881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a good way to store money? on: September 01, 2016, 09:00:08 PM
Check the comparison of bitcoin with fiat and other currencies http://money.visualcapitalist.com/all-of-the-worlds-money-and-markets-in-one-visualization/
I think bitcoin is a good way to store our money but not all of them, I don't prefer to store 100% of my money in bitcoin because bitcoin is not stable.
Fiat most of the time is more stable than bitcoin but if we like to invest then bitcoin is a good way too to make a profit or loss.
882  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: September 01, 2016, 08:48:16 PM
Just recently got into BTC; I have 2.5 saved up.
Plan on taking 25% of each of my paychecks and accumulating and seeing what will happen in 2017 or later in the year.

Thoughts? Ideas? Speculation? Advice? Tips?

 Huh

I think I have saved some bitcoins by earning online and by investing from my cash.
Your plan to save 1/4 of your paycheck is a good idea if it does not limit you to spend your other parts of you salary.
I liked to trade bitcoin for altcoins and vise versa but because of lots of dumps I have paused and I'm stucked with that amount for the moment.
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: September 01, 2016, 08:41:18 PM
given the cayos happening in the world i wouldn't be surprised of nuclear war and in this case i would expect internet disruption question is what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down?

home internet and mobile internet goes down

do not mean trade bitcoin to buy/sell i mean using it as a way of payment say you wanted to send money to someone abroad for family far away

If the internet goes down then the 'internet' will be transformed to LAN or/and to MAN(metropolitan area network, smaller than WAN).
And bitcoin would be hard to be operate because there are required the nodes, miners to confirm that transaction so I think bitcoin popularity will decrease too low.
884  Other / Meta / Re: Who actually runs and owns the bitcointalk forum? on: September 01, 2016, 08:25:36 PM
Is it the bitcoin foundation?

No. The Bitcoin Foundation has nothing to do with the forum.

Both bitcoin.org and bitcointalk.org are owned by me and theymos, though I'm more active on the bitcoin.org project, and theymos is more active here.

Satoshi and Sirius used to be involved, but they're not active anymore.
Since you and theymos own bitcointalk.org, why is it that your account only ranks as a Jr member instead of an administrator for example?

Or is it due to the fact that you only focus on bitcoin.org as you are more active there as you said?

Well I don't know about cobra, maybe I am hearing for the first time today but from his profile it seems that the account has been registered in 2014.
Below the nickname is clearly stated the Custom Title: "Bitcoin.org domain administrator"
885  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-31] Here's How People Are Actually Using Bitcoin on: September 01, 2016, 08:19:57 PM
From the article we see that bitcoin is mostly being used for illegal things, fake ids, gambling etc, which is a bad marketing for bitcoin.

it also highlights how useful it can be.

with all these data mining blockchain analysis companies now there's gotta be a way of painting a picture of where all these coins are flying between. i'd love to see some type of diagram of an average day's breakdown of txs to exchanges, merchants, gambling and dark markets.

I have a feeling that when more and more people are using bitcoin the more bitcoin will be lost (unusable) and by this the bitcoin price increases.
The bitcoins are transferred from people to people and to miners which spend the bitcoins too.

This is another fact that I didn't know about the forum.
I checked the status of the bitcointalk domain and seems that the domain is renewed for additional 7 years last week, so this was done from you right?
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: help for canceling my zero fee transaction with 2.1 BTC... on: September 01, 2016, 08:00:08 PM
Thanks.. I will try it .. but where is my 2.1BTC goes .. will it return back to my wallet
https://blockchain.info/address/1JvYyMcpL12zZrspX4PXRy54BCsTfAyWXM

If this transaction will not get confirmed then the funds will be returned to the sender which seems to be 1Fnpr866zeRb24maVTtj6Kq162FgKy3c5B.
So if you are the sender you should see the wallet balance will be like before otherwise you should ask the sender to send again.
888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If You Had 20Bitcoin To Trade With... on: September 01, 2016, 07:54:32 PM
What would be your ultimate strategy to trade safely with 20BTC, cashing in a minimum of 1BTC a day. Also what would be the altcoin of your choice to trade in?

Earning 1BTC a day? Create an exchange, lists most of the altcoins and see if people trade up to 500BTC a day and with a 0.2% fee you earn 1BTC every day Smiley
Otherwise trading bitcoin to fiat or to altcoins still needs time to reach 1BTC but not within a day.
Agree even we know you can have it in trading there is still a risk that you can't get it in one trade so do not expect you can have it in a single trade actually a chance of loosing is high % in you just take a risk when you start a trade.

If we check poloniex 24-hours trading volume we can see how much money is being traded everyday and how much profit does this exchange get.
So in avg of 0.2% on fee poloniex makes good money, but we should know that to reach the popularity that has today is not easy and didn't started with 20 bitcoins.
Poloniex is a reputable exchange and the most  crowded exchange site i guess. In any exchanges  you can make decent amounts of money  but as you said  20bitcoins  on building and exchanger site would not be  enough since you would large amount to start  a site to gain large profits also.

Sometimes the 24 hour trading volume is around 80kBTC or more and checking today is around ~60kBTC which means that a lot of fee is hold by poloniex but we should know that there are lots of expenses that are spend to maintain the system and make it as much stable as possible.
But starting from zero earning 20BTC is really really hard.
889  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SmartIphone - Scammer! Scammed me 30$. on: September 01, 2016, 07:49:20 PM
Yes he told me on skype that its you, maybe he was not you really.

You should always confirm the authenticity of the skype at least you should sent me a PM to confirm that I'm that person or not.
Or at least you could ask him to send you a PM to prove that he is the real person you thought to deal to.
I would request from you to close this thread and change the title to beware of fake SmartIphone...
890  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-31] Here's How People Are Actually Using Bitcoin on: August 31, 2016, 10:27:34 PM
Bitcoin is a cipher—literally and figuratively. The crypto-currency conjures a William Gibson–esque panorama of dark web Tor servers, masked figures cavorting in Eastern European shipping containers, multibillion dollar South American cartel-laundering operations, gaunt college sophomores picking up Silk Road designer drugs at liberal arts–school mailboxes, and so forth. It's also an indicator of libertarian Silicon Valley utopianism where everyone pins their identity to the blockchain, eschewing the globalist banking Nanny State and spending the rest of their lives blissfully playing video games on a seasteader colony in international waters.

Wanted to see that video but seems that hackers put it down, "This video is not available."

I'm happy to see someone selling his car for bitcoin, what I want to ask is about the year because you say in the title 2002-2010.
The price don't know if is fair because there are many models of this and depending on the year, these a8 are heavy but have great interior but the fact that the engine has been replaced is not good.

894  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: August 31, 2016, 09:12:04 PM
While we are all here on this forum to earn one way or another, how well do you manage that money after you've earned it. Do you trade your Bitcoin as fast as you can spending it all in a day or do you save it? I recently got paid for a job I did in programming and i keep finding myself wanting to spend more of that money i made. I have a lot of credit card debt and that is not good. I have destroyed only two ofg my credit cards to which I owe thousands of dollars on.

how do you spend your money?

The human spends money as much as he has and if he can so basically I don't spend too much money so I can mange them better.
Don't spend on things that you don't need, on things that are luxury, save more bitcoin.
Yeah right its always the  best to save if you receive your salary for your job or here in bitcoin if you have a plan for your future savings is the best to do.
Spend it wise if you want to increase the amount of your bitcoin find a way to increase. Note don't invest in investment site all of them are full of promises and they are all scam no free money in online it needs hard work..

Mostly nothing is free, so even if it is free it needs time to complete that task and earn that money which I count non-free.
I try to manage the funds at the beginning of every month and I plan what and where to spend and leave some funds for unexpected situations.

898  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any safe way to grow my bitcoins ? on: August 31, 2016, 07:17:49 PM
Current have about 0.01 btc from nothing ,still earning from signature campaigns ONLY.
Can earn about 0.0052 per day Currently
So Can anybody give tips for growing my bitcoin please ?
Thanks!

There is no safe method that can generate me or you money easily and safe because investing in something involves high risk and the higher the risk is the higher the profit can be.
I'm looking too where to invest my money online but until now I see only the new altcoins can be a potential but has high risk too.

Altcoin investment is very risky to do with since the longer your money will be floating there the more riskier it will tske for you since there are.many ico nowadays ara suddenly turns scam or some other didn't really have a coins and just intend to scam for their false project. But you can actually see the potential of the coin if the dev used reputed escrow and have nice vision for his coin to grow in the future and that thing should be really a good thing to invest.

Every investment has it's risk and the higher the investment is the higher the risk is, but of course and the profit should be higher at most.
But why I mentioned altcoin is that is easy to obtain and easy to trade them for bitcoin through exchanges or sometimes through sale threads.
899  Economy / Services / Re: Paying 9000 satoshis everyday for every account! on: August 31, 2016, 06:34:29 PM
Hello to all,
I am paying 9000 satoshis everyday for each account you open and claim once a day.
You can have several account as long as you have more then 1 telephone number.
Pm if you are interested and we can discuss further.

That's almost 5 cents for this but still don't understand what is it about, is it a faucet or anythink else?
If you can explain more here would be better rather than explaning it to many people through PM.
900  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SmartIphone - Scammer! Scammed me 30$. on: August 29, 2016, 05:08:47 PM
I'm quite suprise how fast are the DT members negging the people that have not been proved that are scammers!! and don't tag those that have already scammed 100% like some signature /avatar campaigns which disappeared.

This is the second thread that I found agaist me and want to know if there is another one? lol

You have make some screenshot which are very worthless and without any meaning!

Where did you get my skype ID ?

I will try to speak to this user on skype. I was added to a group hes in. No promises but ill see what he has to say
We discussed a bit and it's 100% for sure that someone else scammed the OP which hasn't been online for few days.

He wanted only to damage my reputation and to get me out of the campaign I'm to.

Public Warning

This is just a fake accusation Against SmarIphone.. the skype Log is not belong to the original SmartIphone. I know him from skype and this account and Chat log OP showing in the Pics are totally fake. and SmartIphone is not from Ornaldo United States. LOL..

it's most likely OP's planing to ruin SmartIphone's reputation and Tag his account with Red Trust.

I want to ask OP how do you get this skype contect? show me the forum private message screenshot where SmartIphone sent you the skype account(ID) to add him??

Edit: I will pay OP on behalf of SmartIphone if he proof that the chat log belongs to real SmarIphone.

Thanks for the vouch and for your post while I wasn't online for more than 4 days.
I wish I could live in U.S but I'm not

Contacted Vod to remove the negative trust because the scam accusation is NOT valid.
