941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: September 13, 2015, 09:43:53 PM

I like the idea because I'm a developer. Devs need money, miners need money. Why not go 50/50 split?

It's fine that devs need money. However, at this moment premine is >90%.

I actually have no idea how much the premine is. I doubt it's 90%.

942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: September 13, 2015, 09:31:42 PM

Where is everyone downloaded "ethminer.exe" from?

943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: September 13, 2015, 09:30:57 PM

One thing ive learned after 5 years in cryptoland is the amount of ego floating around here is staggering. Alot of people in this community see competition as opposition, as its us vs them. Competition is a good thing, its healthy, its what makes people release good products and good product support. However, opposition is the catalyst for FUD slinging sock puppets. Its the precursor to bent egos. The fact is, we can all co-exist and help each other be better. Thats going to happen regardless so why waste the time to create a new fud slinger when they could be using that time to work on the betterment of their own projects...? I think thats a mystery that will never be solved.

If it's the way you wanna explain this crazy premine - you do it wrong.

They explained it already. Summarized version is:

Devs need money. Miners don't get 100% of this coins.

I like the idea because I'm a developer. Devs need money, miners need money. Why not go 50/50 split?

944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: September 13, 2015, 09:05:03 PM

does CPU mining make sense with EXP?

If you only own a CPU then it of course makes sense.

OCminer released the MPOS open source Ethereum mining pool code. Where are all the pools? Remember back in the day when there was like 10 pools before launch set up... and then remember when half of them were scams and stole your coins. LOL

AMAZING! Is there a windows 10 64-bit miner available for dagger-hashimoto algorithm yet?

Much more interesting then the other scam eth fork coin out some weeks ago with big premine.

And there is also a legit dev here.

Pity this premine is 44x larger than Shifts.

What % did these devs determine they will premine? I'm fine giving devs some premine. There is no ICO so they will not be paid for this project except for in EXP. You have to look at % of premine, not # of coins premined.

100k reserve for the team and for initial bounties at launch, then 1 million slowly over one years time for the team with smart contracts. This means only 100k at launch available for the team.

10 million for the community DAO released slowly over time. This is not for the team, but for whatever the community votes on using the DAO, future development, bounties for DAPPs and so on.

This will only have value if we develop and bring value to it, so this actually means this there is likely some stability here over the long run, and potentially increasing value with more development over time. We can't release everything at once, but there is more to come and we feel this project will have value over time and last.

This sounds amazing. I will be making DApps. I hope to be able to claim some of those EXP.

This may also lead me to hiring full time software developers! This would be just so cool. Hiring developers. Managing them. Making money by releasing open source DApps.

So we should win "Weekly User Votes", right? It is not easy.

Not sure how easy or easy it isn't. I think if everyone pitched in we can do it.

next round of voting starts in about 14 hrs   ...

Lets make sure we get on it.  Can someone explain DOT votes ? are those the paid ones ?

5 million votes gets us in automatically  Cheesy

If you want to buy DOTs it looks like you could buy enough to get listed for like... maybe 0.2 BTC.  It looks like a DOT winner and vote winner gets added.

WHo knows if the other coins will vote with DOTs right at the end though making the attempt a waste.

Do not create a war between SHF and EXP

It will just make both look bad.

Promote these first two coins as the best Ethereum clones.

The most likely scenario is both go up, or both go down. It's highly unlikely that 1 will do substantially better based on people putting down the other coins. Do not make this a competition. Anyone who has cloned ethereum already clearly has skills.

I would like to see the scenario where everyone is positive and both ethereum clones becomes really big.

If you MUST troll on a coin, go troll on Ethereum. They are the ones who ran a shady ICO, took salaries and then also premined ETH.

Good time to buy some cheap marijuana niche coins.

420 will be back again next year!

I will try to remember to vote every day.

So whats with this new "grow"? What does that mean.

954  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating Trading Card Games with the Blockchain on: September 13, 2015, 07:14:20 PM
Rigth after listing on Poloniex, BCY increased by about 400% and then went back down to stabilize at a current price of around 9000 to 10,000 satoshis per BCY which is just about the same level or above what crowdsale participants paid for their BCY. Of course some traders took advantage of the initial rise and were able to make profits, as with any coin. Some people were prevented from trading when the price was higher because Poloniex had some internal problems with crediting the deposits and did not release the coins people had deposited until more than 24 hours later. So if you (@fartbags) want to blame anyone for the fact that only a few people could realize great profits in early trading, that blame should go to Poloniex for not resolving their deposit problems in a swift manner.

Also people should keep in mind that crowdsale participants received other rewards in form of rare trading cards on top of their bitcrystals distribution, depending on how much they bought. So actually they got much more value than what their Bitcrystals are worth right now on the exchanges. BitCrystals are tradeable assets acting as both the game-fuel and the premium in-game currency of Spells of Genesis. They can be used to enhance your gaming experience (like buying card packs) and traded with other players. And EverdreamSoft also needs to buy back BitCrystals and burn them in order to issue new card packs, which will reduce the total supply of BCY available.

Poloniex had nothing to do with this price rise and dump. It was BCY who didn't give out all of the XCP tokens at the same time. Who ran this token sale for BCY? I believe it was Koinify? Koinify has run 3 over priced token sales so far and had to change their name because they suck.

The cards are actually pretty cool. It was the reason I was thinking of buying into this token sale. I wanted the cards.

My problem with the cards is they were an early buyer reward. Instead of the cards being fairly distributed to the public through a cheap card pack random card style, they were given to investors. For me that takes out all of the fun of this. It made this game more of an exclusive club. I see this impacting new user growth. Without new user growth this game and the cards are worthless.

Games = fair, otherwise no one new will want to join.

I almost get the feeling it's impossible for this game to become popular because it's impossible for a new poor user to win.

I don't really know much about the game though. I'm not involved and I only saw a demo from a long time ago before the crowdsale.

OMG I'm so dumb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Las Vegas and didn't clean up all of GEO on the strip!

956  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating Trading Card Games with the Blockchain on: September 12, 2015, 10:11:01 PM

OUCH... price drops 90% after crowd sale users get their tokens. Lucky 4 those people who got their BCY early. They could sell some of it at a nice profit and move on to the next project or even buy back into BCY and get 5x as many coins.

957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MapCoin MAPC - using Foursquare/GoogleMaps to share coins,BTC/LTC/DOGE trading! on: September 11, 2015, 10:03:52 PM

Does this coin even have a video demo of the app in action>?

958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MapCoin MAPC - using Foursquare/GoogleMaps to share coins,BTC/LTC/DOGE trading! on: September 11, 2015, 09:58:54 PM

Once you get 1 good coin the clones follow with their self-bought ICOs...

Yeah all this people are trying to get cach of MAPC.
We are talking to Bittrex right now about rules of getting into their exchange.

Thanx for kind words, and remember about our burning game!

I have no interest in getting MAPC. It's easy to get listed on DELISTREX. You just pay them 3 BTC and boom you're on the exchange. Any scam can get on BITTREX. They then DELIST the coin a month later. Bittrex is the absolute worst place to buy coins.

I would almost go as far as saying c-cex is less of a scam than bittrex LOL... maybe not.

Anyways, I thought this was a map coin not a burning coin.

Bittrex is thinking about preventing scam coins, so MAPC with such a huge premine probably won't be listed. But then again I'm not sure if bittrex cares or not. They usually just list any old shit coin for a 3 BTC fee..

More likely... BITTREX is thinking of raising their sell a scam fee to 10 BTC.

959  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating Trading Card Games with the Blockchain on: September 11, 2015, 09:55:31 PM
Hi everyone !

Oh I see this topic start to be emotional Smiley
Please don't panic we are processing things manually we need to handle with care because every user has particular and specific rewards. With the different cards and such. Just as a reminder its stated on the website :

Quote
When will token sale contributors receive BitCrystals?

BitCrystals will be distributed within two weeks after the end of the token sale. It may happen within a few days or it may take longer, depending on the amount of contributors. We will do our best to deliver as soon as feasibly possible.

And this is what we are doing. The distribution will be done by the end of the week don't worry.
If in any case you didn't received your fund this saturday please send us a note and we will be happy to help sort things out.

On twitter we stated

Quote
all partner level #bitcrystal #satoshi card and blocksize distributed. Player level distribution ongoing trough the week.
[/b]

So this mean the distribution is still ongoing for player level since there is more player level than partner level and we are taking care of each backer one by one giving them their personal rewards.

so it's distributing not distributed... what a joke

If they were to give everyone their BCY then you could all sell them on the exchange if there is any profits.

The initial scammers who are involved in the hidden premine have to sell their premined coins before you guys.
This way they can cash out and move onto the next project. Things move fast. Scammers need to get their money out fast so they don't miss getting in early on the next scam.
