901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin illegal in Nepal on: January 09, 2018, 08:26:41 AM
The communist government of Nepal is not very friendly towards cryptocurrencies just yet, because Nepalese officials are in the midst of discussing regulatory guidelines. On October 6, 2017, a task-force from the CIB arrested seven suspects allegedly involved with running “bitcoin exchange” operations. The CIB explains that the operators violated the order of the National Bank of Nepal that stated until regulations are conceived bitcoin, and other cryptocurrency exchange businesses are “illegal.”

As far as I know, the Nepali nationals can travel to India without a Visa or a passport and work there. So what prevents them from selling their coins in India and then returning to Nepal with Indian rupee banknotes? After all, the Indian Rupee is widely accepted in Nepal.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Asia on: January 09, 2018, 08:24:08 AM
Bitcoin investments are popular in South Korea and Japan because of Chinese law, so now Chinese investors can only trade privately.

Chinese investors are purchasing Bitcoins through exchanges in Hong Kong and South Korea. I am not very sure whether they are using the Japanese exchanges, because they are having tough KYC requirements. Also, the South Korean authorities have tried to ban the Chinese users from the exchanges in their country.
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any further Bitcoin fork? on: January 09, 2018, 08:20:54 AM
There are dozens of forks coming out every month, and no one is even keeping track of it. I am having an account in YoBit and they have deposited some of these forked coins in my account. They include Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin United, Bitcoin Unlimited, and Bitcoin Hot.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 09, 2018, 08:17:14 AM
Tonight, I would try with Louis Williams over 24.5 points. Practically whole first team of Clippers is missing, so he shouldn't have bigger problems to cross this border. Actually, I predict him scores 35+ points easily.

You lucky fellow! He made 34 points in that game against the Atlanta Hawks. But I am glad that you didn't went for 35+. You would have lost money if you had tried with 35.0 points. I watched highlights of the game between Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers and Lou Williams was terrific.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: January 09, 2018, 08:12:39 AM
Definitely not. Being a gambler is nothing to be ashamed of. I am playing with my own money. I am not stealing the money from anyone or taking a loan from the bank. So as far as I am concerned, there is nothing to be shameful about being a gambler, unless the activity is banned in your country.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: January 08, 2018, 04:28:54 PM
Criminals use all currencies and not only Bitcoin, since very long time. In fact they are using fiat money a lot more than Bitcoin and crypto currencies, because Bitcoin and crypto in general still not really supported everywhere around the world.

You are right. Even now it is quite difficult to convert Bitcoins to fiat cash or vice versa. And nowadays the majority of the exchanges are asking for KYC documents and other ID proof. The best possible payment method for the terrorists remains fiat cash, in physical form. The anonymity offered by physical cash is unmatched to any other form of payment method.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: January 08, 2018, 04:23:46 PM
I don't know exactly how wealthy, because bitcoin and gold have a significant different, the gold is the profit able asset and bitcoin has many advantages over the gold that bitcoin is secure investment.

LOL.... Are you saying that Bitcoin is a secure investment and gold is not so? I would consider Bitcoin as anything but secure. If you invest in Bitcoin, then there is no guarantee that your investment will not turn to zero overnight. I am not saying that gold is entirely risk-free. But from what we have seen till now, the risk associated with gold is much lower when compared to the other assets.
908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be more profitable in the upcoming years? on: January 08, 2018, 04:17:57 PM
Bitcoin has the potential to give huge profits in the near future. If a currency such as Ripple (which is having only a few hundred thousand users) can get $100+ billion market cap, then definitely Bitcoin (with more than 100 million users) has the potential to attain a market capitalization of more than $1 trillion. It is not going to happen overnight, though.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: January 08, 2018, 04:11:58 PM
Definitely not. I have always enjoyed my gambling sessions, even on occasions where I've lost significant amounts of money. For me, gambling represents an opportunity to relax and interact with friends. It also makes your brain sharper. But then, you should never get addicted to gambling. Once you are addicted, then everything is lost.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 08, 2018, 04:08:37 PM
This is bowling pitch so Batsman is struggling to make a big score. India lost one more wicket 103/7. need 105 runs i think it is not possible. SA will win.

Guys, it's over. India bowled out for just 135, with Vernon Philander taking six wickets. I would have bet on India and lost my money, but fortunately I decided to skip this match. And BTW, I don't know why they are including Ashwin in the playing XI. He is good only in Indian conditions. He can never perform in countries such as South Africa and Australia.
911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can ruin a Country? on: January 07, 2018, 02:03:09 PM
Bitcoin has been in existence for more than nine years now. Till now, it has not ruined any country of territory. I would agree that some criminals are taking advantage of the anonymity of Bitcoins to engage in criminal activities such as drugs trade and ransom demands. But it Bitcoin was not there, then they would have used some other form of payment.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 07, 2018, 01:50:39 PM
Golden State is really superior to the other teams! Golden State has won many matches without Curry and has now won without Durant against Houston. I would not be surprised if Golden State at the playoffs will win all 4-0 rounds! currently there is no team that can beat it

Will they win a match against the Houston Rockets, if both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are not playing? Apart from these two, they don't have any legends in their team. Players such as Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Andre Iguodala are really talented. But you can't say that they are at the same level as Durant and Curry.
913  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice - One of the largest casinos in the world? on: January 07, 2018, 01:44:31 PM
Judging by www.dicesites.com it seems like Primedice is doing 50 million USD in volume a week. That's absolutely insane. I don't think there's many sites that come close to that. I Googles around a bit to see what turnover other casinos have and it seems Primedice is up there.

Go Bitcoin! Hopefully Primedice can help rise to the top and show everyone why Bitcoin is so amazing.

I am not sure how reliable dicesites.com is, but I have used PrimeDice from 2013 onward, when they used to have a lot of promotional offers here in Bitcointalk. Also, they used to have one of the longest running signature campaigns here in BCT. The monthly maximum payment was somewhere around BTC2.40 (the exchange rates were lower then).
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be more profitable in the upcoming years? on: January 06, 2018, 06:27:30 PM
bitcoin will always be profitable for the next 10-20 years. I think the future of bitcoin is still wide open. and I have some bitcoin to hold for as long as I want

You can't make these wild predictions without any sort of valid arguments and reasoning. First of all, 20 years is an extremely long duration, at least for digital assets such as crypto-currencies. And secondly, there is no guarantee that Bitcoin will remain as the no.1 crypto in the long term. Already alts such as Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Ripple are giving it very strong competition.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Asia on: January 06, 2018, 06:23:53 PM
How common is Bitcoin in Asia? Just want to know Huh

Bitcoin is popular in different countries on asia like china, China is one of the lowest electricity consumption place where it is the best place to build a mining hardware and that is the reason why china is one of the biggest contributor in the market.

But then the legality of Bitcoin is always in doubt there. Recently, the Chinese government banned crypto vs fiat trading through the online exchanges. And there has been rumors about the authorities planning to crackdown on the bitcoin mining sector.
916  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-05] Visa Cracks Down on Bitcoin Debit Cards in Europe on: January 06, 2018, 06:19:31 PM
This is quite worrying. Even I am holding a Bitcoin Debit Card (Visa), issued from Hong Kong. And right now, I have around $800 in that card. Is there any need to withdraw that amount immediately? Or should I keep the balance in the debit card account?
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transaction with fee paid of $20 (327 sat/B) stuck for over 24 hours on: January 06, 2018, 06:14:12 PM
As far as I can see, the transaction is not yet confirmed. I know it is frustrating to wait for more than a day, even after paying such a huge amount as the transaction fee. But right now, our options are limited. BTW, how much did you paid to get the transaction accelerated?
918  Economy / Services / Need Nepali to English translation for a 9 minute audio clip. on: January 06, 2018, 09:12:22 AM
Hi.. I am having an audio clip in Nepali language. It needs to be translated to English (in text format). The total duration is 9 minutes 30 seconds. I would prefer the payment in Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum. Please reply here with your rates.
919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to overcome the fear of holding? on: January 05, 2018, 12:40:38 PM
How do you traders do it, hold and hold and hold. Waiting around for more and more money?

Whenever I receive some altcoin or a token, I sell 50% of it (for either Bitcoin or fiat cash) and keep the remainder for long-term storage. So far, this strategy has worked for me. It has helped me to maintain a healthy balance in BTC, and at the same time, I have profited out whenever an altcoin or token was pumped.
920  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin on: January 05, 2018, 12:37:31 PM
It is true that some of the altcoins have given huge amounts of returns when compared to Bitcoin. For example, the exchange rates of XEM has increased by 15,000x during the last 18 months. But I have made my decision to stick with Bitcoin despite the attractiveness of big profits. Loyalty matters.
