881  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: CGMiner keeps on crashing? on: March 21, 2012, 02:28:54 AM
I was getting "C05" exceptions when I pushed card too hard.
Trying to set Max VDDC outside of BIOS range, or pushing core clocks too far.

Try to lower your clocks, bring voltages to stock and gradually move them up/down to your optimal settings
until you get some stability.

cgminer does not catch exceptions (probably for the sake of efficiency) so if driver goes boo boo you get what you get.
It might be cgminer code that does not check its pointers before every access (again for efficiency) and expects driver to allocate
stuff properly, then it passes a null pointer or handle in opencl call and we get c05

they are NOT overclocked

they are under voltage tho.

5870s are at .9v

883  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / CGMiner keeps on crashing? on: March 20, 2012, 05:01:03 PM
hey guys,

I'm currently using the latest CGminer and a couple of days ago CGminer has been turning itself off every 2 hours. I don't know the reason behind this. Other than the fact that I just did a fresh win7 install again.

Not all hardware are the same. This card is a beast. It maxed out in Catalyst OC. If you're not here to buy / trade then please move on. I don't need lessons from you.

It wasn't a lesson, it was a "hey, if you get a little better rate, someone  might just buy it off you today."

I'm in no rush. I have 2 months to sell these.
893  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling/Trading Mining Hardware - Ship from US to Anywhere GFX Cards/ Mobo / PSU on: March 06, 2012, 10:39:29 PM
I have an i7-2600k, send PM to discuss possible trade or sale if interested

Only need 2700k. I have 6 2600ks Wink

++MSI Reference 7970 - This card is a beast!

This will do stock core / 150 mem @ .95V ~550 mh/s with Diablo Miner

O and I also max OC this card on core and mem for benchmarking in 3DMark11 and it ran it great!

Asking: $580 + shipping

Had it for a week so far and love it!

You sorta missed my point.  You bought it, "used it for a week" and now want to charge the same price Amazon is charging for a brand new, unopened card?

Just to clarify, the MSI 7970 is used, right? Was the card registered within the first 30 days?

I've only had it for a week. Not yet registered/ - for MSI you don't need to register I don't think. They go by serial numbers.
895  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling/Trading Mining Hardware - Ship from US to Anywhere GFX Cards/ Mobo / PSU on: March 06, 2012, 07:24:35 PM
I have to ask.. why would you buy this hardware knowing school was ending?

I bought most of these last semester. Mined about 80 coins. I buy and resell things anyways so why not? Smiley

Hey guys,

School is ending soon so I'm going to start selling off my hardware. I get free electricity from my dorm but not from my house so I am selling my mining stuff Smiley

URL?

http://deepbit.net/ Huh

I tried using that URL and using my login but it would not let me add a pool!

I also tried...

899  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: low mhash on my 7970 and 6950 on: February 29, 2012, 09:48:20 PM
I currently own 2 pc's and decided to finally try out mining.

PC#1 has 1x 7970 (540mhash) and 2x 7950 (420mhash each).

This is with guiminer and opencl, it feels rather low no?
I was expecting atleast 600mhash for 7970 and atleast 500mhash on the 7950's?

PC#2 this one has just one 6950, it only gets 265mhash but it has SDK 2.6, I'm now trying 2.4 as maybe that is better, I'm running desktop off Intel IGP.

use diablominer and 12.3 drivers - do not install any sdk.
