981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Ethereum Mining Pool for Innosilicon A10 Pro+ 6G? on: December 19, 2020, 02:53:43 PM
I have purchased some Innosilicon A10 Pro+ 6G 500 Mhz and I wonder which is the best pool for mining Ethereum with those? Also does anybody knows if you can connect those miners on Nicehash?

As far I have tested Antpool and Ethermine.  Antpool has a better higher hash rate that accepts of the miners but has a more declined shares. Ethermine is the opposite. It accepts less hashing rate than Antpool but has higher percent acceptance of shares.
I will try to post every week the results of each pool with statistics and photos.

500mhs you mean?

I thought that was a 720mhs unit not 500mhs.    Or is this a lower power mode?

Thanks for posting and offering to share the info.
Have you seen an innosilicon A10 pro+ with 720MHs? I'm guessing they aren't real since I can't confirm from innosilicon team themselves, it looks like those 720mhs A10 are overclocked version of the 500mhs A10 pro + ? Correct me if I'm a wrong, I will definitely like to hear your feedback

Wouldnt surprise me if they are not just hot rodding the 500mhs units.  Same has been true for a lot of asics.  Usually at the expense of power.  Which seems about right as the few places ive seen advertising the 720 show power at about 50% above stock.  I have no plans to buy one but plenty of my previous asics were much faster than stock with firmware and power upgrades.

well is december 25, 4gb gpu will perish on eth dag size?

next week will be interesting time for eth miner, i will watch how much diff will go down this moment

my body is ready for party

Actually for miners running linux the can run until end of january by then 4gb cards will be about 50% of the hash they were.  So the dropping away will be a little gradual.  Some miners have already fallen off with most asics now stopped.  Problem is huge new amount of hash from the new series gpus is also coming online.  Interesting times.

So what are you going to do with the $0.06/day before power..... please do tell.

Why at $21 a year how long will your roi be?  How long will the A50 work at that load?

These numbers are for reference only, not mining advice. If u have access to cheap secondhand phones with cracked screens it might do, I personally prefer android TV boxes for mining.

You side stepped the point at most making $0.06 a day with power costs is a terrible idea.  Also the coin you point to has low liquidity.  You can probably make substantially more by collecting aluminum cans on the side of the road.    You can make almost any device mine...but at some point you are just spinning your wheels. The point being is that it maybe fun from a hacking point of view but isnt really going to make you anything.  The coins mined are near worthless and generally difficult to exchange.  If this is your way to make money....expect to be poor.

But you be you.  Its a terrible way to mine...but nobody can stop you.  Plenty have advised the same but i wouldnt dare stop you from chasing windmills.   Roll Eyes
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on P104-100 Nvidia GPUs? on: December 19, 2020, 02:34:48 PM
This tech article:

https://www.bitnand.com/nvidia-p104-100-gpu-mining-review

compares it to the 1080.  Although now that I think about it, the fact that it has a single 8 pin power plug should confirm it being based on the 1070.

Oh well, I have 6 of them on the way now, I'll find space for them in my computers and put them to work.

I sure hope you didnt pay the $350 per card they show....

For that price you could have 5700xts that do well over 50mhs ... will still mine eth for years to come and have full 8gb.  Plus are also full blown video cards.

The 3060ti will be great once price drops back to msrp $399 and is actually on the shelf.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining in mobile phone Real?? on: December 19, 2020, 02:06:09 AM
So what mining on a phone is a terrible idea both from a hardware point of view and from an earnings point of view.

Those that insist phone mining is real and profitable can never show either actually.

for reference:
Samsung A50 - 3 Mh/s (same as GTX 1060)
Ryzen 5 1600 - 12 Mh/s
RTX 3090 - 23 Mh/s
on veruscoin.

So what are you going to do with the $0.06/day before power..... please do tell.

Guys i have problem i have 4*rx 470 4gb, and one 390 8gb... When i want to turn on team red miner i cannot only because of 390 i Get error, can i stop detection of this card and use only other four...

From the link on the First Post of this thread:

-d, --devices=DEVLIST     Sets gpu devices to use from detected list. DEVLIST should be a comma-
separated list of device indices, e.g. -d 0,1,2,4.  If not specified, all
devices on the platform(s) will be used.  NOTE: by default the devices are ordered
by pcie bus ordering. Use --list_devices to show indices.

I did that and same, i got error, When start recognizing he said dont recognize hawaii and just reset miner...

If the 390 is not in 1st position gpu0...does it work on the 1 card with -d 0
This should only allow it to run on that card.  Then add one by one until you work it out.
You can also do the list_devices to see the numbering.  Because it sounds like you are not omitting the card.  Also try both -d and —devices=
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak XL - Read/modify timings/pp/straps on the fly on: December 18, 2020, 10:46:55 PM
Dear, can you help me with amdmemtweak
for this card - ATI Sapphire NITRO RX Vega 56 8 GB Hynix HBM2, 113-D0500310-O01

i have this timing -
amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RAS 30 --RCDRD 14 --RCDWR 12 --RC 36 --RP 14 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 6 --RTP 5 --FAW 12 --CWL 8 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 14 --REF 65535 --RFC 249

and my maximum is 45.9Mhs

Please help with tunning this tweak  :-)

Thank you very much for all.

Try

ras 26 / rcdrd 12 / rcdwr 12 / rc 38 / rp 12 / rrds 4 / rrdl 5 . rtp 6 /faw 12 / cwl 8 / wtrs 4 / wtrl 9 / wr 13 / ref 24000 (21100 if it doesnt like 24000) / rfc 239

core 1090 / mem 1020 / volt 825 (835 if unstable)

I get 53.18mhs with my vega56's..

thank you. Have you got the same cards (Sapphire Radeon NITRO Vega 56 8G, Hynix)?
I cant  set mem 1020, my max is 830 and core 1100.

Ive got some with Hynix and some with Samesung.  What are you using to set your clocks?  I use linux and can set without issue.  If on windows make the mem 1/2 or 510.  Linux is 2x mem of windows.

i have RaveOS. (is the same as HiveOS)
www.raveos.com

and my settings - core 1100, memclock 810-850, core vol 800-875, mem vol 800-875
but max hashrate is 45mh/s

Does it have an entry field and slider or just slider?  If entry field you can try to enter the value.  At worst requires a reboot of rig if it doesnt like it.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any news about nvidia 3060ti hash rates? on: December 18, 2020, 10:02:44 PM
ETH

$750, 1 x 3080 = 240w, 100 mhs
$850, 2 x 3060ti = 270w, 124 mhs

I think they are pretty even, i guess in the end is going to be what you prefer.

Or which one you can actually find and buy (right now)

993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2x Antminer Z15 or Innosilicon A10 Pro+ 6GB? on: December 18, 2020, 05:46:04 PM
Yes, I'm thinking of buying this one. https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/innosilicon/a10-pro-ethminer-720mh

ROI is around 8 months, and even if its like 10 or 12 months, that is fine by me. I am hesitating buying it because it will be my first Innosilicon miner and I don't know much about the miner quality itself and if I will get it by January.

But what if during that period markets go down and takes you 24-36 months to roi....are you ok with that?
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on P104-100 Nvidia GPUs? on: December 18, 2020, 03:38:20 AM
Get about 35mhs on eth at 135w.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.3b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 17, 2020, 11:17:20 PM
I am seriously worried that the developer will disappear like Claymore.
Therefore, you need to add DAG Epoch support to the program in advance.

The dev doesnt need to do anything.  Maybe try asking nicely instead of demanding.  The dev owes you nothing.

996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminers E3 still alive for ETH? on: December 17, 2020, 10:16:27 PM
I suspect just like 570/580's the memory chips can be replaced with higher capacity units.  Would probably need a fix to firmware but maybe not.  Surely somebody will open one up...removing and replacing SMT components is not a big deal....if ya got the gear.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stolen ETH from my Ledger on: December 17, 2020, 05:34:24 PM
Gosh, this is scary.  I'm new to all this, and now I'm second guessing things I've ready concerning securely storing coins.

I presently don't have any kind of a hardware wallet, I do have the coinbase wallet app on my phone, but nothing in there just yet.  My trivial amounts of crypto are just still in the coinbase account, which as I think I understand it, is NOT a wallet controlled by me, as they don't give you any seeds.  I have had that account for over 3 years, but very little crypto in there.  I am planning to start mining in January, and my plan is to mine and hodl for long term.  I've had a few different recommendations on how I should store these earnings, there are different opinions.  But maybe the way to ask the question is, for a guy getting started, and wanting to work and hodl long term, what is the very best, most secure way to store these coins?  Should I invest in a hardware wallet?  I don't quite understand how you connect to one, if it's meant to be offline, not on your network, etc...  "Cold Wallet" is what I'm reading about.

If I buy one, how can I ensure that it isn't a return with somebody else's seeds on it?  Is there a way to do a hard reset as soon as you get it to make sure it's safe?

Buy it from the maker....

Hope he didnt fall for the Uniswap airdrop scam (2nd / 3rd air drop) ive seen numberous times on Discord and other places.  Takes you to a page to enter your eth wallet seed.....

So ya know they can confirm you balance and send you your airdrop....er.....i mean so they can empty your eth wallet......

999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stolen ETH from my Ledger on: December 17, 2020, 01:43:08 PM
Im going to ask....

Did you recently do a ledger update?

If yes (last 6 weeks) Was this from within ledger Live software or did you get notification elsewere to update it?

There have been attacks where they send you email or sms or dm and inform you about a new version.  This is actually malware attack.   Only ever update Ledger from within the Ledger Live software itself.

hi,i did what u said and i am mining etc whit 124 mh/s for 4 cards thanks alot, but i am minig etheriom classic but  i have made a eth wallet with mew cx and gave its address to phoneix start bat file.i have mined 2 etc and i cant see them in my wallet.it shown 0.and in ethplorer my value for this addrees is two etc.can i transfer my funds to an etc walet or change in avalable

If you are mining ETC then you need to get an ETC wallet.  If you are mining ETH get an ETH wallet.  ETC is now different then ETH after a couple of weeks ago when ETC forked and changed its algo to get rid of ASICS and to allow 3gb cards to work by reducing the DAG size.  The new wallet may be an upgraded version of the one you have or an entirely difference one.  Currently i cant directly use my ledger nano wallet to access my ETC ... waiting on an update.  But if you have your seed ... wallet is easy to move.
