981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Make Money With Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2019, 07:26:30 PM
1- Are you a daily trader? who buy BTC at loew price and sell it with higher price at the end of the day, If no why?
2- Are you a BTC holder? who bought BTC and hold it for months, Years to be in profit?
3- you tell me.
I am not a daily trader because I have no further knowledge to it in order to profit correctly and time to monitor the price daily instead I am a BTC holder for a long term basis as I hold it for years if possible while waiting for the market to recover.

It's not easy to be both therefore I choose to be a BTC holder, I consecutively put all my extra money in BTC then I just wait for the bull run to come and sell it to the price that I like and I do it vice versa.

A Merry merry Christmas Greetings to all of us who believe in the future of Bitcoin!

I wish you all with better good health, happiness and better profit! Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!

My New Year's Resolution to bitcoin and cryptocurrency:
1. HODL
2. INVEST
3. RESIST
4. TRY NEW OTHER THINGS

Merry Christmas to all of us here also, I've been here for several years already celebrating Christmas and New Year's every year is the best season to remember. May the upcoming years will bring us more hope and may the bull run will start to commence next year so the forum will become crowded again.

And may the forum will keep on advancing while keeping those shit projects and scams from launching so the investors will become less worried about the project that are keep on popping from nowhere.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Can I pay in Bitcoin here?" - go and ask this each time you pay something! on: December 25, 2019, 06:25:52 AM
Me and my friends go over to asking the staff every time we have to pay a bill somewhere at the checkout if we can pay with Bitcoin. Of course the answer is always no. We are much more concerned with raising awareness among the general public about cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular. Because we often see that shortly after this question, employees tell their colleagues about this presence, and they will almost certainly do so at home.  A single question can reach dozens of people and Bitcoin is becoming more aware.

So: go out and invest those few seconds during each payment process to push the Bitcoin!
So your country is not yet fully open about crypto currencies because here in our country even if our government didn't legalize yet the use of crypto currencies, our local exchange let us use crypto currencies freely like paying different kind of bills using bitcoin but right now our local exchange let us store only bitcoin, ethereum, xrp and bch.

What I am looking in the future is our government will fully legalize crypto currencies so the people will become more aware about it as right now I can see that only 30% of our total population is aware about crypto currencies and less than 20% only that are into crypto currencies.
984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trade Your Privacy to ₿itcoin? on: December 25, 2019, 02:51:02 AM
Would you be willing to trade your location, name, and any other private and personal details over BTCitcoin? Yes? No? Why?
I know many of us have already submitted countless documents to various cryptocurrency exchanges just to pass their KYC process and comply with AML but how far would someone be willing to give up just to get a part of that precious BTCitcoin?

It always depend on the situation because there are other entities also that are paying for our privacy for their own benefits, so in this case even if they are willing to give a huge amount of bitcoin I will not trade my personal details to them as there is a big chance that they are going to use it in shady transactions.

But if for example in an exchange, I am willing to cooperate especially if they are doing it for our own good as there is a very low chance that they will leak our personal details as it will backfire to them also and they will loss their profit if it will happen. But so far, only in our local exchange that I gave my personal details.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much bitcoin to buy? on: December 25, 2019, 01:07:45 AM
I recently purchased bitcoin, it was the most I have ever put into a cryptocurrency.
This is going to be a long term buy, This was taken out of stock money,
Now that I have done this I feel more excited about
where bitcoin is headed than  I do about stocks. Now I feel like I should take more out of
Stocks, Feel there’s going to be more return this way. Thoughts on this am I getting carried away

You are in a correct way, stocks are very long term to earn a decent money unlike in crypto currencies that you can easily profit especially if the bull run is coming. Right now we are nearly at the bottom of the market so it is the right time to stock your bitcoin or any currencies that you like so the return of your investment will become huge once we hit the peak of the market.

You can just start slowly buy buying small amount of bitcoin but do it very often so you can stock a good amount of bitcoin before the bull run comes.
986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: December 24, 2019, 09:48:09 AM
I think bitcoin has been one of the biggest innovations of the human in the past years. Many altcoins have been created after bitcoin. But none of  them have been successful as bitcoin is. Why is that?
Why no altcoin can replace bticoin?
Every new thing and every technology is usually replaced by a newer one as the world is always developing.

The first television built was mechanical, then electronic television were invented, then colour televisions, digital, 3D, ....
The first automobiles invented were steam-powered wheeled vehicles, then electric automobiles appeared. Now we have autonomous cars. Now we have Tesla model S. Now we have Lamborghini.
All of us know about the developments made in mobile phones.

Every thing is being developed. Every device is finally replaced by a newer one. Why no altcoin has replaced bitcoin till now? Do you think it will happen in future?
I personally think people will trust what Satoshi has created more than altcoins till many years later.
Altcoins are created to make the developers rich. But bitcoin is different. Bitcoin was created in favor of us. So, no altcoin can be trusted as bitcoin.

What do you think?
I am also curious about it, I am wondering also why most of the big investors are favoring bitcoin over other coins even if the other coins/tokens were keep on innovating just to provide the best service to the customers or clients in order to give us the satisfaction.

Yeah, I also see that advantages. No one has the control over bitcoin compare to the other currencies that only the team behind the project will become successful once they will come on top.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Crypto Based Economy Make Things Safer? on: December 24, 2019, 07:28:02 AM
As the state of economy does at times really influence levels of crime and social aspects in any community.

Right now under the fiat system there is a major and growing sides of rich and poor.
With many times people who are "without" getting into trouble. Such as committing crimes. Getting into substance abuse etc.

If society or at least communities are able to become more independent and based their markets all on crypto. In which they follow the principles of crypto? as in prevent inflation and create an equal or at least more fair financial market. If that was the case/

Would this create a more safer community? would this cause people not to resort to crime? substance abuse? etc?

Your thoughts why or why not?

With regards to fiat, the only advantage of crypto currencies is not everyone can easily bypass it and steal it from other especially those people whom other labelled them as poor because it's kinda difficult for them to gather the resources and knowledge to do this hacking staff due to their standing in life.

But still, the possibility to be rob you is there as they can easily ask for your private key in exchange of your life so if there is a little chance of crimes then we cannot say that we can create a safer community. Though everything will always depend on the government on how they are going to fight this kind of problems in the community in order to give us the safer life.
988  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is the perfect time to sell BTC? on: December 24, 2019, 06:54:38 AM
I am holding BTC from long time ago. And this time BTC going up can I sell now with this price? Or I can wait for more days?
Can you give us the exact date on how long you've been holding your bitcoin? Because selling is someone's choice and we have a different goals for bitcoin price before we like to sell it.

Frankly speaking, the best time to sell is when the market is in the peak of it's price and if you are wondering when is the peak price of bitcoin. It occurred last 2017-Jan 2018 and if you are only holding for less than a year and you call it a long time ago already then you still have plenty of experience to gain in order to become a good investor.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Gold? Which one you would choose to invest for long term? Why ? on: December 24, 2019, 04:38:34 AM
We all have different  prospective regarding the investment , be it long term or short term.

Bitcoin has been the most amazing invention and has given massive return of investment for those who joined from 2013. From low point in 2013 to 20k in 2017, it has gone from one end to another end. Right now today its trading at $10461 per bitcoin. The prediction is with just 21 million maximum supply it will reach 1 million bucks per coin one day.

Gold has been one of the most popular investment for centuries. Every country or government be it in the past or present always prefer gold reserve over their own currency even to prepare themselves for financial meltdown. Right now GOLD is being traded at $1425/oz.

So my question is which one you would chose for your investment ? Which one you would chose to outperform the other ? GOLD or BITCOIN? Please tell us with a reason why ?

Thanks everyone for taking part in this discussion.

Right now I will prefer in bitcoin investment rather than gold even if gold has existed for how many centuries already because I am more familiar with crypto currencies investment and I have a little knowledge about gold investment.

In bitcoin, I prefer a long term one as I consider it as my little savings and I will love to sell it once I badly need it or the market tells me to sell it like what happened in 2017. I am confident with bitcoin investment compare to gold so my one and only choice right now is bitcoin investment.
990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You selling to buy Xmas gifts or using bitcoins to buy Xmas gifts? on: December 23, 2019, 12:02:15 PM
So, watching the price of Bitcoin going down, made me think of reasons why this might be happening now.  Roll Eyes  I saw the news of the Chinese

scam and the coins being liquidated, but that sounds like a lame excuse for the price going down. A better reason might be that people are selling

coins or using coins to buy Xmas gifts. Let's be honest, it is that time of the year and people are going on holiday, so they need to dive into their

Bitcoin hoard to pay for that and also some Xmas gifts.  Huh

Are you using your coins to buy Xmas gifts and to pay for your holiday expenses?

I've been thinking the same way also even if I did invest only the extra money that I have, what in my mind is what is the best and unique gift that I can give to my family and love one. I did not use bitcoin to buy x-mas gift instead I used in as my unique gift to my love one and I am very happy that she likes it as she like's money so much.

And what makes me happy most is that my love one didn't sell the bitcoins after hearing my explanation to her on what is crypto currencies and how we can earn money to it even by investing a little amount consecutively. Merry Xmas to all and may the next year we will have the best year for come back.

992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinsbit’s CEO resigns to Start his own Marketing Firm on: December 19, 2019, 09:53:48 AM
Nikolai Udianskyi, one of the main 10 blockchain business visionaries, reported that he has left Coinsbit and built up a showcasing organization PRMR.com which draws in interest in Ukraine and around the globe.

Udianskyi, Coinsbit’s CEO and fellow benefactor said he sold his organization enthusiasm to ITECOSYSTEM OU. Coinsbit, which Forbes recorded as one of Asia’s TOP-10 blockchain firms in 2018, has as of late pulled in 1.1 million clients to record.

Source: TheCoinRepublic

This kind of move is very wise as he knows that even if he resigns and sold his old organization he can still create a new one that will still profit because of his influence and experience in this kind of industry.

Drawing interest around the globe is not that easy even if you are popular but Nikolai proves that his skills, experience and knowledge can achieve this goal again.

993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO/IEO projects are lying to airdrop and bounty participants for a long time! on: December 19, 2019, 02:22:02 AM
One thing that I really do not like about ICOs, IEOs, etc., is that they are misleading us for a very long time when it comes to the token price.

For example, there's one airdrop event in which you will receive an amount of tokens worth $10, $20, etc., and bounty rewards which you can get $50 worth of tokens for participating in a signature campaign.

But here's a harsh truth where ICOs and IEOs are lying to us for most of the time.

How can we say if the airdrop or bounty reward is exactly $50 where it can even get dumped in exchanges?

There is no guarantee that the airdrop and bounty tokens we receive are "fixed amounts" (unless if it's a stablecoin or popular one like BTC, ETH, XRP, etc.)

So here is my advice to all ICOs and IEOs when you are doing airdrop and bounty program to participants.

Don't say "$50 worth of tokens". But rather say "$50 worth of tokens in ICO/IEO price", so that people like me may be aware that the reward we get is not what we expect. There is 99.99% chance that the reward we get are going down to shit, and only 0.01% chance that it would actually go to the moon!

So to all ICOs and IEOs please, just stop lying to us about this!

I know most of you here can relate to this situation after so many months/years of participating in airdrops and bounty opportunities.

Does any of the airdroppers and bounty hunters agree or not with my statement? Feel free to comment here!

It is part of their marketing plan so you cannot blame them, if you are in their part are you going to tell the people the exact price that they can get even if the number of participants will be lessen compared to not telling them? There are only two options that will happen in that scenario either you can receive lower compare to the price that they mentioned or above once their tokens/coins will become successful and the demand will skyrocket.

And in that case, only the newbies will have problem with it but for us who have stayed in crypto for a long time then we know already if what is going on.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 19, 2019, 12:09:51 AM
I couldn't hold it back any longer; as I have sold off my major portfolio because of Christmas celebration. This hold started from last year July, 2018 and now, couldn't hold them again as I have sell off my assets because of the pressure from the family members. After the sale of this asset this evening, I was perplexed as how much I just dumped, all in the name of Christmas.

What are your experience: positive or negative.

Never invest the money that you will be needing in any occasions especially if you are planning to hold for a long term, it will be best if you will just invest little by little using your extra money or your money for savings.

So far, I have no problem right now as I only invest my extra money and I still have the money for the Christmas celebrations. I am planning for a long term hold even if it will take the market to recover in the year 2022 as I am pretty sure that the market will surely recover again.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to introduce crypto currency to newbies on: December 18, 2019, 02:11:18 PM
In your opinion, what is an effective way to introduce crypto currency for newbies, and how important do you think?
I think platform like the Brave browser are a very effective way, this is important because newbies are the future?
Give all your thoughts here
I have difficulties in explaining to newbies also on what is crypto currencies all about and how they can earn from it even if they are not going to invest a money. I am not really familiar with brave browser so I cannot really use it in my case and in the other hand my main problem here is most of the newbies are thinking that crypto currencies is like pyramid scheming as many got scammed using the bitcoin as the front of their advertisement.

Maybe if there is clear guide that can easily define what is crypto, how the newbies can earn in crypto without using a single money, how they can benefits in using crypto and all other positive things about crypto then I guess it will become easier for us to introduce the crypto currencies to the newbies.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins delist and Bitcoin only on: December 18, 2019, 12:58:36 AM
Some services here in crypto only trust Bitcoin then they not use Altcoins now like example in Faucethub that very useful and helpful in the past with different cryptocurrency but base in government restriction then they can only run with Bitcoin and not Altcoins then now i read this news so i want to hear your opinion about this because i think in future we can only use Bitcoin

https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinfloors-ceo-explains-decision-to-delist-all-crypto-but-bitcoin-to-cointelegraph/amp

It's very difficult to delist altcoins in the future especially if the demand is still there, if there are other governments that bans altcoins and only allow bitcoin then it doesn't mean that other governments will do the same also.

The possibility that we can only use bitcoin in the future is very low as there are plenty of coins/tokens out there that are very helpful also, so I guess it is up to the crypto community on what to support as the tokens/coins will continue to grow if the demand will not stop.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $100 million worth of ETH? on: December 16, 2019, 06:32:13 AM
At the peak of the market during the massive bull run of 2017, the Ethereum Foundation liquidated 70,000 ETH. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin convinced the foundation to sell at that time.

The price of ETH peaked at $1,400 during January of 2018, which would have netted approximately $100 million from the sale. Buterin also disclosed a personal sale of 30,000 ETH at the same time.

Full news here

Holy smokes! Now this is why their projects can keep up for a very long while.

To me, it was a wise decision for them to liquidate their ETH when it reaches its all-time high back then. Even the “extraordinary terrestrial” himself, Vitalik Buterin, sold his personal 30,000 ETH.

I just wish it was 2017 all over again, when we could have sold some ETH and other tokens during the big bull run. However, I honestly think that it will not repeat ever again because the market has matured already.

Good for them. Well done!

You are talking about the past but you are doubting the future of crypto currencies, I completely disagree with your statement that it will not repeat ever again. Market is like up and down while it continue to dominate it's top price in every peak of the market therefore in the coming peak of the market there is a big chance that we can see an increase of price that are more than compare to the peak price of 2017-2018.

The Eth founder and it's team have their own reasons why they decided to sell those amounts of holding that they have and there is a big chance that they will buy it back once the market will start to move upward again.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JuSt a wish on: December 16, 2019, 03:50:38 AM
This is just if, new projects are finding it hard to list on top exchanges because of listing funds but since market is not in a good season why is top exchange listing fee still that high? Top exchanges are not making it easy for new projects to list on their exchanges or am i missing some good information?

And about binance IEO is there anyone on here who can tell me more about them? i mean if a project like eminer can conduct IEO on binance why can't others? is there some kind of agreement like taking IEO fundraising fee after IEO is successful?

Damn i wish new projects can just have their chances as well, now that bitcoin is losing its value things are getting more harder for new projects

All listing have a requirements, those who successfully launched their IEO in Binance have successfully passed all the requirements that Binance has set on. And with regards to listing fee, the more popular the exchange is the higher their fee is. That is how the exchange works and if you are worried about the new projects that cannot afford the listing fee, then you should stop it as most of the projects that cannot afford that listing fee is just a shit projects.

Genuine projects are not that week to unable to collect the listing fee to any exchange that they like to list their tokens/coins.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before I Invest With Cryptoqurrency? on: December 16, 2019, 03:03:12 AM
1. Check the overall contents of the project such as a team, road map, white paper, etc.
2. Check various features offered by the project such as privacy coins or decentralized coins.
3. Check how valuable the coins are or compare with other more popular coins. if the coins have potential, of course have a multi-professional team & the volume of coins always increases.
4. To be honest, the best coins to invest are the top coins or have been listed in the top 10 at CMC.
5. I suggest you invest in established coins rather than looking for very young and newly planted coins to invest.
I say this because I personally don't have a high risk appetite, so it's better to invest safely ..
how about you guys?

Top 10 in CMC are only good for long term holding but if you really like to easily multiply your money in just a short period of time then investing in new projects is the best option. New projects have a high ROI if the project will become successful and high risk also if in case the project will not able to reach their target or the team will run your hard earned money.

It's about strategy, patient and being resourceful in order to profit in crypto currencies. All that were mentioned are all useful but because of many projects that pops up everyday then it will take you time to filter those shit projects from the genuine one so you really need to be patient.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Trust Libra Coin With Your Money? on: December 16, 2019, 01:55:30 AM
Digital currency Libra needs the global reach of Facebook to thrive, but its opposition is also driven by the social network. Controversy reigns as regulators assemble

By June 2019, there were more than 2,400 cryptocurrencies in circulation, with occasional daily launches. Most of them were almost useless, virtually no one knew of them, and they would never be. So when another –called Libra –was announced on June 18 in a white paper, you might have expected that it would not attract more attention than any of the others.

Yet Libra has received a huge amount of attention from the moment of its launch. The project made many of the same promises for most new digital currencies to venture: it would work more efficiently than existing payment technologies, avoiding the enormous spikes and falling in value that made Bitcoin, the first and best-known cryptocurrency, such a roulette wheel. More eye-catching was his pledge to reach billions of unbanked people around the world–people with little or no exposure to the global financial system–to open up vast new business and work opportunities for at least some of the world’s poor and revolutionize the global financial system.

One of the biggest supporters was the main reason people heard this time: Twitter. Freshly emerging from a seemingly endless series of data privacy controversies, the social media giant now emerged as the lead partner in a plan to create a new global currency alongside a consortium of other major tech, finance, and business firms, and vowed to carry it out in early 2020.

Clearly, Libra was attacked from all sides in the weeks and months following its launch. Cryptocurrency fans said that Libra was not a true cryptocurrency because it violates some of the basic principles advocated by the sometimes techno-anarchic fan base in the community–including the important distinction that Libra transactions still depend on confidence rather than mathematical proof.

Others attacked Libra as an accumulation of corporate power. Economists cautioned that it might challenge the influence of countries over their own monetary policy, thus undermining democracy. And lawmakers and regulators around the world came together to say they would launch investigations or take action against the fledgling currency before it even started.

Read more DoggBitCoin.Com

If I can get something in return of trusting Libra with my money then I am willing to trust them but if in case I cannot get anything from Libra coin then I will not bother myself in learning about Libra. It's a matter of return of investment, if I cannot get an ROI of my hard earned money then I rather switch to other coins that has a high risk with a high ROI also.

But right now, there is a very less chance that Libra can still launch successfully as most of it's partners are exiting the Libra project.
