903  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading bitcoin in the UK on: November 01, 2012, 05:43:05 AM
I'm now trading bitcoins, sellers get mt. Gox gbp price buyers pay a 5% fee, I don't intend to change the world it's just there as an option that may suit some who want to avoid funding or transferring funds from exchanges.

904  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So how on earth am I supposed to get bitcoins in the UK? on: November 01, 2012, 05:22:09 AM
You could give my site a try http://mjbmonetarymetals.co.uk/ fill a form from the bitcoin tab

I buy bitcoins at mt. Gox gbp price and sell at +5%

Might be useful for some in the UK, at least until we get a fully functioning exchange.

I think your right on the price, also if I had of kept hold of the bitcoin till now I would have done much better. At the time I was torn between holding them and selling them. Essentially I needed to cash them to fund more stock so I should have done that immediately, but inevitably on most occasions I held onto the bitcoins call it short term greed just long enough though to hit a price drop every time .i was selling them all through a period where the bitcoin price was stair stepping down. All a good learning experience no fault on bitcoins part rather my own judgement.

Ok so the original dies........ These where produced by the Cmc mint who still hold the dies, as I think I mentioned in the thread I had never limited the type 2, so those could be made available, however the typr 1's are out of bounds as I stated clearly production of those where limited to 1000.

Not sure if you mean type 3 as a fresh design, it might be better to pm or email me.  you could take the route of dealing with the cmc direct in having more of the type 2 produced by them after buying the dies plus rights from me the dies originally cost me $295 , alternatively we could look into having them shipped to you.

I sold 2300 and I'm sure I never made a penny, shouldn't admit that ..... My excuse was the bitcoin price was much more volatile, all over the place  Grin

Need to move to the US  Grin Wait hang on ..... I think not  Roll Eyes working exchanges should be pretty high on the to-do list
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no press/PR re: the London Conference? on: September 18, 2012, 03:18:16 PM
I see, this is face to face with cash ? The profit on the stuff I sell is so slim, to cash my bitcoins by siting in a coffee shop with a red carnation waiting for a face to face would blow any profit out of the water  Roll Eyes it's true I haven't looked into it closely as of yet I just need bitcoins to cash in a couple of mouse clicks
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no press/PR re: the London Conference? on: September 18, 2012, 01:22:05 PM
London conference, uk hasn't even got a functioning exchange, I'm tying to trade using bitcoins and cant even sell them. I must be missing something, not quite cutting edge more blunt spoon  Huh
918  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help build a better Bitcoin logo! on: July 05, 2012, 10:20:49 PM
Im not poo-pooing the idea of a revised bitcoin logo, aren't we a little too far down the road now ? Wouldn't a new logo give the impression of a re-launch of sorts like bitcoin 2.0 ? I have used the Bitcoin logo in a few projects not directly related to bitcoin so I'm probably biased towards the current design, regardless I'll be interested to see what may materialise

The silver copper art rounds did ok ,but I never got the mobile mining rig past the prototype stage  Grin
