921  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any way of knowing decayed smerits. on: October 11, 2023, 04:27:49 AM
Your link leads to the user's profile, to the merits section.
Nothing happens to merits that are not distributed. If someone does not share them, then they do not deteriorate and do not disappear. If a user is banned, his undistributed merits are not transferred anywhere. I saw somewhere a warning, or rather advice, not to accumulate merits, otherwise, they may disappear, but in fact, I have never seen such a case.
For many, the accumulation of merit and then a grandiose distribution with the creation of a high-profile topic sometimes becomes a temporary game of merit sources. But it’s better not to create a lot of noise around yourself, but to be simpler, so as not to be greedy and share merit with other users, without demanding from them posts that are suitable for an academic dissertation.

What excuses are you talking about? You decided to force everyone to buy Bitcoin. Are you sure you're going the right way? There is no need to force anyone. People are independent enough to make their own decisions and manage their own finances. Your lessons are just stealing other people's content and copying, which you think you are teaching people. Let's look at the OP's tags.

Oh boy... hahaha i saw this post and he got some merits on it too.... didn't suspect such a naive posts can be a copy paste case Cheesy

How difficult it was to put a link to it? I'm sure he should have got same merits and same attentions/discussion irrespective of this post from him or he/she is referencing it

Well done lovesmayfamilis... these will never learn a lesson otherwise.

One of those cases is when a user with three plagiarisms in his history is not punished.

Unfortunately, the rules are level but not equal for everyone.
924  Other / Meta / Re: Can I stake multiple BTC address? on: October 07, 2023, 01:37:49 PM
Don't go to extremes; where have you seen someone confirm their Bitcoin address to change their password?
But on another issue, you can write several Bitcoin addresses; in case of hacking, you will have to confirm any address that was on the forum before you were hacked or lost your forum password.
925  Other / Meta / Re: Should Merit-Sources use feelings when giving out Merit? on: October 07, 2023, 12:43:23 PM
First, remove the word "should."
Each merit source acts at its own discretion. Someone gives out merits of 50 pieces, and I doubt that people who receive such a number of merits are among the favorites; someone distributes merits even for plagiarism; and someone will give merit to an account with a negative tag.
The word “should” is inappropriate here, since you cannot influence a person to do something if he does not agree with it. But I like merit sources that distribute merit without delving into emotions. If a post is good on the topic, you can earn it, just like if there is a good joke and it deserves merit.
There are a lot of questions in Meta this week about sources of merit. Why does it seem to me that one person sometimes answers himself? Sometimes you can hide behind an alternative account, but the behavior remains the same. Cheesy
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 12:03:30 PM
I want to ask those who say that they play for fun to try to give some amount that they are ready to lose to hungry children and old people. Anyone who doesn’t know what it is to get pleasure from helping others should try it. You can understand that the money you give to a rich casino may make a child happier by buying him a toy or medicine. But unfortunately, gambling is a vice, and vicious people need to help themselves. Eternally hunting for money without getting anything useful from it makes your life very empty and useless.
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many BTC does the Forum's Administrators Have? on: October 07, 2023, 09:08:13 AM
I understand that some members have no reason to hide their Bitcoin holdings, but I see no reason to make it public either. For example, I have nothing to hide, but I still want to exercise my right to privacy. No one needs to know how many Bitcoins I have in my possession, just as no one needs to know how much money I have in the bank or in a private safe.

As for the mods and admins, I believe most of them are very well aware of how to keep their Bitcoin holdings safe, and I doubt they have made their cold store addresses public.

I completely agree. There are people who like to stick their noses into the keyhole to look into their neighbor's wallet. I think this is a very bad trait, and I’m sure the OP would be against it if we were discussing his personal affairs here. OP, looking into someone else’s wallet and counting other people’s money gives rise to envy and, as a result, bad illnesses. Am I seeing merit hunters again?
928  Economy / Economics / Re: I am forgetting the value of money. on: October 07, 2023, 07:27:28 AM
I don't think you need to judge yourself for being more successful. Each person is the builder of his own life. You don't know the reasons why a woman is poor. Perhaps she had several moments when she herself did not want to improve her life. Some people are poor because it is their choice; some are very lazy; and some have decided to accept poverty as a fact of life. Nevertheless, we should not waste money, realizing that sometimes we can curb our fleeting desires and maybe instead help someone who is not having a sweet time.
929  Economy / Economics / Re: Marriage mean double your passive income, rental property mean double your passi on: October 07, 2023, 06:26:28 AM
Everything depends on the people and the family in which each member of the future family grew up and was raised. It is impossible to predict and calculate your entire life. Very successful people may experience cases of bankruptcy, unexpected human factors, deterioration in health, and so on. If a person is endowed with decency and has an understanding that it is necessary to work since the future of their family depends on him or her, everything will be fine. Even if people are poor, with the right mindset, they will always have a chance for a better life.

It’s strange to read how you propose to choose wives here. If your wife is rich, then you will always be reproached for being poor. Therefore, do not choose wives like horses, but take a closer look at the person, just like women; you should not rush to get married as soon as you have a husband. Stick to the expression, “It’s better to be with no one than with just anyone.”

Marriage does not mean doubling capital; it means one common capital, with the full respect of the spouses for each other.
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not for Bitcoin on: October 07, 2023, 05:53:50 AM
The other thread is not bad and has earned you some merits but I would recommend you not to open too many threads just expressing what you think or people may get tired of it.

That said, you are probably right that if it were not for Bitcoin the cryptocurrency industry would have gone much further downhill and possibly collapsed, although it is very difficult to make any claims about what would have happened if what has, in fact, happened had not happened. It enters the realm of pure mental philosophy or speculation.

Good advice. You are right that the creator of the topic is very greedy, thinking that if he managed to copy one piece of content that was not noticed, and he also received a lot of merits, then he could safely steal and copy it in the future. The OP was very wrong here.

The purchasing power of 1Us dollar vs 1Bitcoin clearly shows that one is going to zero, while the other is not.

When we compare Bitcoin with the best, most used fiat and most reliable currency in the world, the Us dollar it clear show that Bitcoin is on a different level to the Us dollar.
Let me show you why wealthy men like changpeng Zhao(cz), Brian Armstrong, Jed mc Caleb etc can hold billions in Bitcoin without being afraid.

If you are afraid that Bitcoin would go to 10k,ask yourself why they hold billions in Bitcoin.
Don't you think that they had more insight than you will ever have?
Why do you think Nasdaq crashed 1.8% 2days ago  and Bitcoin holding 27k line? Buyers still buy no matter what, that shows confidence in Bitcoin, and remember retail got no money right now.
Inflation is too high, retail salary vanished day it arrives, it not retail that buy Bitcoin now,
you wouldn't like to hear this, but the one buying assets now are the wealthy, they will likely continue the trend of the rich getting richer

During the 2017-2018 bull run, crypto experience fraud from bitconnect, onecoin etc who disappear with billions of peoples dollars.
At bull run 2020-21we also experience fraud who will subsequently take advantage of people gullibility to ruin them, Luna, 3AC, Ftx, etc.

you should know that no matter the punishment for the person behind these scandals, there will always be bad actors in the crypto ecosystem at the next bull run .
We need to be sure where we put our money, no matter how solid the project or exchange looks like, if the founders mismanage people fund,  we will be burned if we don't take the necessary measures, imagine those who believe Do kwon's Luna.

When they finish talking advantage of Bitcoin and altcoin all time high, they converted everything to ust to be able to earn free money 20%  a year on anchor protocol.
And selll their ust at a loss because they where skeptical of depeg at the beginning and believe too much in Do kwon.
After having sold there ust's they took the remaining money to put in Ftx to loose in November because they where quite gullible.

It's just like profit from a bull run and be ruin by scammer or irresponsible player in the crypto ecosystem. Don't be too believing of anyone in the crypto ecosystem, especially with your hard earned money, tred with caution.

932  Other / Meta / Re: Here is why Bitcointalk is a reliable source! on: October 07, 2023, 05:06:13 AM
I agree with the majority opinion that here you can get complete knowledge and more accurate information. Knowing how easy it is nowadays to create websites and write on them whatever the owner likes without proving his level of knowledge, trusting other sources is sometimes very problematic. I don’t trust Google Search because I consider it very corrupt and aimed only at money, but I think getting information from the forum is the correct thing to do. In addition, after spending a long time on the forum, the nicknames of many users are so familiar that trusting the posts of people you read every day is safer for me than reading information from strangers on the Internet.

I just want to express my appreciation to you for having such faith in Bitcoin. With just three hundred dollars, you manage to live on one hundred dollars and still save fifty. I don’t know how correct it is to ask what country you are from and how you manage to exist like this. In any case, I want everything to work out for you. Learn the rules for storing and using wallets, and stay strong when Bitcoin faces difficult times.
936  Other / Off-topic / Re: I Used Cracked Windows 10 Activated on: October 06, 2023, 02:10:50 PM
If you can't afford Windows KEY then find a free OS to download and use, Windows OS isn't the only one available, Linux OSs are free to use, you can do pretty much everything on Linux just like Windows OS, browse, install crypto wallets, etc and even Linux is more secured than Windows.

I’m just going to add: definitely don’t go with Linux if you’re not willing to tinker with stuff because some things have higher likeliness of breaking; especially when you’re a gamer.

You can buy legitimate CD keys on sites like eBay or somewhere else for a lot cheaper. Around $5-10 dollars if I remember correctly.

I'm not a gamer, but as far as I know, not all games can run on Linux. To do this, you need an application that all Linux lovers believe makes the system itself less secure. In general, Linux is not for games.
But if we talk about the fact that you need to “bother” with Linux, then it will take a day or two to study at least a video on YouTube. To publish on the forum and work with wallets, such knowledge of Linux is quite enough. And later, you can discover something new in these convenient systems. Cheesy
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pillow Fight League on: October 06, 2023, 10:34:17 AM
Anyone who spent time in children's camps as a child probably remembers what a pleasure it was to have pillow fights with your peers. I think this sport was invented by someone who has nostalgia for childhood.
But seriously speaking, the number of certain sports that have been given professional status is very surprising. The only good thing is that such sports will somehow distract people from gadgets, but there are also fears that all new sports will cross the line of normality.
938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 06, 2023, 10:22:05 AM
A woman who has lost all her money, who has weak nerves, and who cannot bear defeat Another thing is interesting: if she had such a reaction, what was she thinking about when she started playing? What will definitely bring her luck? Here, I agree with the OP; she is either a fool or a sick fool. Just assuming that everyone has to win completely defeats the purpose of the game, but yes, that's how it was for her. She's not ready to lose. However, men can cry too. And that's not the worst thing. It’s scary when a person bets everything on which his life depends. And then, having lost, you simply cannot console yourself with tears.
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Even Seasoned Analysts Can Get it Wrong on: October 06, 2023, 10:09:07 AM
Was there at least one predictor analyst who was able to accurately guess the price of Bitcoin in a certain period of time? Surely there were close forecasts, but it was an accident; no one gave a stable, accurate forecast. All we know is the history of Bitcoin's growth after halving, and it is not at all necessary to believe people who have gained weight in the cryptocurrency world. It is enough to study history and not to inflate sky-high prices that Bitcoin simply cannot reach because this is no longer possible. Reality and reason are the best guides, and it makes no sense to believe that this has already been predicted by someone.
