921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 28, 2023, 08:40:24 AM
It all depends on how parents educate them, sometimes a child can imitate what they see and hear what is around them from their environment, if they are far from gambling it will definitely not have a bad impact on them even though the government prohibits gambling advertisements I think that too It won't help if the environment is still heavily associated with gambling.

I also often did that when I was little and that was also due to the influence of my school environment where they always asked us to bet on the football games we played and we bet on football matches between class A kids and class B kids, yes, even though it wasn't using big money but still gambling can be affected by the environment as well and it will continue to be embedded into adulthood.

You mean teachers were encouraging kids to gamble? OMG. I can't believe it's possible anywhere. Those teachers should be fired, in my opinion.

~

It's easier than said. Even if you teach or lecture your children, you can't stop them from exploring things, and gambling is one of them. Parents can't monitor their child's activity 24/7, so they will never know if their child is gambling. In short, the person itself explores things like gambling by nature. The most possible solution for children not to do gambling is to abolish gambling itself, which we know is impossible, so what will we do? Maybe more censorship, especially on social media and television, or on all platforms that children can access. I personally do gambling, and I don't want to go to the point wherein my country will prohibit the gambling, whether online or physically. So it's up to the parents on how they will guide their children; it's their responsibility. If a parent itself does gambling and you let your children witness it, then you as a parent are irresponsible.

You are right. Well, not in my case. No one told me not to gamble when I was a kid, so, I didn't even know it was a bad thing to do. And I gambled once; three of us, 10-year-old kids chipped in on one lottery ticket, and we actually won like 10 times of the ticket price, but I'd never gambled since then until I was like 30. But maybe if I knew it was something forbidden for kids to do, I'd gamble more, idk. Smiley
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 28, 2023, 08:13:03 AM
~
Yes, there should be no distinction between the two because regardless of gender, gambling is free to be played by anyone, both men and women, except for minors. As time goes by and technology becomes more sophisticated, we all probably know that there are quite a lot of female gamblers as far back as I see that in the area where I live, almost a few of them are playing online gambling with their cellphones.

Most female gamblers play slot games as many people play these days, why are there currently so many female online gamblers because of the ease of accessing gambling sites and there is no longer any unpleasant treatment for female gamblers if they play at offline casinos, currently Online casinos provide that convenience and tend to have a lot of female gamblers playing too.

I hope, it is like this in most land-based casinos, but, unfortunately, I'm sure there are places where women's gambling is frown upon and maybe there are still countries where women are not allowed into a casino. It doesn't matter that most women don't even want to gamble in those places in the first place. Those who want should be allowed to do so.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: October 28, 2023, 07:28:52 AM
~
Yes, life is also gambling, but it's not like the games we often play. In the gambling that we often play, there is a problem of losing money and winning money, but we experience more losses and lose money than we get money. And if someone already has a family, he should prioritize his family more than gambling because earning money from his job can fulfill his living needs. That is why if someone wants to gamble, he must be able to avoid gambling addiction because this has become a serious problem for many gamblers so he must really think about this. However, he also has the option not to gamble so he doesn't have to think about his losses and focus on meeting his family's daily needs.

Sometimes people who think they avoid it, fail to do so. What's important in a moment like that is not give up. No one should think, oh, I'm addicted gambler now, I can do nothing about it. You can, you always can. You can try to get rid of it by yourself, but if it's impossible, you can seek professional help. It works.

~
~ Stop focusing and allow yourself to quit away by finding things that may allow you to find enjoyment and entertainment.

People should know one simple thing: being addicted to gambling will never bring you happiness. Even if you win big, with mindset of an addicted gambler you will not stop until you lose everything while trying to win even more.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: October 28, 2023, 07:01:33 AM
~

If their rituals can be done in silent like on their own mind, for sure it would be allowed, cause for sure every gambler has done the same thing, having their own ritual. For example, whenever we do something like twitching our fingers and wishing we win in our mind, then we suddenly have a win streak, things like that. Cause if there's ritual like you'll to chant it and speak it, in an actual casino, I think that wouldn't be allowed in terms and regulations for not disturbing anyone in the establishment. But let's respect other's beliefs and rituals, like what you have mentioned, because it would be a dumb thing to do if you do such many process just to win in slots and roulette.

Not everyone does that, I can assure you. I myself believe that no ritual can help you win in slots, but I do respect those who thinks otherwise. If it makes experience  better somehow, who am I to be against it?

~
The happiness and enjoyment they have after they win and think it was because of what they did is obviously worth watching. Still, it's true that a lot of people are not really interested in seeing such things happening around them when they are gambling, some may even join the fun if they have jolly natures and are always smiling and happy when they see others happy, however, that's not the case with everyone because most people are usually short-tempered when they are losing in gambling.

That's why, in land-based casinos, the management would probably have some rules that one cannot go against in order to stay within the establishment, and people with weird beliefs and superstitions might face problems in such a place as the management will probably not let them do something that might disturb others around them.

As I said, no way disturbing other players should be allowed. But if there were a room with a sign "Any rituals allowed here", I would probably visit it once in a while. Smiley

It's 4 times less probable to roll 10000 than 9999, so, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't appear for like next 20 years, but I know that it can happen today too. Smiley
I still remember the heart stopping moment of when I rolled 10000 one fine morning 16th of October 2016 and was staring at my device for a few minutes and pinching myself that it was not a dream.

Before this there was a huge distrust among the community that 10k for 200$ prize was actually never possible and my post was criticized a lot too but I tried my best to clear the distrust and wetsuit created the giveaway of the ones who report 20-200$ wins would get 5$ rewards on their account from then on.

Here is the link to my thread where I declared my big win: Got 200$ from Freebitcoin today morning, call that a BIG WIN

I still roll whenever I have time hoping to see another one soon Smiley

Oh and I noticed we just hit page number LEET, noice!

Wow! I'm surprised I didn't know it! You actually rolled rolled 10000, Ultra? That's amazing! Won $200 in October 2016. How much is it now? More than $10k? Congrats, my friend! FreeBitco.in is an amazing place where things like this can happen. I'm waiting for my 10000. I'll roll it soon, I can feel it. Smiley

927  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: October 25, 2023, 09:28:12 AM
Today in some other thread a guy mentioned Return of the Green Knight by Play'n GO. I've never heard of this slot before, but, well, there are many thousands of them online slots in the world, I couldn't hear of all of them, could I? And I'm not in the habit of playing a slot once it was mentioned by someone. But this particular slot

attracted me right away when I googled it. Maybe it's because of those beautiful colours. I love green. Smiley

So I went to Bitcasino, and, sure enough, it was there:

So I started playing it. I liked that it was possible to bet with just 10 cents, of course:

And I liked that I hit 3 of them Green Knights pretty soon:

With which I won 5 free spins:

And with a couple of nice events like these

within those 5 free spins, I've actually won €16.64:

166x of my bet. It appears, the combination of a green colour slot and Bitcasino is a lucky combination, innit? Smiley
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: October 25, 2023, 07:29:53 AM
nice betwrong
I thought so

you can probably still use LLMs/AIs powered with something like Wolfram and data models to check past statistics and create a working model that is profitable over the long run
I have no idea on how to do it but I could see this happening.

Interesting. I have no idea about that too. Maybe someone here can explain it to us? Or maybe run some experiments and show us the results. I personally think that it's not about AI's inability to pick the right data. It's about AI's refusal to do so, for some reason. But maybe I'm wrong here. Maybe it's possible create a working model. Interesting.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: October 25, 2023, 06:42:14 AM
That is the reason most people play slots to win those huge multipliers although x1111 is not a really huge one,I am sure those 2 guys have won a lot more as I have seen their multipliers in the Slot 101 thread here  Grin. If the slots offered not such huge multipliers no one would play them eventually while they still are the most played games in all the casinos nowadays.

Some people would play still, I think, even if the highest multiplier was like 100x, but in general you are right, most people would abandon slots. It's potential multipliers like 100,000x and 150,000x is what attracts them. Today I've found out that one of my favourite slots, Tombstone R.I.P. by Nolimit City has the maximum prize of 300,000x. I used to play it not because I was winning on it a lot, my wins and losses were more or less balancing each other out, but because I loved the animation. From now on I'll be expecting that 300,000x of my bet too. Smiley

Nice hits.

Over 1,000x is a good milestone on Pragmatic Provider, even my self only can reach under 500x cannot reached that number with more than 4-6 month. Just really hard to get that number meanwhile other really easy.

You love following the challange or contest, good luck for the prize.

Thank you! I did finish in thwe top 20:

And I received additional $50 to my already big win,

because I'm Level two verified on Stake.

How do you think Stake ranks compared to other casinos in the market? More and more casinos are accepting cryptocurrencies.

Stake ranks quite high, to tell the truth. If you read an article about crypto gambling in one of the major sources of information, Stake is mentioned almost always.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: October 24, 2023, 06:38:48 AM
I think, I'm one of those more than 90% of gamblers, who just play for fun and have no problems with it whatsoever. As for the gambling addicts, like you, I also hope our advises help some of them. The main advice I would give: don't even try to make gambling your major income.
Thank you for the advice. Yes, that is the main advice we must always remember when gambling. Only use the money you can afford when gambling is another advice we should always remember. This made me remember an incident that happened to a close friend who gambled excessively, causing him to lose a lot. Fortunately, he understood his mistake and decided to reduce his gambling.

Good for him. It's a rare case when someone can cope with his gambling addiction without a professional help.

~
I thought the same. But several tournaments with high skilled players made me to think one more time.
In poker you are playing against over gamblers and it is much more difficult than sport betting. You results depends on luck, over players skills, your skills, your well-being, etc. As the results you can`t only win. With money management it is possible to get some income, but it don`t looks stable. In the sport betting it is easier, but you have to work really hard to get stable and nice income. May be i had to spend more time practicing, but i don`t sure in the result.

That's true that in poker your result depends on all those things, your well-being included. With purely luck-based games like slots it's not the same. You can feel horribly and still win big. In any case, you should never treat gambling as a major income.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: October 24, 2023, 05:52:03 AM
~ When I win $60 I just spend it without thinking too much, but winning $600k is when you have to think.

I also think that things for Bitcoin can rise to that price more or less, around 2024, of course the Halving will do its part and it is a good opportunity for things to happen, so in this order of ideas we can intuit that, of course $150k then it could be that things could happen, I have always thought that this could happen, for me things with Bitcoin can be very Valuable , there is also the possibility that this year in December it could go up, I think that if they continue Thus , the Movements can reach a good price, it can even reach almost $70k, of course the fundamentals are the ones that can basically change any scenario for the market, I am a big believer in Bitcoin, and it may be that this volatility plays in this favor. Maybe, because the price is Rising and is maintaining itself, it is good for me, because it means that things are on the right track, now in the case as you say, $600k is the best that can be done, or well What I would do would be to invest a good part in Bitcoin, because I know that it will rise to more than $100k, it is something that is Known, but when I don't know, but it will happen.

I agree with you, mate. If someone wins $600k, a good part of it should be invested in Bitcoin. Now, when the price is rising, it becomes more obvious.

So because we are in a society where no one tells you what to do with that money, it is likely that things will not turn out as they would, but having a large profit of $600k is to not go crazy, because as they say, money It ends, and after it ends, how are you going to continue living a life like this? If you were already used to having a high level where you only used the money to spend and spend, it is impossible,

Idk, I think it's totally normal to spend money on whatever you want when you've won big. You shouldn't worry about how to keep living on this level later. Maybe you won't be able to carry on on that high level, but you'll have your good time at leas for a couple of weeks, and in my opinion that's more than enough.

that is why good investment is what always has to be considered, for that reason when we are doing worse, you cannot spend , you have to do many things for investment, to consider buying gold, good roots, but I believe more in bitcoin and technology, because I know that the world will not remain stagnant economically, it will be focused on the new .

I agree with this absolutely.

936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 24, 2023, 04:01:23 AM
So, Bard AI has helped me to earn 3 points in the latest Matchday:

It's not like Bard predicted the correct score. Bard predicted a 3-1 win for Bayern Munich in the FC Bayern Munich vs SC Freiburg, but since it said: "but it could be a close match", I predicted 4-1 and was right about the Goal Difference and therefore earned 3 points. I'm happy with the result, to be honest. Probably will be using Bard more for my future predictions. (I hope it's not against the rules).

I am totally sure that Bard won't give you an edge. It is as much rolling the dice as everyone else is who has a good grasp of the teams and the league. At best, I would say. I think knowing a league and knowing some of the minor details of every team already gives you an edge over the AI. This might change in the future, but not for now.

Next season we could add some accounts and operate them with AI and see what the results are at the end of the season. Could be worth a little experiment although I am quite sure what the outcome will be.

You are correct, it's this point Brad is pretty much useless for predicting the outcomes of the games. Bard is almost always predicts  2-1 in favour of the strongest team. It predicted 3-1 win for Bayern Munich in the FC Bayern Munich vs SC Freiburg, but it only happened once, and Bard wasn't correct in that case anyway. Maybe it's my prompt, but something makes it impossible to use Bard for making correct predictions. I will try with some other promts, though, but my hopes are not high.

I think it is because AI-systems don't have an information advantage and they probably also have issues with sources spreading false information. These AI-systems are also probabilistic, which means that any smallest deviation from the seemingly most likely outcome would make them be a bad system.

Probably this is the case. What I found strange was that even if I was telling Bard "This player isn't playing in that match. Please take that into account and now tell me what are the most probable All-time Goalscorers", Bard was, nevertheless, listing that player among them again? I see it as some kind of a temporary glitch. But at this point, Bard is impossible to use and ChatGPT doesn't know anything about present or future.

This table is outdated, but I still think it provides a decent overview of the total score distribution across several leagues. Interestingly though, the most common result is a 1-1 draw. But if AI then gathers some data and understands that there is a favorite and an underdog, it will just go with the 2-1 most of the time because it is the second most likely result for the years presented in that table.

I think it is still very far from gathering real-time data and then include it in the outputs. For example, what would a trained AS-system do if it learns that Kane and Sané will miss a game on short notice? It would be interesting if it corrects the total score one goal down or something like that. But all these are averages and really, I don't see the day coming when AI gets a 5-0 Stuttgart vs. Freiburg prediction right Tongue

Thank you for the link! I find that info very helpful.

I think you are right. AI will never predict something like 5-0.

~ By a "decent bankroll" you mean art-savvy friends and relatives? Smiley I have those, but unfortunately failed to convince to take part. It's because it would take time, but they don't trust crypto currecies. I promised them 70% of the win, but firstly the win is uncertain and secondly they don't believe they will get anything even in the case of the win. Indeed, I can't guarantee them that their art-work will finish in the money. So, I'm doing it by myself. Smiley
I mean you can do it yourself, it is not "that" hard, it all just about wanting it. I am not saying that you can start today and end up winning next month, it may take some time but it has been going on for a long time, it's been years right? That means if you started when this started then you could have reached a point where you are a decent level designer at least, and could have drawn something that makes sense.

I believe that it is going to be something that would be hard for people to end up with having easier options, my only trouble is mr.roo and most of the time that is required in the images and if that character wasn't needed then I would have been easily getting a return and it would have been fine, but since I do not have that character in my assets, I would have to make him from scratch and I can't do that, it is a complicated character for me to be able to create from nothing, so I try to avoid it, that's beyond my expertise, but if anyone wants to start, now seems like a good time.

Indeed! It has been here for years. Big thanks to Roobet for this and other contests on this forum, btw. They have put a lot of their money in the various prize pools.

I myself suck at drawing, painting and craft art. My only hope is that the jury will find my works funny somehow, and that's why I keep participating. Smiley
