921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Education and money as the key to Bitcoin adoption. on: July 07, 2023, 12:50:42 PM
First of all its going to take some time before people could see and make any type of adoption because things do not get adopted in a single moment, it takes time before it gets adopted and that's a very normal thing. You do not see people all starting to use the same thing in a single day. Even back when money was invented, it was used in a particular part of the world, it wasn't like it was created one day and next day all the world was using it, it took centuries before everyone stopped using barter and started to use gold. Long story short we are going to need some time, and of course we are going to need technological literate people as well, older people are having a bit of a trouble about it currently. But in the future even older people will be capable of using it because we would be the old ones.
You state that widespread use of cryptocurrency will take some time. I see your point. However, I would argue that it is less about time and more about necessity, based on my own inflated sense of knowledge. Today's society embraces new technologies at a breakneck pace. You make a false comparison when you say that it took millennia for money to become widely used. Cryptocurrencies are not a new idea like money was. What we have now can be found in digital form.

I find it a terrible pill to swallow that you bring up the difficulties of the elderly. If the motivation is great enough, people of any age can change. I've witnessed seventy-year-olds learning how to use iPhones like it's nothing. If cryptos really prove to be as important as you claim, then its adoption would be inevitable across all age groups.

You are right, we should not compare the acceptance of money in the past and cryptocurrencies in the present. Cryptocurrency adoption will become faster if it really becomes important and gets government support. While cryptocurrencies are theoretically seen as the technology that will change the future of the financial industry, it is fair to say that it is only being used as a speculative tool, so the demand for it is not the spike is also understandable. Not everyone is passionate about investing, so for bitcoin to become globally popular takes much more time than we think.

I would say that at this point the advantage is with England. There are no demons in the track and it has provided almost equal amount of support for both the bowlers and the batsmen. Mark Wood was able to destroy the England batsmen because he was generating extreme pace (up to 97 mph). And England looked quite comfortable, despite losing three wickets on the first day. If they manage the first session of second day without losing any wickets, then I assume that they will have the upper hand in this test match.
It all depends on first session of today's play, as England still trail by 195 runs with 7 wickets in hand. England position in the match depends on how they conclude there first innings. To me England should get some lead in first innings but seeing the data of last two matches its very much clear that Aussie bowlers haven't allowed English batsmen to do so. England have lost three key wickets and it will be difficult for them to recover from this point onwards.
If we go by 1st day pitch behavior then today England needs to watch out for the first hour and try not to lose any wickets. Ideally, a wicketless session (which might be a tough task) would put them in a good position even if they are not accumulating runs faster.
As the ball goes soft, 2nd session would be easy to handle as we have an example of Marsh and Head's partnership.

England is facing a disaster right now. They have already lost five wickets and they have still not reached 100. That is really bad for England. The only thing which is probably a positive for them right now is that they have Ben Stokes still in the middle. Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali are currently in the middle. They have to stay in the middle and make a big partnership. Otherwise, England is in big trouble right now. I did say that it is going to be hard for England to survive in the first session. That's exactly what has been happening. Australia has the situation absolutely under control right now.

Now the score have reached 245/6 which is quite good compared to 85/4. Probably the innings of Australia could end within 300 runs. England have good chance of taking advantage of the match and lets see what happens.
Australia all out for 263 another collapse in the space of 18 runs and full credits goes to Mark Wood for cleaning up the Aussie tail end batsman and never giving them the opportunity to build partnerships. In return England lost their top 3 and Jonny Bairstow is playing a real patient innings, interesting to see how long this innings will last because defense is not their forte .
Mark Wood destroyed the tail with his high bounce and the fast. If Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh hadn't scored then the match could've been very interesting that both the team's first innings could've ended in the same day. The partnership between the two is the only score that had supported Australia team reach atleast 263 runs. I believed atleast 300+ runs will be reached as the tail order of Australia had performed well in the previous two test matches. England's top order collapse is a big problem for them.

The problem for Australia is that they were not able to perform consistently. They had 2/3 individual scores that we can talk about. But other than that they do not have much to talk about from the first innings. The latter part of the innings for Australia was absolutely a disaster. Australia is probably not going to be able to restrict England before they get a lead. Or at least that's what I thought at first. But now it feels like England is not going to be able to get a lead. England has also not started well. I am not going to be surprised in England does face something similar like Australia towards the later part of the innings. It will also be hard for England to start well on the next day.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 07, 2023, 12:07:07 AM
Even if he is worth €80 million right now, I don’t think they are actually going to let him go for only 80 million. There are at least trying to get 100 million for him. He is absolutely way too good for the team. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he does make a number like 100 million euro. I also agree that this number has become a little worthless in recent times. Thanks to the inflation for that, everything cost twice as much now. Of course, that is not a problem. The players can be worth a lot of money. But it just feels like the time is changing a little too fast.
Therefore, it looks like Eintracht Frankfurt is a very lucky club to have Kolo Muani for free from FC Nantes in the transfer window last season. But yes, with Kolo Muani's success last season, then of course Kolo Muani deserves to play at a better club for next season. Although indeed, it might also be a loss for Eintracht Frankfurt's performance next season if Kolo Muani leaves at this moment, but if Eintracht Frankfurt is willing to sell it at a high price then of course it will be a very good advantage.

After all, Kolo Muani has very good potential over time because of his young age too, so big clubs can recruit Kolo Muani for long-term progress of course. But if Kolo Muani stays at Eintracht Frankfurt maybe for one more season too, it seems like it would still be fine but of course it would be a pity if his performance declines maybe if something happens like an injury or something else.

Kolo Muani can be a great asset to the team, and that is undeniable. Of course, getting a player like that is an achievement in itself, and getting a player like that for free is unbelievable. He is also very young and he has a long way to go. Now from this situation, Frankfurt can do anything they want. They can keep him and use him as a good player and they can also sell him in the future for a lot of money. Both are going to be good decisions in my opinion. I hope there is no injury for him. At least not in a way that actually derails his career from the path it is headed on
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 06, 2023, 06:14:02 PM
It was always expected that Kolo Muani would leave, he was just way too good for a team like that and he would be able to go play at any team he wants. All the teams in the world would want him, some of them are willing to pay for him as well.
Let's see which team he picks but looks like it's a done deal that he will leave, that much is guaranteed. Inflation really showed itself on football as well, back in the day anything close to 100 million was reserved for worldstar players, like the best of the best, Ronaldo type of players. Nowadays you get to see maybe at least 50 players that worth near that amount, even if not exactly that much, close to that. Kolo Muani is one of those players, apparently worth 80 million euro right now.

A surprise: Angel Di Maria is not going to Saudi Arabia, he is going to Portugal to Benfica Lisbon. He was only in Italy for one year, but he played good football there, so I thought he would be taken by a club with a lot of money at the end of his career. He is 35 years old and at that age maybe they are done with football, or you keep playing for fun or for big money. But he has decided to return, after 16 years he goes back to Benfica, to the club where he was in younger years.
Di Maria is my favorite player, he knows where to land and takes advantage of the skills he still has
to donate to his favorite club. At 35 years old and with Di Maria's level of health, I'm sure Benfica can put his services to good use. Initially I thought Saudi Arabia's offer would tempt him and other rumors such as his visit to Messi in Miami led to a lot of speculation that Di Maria would join. But in the end, Benfica became an unexpected choice after so long wandering.

It was obviously a big emotional decision for him. Any player that decides to go back to his old club instead of going to Saudi where he could get a huge amount of money is certainly a decision that I think we all have to respect.

But at the same time if he did decide to go to Saudi a huge amount of money which could have been great for him. I think he is going to Saudi and making sure that the retirement money was going to be huge would have been there. But as I said this was certainly a very emotional decision for him. I do believe that it would have been a better decision to go to Saudi, but I do respect his decision and I understand why he decided to go to Benfica.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 06, 2023, 04:01:09 PM
I thought the Australian women's team would lose by a big margin. Because the team was losing wickets very quickly. But Ellyse Perry batted well. He was able to play an excellent innings of 51 runs in just 27 balls. However, Australia lost the match by just 3 runs. With Ellyse Perry, if one more batsman would have been able to bat responsibly, Australia might have been able to win the match. Australian women's team lost the first two matches of the series.
Even Australian men's and women's are dominating in this tour and have enough wins but in this match we have good fightback from English women's after scoring 186 runs their bowling done good job and takes few early wickets which helps them for keeping pressure on spirited Australians which fights till end and Ellyse Perry try her best to win this match but sadly not able to do this again now series is level with the score of 1 - 1, and we have final at the Lord's on 8th July which will decide who is going to win the series.
In this match England start was good which helps them for having very competitive target on board even losing wickets Danni Wyatt keep her cool and give her team chance to have very good target for to defend which helps them for win this match.

Australia tried really well but was unable to actually win. Australian women lost the match by only three runs. I honestly did not think that England women will have so much problem trying to win this match. The target was really good. The problem is Australia lost wickets at regular intervals. England has started well, but they failed to do anything once the top order got out. Australia was at least consistent. But Mooney, the opener needed to have a better strike rate.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an opportunity for the unbanked. on: July 06, 2023, 12:50:02 PM
I think bitcoin can help the unbanked only if their country accepts bitcoin and people can spend and receive bitcoin wherever they want.

Bitcoin doesn’t need a country acceptance before the user can use it since it’s a decentralized asset which means no centralized party like bank needed to make a transaction from a person to another. You can spend and receive Bitcoin anytime from other user as long as you have an internet connection.

Bitcoin is being use on early days without the acceptance of government on it. They can only regulate Bitcoin through the centralized exchange but they can’t regulate Bitcoin directly.

You don't need a bank or government permission to use bitcoin, but if you don't have a bank account and your country bans bitcoin, how will you use bitcoin? I wonder how can someone without a bank account own bitcoins, are you using banks and centralized exchanges to buy bitcoins? Bitcoin is decentralized, but our world is centralized, and the government runs everything. If they don't accept it, you will use bitcoin in fear, isn't that called freedom?

On the other hand, now Mount seems to really belong to Manchester United now with a price of 55 million + 5 million bonuses and it is rumoured that in the near future he will undergo a medical test.
According to some information that Fabrizio Romano said in his tweet, https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1675629931412193281?s=20
The medical test was carried out on Monday and indeed this is already the last step for Mount to wear the Manchester United uniform.
Mount's long-term contract and option for a season extension will allow him to stay until 2029.
The midfield for Manchester United has been filled now for the attack line which is also in the process of being rumored but in this case I will not be too satisfied if they forget about the defense which actually if you look at this season the defense has a lot of gaps.
Fabrizio said that currently Bayern and Kim have reached a verbal agreement and this means it is difficult for Manchester United to get Kim. IMO, they have to look from now on I think because seeing from the condition of the defense that is less balanced this can cause anxiety for the fans.

I personally believe that Manchester United should also concentrate on the defence as you said. They actually have problems in both attack and defense, to be honest. But attack is a bigger problem. In the last season, they were not able to actually score enough goals. The defense was not one of the best as well. But I believe as they have made the midfield a great one they should actually improve the attack first. Without a good attacking line, they are not going to be able to score enough goals. They should remember if they concede one they have to score two.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 03, 2023, 02:24:47 PM
MU was not even competing with bayern. MU was surrender caused by the fact that if min jae has not become's manchester united's priority for the transfer list this season and many news said opposite thing. MU seeks new midfielder, attacking and goal keeper.
So much news already reported that if MU has been approaching min jae while the fact that if MU never sends direct communication to him. That's why min jae is interesting in joining bayern instead of Manchester united.
I remember that so many times mu reported already in verbal agreement with min jae.
The budget has also become the reason why mu was not approaching him from napoli.
I think it's right that Min Jae chose to join Bayern Munich. He certainly has thought about it very carefully, Bavarian is the best club with a long history in Europe. Besides that, Thomas Thucel is also a consideration for him to go to the Allianz Arena.
His arrival at the Allianz Arena will certainly add strength to the defense. Min Jae is projected to be the right companion for De Ligt.
Although there have been reports that Kim Min Jae is a target for Manchester United subsequent events seem to indicate that Bayern Munich has won the race to sign the skilled defender. For Bayern Munich this prospective purchase would come at a critical moment as they look to strengthen their defence in preparation for the upcoming Bundesliga season and other significant events, such as the Champions League. Bayern Munich pursuit of Kim Min Jae shows their resolve to overcome the stability difficulties that plagued them last season and reclaim their preeminence. As the transfer process progresses it appears like Bayern Munich proactive approach has paid off as they have added a quality player to their roster who might greatly improve their backline.

This was a good decision taken by kim min jae. And I also think this is going to be a blessing in disguise for Manchester United. I believe that instead of looking for defenders, they should look for strikers at this moment. Quality strikers will actually be able to produce enough goals for them. I am not saying that Manchester United should actually ignore the problem in the defense. But I believe attack is more important at this moment for them instead of a difference.

And of course, I agree that the decision taken by Kim Min Jae was actually the right one. he went to a club which is stable. At Manchester United, it going to be hard for him to adapt to the situation. But I think it is going to be easier for him in Bayern Munich.

"Chelsea are planning to hold talks with Napoli over Victor Osimhen.
According to Football.London, the Londoners are thinking of offering at least 100 million pounds for the forward"
https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/victor-osimhen-chelsea-transfer-contract-26833032
What? Osimhen's market value is 122 Million Euros, Chelsea bid less than what's the real value of Osimhen and Chelsea is nothing compared to other big clubs. Even Chelsea bid higher rate like 150 Million Pounds, I believe Osimhen would choose to move to Real Madrid as long as Real Madrid could pay what Napoli's want or less than Chelsea's offer.
I'd say Osimhen would high likely to replace Benzema rather than Harry Kane because Tottenham's management not willing to let kane to leave.
Chelsea has already boosted their attack with the signing of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku. But Mauricio Pochettino wants to improve the attack of Chelsea by adding a natural and clinical striker. But Osimhen will not come cheap. Napoli is willing to keep the Nigerian striker if there are no good offers. After all, they need him for next season's campaign. Napoli's president has even stated that he is not willing to negotiate with any club that is offering low prices.

There is no reason for Victor Osimhen to actually go to Chelsea. It will be better for him to stay where he is instead of going to Chelsea. Because I’m going to Chelsea at this moment, certainly does not ensure a good future. If it is actually a big amount and actually more compared to the other clubs, I know that the player is not going to actually accept any offer from Chelsea. Real Madrid is actively looking for a striker. I think he should be a good option for Real Madrid. Don’t know if Real Madrid has actually approached him or not. But he will certainly be better compared to Harry Kane.

Immediately it is a new ATH I am taking profits straight up
If you planned on taking a profit at the new ATH you should have a good exit strategy to take your profit, implying this kind of strategy below would save you from taking a profit way too soon than supposed, I know how the feelings use to be when you exit the market early, and in some occasions, the market moves up like 2x from your point of exit, I suggest you should try this method while the market has not changed direction, 1st take 25%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 50%, 4th 70% and finally 100% 0f your portfolio.
When it comes to taking profits,  the saddest experience is taking the profits too soon,  I have experience this last week when bitcoin reached 27k+ I quickly took off some profits and within the next few hours,  bitcoin raised to almost 30k and there after a few days Bitcoin touched 31k+ severally and that gave me a lot of bad feelings that hard I known I should have waited a little before taking such steps in taking profits too early.

But would you be upset if bitcoin decreased after you sold it? Bitcoin's rise or fall is unpredictable, so there is no need to be sad when we decide to sell it. As long as it hits your target and makes you profitable, then why be disappointed? Greed plus regret is very easy to make you make mistakes and pay the price in investing, instead, you should have a plan and specific goals for your investment, and be grateful, then life becomes better and more comfortable. Moreover, as long as bitcoin continues to exist, opportunities will always come our way, so there is no reason to regret our decision.
933  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: July 02, 2023, 04:53:08 AM
it is true that we must be patient in dealing with situations like this, and then one day we will get what has become our patience.
we are not going anywhere, we are here to face market situations under any circumstances, and we will be together too if bitcoin goes up that's what current holders might think.

People often loss money due to their own mistakes and the blame that bitcoin is not a good investment but they don't accept the fact that their impatience become a cause of their failure.

Bitcoin will be acceptable and trusted by those individuals who get profit from it whereas those who don't understand its reality and are impatience will always says that it's not trusted currency.

Bitcoin is one of the best and trusted asset once an individuals understand the basis knowledge about it and try to wait whenever wait is necessary.

It is not wrong to say that people who lose money investing in bitcoin are their fault, not bitcoin's. Because bitcoin is just an investment asset like other assets like gold or stocks, and whether we lose or gain is entirely up to us. Those who always blame bitcoin for their losses just don't want to accept their own weakness.

But are we exaggerating bitcoin by saying it is the best and most reliable investment? If it is such a good and reliable asset, why are more people still not investing in it?  Strictly speaking, it is the most profitable asset today, and that is why many people flock to invest in bitcoin.

Neymar's top market value was 180 million euros 3 years ago. But in the last 3 years there has been an enormous level of drop in his value. As of June 27 it has dropped to 60 million euros. Of course he has got older in the meantime and he is 31 now. However this is still not a normal level of drop without doubt.
It is mostly because of being injury-prone and getting injured for really long time periods. I'm wondering if he will really be leaving PSG in the summer. There is 0 rumour about him on the recent days. I wonder if he is okay with leaving Europe as well. Considering his situation it might be the best move.
Firstly, Neymar's value hasn't dropped that much for age, his market value has dropped that much because he's been injured for most of the season. If he can perform well for the team for just one season, his market value will increase again. One of the most important things for Neymar is to save himself. He is careful not to get injured and then perform in every match.
The second thing is that it is confirmed that Neymar will not leave Europe at the moment. If any good European club offers to take him then he will tag psg otherwise he will stay with psg for one more season.
Yes, injury is an endless nightmare that Neymar feels, almost every time he is constantly injured, even though it is not a serious injury that requires him to be sidelined for a long time, even a minor injury will keep him out and unable to play. Yes, sometimes things like this become a factor where the player has to decline, even though if you look at his actual appearance he is still very good. The decline in Neymar's market value proves that it really has a big impact on his appearance. At a time like that, other clubs will also consider signing him more, because they will also think about why bring in players who sit a lot on the bench to rest.

Sometimes I think it is incredible that Neymar still has a 60 million market value because no one is going to pay so much money for a player who is going to be injured most of the season. And the way Neymar is fouled most of the time it is very easy for him to get injured. But on the other hand, it is also true that when Neymar is healthy, he can contribute to the team in a way that a lot of other players, actually most other players cannot.

In the end, Neymar is a great player even to this day. But the problem is the coach is always going to be frustrated when a player like Neymar is not going to be available because of injury at the time of an important match.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 01, 2023, 05:29:03 PM
Since glazer was only allocating around £120m for summer transfer. Ten hag must be thinking so hard to use that budget properly. As you can see that if ten hag has been spending around £55m to buy mount from chelsea. In another case, ten hag really needs to sign onana. I expect manchester united's transfer budget will remain very small if MU will be dealing to buy onana from intermilan. Unlike another club. Manchester united is now having a lot of budget for that.
Ten hag must be thinking how to allocating the fund efficiently in this transfer season. It's very bad for ten hag. MU has been rumored with so many players but it seems like that manchester united has no enough budget to buy more players.
The price of football players are so crazy these days. I just wanna see how good performance from mount and onana next season.
With the size of the budget that has been set, Manchester United can't do much, so it's back to Erik Ten Hag who must be able to maximize these funds. Because as we can see from other clubs their budget is more than that. The Glazers don't seem to be serious about fully supporting the future of Manchester United. Because it demands that Erik Ten Hag be able to take advantage of a limited budget, don't blame Erik Ten Hag if the results aren't as good as last season.
This summer transfer market is quite important and when Manchester United's budget is minimal, the addition of players will not be achieved optimally. The Glazers should have sold Manchester United to Sheikh Jassim from the start, maybe this club will get big money.

Manchester United didn’t have to be in this situation if they did not spend a lot of money on players that basically did not give anything to the team. But I think the money that Manchester United have right now he's still distant and they can manage with that type of money for now. It is going to be hard for them to continue performing well and compete against the big clubs of the English Premier League when they only have a limited budget to spend. But it is what it is. At least they got Mason Mount. Which is great news.

Zimbabwe players are now performing well in every match. But the teams they are playing against are not very strong or experienced. And so Zimbabwe is able to win very easily. All the teams that Zimbabwe will play against in the World Cup have strong squads. And the players are very experienced. So despite performing well in the World Cup Qualifiers, it cannot be said for sure that the Zimbabwe team will perform well in the World Cup as well. However, Zimbabwe's performance has improved significantly over the past few years.
The problem with Zimbabwe is that their performance is dependent on a few players such as Raza, Williams and Ervine. When these people are out of form, they fail to compete in a meaningful way against the top teams. Younger players such as Blessing Muzarabani are too volatile. I don't know how they will perform if they get in to the ODI World Cup. There is a good chance that they may win 1-2 matches out of the total of 9. But then, this maybe their last world cup. I don't think that Zimbabwe will remain competitive once their senior players retire.

I absolutely agree with @Sithara007. There are some select players in the Zimbabwe team who have to perform if Zimbabwe actually wants to win. This is obviously the qualifier of the World Cup. Zimbabwe players are going to find it easier to perform in the qualifier compared to the World Cup. That is if they are qualified for the World Cup of course. The bowling performance of Zimbabwe has not been good, to be honest. Conceding 318 against a team like Oman is obviously not a good sign for any team. Imagine how much they are going to give away when they are going to face bigger opponents.

Mostly when a big win happens like this for lower ranked players they lose a match in the next two rounds. He will be playing against Lopez that is really old but has too much experience on grass and his serve is really good so i think he might win this match against Hanfmann.
Well he has moved through the quarter final by beating Lopez and is now facing
Mannarino the 4th seed in the semi final.

Going back to his win against Tsitsipas, that was massive. Tsitsipas was by far the highest
ranked player there. It also asks questions of Tsitsipas, where is he going? personally
I think he needs a new coaching team, he needs to ditch the family input big time.

Back to the semi finals in Mallorca, Eubanks v Harris could be a close one, similarly
talented players there and the only seeded player left is Mannarino, I think they are
all of similar talent really, anything can happen.
Didnt espect such an easy win by Hanfmann but i guess Lopez is just too old. Lopez also with this loss finished his long career to bad he didnt win this tournament. Also Hanfmann will go against Mannarino that really good lately. I picked Mannarino to win so hopefully he wins it easily so that i dont have to stress a lot.

Well, the run of Hanfmann was stopped in the semifinals by Mannarino. Lopez definitely seemed to be an easy opponent for Hanfmann. As we saw that the match didn’t even go to the third set. But in the semifinals, Mannarino did not let this match go to the third set as well as he was able to close this match in the first two sets.

But I have to say in the semifinals. The first set was very competitive. After the first set, I thought this match was going to be really close. But Mannarino was able to make sure that he gets the win in the second set as well.

Where next? of course BItcoin will go to $ 50k if the price of $ 30k can hold,
therefore we have to monitor it especially especially on weekends the volatility is higher,
if indeed this is not a bull trap then good news for the crypto currency market will arrive.

Good news will always come and come, but especially today after an increase from $30K to $31K more, the price of Bitcoin also had a free fall from $31K to below $30K even though currently it is still around $30K. It's been a month full of unexpected surprises so stay reasonably optimistic as $50K is a long way to go for Bitcoin and I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

good news friends, now bitcoin has managed to penetrate $ 30k and to be more precise now the price of bitcoin is around $ 31k.
next $50k ? very likely, but not in the near future as there may be several corrections before reaching that point.
A correction also occurred today even though it was only briefly, but for $50K I think it will still be a bit difficult for Bitcoin to achieve in the near future because Bitcoin still requires greater encouragement from various parties. Especially through the media which often provides the best news so that it can stimulate a little bit of Bitcoin buyers in large quantities at the end of this month.

As far as I know, bitcoin has dropped from $31k to less than $30k due to the news of the SEC, they rejected all the ETFs and said they weren't eligible to be accepted. Many people overreacted to this news and caused bitcoin to drop rapidly, but I'm not too surprised as it is a crypto specialty. The negative news is still dominating the market, so thinking about the $50k target is actually pretty far-fetched. With the news of the SEC rejecting ETFs and Binance continuing to have problems with European countries, I think July will be another difficult month for us.

Agreed, altcoins are a gamble, and none of them are the same as bitcoin. So it is not wrong to say that cryptocurrency is another form of gambling if we are talking about altcoins. Bitcoin is not gambling, but altcoins are gambling and cryptocurrencies including bitcoin and altcoins.
People had to gamble in Bitcoin years ago and they succeeded with their bets. Years later, when Bitcoin is expensive with many people to buy 1 bitcoin, they try to find alternatives. And they have altcoins which are shilled as new Bitcoin and the Bitcoin Pizza story is used to say that altcoins will have their success and altcoin Pizza stories too.

Gambling in altcoins like Ethereum, BNB, Dogecoin brought success but if you did it in LUNA and FTT tokens, you are crying now.

I partially agree with what you said, investing in bitcoin many years ago can also be seen as a gamble because the risk then is huge. But there is a huge difference between bitcoin and altcoins that proves that bitcoin is not a gamble but altcoins.
Bitcoin was created with the sole purpose of becoming a currency, a peer-to-peer payment method, Satoshi did not create bitcoins with BTC tokens to raise capital and sell for profit. But all altcoins, including ETH, from the very beginning their purpose was created with the aim of selling tokens for profit. It can be seen that the purpose of the two is completely different, but because of our behavior, it makes both seem like real gambles.

I understand BTC can be unpreditable at times. This can pose a risk for those who usually cash out their BTC to Fiat. But that wouldn't be a reason of concern for those who use BTC as a currency regardless of its current market price.
In contrast, the volatility of bitcoin will be the biggest concern for those using bitcoin as a currency. Today you buy bitcoin for $40k, and you plan to use it to pay future bills, but tomorrow bitcoin is worth $20k, you will still use it to pay your bills? I don't believe you would be brave enough to do that, and no one dares to do it, volatility is a big deal for people who use it as a currency.

I'd say altcoins are more of gamble since they usually come and go (developers abandon the Blockchain, leaving many investors holding the bag). It's not like Bitcoin where you know it's always going to be there no matter what. You can see why governments are adopting BTC as legal tender, instead of any of the altcoins we know and love today. Maybe BTC will stablize in Fiat terms sometime in the future? Just my thoughts Grin
