Hey Hhampuz, signature updated: by the way, if you could have a look at the DM I've sent you that would be nice. Thanks.  Smiley
983  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-01-20] Janet Yellen suggests 'curtailing' cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin on: January 25, 2021, 08:30:28 AM
I think the solution here can be very simple. I suggest curtailing Janet Yellen  Smiley
That's no easy task, man. She's just been appointed Head of the United States Department of the Treasury and I believe it's very unlikely we will see her anywhere else in the near future. What I truly don't like about her is that she's way too Keynesian or, as they describe her a "Keynesian to her fingertips". Instead of recognizing the utter fail of a Keynesian principles in the economy, the plague of these kind of economist ruling the world marches on.
984  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: -what are the best Bitcoin wallets? on: January 25, 2021, 08:23:16 AM
Sometimes I wonder how is that even possible that in 2021 people still don't get the difference of what is a wallet, what is an exchange, what is a private key and so forth.
Exchange ≠ wallet: never forget this unless you to find yourself a king without a kingdom  Grin (thanks for it Lucius)
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 25, 2021, 08:18:10 AM
So, we know that these two guys will fight somewhere in the future but we do not know when, nonetheless they are fighting already via social media platforms. It reminds me when we were young kids and when we had arguments we were so bold to say to our opponent: "meet me outside in the next few days, I will smash you!"  Grin
Lol, I remember this line when I was a kid and having some troubles with my classmate in school.

These two fighters are very interesting to watch, they had almost the same stat which means it is hard to predict who will win this match. Both are aggressive fighters and it seems they have a good fight. For now, let us wait when this match will happen and I know a lot of bookies I guess preparing as of now for this fight that places to bet.
Yeah, so true! I think we've all have had our fair share of glory when we were kids. During my childhood there were no phones, no internet, no distractions and every dispute or argument between us angry teenagers would have been solved with a nice fight. After that we were ready to become friends again, until the next one.  Grin

Anyway I have one question for you: is the bonus for TrustDice via GOSU still valid? https://www.btcgosu.com/review/trustdice/

This is an attractive offer, None deposit bonus is always welcome to me, normally I do not miss any non deposit bonus.
I don't know is it work or not but I sign up from GOSU page and after adding email didn't get any free spin. I think if there is a problem on sign up link or it will take 40x wagering requirement to claim the free spin. Even I've applied the given bonus code but but its not valid. Let me know if this promotion works for you or not.

Let me check with TrustDice and get back to you guys asap!
So be Twitch then  Smiley Sorry for being a dinosaur sometimes.
Regarding TrustDice, since Swordsoffreedom tried it already, we will wait for your input about the bonus. Hopefully you'll have that sorted out soon.  Wink

Sorry efialtis but I'm too old for this shit. What the heck is twitch now? Grin The only thing I understand is that you are (rightly) trying to monetize GOSU as good as you possibly can.

988  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of Bitcoin will remain stable at this price? on: January 24, 2021, 04:28:51 PM
I don't think the price will remain stable, primarily because there's never been such a thing as being stable when referring to the bitcoin price. If it will keep oscillating peacefully (doing sideways) expect some few shitcoins perform better against bitcoin (and then remember that if btc starts again they will be crushed again). Play yor game. I'm only stacking sats.
989  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-01-21 BBG - Bitcoin Plunge Has Newbies Scrambling to Google Double-Spend on: January 24, 2021, 04:24:19 PM
Nothing new over the horizon when these pricks have to follow their agendas; when bitcoin goes down then pump the fud, when it goes up pump the we are all rich articles.
I'm sick of this shit, really.
990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 24, 2021, 04:20:32 PM
New development and innovation will be added to the existing Bitcoin network backbone as 2nd-layer add-ons (LN is one such example and there are, and will be, others). Bitcoin is currently a huge decentralized network, the size of which the world has never seen before. It is by far the fastest computational entity currently in existence on earth. This achievement is not easy to replicate. Apart from its vast size, it possesses features no other network of its kind possesses. Bitcoin is decentralized, trustless, immutable, borderless, scalable, super-hardened, super-robust, deflationary, scarce, not owned by any specific entity. It's all of the above and more. All at the same time. These are not blockchain properties, they are Bitcoin properties.

Just as new, innovative internet technologies are added on top of the tried, tested and robust TCP/IP layer, so will new, innovative technologies be added on top of the Bitcoin network backbone. There's no need to reinvent the wheel when the wheel is the optimal strategy. There are 100s of car brands, but their products all use wheels, because anything else is sub-optimal. Bitcoin is the "wheel" of the digital monetary revolution, and it will be used for decades to come. We, as Bitcoin HoDLers, are now tapping on the fundamental building block of a monetary instrument that will shake the foundations of the world's financial and wealth infrastructure. The avalanche has started, it's getting bigger, and it's unstoppable.

If anyone thinks an altcoin can easily replace all of the above, he is deluded. It's just a matter of time. You can either understand the tech, realise its potential and embrace it, or wait until you are forced to do so. It's up to you.
No shitcoin has replaced bitcoin in over ten years.
And no will do that for the rest of our lives.

992  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-01-22] OKCoin to integrate Lightning Network on: January 23, 2021, 08:59:49 AM
This is good news, thank you. This is what the Lightning network and the whole community certainly needs. I reckon gambling sites and other services should begin offering this also. I have been hesitant in making a transaction to a sportsbook when I see a $5.00 fee to include my transaction on the next block. I also do not want to risk to have my transaction unconfirmed in the moment the games begin hehe.

Also, Ethereum Defi projects have billions locked, I do not know why. The high demand for bitcoin transactions should put Lightning up there in top 10 with the help of the exchanges.

https://defipulse.com/
Good news Carlton!
Replying to bbc.reporter my take is that DeFi's being used to gain (mostly lose) money by shitcoin speculators. The LN is bitcoin's new super fast highway for transacting and therefore the use of LN can't be compared to many of those defi instruments and tools.
Once, LN will be more mature you will see defi data crumbling because most of the money will move again on btc.
I mean, day-to-day transactions on eth for defi are way too expensive. Useless virtual machine.
993  Economy / Speculation / Re: to sell or buy BTC? on: January 23, 2021, 08:53:05 AM
we are in 2018 again (after the 2017 ath).
this is the most difficult trading window available: if you are here for the long run then don't be worried but if you can't keep up with some franticvolatility, refrain from buying and selling.
This time it was different from the 2018 market scenario. During the year 2018 the price fell steep downward gradually once after the market of bitcoin touched its ath. This time the scenario is different, the market keeps undergoing price correction. From every price correction it gains good stability for a forward push than a downward deviation. If it was like the 2018 market now the bitcoin price will be sitting around $20000 - $25000.
Every time is different, yet the trading pattern of 2017-2018 looks pretty similar to what we are witnessing now. I know the scenario has completely changed with institutional money now leading the trades. IMHO a correction after the last ATH was necessary as dumb retail money was jumping onboard and I bet many people smashed their heads quite badly falling from the top.
We will see what happens, we have a long way to go.
994  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the point of collateralized loans ? on: January 23, 2021, 08:46:45 AM
I think that there is no material benefit from loans, I mean that you borrow when you do not have enough money to buy something but you have the guarantee. The guarantee may be a real estate, a car, or a friend’s guarantee. In the end, you buy what you want and then after that you have to return the loan + fees, this can be a single payment or in installments.
This is similar to loans in real life, so you cannot profit from the loan, all you can gain is speed up getting something that you cannot buy with the capital that you have, but in the end you are a loser because you will pay the loan + fees.
Taking out loans which have crazy LTVs as we speak it's not a good idea.
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/loantovalue.asp
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have wild price oscillations and I would probably never rely on a collateralized loan that stands on these shaky foundations. There are some market conditions in which you could be lucky but then it's like gambling out money.
If you would have taken a loan in March 2020 with 1 btc that would have repaid what you have asked and more; while if you opened it at $42000, today you might have a big problem.
995  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the point of collateralized loans ? on: January 22, 2021, 09:21:49 AM
DeFi on Eth is completely broken now. As you said you will lose lots of money in fees only to get your loan. If you are not someone who can make money via those sketchy flash loans there's no point using lending/borrowing via eth platforms right now.
Also, as others have written here, collateralized loans during these heavy market weather conditions are simply crazy.

998  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-01-12] The Era of Government-Friendly Bitcoin Miners Is Here on: January 22, 2021, 08:53:13 AM

Would be interesting to research whether and if these companies have had any form of a public grant or something to pay for that huge contract they signed with bitmain; that would tell a lot of the game they are playing.

Direct offerings:
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/marathon-patent-group-announces-closing-215700823.html
And money has come from everywhere, including from Vanguard and Fidelity.
It's a Nasdaq listed company, no point in trying to dig some conspiracy theory, they've smelled a niche, and they are betting their business on it.
People pay a premium for "clean" fresh coins, why wouldn't they pay more for their transactions to be "certified' or whatever term they will be using, in a world that has a habit of trying to show you it defies logic every second it wouldn't amaze me to hear they are already negotiating with some exchanges.
Thank you stompix, I was just being curious about it, no conspiracy intended. Maybe for us, bitcoiners, it would be just crazy to think that these entities would like to pay a premium for clean coins from the coinbase but so be it. Eventually, the clean coins will start circulating and be tainted anyway.

Sorry efialtis but I can't keep up with all the signups we need here to leverage all these amazing promos of yours!
By the way, I see only a few reviews miss the KYC info right now: are you still working on them too?

Hey,

well - I will take that first part as a compliment? Wink

Regarding the KYC info... you are so right, I still haven't added it to all reviews, I will get this done for the rest, too, very shortly - thanks for the reminder! Smiley
Of course man! That's a compliment indeed  Grin
Regarding the KYC part, being the one who asked for it, I believe that is very important to have it finished. I think you only miss a few so it's no big deal but that was truly a great addition!
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 22, 2021, 08:39:55 AM
^  Yup.  But dunno...  I’ve always seen Hamilton as this guy waiting to come home to McLaren.  He is to McLaren as Messi is to Barca or Ronaldo is to United.  I hope to see him return before he retires.
Don't forget the money part as these guys will always put that as their top priority. Long are gone the days of those sportsmen who felt some love and passion for their team. You also picked two wrong examples IMO, as Messi is trying hard to leave Barça while Ronaldo will never go back to United ever again.

Yup..  but you know...  When you say ‘Messi’, it’s always and will always be synonymous with Barca whichever club he may be playing with next if ever he leaves.  Some people think Hamilton = Mercedes.  It’s really McLaren, his boyhood team and where he won his first driver’s championship.
No man, I'm not sure that we can easily talk about Messi and referring to Barça especially if we take into account what is happening recently.
With motorsport, if I have to make an association that will last forever,  that would be for sure the Ferrari - Schumacher one.  Wink
