9882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet saids: “Stay Away From Bitcoin” on: June 25, 2015, 06:45:43 PM
i think he would change it's mind if Bitcoin would become a mainstream payment option.

He also said once he would not invest into technology companies (because he does not understand them).

Recently, he invested into IBM and plans to invest in three more tech companies.

Warren holds some stocks in Visa and Mastercard. Ironically, the founder of Visa is now a member of the advisory board of Xapo. Meanwhile Warren is too old to get with the times and become a main Bitcoin holder now that he would still be able to before it becomes too expensive.

Iceland’s Pirate Party Tops Opinion Polls, Leader Seeks to Create ‘Switzerland of Bits’

Iceland’s Píratar party, itself a spin-off of Sweden’s Pirates, has shot up in recent opinion polls, to the extent that, according to two recent surveys, they would even be the most popular party if elections were held today.

The dramatic shift in public taste in Iceland, which has had a right-of-center government for all but one term since World War Two, has clear implications for the status of disruptive instruments such as Bitcoin. Iceland became one of the few jurisdictions to ban digital currency outright in March 2014.

European Banks Rumored to be Monitoring and Reporting Transactions Related to Bitcoin

An anonymous Reddit user who self-identifies as bank employee posted a warning saying that his bank received a memo from the national financial institute, with instructions to report anyone who receives more than €1,000 that may be linked to Bitcoin.

Someone summed up the lost BTC only from the thread. In total BTC 134578.27864659
And this is likely just a particle of all lost coins.

By doing a Google search of Nanocore and Patrick 'PK' McDonnell, i have got one useful result what points to this thread  Grin
You should provide more information.
9888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt Marketplace & Freemarket - two decentralized ecommerce on: June 23, 2015, 07:42:09 PM
Thanks for sketching out both services. The services are completely decentralized and with upcoming smart contract feature on Nxt framework they will probably become full stack ecommerce options.
9889  Economy / Economics / Re: Euro's not fungible on: June 23, 2015, 07:30:06 PM
That is pretty interesting and concerning in the same way.
What i am wondering is, what about the bank notes that were printed in Greece but are owning by a other European holder? Can this bank note could be exchanged to a none Greek printed bank note? It's hard to believe.

I don't think so as long as the issuing power of Euro is controlled by the ECB. So all of the banks in European are treating the same status for different Euro. So is the merchants! What is your intention of creating panic here?

They print a Y infront of the serial number of Greek Euros and X-in front of the serial number for german Euro's.

This is by design of the central bank.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/11691232/I-am-going-on-holiday-to-Greece-should-I-avoid-Greek-euros.html

I am not 'creating panic' just stating it as it is, and making a personal comment after that.

Agree! i would go one step further by building some Bitcoin shopping cashback site. There are so many site for getting cashback in $ why not in Bitcoin.

Nice domain.
Why you not build something like "bitcoinget" which earn free bitcoin doing a task, complete offer, watch vid, and with faucet inside.

i would add NXT, Qora and Vericoin to your list. But try to find the best 15 or 20 coins. You will probably not find 50 coins that will have any bright future.

Reassuring news Smiley Bitcoin does not need more bad news regarding hacking after MtGox some time ago or scrypt.cc yesterday.

So finally they are back online. Here is the official announcement:

I was thinking that someone might have doxxed them, to steal the coins. Thankfully, at least in this case it doesn't seems so. So as of now, the coins belonging to the users are safe.  Grin

I know it is a tricky question. What do you think, how many Bitcoins are lost forever and are 'out of the network' by lost private keys?

It is a good depiction. I miss the path to earn Bitcoin by 'get paid for' services like Bitcoin buxes etc.

Really awesome  Shocked
What I missed to see is the wallet function. Will it be integrated into the shown web client or stays it still standalone?

We will try to make some video tutorials to guide you through the Qora web and the features that will be introduced with the forthcoming release.
Here is a short introduction video of the search engine and the blog.

Astonishing  Shocked

The search engine makes the whole qoraweb easy to explore! Qora does not only have the first decentralized web hosting but ...am I seeing correct??  Shocked The qorablog has a timeline and video snapshots?? That's way ahead from anything I've ever seen in cryptos till now!

And on top of that, the whole official website is hosted in qoraweb too as demonstrated at the end of the video?

@vrontis and all devs:1 million congrats!

9899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt and the rise to the top. on: June 23, 2015, 04:55:10 PM
...

When documented (or hyped) revenues actually start rolling in (InstantDEX, etc)...
Many Asset values will rise dramatically... and since both sides of Balance Sheet must be equal... NXT will rise...
If fact, even a few millions $$$ of revenue (real or hyped) could push NXT 500-1000% higher quickly.

....

Really good explanation. I have not seen it like a balance sheet so far, but when I thought about it then it makes absolutely sense. It opened my eyes a little more about the real potential of Nxt  Wink

Richtig Genesis Mining, jetzt erinnere ich mich wieder  Cheesy

Der Strom in Island ist meines Wissens sehr günstig, da er dort komplett aus Erdwärme gewonnen wird und davon ist in dem Land genug vorhanden. Also günstig und 100% grün. Ich meine sogar, irgendwann auf ner Newssite einen Artikel über einen Anbieter gelesen zu haben, der Miningrigs in Island vermietet.

Genesis Mining sitzt in Island Smiley
