10781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | 100% POS | Assets | Names | Voting | Automated Transactions on: April 22, 2015, 03:16:41 PM
The implementation of automated trusted feature seems to have no impact on the Qora price so far  Undecided Any ideas how to promote this feature to a wider range of people?
10782  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2 Servers, but what to do?? on: April 21, 2015, 08:28:53 PM
There are many altcoin bounties for running public nodes. With these servers you can run a couple of nodes and earn some bitcoins.

10785  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: April 21, 2015, 08:08:13 PM
Sure. I guess bitcointalk is using some kind of double IP detection system. So, this user also needs to use different IPs for different accounts. This is really a stressful job.

That depends if you participate in a signature campaign and you end up making 1500 posts per month you could potentially win more than a regular job but im pretty sure you would get banned for shitty posts because lets be honest, that much amount of posts is impossible to be constructive
10786  Other / Meta / Re: How is forum activity calculated? on: April 21, 2015, 08:06:23 PM
Thanks, that is exactly what I have looked for. I thought it would be calculated more trivial.  Cheesy

This equates to 14 days , 6 minutes , 40 seconds.

This means , after 3026 2 week periods , you would expect to gain 42364 activity.

But no , you would get only 42350 activity.

TLDR; Every 116 years you will lose out on 14 activity. Sad right ?

In order to make this thread more productive, here are some of the next timings :-

( All times in GMT )

12/9/2014 10:13:20
12/23/2014 10:20:00
1/6/2015 10:26:40
1/20/2015 10:33:20
2/3/2015 10:40:00

FAQs of the Activity system
(All of these can be found stickied in the Meta , but just in case)

Q : How is activity calculated ?

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

10787  Other / Meta / How is forum activity calculated? on: April 21, 2015, 06:39:47 PM
I am wondering how the forum activity value is calculated? In my case the activity mostly equals the number of my forum posts. But I saw some users which had around 500 posts and an activity of about 200.
10788  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: MultiBit Wallet Fehlermedlung... on: April 21, 2015, 06:30:08 PM

10789  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PayPal to OKPAY - exchange? on: April 21, 2015, 06:14:09 PM
You can also try to buy Bitcoins with Paypal and tranfer the Bitcoins to OKPay. There you can exchange them for fiat money again. I did it like this some time ago.
10790  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: April 21, 2015, 06:08:39 PM
farming account for selling it in the future is not against forum rules, but that user had been banned because all of his accounts spamming in the forums with nonsense posts
and moderator find out that he has over 50 accounts
that's crazy thing in my opinion Cheesy

Actually, it's a good business idea  Grin But you need much time to maintain all those accounts and build them up. A regular job brings more money.
10791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 Million people use Bitcoin today according to XAPO's CEO on: April 21, 2015, 05:49:06 PM
This would mean every user owns about one Bitcoin on average. I doubt this information. If there would be 12 mln users the price per coin would be much higher.
10792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: HZ/NXT assetparser.py - overview of all the assets, lots of measured observables on: April 21, 2015, 05:44:33 PM
Have you released the source code somewhere? Is it free to change? I would like to use and extend it a little bit to show more information.
10793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Educational proof of work on: April 21, 2015, 05:39:18 PM
...But they have lot of free time and they are quite unwise too generally...

I stopped reading after this sentence. Have you ever met poor people? Have you seen that they have a lot of time? Most of the poor people work very hard to survive. Probably not always for money but for food and clothes. They usually work harder than the most of the people in the first world.
10794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: April 21, 2015, 05:31:08 PM
I am wondering whether someone has ever seen something more beautiful in crypto currency world than this? I guess not!  Cool

You should make a own thread in Altcoin Discussion section for this to show more people how good and equal distributed the coin is. Not many people will see it in this thread.

This in NEM's beautiful distribution.  (two large bubbles in the center are both Poloniex.)

And this is why the bubble chart above is sooooo important in the years to come.  https://youtu.be/x23C1sQg6wQ

Seriously, I challenge anybody to show me a better distribution amongst any crypto, or even anything really that deals with financial systems.
10795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UNIT] CarbonCredit | NO ICO | SAVE THE WORLD on: April 21, 2015, 05:27:01 PM
By the way. UNIT short is already taken by SuperNET tokens. Some exchanges may refuse to list your coin.
10796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UNIT] CarbonCredit | NO ICO | SAVE THE WORLD on: April 21, 2015, 05:25:02 PM
Too much missing information in the first post. No one will trust this coin. Please give more information to be taken as a serious project.
10797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS. Litecoin on: April 21, 2015, 05:22:10 PM
Litecoin is no competitor to Bitcoin. Further it is not even a competitor of some of the top 10 coins. The high market cap still remains from history matters.

1. Bitcoin

2. Huh Litecoin will have 84mln coins in total, whereas Bitcoin will have 21mln

3. Bitcoin

4. IMHO SHA-256 is better than Scrypt
10798  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: faucet on: April 21, 2015, 05:18:46 PM
There are hundreds of faucets out there. Some are valuable the time you spend, some are not.
Many of them are already empty.
I recommend to use a faucet rotater like http://www.btcfaucetlist.net/rotator.php to start.
10799  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: April 21, 2015, 05:16:09 PM
I am using Multibit and Electrum on different operating system for different Bitcoin actions. Additionally, I use a cold wallet to store some BTC long term.
10800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinimal: the very first BTC startup to offer Neteller payments on: April 21, 2015, 05:14:18 PM
Cool, I still have some Dollars on my Neteller account from former selling activities. Finally, an opportunity to exchange it into something more valuable commodity  Cheesy
