After PND becomes PoS, can we still mine it directly using GPU?

VTC is the most well known Scrypt-N coin. I mined VTC quite a lot before I knew X11 and other Scrypt-N coins.
It is still the most mined Scrypt-N and X11 coins by GPU. The difficulty is dropping because GPU miners have other choices. New coins are coming out every few days.
If VTC keeps on innovating, it will survive.

It is too bad this coin is going to get mined hard right away. Everyone is looking for x11 coins.
I wish there was an early miner incentive. The difficulty is going to go up so fast. It doesn't really matter if you mine right away. At most you will get like 1 or 2 days worth of coins if you get lucky solomining in the first 10 minutes and then it is a difficult coin to mine.
Oh well. I am in on this coin.
If you think every one is after X11 coins, then there is no need for incentives for this coin. |

First 500 Blocks: 0.002 KimoCoin (to avoid instamine);

From block 3000 to 5000: 500 KimoCoin

Darkcoin is discussing airdrop at the moment to mitigate the effect of instant mining.
In order to reduce the instant mining, I would suggest proportional block reward according to difficulty in the first few, say 5000 blocks. For example, set the starting difficulty to be 0.01, but the block reward is 1, when the difficulty is increased to 1, the reward is 10. The relationship between block reward and difficulty does not have to be linear.
This will give time to the miners and pools to set up their wallets and mining software. They are not much disadvantaged by coming to the mining just a little bit late.
But then it will disadvantage little solo miners. Like me. KimoCoin has a increasing reward system initially giving people days to adjust. There is no complaint about that. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524216.0 |
