Thank you @JackTatar! I remember certain members of the financial world laughing when Jack use bitcoin and retirement in the same sentence. He may have the last laugh...  Wink

That was an excellent article! Dating all the way back to 2016. We have great content by some amazing people, it surprises me how DCEBrief content continues to circulate well after it was published.

Gee.. I've been preaching this since 2013...  Grin  Oh well, back to mining DNotes!

I know you have, RJF. This is a generational opportunity, especially for those who struggle to make ends meet, with little left for savings that could make a difference. It is my personal wish, and I trust that it is also  that of our team members, so even a little savings in DNotes on a regular basis could amount to something of significance over the long-term.

Ha, Ha! You need to hurry. There aren't that many more days left to mine DNotes. DNotes 2.0 is a switch from POW to POS.

Alan,

Do you have a projected release date?

The best guidance I can give at this time is the week of September 25, 2017. Once the date is fixed, we will announce it here. I am very anxious and excited. DNotes 2.0 is truly designed for everyone irrespective of technical knowledge or financial standing. It is for the corporate world and all consumers. That has always been our vision and it will continue to be reflected in everything we do.

Got it, thank you!

943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: August 24, 2017, 09:02:08 PM
I agree that looking at 21/84 = 0.25 is too simplistic and is not likely.

Why? If it's just as good, and in many respects better, why not AT LEAST 1/4?

Actually, I would argue that eventually it'll be worth more than 1/4.

Agreed. Just because it doesn't have fancy features that are not needed for a true crypto currency, we should not assume it isn't worth as much as the current leaders. For fast, real transactions at point of sale and online for purchase, LTC is the boss.

any ETA when the new Ecc wallet will be released? Thanks in advance!
The coding takes time and dev only works during the weekend. Dev is going to work fulltime on ECC in September. I don't know ETA can be 1-2 days or in September. I know he certainly is doing his best and will deliver when it's all been tested with good results.

Not many Alts have a full time Dev... this is really good news for ECC.

They usually have a team... you know

Actually, most ALT coins are a one man show or, no Dev at all. Most "team" projects result from ICO's and the top 100 list. Remember, there are over 800 ALT coins...

948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: August 24, 2017, 02:06:53 PM
I have more than 10 kmd on bittrex. Can i also claim ?

The KMD has to be in a wallet you control, that is, a local wallet like Agama...

so when i move them to a wallet i can claim them ?

After your KMD are in your wallet, on your computer, they will be counted in the snapshot and and you will receive JUMBLR at the appropriate time as long as you move your KMD prior to the snapshot. Read back for the date.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: August 24, 2017, 01:04:44 PM
hi all,  I only recently came across cloak and became interested in it because of its privacy features.  I want to invest in it because of this.

In doing some research, I came across this rich list: https://explorer.cloakcoin.com/richlist

This is usually a sign that the transactions on the coin are not kept private.

Can anyone comment on this and explain how this is possible?

Thanks!

Nothing to do with privacy. Just because you have wallet addresses and current balance doesn't mean you can connect them to any particular user.

Your challenge: Find my wallet on that list and tell me where I sent the last transaction and for how much.

952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - ICO successfully finished! on: August 23, 2017, 05:32:42 PM
i also doubt x100 lol .. but i think the project will be a success regarding the time they are taking and the updates they give

if theybrelease the coin with all the features all ready i guess its no surprise if it will rocket up the moment it gets released. and probably the reason more are interested to buy exscudo account with bounties. if its going to be listed on exchangss like bittrex and binance, price will be high.

To be frank, I don't see big exchanges listing EON tokens, it is like helping your direct competitor. I will definitely be happy to see the token on big exchange like Bittrex but I don't see that happening now

I would agree. Exscudo will have to grow organically. That's why they will need a strong community support. I wonder why Exscudo doesn't use telegram. It's a great tool to build great community.

Exscudo will be listed on the usual exchanges. There are coins and projects already listed that are in competition with traditional exchanges. Exchanges make money off trading, doesn't matter what the coin is used for as long as it is popular and trades well.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: August 20, 2017, 02:21:08 AM
The new wallet has been tested, but there were problems that came up in the testing phase. Now they´re fixing them and will test once again when that is done.

When everything is fixed and ready, it will be released to the public. You wouldn´t want a broken wallet now, would you?

Do you still understand that they are deceiving you for 3 months

No, they are not. Join the slack so you can post facts not bullshit...

955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: August 17, 2017, 09:24:13 PM
Indeed, moving right a long with DNotes 2.0. Before long we will need to run extensive live testing, and looking for people to get involved in the testing. Anyone who may be interested, please reply here or send us an email, contact@dnotescoin.com.

Happy to help however you might need.

Thanks MiningHabit!

We will be seeking out additional code testers starting now and offering a DNotes bounty for reviewing parts of the DNotes 2.0 code. If anyone has experience or would like to make any suggestions for people in our industry to seek out.

Refer to my post about Syscoin. I know in some ways they are the competition but, they are honest and would make a great partner if that appeals to any of you. Just a thought...
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: August 17, 2017, 09:22:35 PM
Thanks for posting this article here.

Our team have all been active in the crypto industry for ~4 years, and in the case of Joe, a little more. DNotes itself is about 3.5 years old, launched in Feb 2014. In that time we have taken a vastly different approach to most other cryptocurrency projects. As a part of planning our strategic road map, we have looked into the work those around us are doing. There is a lot of talent in the cryptocurrency industry, bu many here will be aware that 95% of the projects that are launching won't ever release a viable product (like nearly any ICO). Part of keeping up with the happenings in the cryptospace has been researching what other people are doing, and this has led to us believing that building relationships with other trustworthy and competent groups in the industry will also be great for DNotes, and there is even potential that we may work with other groups that we build these relationships with in the future.

Syscoin have a long-term approach similar to DNotes - their product fills a key function, they don't create false hype, they have a company and verifiable faces behind their product, a loyal following, and competent development team. This made them great for the first coin analysis article. I will be writing more of these coin appraisals over the next few weeks while I continue to work on the DNotes 2.0 whitepaper, and I'm more than willing to give fair appraisal to worthwhile and trustworthy projects that others in this forum recommend. I don't hold any other crypto than DNotes, which basically means I have no conflict of interest anywhere I look. So feel free to send me by private message your suggestions (with reasons why)!

Good article, great series! As with DNotes, I have held Syscoin almost since the first coins appeared in the blockchain. As you say, they are very professional and honest. They don't promise things they can't deliver and the value of their projects raises almost daily. It would be interesting if DNotes and Syscoin explored ways to work together since they do compliment each other. That would be a cool relationship, a real "win/win"
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEW USDE- Unitary Status Dollar Ecoin - Safe, Secure, Simple on: August 17, 2017, 09:08:52 PM

...

This coin was last listed I think one year ago on a small exchange, alcurex if I remember. In the past we were listed on Poloniex.

Currently we are looking at yobit and novaexchange. We have been in contact with Richie Lai from Bittrex on Link and we're gonna contact Poloniex. But first we must show some stability on the first exchange that we will be.

Regarding the swap it's premature to talk about it until we can have an overall image of the wallets. Everybody will be able to watch this activity once we are listed.

If more than 20% of the wallets will be offline (with more than 1 year) inactivity we will start to think of a swap.

Nova or CoinEx for sure. Bittrex will want volume, which needs to build up first.

What about coinexchange.io. Did you tried to list there?

YoBit is a scam. Everyone knows it.

We have re-started this project with our own time and money. We believe in this coin and in the community. In order to grow we will need support from all of you. We have contacted all exchanges. Many of them require btc in order to be listed.

Yobit 0.1 BTC
Nova 0.1 - to be added on the voting list or 1 BTC direct listing
Coinexchange - 0.5 btc
C-cex - around 2 BTC
Cryptopia - 1.4 BTC
Poloniex - In order to be listed again, one of our team members will need to start verification procedure for all levels. Poloniex still holds one big wallet
Bittrex - We have sent messages to Richie Lai in Link , but they won't list us until we upgrade the algo. This will be done in the next weeks.

We prefer taking it step by step, one exchange after another. We rather invest money in good devs and content creators rather then be direct listed on one of those exchanges.

We can't force people to buy or to sell no matter what exchange will add USDE. We can only do all that we can to make it bigger and to achieve our plans that have been posted here and on our website

Thanks

Great to see USDe alive again! Been holding the coin for years, basically lost hope but not my wallet!  Grin  Rock on!

960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: August 17, 2017, 06:20:34 PM
over the years I have found that a lot of people assume testing means done when it comes to programming just because we usually think of testing as the final stage before release. which it is, but that is only true if testing goes well. otherwise it loops us back around to the development stages

Look at the example of Thomas Edison, regarding to light bulb... He knew he were close, so tested quite a lot, till get the result he needed.

Now imagine he had a lot of people behind him, saying all the time: "C'mon, man! Is it ready? Release it!"

- I know we will get there. It's just a matter of time.  Grin
