881  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Lendmecoin.com Released!! Now in Beta testing! on: July 10, 2012, 01:15:04 AM
Don't get all emotional about it, it's not like it even has SSL either so meh. Also the login page has a password field, so probably just an oversight.

come on dude, oversight? it just leads me to question how these passwords are being stored? Are they salted? Using bcrypt? Right now if I did a sql injection would it work? He probably uses mysql_* functions, not even mysqli_* and I eat my hat if he used PDO. This also leads me to be like well now he has all these security issues, how can this site be taken serious as a lending central point. I want to lend, but there are too many scammers and I was hoping a cool site would fix that I guess my wait continues.
I guess I take it for granted that everyone uses a different random password on every site (thanks, LastPass!), and never trusts one without SSL. The all caps warning just struck me as emotional, although I can see how this site would effectively gather in the newbies so perhaps it was warranted.

OMG they should include a coffee mug with the coffee warmer. Or at least as a 1BTC addon? It's a perfect combo!
Maybe for 1 or 2 orders, but those ordering 8-pack upgrades aren't going to want that many mugs I'll bet.

In fact, indeed! Here is your big chance to promote some competition, Charlie, which is reported to be so beneficial to any business sector!  Cheesy

Do tell jimbobway how many of those "many options" are "a legal business" such as yours...

Please tell us how easy it is to "start a bitcoin business selling bitcoins" in your case in America, which is what you call "legal", how low the cost of entry is, and how no one will be stopping you for any reason...  Cheesy
Oh look, a real sheeple, out in the wild!

That wasn't him. His account was hacked  Roll Eyes
You think so?

Ugh...must be the language gap where I fail to be ironic. Or my total ignorance when it comes to emoticons? I thought when I used roll eye it would point that i certainly doubt that hacked account crap story he pulled out.

Sorry, sarcasm never translates well on the internet. Unfortunately, the use of sarcasm on the internet requires that you be painfully clear about your position, otherwise you risk misinterpretation. For those that are naturally sarcastic (like me), it's kind of hard to deal with.  Undecided

Sorry for misunderstanding, of course i don't think someone would crack or hijack his account just to write a bunch of useless posts based on his "analysis" in the OP which consists of not more than 3 not very complicated sentences, and without real intention to reveal why he thinks that bitcoin is in trouble, or doomed.

Yeah C# is a bitch to port over to a multiplatform C/C++ codebase unless you feel like rewriting all the associated libraries too.

You should put your money on Pirate. Grenada doesn't even pay 0.005%/week

<hype><shill>
That's all you know! Interesting developments soon!

</grenada>

Thanks for that, it'll be 10 btc please. Address in my sig.
Your argument is invalid, I never said "coming" soon.

Also, I'll pay you out of the profits. That's it!

I have news for you OP, litecoin will more likely than not take another crash dive real soon when the big dump comes-a-flying.
I'd crash it if I could be arsed to pull that old wallet out of my backups. But they aren't worth enough to warrant the hassle.

The liver of polar bear contains lethal amounts of vitamin A.

Are you suggesting an alternative to foie gras for the California market?
Yes pls.

Well, now at least we have a better idea of where the pirate island is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_colors_of_national_flags#Red.2C_green_and_yellow
My money's on Grenada.
893  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are all of the BFL power bricks complete shit? on: July 09, 2012, 07:41:03 PM
Thanks rjk, assuming Inaba measured one of the rev 3 Singles with a 80mm fan at the bottom (not all rev 3 have this fan), then he confirms my numbers within ±4% (I measure 5.7A under load).
At that point, it probably would have been a Rev2 with the additional fan. They might pull more if they run at a higher temp due to additional leakage. Also, they all seem to have their own personality, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were some that pulled 5.5A and others that pulled 6A that were otherwise identical.
894  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2x Jalpeno order - selling my place in line - order #1776 on: July 09, 2012, 06:55:00 PM
Just got a bid in PM from a user that can't post here yet:

If this guy renigs I will buy the 2 spots for $425 and I will pay it tomorrow. Please let me know as soon as you can and I will make arrangements to get coins or money. thanks and have a great week.

JohnnyZ
I have yet to hear back from this guy, what a surprise with only one post in the newbies section. I think I would rather sell to someone who is going to communicate anyways, so do you still want it for $410 sadpandatech?

I ought to set some minimum buyer requirements in the future.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is taint? on: July 09, 2012, 06:31:09 PM
Actually, the guy above me is wrong, I believe you will find that I am right in that "tainted" coins were a problem first associated with MtGox who started blocking accounts who received them.
Go learn about what CONTEXT means, you fool.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is in big trouble and is ultimately doomed! on: July 09, 2012, 06:30:07 PM
Uhm, I am sensing some negativity, I just wanted to start a discussion on Bitcoin.
Instead of trying to make the world come to you and explain it all in baby-talk, why not do some of your own original research?
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is in big trouble and is ultimately doomed! on: July 09, 2012, 06:19:00 PM
Hmm, perhaps a few possibilities:

1. OP is high
2. OP is hacked, and hacker is posting on a different login session (unlikely)
3. OP is retarded, stupid, an idiot, or some combination of those
4. OP is pushing some kind of agenda (whose?)
5. OP is a scammer trying to raise his post count in order to become more legitimate to new users (also likely) before selling them stuff and running.
5a. See how he never quotes anyone, so as to leave incriminating or opposing views out of his post history?
6. OP needs to get a life and come back in a few years

Choose your own adventure!
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is in big trouble and is ultimately doomed! on: July 09, 2012, 05:52:10 PM
rjk, Bit-coin will fail at some point, I see no point in having an address to sell any coins I may come into possession of. And thanks for the thought out post Vandroiy!
Are you even reading what you are writing?
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is in big trouble and is ultimately doomed! on: July 09, 2012, 05:49:37 PM
psy, please keep on topic, this post is not about litecoin.
So you think bitcoin will fail, but you still have a donation address in your sig?

Whatever.
