ended. and we will also see los more mainstream attention and hopefully some real adoption this year.

I don't know what to say about it... For the Bitcoin to rise means the Chinese Yen should fall a lot, or bad things like terror attacks, a big crisis or a war should take place.. and I don't want that to happen. I'd like Bitcoin to rise just because of its demand and newcomers, in a peaceful way. Im also hoping for a segwit activation... without segwit we are really getting nowhere. If it doesn't get activated, we will never get a blocksize increase to begin with, not ot mention all the amazing features that will come after it gets ativated. the year started up great for everyone holding bitcoin and trading it when it went up to $1100++ but these days people are sad seeing the price go down. but i say it is temporary and when the dust settles we can start seeing things pick up again and bitcoin becomes great a gain.

another thing that i am looking forward to is a solution for the block size increase which i hope something happens this year finally.

I don't know if this would be the year that bitcoin would make a big impact, just like last year bitcoin value is still movable and I think that is not very usual cause it is always happening even in the past and the value just turn to $1K but right now it fell to $904.39 value and I think it is still early to say such things but that is just my speculation and we could really never know what would happen in the future!

I think it will be a great year for the bitcoin, I predict the number of wallets increase and an increase of users will start to adopt it. The price will continue to claim slowly with some up and down on the way. As we have experienced this week from 1100USD to 900USD back.

In 2017, Bitcoin will become more popular in small and developing countries. Several African and Asian countries will start looking for it.

We have got really great starting price of $1000 however within first week of this year we have seen huge volatility in price which can be panic for newbie traders. However big investors always like to hold for long term as they look at monthly or yearly chart only, so we may see continuous uptrend with new money going into marketcap from millionaires pocket this year.

I don't have doubt that price will be well above $1000 by end of this year however it may take much longer time to be used as mainstream currency.

I'm confident a $1000 btc is something we will look back as incredibly cheap. Bitcoin is the currency of the future and no government or central bank will stop it. Using bitcoin now feels like those first few days downloading mp3 with napster. I know it was the future right there, the same thing will eventually happen with BTC. maybe a year, maybe five. which is why I'm trying to hoard as much as possible in btc

bitcoin almost reach $1200 but unfortunately the price was suddenly dropped with very fast and back to $1000 below but my thought in 2017 from the price side still have potential to reach above to $1200 again but i don't know the exact time it will happening and from mass adoption side i think the situations will not so different such as the previous year

Well it was the best performing currency of 2016. I think it might go sideways in 2017, but that is no bad thing, a bit of steadiness is needed if people are to actually use it.

Bitcoin will continue go up in a roller-coaster way and will hit all time high in 2017. Bitcoin is in a long term upward phase and with more people using bitcoins and more services provided, it will have more demand.

I think this mini dump will be over as soon as people realize that the rumors from China was false. We will then see a explosion in the price,

like we have never experienced before. I have my doubts about the acceptance of SegWit as we have seen little progress in that regard.

The scaling solution will become a force decision soon, and we would have no other option, other than to scale. I think 2017 will be one of our
