It has been a really poor performance by Juventus so far. I'm even surprised with how they are still not behind Inter by playing poorly. I didn't expect to see them like this after that big start to the season. I thought we started to have the old Juventus back but they are playing really badly against Inter now. They were much better in the first half.
But Juventus don't have even a single goal attempt in the whole second half while we are in the final moments of the game. There are goals by Vlahovic and Martinez and it is still 1-1. It was important for Vlahovic to make progress in one of the most important games of the season for Juventus. Because there has been a serious level of drop in his performance recently.
Juventus were very careful in carrying out attacks which they might have been able to do, after winning the lead and then Inter immediately replying, the Old Lady started to lower the tempo. I don’t know why Moises Caicedo was benched but a player like Caicedo should not be left on the bench if he is not injured because we can all see the difference in their midfield compared to other matches he started.
I can’t say for sure but I can still recall hearing over the commentary that, he happens to be the last returning player from the international break on the Chelsea team. That could mean, not having to be properly filled in on the team tactics and perhaps, leaving him on the bench was by some means to discipline the player. On top of that and recent performance for Caicedo I wouldn’t say he was just too great or his coming off the bench could have been part of what resulted to this defeat. I can still recall his first game where his mistake caused Chelsea a goal, a few games after that where he struggled and even games where he had to be on the starting lineup and Chelsea still gets to struggle. Chelsea is a team that lacks consistency on their side and while they still try to fine a rhythm for there team, you can expect whichever opposition to capitalize on that, cause them to make a mistake and use that to punish the team. There were just lots of mistakes from them today and each of them was punished. In this instance, the lack of consistency is likely caused by the younger team, which management does not seem to understand. I was surprised with Chelsea's performance today i was expecting something better from them against Newcastle but it was a disappointment as usual, watching how they play against Manchester City everybody's spirit was high just watching the way they play, now this Chelsea fans left in disgust and are disappointed. Chelsea has recently show that they have improved a little in their game style and are most likely good to face almost any team they may be encountering in the premier league, especially the draw against one of the toughest team this season must have taken their confidence high up enough.
They seem to show more strength playing against bigger teams than they will do against smaller team, they have succeeded in getting some points from every big team they meet this season, with Tottenham they got three points and with Manchester city they got one so with Newcastle it's very possible they will get a point because they have got their morale high up and their confidence is really good .
I don't want t start giving Chelsea the accolades yet because for cry out loud, they she have performed well from the beginning since they have all it takes as a professional team to deliver on their mandates but have failed perpetually at some point in the season which was responsible for their drop in the table. Everything needs process and you can't expect the young players to be adapted easily to the club. Some players have their own timespan to adapt into the situation in the club and this is the fact. Chelsea is not yet good but it's start to improving and im praising how chelsea has slowly delivered it. The chelsea players were giving lots of contribution in the national competition too. In my opinion, they should not have dropped from the beginning because they posses all the possibilities and capabilities to fiercely battle for the top table of the league. I don't want to be too sure yet but I see the possibility of Newcastle winning that match over Chelsea although Chelsea have the luxury of making their decision now, whether to win or to lose.
Chelsea was just missing lots of opportunities to gain the full points during the easiest schedule received by the club at early season. This is the main mistake that makes chelsea was at the bottom at this time. The club can perform better now but chelsea has missed lots of opportunities to enter into the top 5 at least. |
