901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 22, 2022, 07:40:11 AM
My heart is like rooting for Miami but my head is picking Boston. Head to head I believe Boston is the better team. And they are enjoying a homecourt lead now after managing to take game 2.
Did you follow your heart? Because if you did then you are a winner today.
No Butler in the 2nd half and that is why the Celtics made a run to get close with the lead. It even went to a point with just 1 point deficit and the Celtics fans are getting louder.
Max Strus though shut them up with a dagger of three pointer. He surely stepped up his game with 4/7 at 3-pt line and including Adebayo who punished the Celtics in the paint. Impressive adjustment from the Miami coaching staff.
902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT and photographers on: May 21, 2022, 05:15:33 PM
But what majority of the NFT markers do - they buy their own NFT twice or thrice to show some transactions around their NFT so that it can generate some interest.
Whoa! I didn't know that! That's a good strategy that I never heard. Make it look valuable because someone is buying and selling it back and create your own demand. Slick! It could work.
Just to add for OP, you may also want to check the photographs being sold first to have a good idea of how it goes. You may try unique but there must be a more appealing photo and you need to try and look at the market on which are in demand. Good luck.
903  Economy / Economics / Re: Constant defamation of crypto on: May 21, 2022, 02:42:33 PM
Probably because they haven't discovered yet on how they could corrupt the crypto industry. They don't know much about it because most who are in government are either stuck on traditional things (fiat) or they are too old to study about it.
Then, there's the constant news about crypto scammers that had made it look more bad. Where do we get our news now? The internet, social media, and vlogs. That is also where cryptocurrencies live. Imagine that.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 21, 2022, 05:27:48 AM
Luka and Brunson got it going but it surely wasnt enough to match the star power of Curry, Thompson, Green and Looney stepping up for both games. While the bench playing crucial role as well, with Otto Porter and Wiggins and Poole all getting double digit scores at times where Curry was rested and offense was lacking.
I really thought that was it, time for the Mavericks to win the game. Their first half was better and it's going at their own pace while the Warriors are just hanging there. But that second half made a huge difference. I admire the Warriors bench for doing such a good job. They didn't just prevent the Mavs to score while their starters are resting, they stepped it up one more notch and gave them the lead.
You can see how an experienced team work it out when they are down. The defense was pure and in a higher level.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 20, 2022, 06:33:17 PM
Looks like the Heat need these 2 things.
1. A second or third player that can help Butler offensively.
2. Kyle Lowry

I don't know if Kyle Lowry will play this post-season, so if somebody knows it, then they can share it here. Overall, the Heat's performance isn't that bad in Game 2, but the Celtics had a better offense than them thus, they lost. The three point shooting of Celtics is one of the reason why they won. In Game 1, they only shot 11/34, but in Game 2 they shot 20/40. Another one is the return of Smart and Horford, and we know how impactful they are defensively.

I'll go with Celtics in 7 here. I believe that they are a team that is good defensively, and at the same time, good offensively as well.
Indeed they need Lowry because they won't let Tyler Herro do the playmaking. Why? He is young and doesn't have enough playoff experience unlike Lowry with a championship ring. Butler is not that type and we saw how bad he is when he tries to pass the ball. Gabe Vincent is also not their choice.
If Lowry won't play though there might be another solution. Do isolation plays but it needs to be perfect. Herro and Butler are good at it but their problem will be double-team if the Celtics caught what they are trying to do.
The other strategy I could think of is go small ball. They cannot maximize the strength of Adebayo because there is no one to pass it in so better take him out.
906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna classic after the fork on: May 20, 2022, 01:06:56 PM
Yes. But I doubt it will work out fine just because they are aiming for a fork and being a new coin. If you are thinking about buying it then I suggest you wait. It's not that I am not giving them a chance but once trust is broken then it will not be easy to invite new investors.
Perhaps, creating a fresh start will be better. Take out the Luna name and make something new. Although they worked hard for that name to be known the stain will not be gone for a year or more. The internet will not erase that kind of bad history.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 20, 2022, 11:29:16 AM
I was wrong thinking Miami Heat will have a 2-0 before Game 3. My guess is, that the Heat and Celtics will take their respective home advantage then they will meet at Game 5 with a 2-2 series then that's the time we will have a headache on what team has the upper edge.

The Boston Celtics take that Game 1 loss as a lesson and look at what they did, defeating Miami Heat by a large margin right at their home court. The Celtics will be back at their home and maybe can get a 3-1 lead before returning to the Miami Heat arena.
I am on the same boat of thoughts there. I didn't realize the two missing piece of the Boston Celtics could be that big of an impact.
I said last time it will be a close game if they were there, but the results today wasn't even close. It's a blowout game and Miami Heat cannot find an answer for them. I didn't even see a long good run, most of the time the Celtics will answer back if ever they will make a short run.
Tatum being a run stopper is a big key for them to win it. Star players should handle that type of role and he didn't let them down.
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: May 20, 2022, 08:17:50 AM
That may be the best term for it. Just sideways.  Cheesy
Good opportunity for short-term traders, make money in a day run or even just in minutes. Yesterday, May 19, Bitcoin was at $28k which and now at $30k which means a 2k difference which is a good profit already in just hours of waiting.
IMO, this is the same as what happened before, I think BTC was at $3k and stayed there for a long time. December of 2018 to March of 2019. Next, will be another pump in my prediction, sadly I don't know when.
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Proposal for LUNA on: May 19, 2022, 04:28:28 PM
With a broken trust? Nah, even with the best proposal given it will unlikely lift up. That is a thing in investing in cryptocurrencies or even with other assets.
Once you fail, it's difficult to return in your once upon a time greatest achievement.
Old investors of LUNA will surely look for an opportunity to sell off their remaining coins that was stuck in the middle of everything that happened. They trusted it could pump back but it didn't and it may not ever. They want something in the space of what they invested, not another dimension.
In short, they want their money back.
As an investor, I don't like buying stuff where old investors are lurking in the shadows ready to sell anytime.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 19, 2022, 03:12:27 PM
It could've been a close game if the Mavericks are making their shots. Most of them are not a good throw even if they are free. Either they are forcing it or they are nervous facing the champions. If they will manage to break that curse then we will see a better Game 2.
We saw how they did against the Suns on Game 7, every throw is full of confidence and I am waiting for Finney Smith to make it. 5 points is not what I expected and he didn't shoot the ball much outside. Hesitations will not help.
911  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest everything looking bearish on: May 19, 2022, 07:54:43 AM
This kind of problem is just repeating itself. Whenever we hit inflation we suddenly want our money invested in something. Well, that's the right attack but have you saved money for it during the times where there is no inflation happening?
Again, another problem. We are using what's left of our savings because we didn't save any at all during good times. We should think like an ant. Winter or  not, food is being stocked.

What to buy in this dumped season? Any in the top 10 have a chance for a fast increase if ever the market goes well.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to detetct any scam projects? on: May 18, 2022, 03:36:49 PM
Can anyone explain how to analyze a project so that one can escape from getting scammed?
Hey Dave, that's not easy. They can be hiding it at a better way than other legitimate projects who have better goals.
I have been in this kind of position before when I ask myself on how I could surface whatever their evil intent is, but you may not even see it unless you know someone behind it.
They are getting better at making whitepapers, a fake team, a fake project and so on. I am victim in short.  Cry So I learned. Don't force your way into buying cheap coins because they look to have promising future. Go easy and take the clean route with known crypto's like BTC and ETH.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 18, 2022, 10:08:30 AM
Did Kobe also trained Jayson Tatum before? Wow! I didn't know that, what I know was is that Durant also used to train the Celtics superstar before when I think Tatum was still a high school student or somewhere in his younger years.
Yes he did. He workout with him. God, how I miss Kobe.
Anyway, Tatum and the rest of Celtics roster did a good job on defeating and eliminating two heavy teams in the league this season. Maybe I'm wrong but I think it will be the Boston Celtics vs Dallas Mavericks who will play on the Finals.
Neither wrong, nor right. All the teams that's left keeps on surprising us and might as well say it will be an unpredictable Finals and this is what most NBA fans love. No super teams, just relying on the basics to play the game with high energy on both ends of the floor.
Miami Heat may have won at the 1st game but we saw how the 20 point lead was cut easily by the Celtics. That will mean a lot to them, a chance, especially when Horford and Smart comes back.
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Terra (LUNA) recover some time in the future? on: May 17, 2022, 05:14:49 PM
I've read a claim about the team that they will do their best to resurrect it and are not giving it up yet.
https://finbold.com/can-terra-luna-be-saved-heres-the-founders-resurrection-plan/
I have been following it although I am not invested but I see they didn't also liked what happened with their market due UST de-pegging.
In regards about a recovery, it may recover but not as hard as it was. Maybe back to a dollar or less. A market like Doge or Shiba with cents of increase and decrease.
It's how they can pull the trust of their investors back to make it successful.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 17, 2022, 02:19:46 PM
With how the Celtics played in Game 7, I'm pretty convinced that they have a chance to defeat the Heat. The Celtics are known for their great defense but they also are a good three point shooting team and we've seen it against the Bucks in the last game. 20 threes? If Grant Williams will play like that all throughout the series, they have a chance because I think he is the game changer. If his threes will sink, they can defeat the Heat.
I doubt the Miami Heat will leave Grant Williams like that. I watched the entire game of Bucks versus Celtics and I saw the Bucks letting Williams shoot all those threes like a free shot on a practice game. The Heat never played like that, as much as possible everyone will be defended inside or outside the floor.
So after I lose my prediction (Bucks vs Suns) I am changing it to Warriors vs Heat at the Finals. I hope I am correct this time.
Do you guys think a sweep could happen?
916  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy? . . . Nah, hang on a minute. on: May 17, 2022, 11:37:30 AM
Old rule. Repeated many times but the mistake will always happen. Investors tend to make an error using loans just to invest in a bear market which for me is another addition to the risk factor of investing in cryptocurrencies.
It's not just what you can afford to lose, it must be your own money that you are risking either a part of your savings or just your leftovers for being thrifty. Also depends on the right timing of purchase, there will be times when a bear market looks like it reach the deepest but it may not, like what happened with Bitcoin.
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 16, 2022, 07:05:48 PM
I guess they will say now that Middleton is a big loss for the Bucks. They don't have a shooter to rely on to space the floor and someone who can be a run stopper. Defense of the Bucks was not as high as they played in Game 3 where they shut down Tatum at 10 points and I don't like the idea of letting Grant Williams shoot outside while they block the paint, one of the reason why they loss badly. Adjustments is the big trick and then the bench points.

Yes, he was a big loss, but Celtics really are a strong team, they played very well in the last game and one guy from the Celtics roster showed up, it was Grant Williams, he had a big night offensively.
Sure is. I am not a Celtics fan but that kind of performance is worth to watch. Not just Grant Williams, Jayson Tatum proving why he is the face of the Celtics and stepped up his game when they needed him the most. He must have looked at the mirror long enough to reflect about his worst performance in Game 3 and he changed it way far that we would forget about it.
He reminds me a bit of Kobe and I think being one of his students he got the charisma from him and some identical signatures.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question of the day 5/16 on: May 16, 2022, 05:49:05 PM
thank you guys who responded above but I guess what I’m trying to figure out is we have an opportunity to develop a token for a community, it wouldn’t be something that the masses could use it’s only segregated for this one community in this country so being that it is only designated for this small population would a stable coin make more sense over a coin?  The only reason why we’re thinking a stable coin is because we cannot have the volatility that normal cryptocurrency carries. On the other hand this stable coin if we go that route it’s not something the average person will have access to purchase you have to live in this community in order to buy it. Now because it’s very limited as far as who can get this token it doesn’t make sense to list it on an exchange as it would be a private community token correct?

Then why not just stay with digital money? Local bank money with application. If you will not open it in the world, there might be an economic breakdown in your place. This is like playing house or a board game like monopoly or chips from a gambling den. So what if you go places and you only have your QR code in you? How are you going to spend it? It is unknown to the world.
What will the stablecoin you are trying to make be backed with to have value?
919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $25K the bottom? on: May 16, 2022, 02:15:21 PM
$26k. The lowest I have seen ever since it hit an ATH. I am riding the side of believing it is the bottom. It is cheap. We have seen it go up in manners that is hard to explain so I am guessing there are still investors who are willing to wait and they might be successful just using mere patience.
Even those who sold at $35k will be in good profit now if they will buy back with a good amount of increase in BTC and all they need to do is keep it again.
It's a win-win for the patient investors and for those who got scared.
The big question is, are they already buying back or getting greedy to wait for a lower price? I think they should buy already or they will miss the new train.
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 16, 2022, 09:07:16 AM
What a night! 2 teams from the 2021 finals got eliminated on the same night both in the 2nd round and game 7s.
It would be a surprise If Dallas will win the WCF. I'm kinda excited what would Luka Doncic do in the WCF or the Finals If they're good enough to beat the Warriors.
While at the same time, I am hoping for the Celtics to finally go to the Finals after LeBron deprived them from doing so before.
Yeah, that broke two of my predictions. I was hoping the Suns could go finish this one and see CP3 and Curry play against each other once again.
But Luka. Wow. It's difficult to put it in words. He is just too amazing.
