10801  Economy / Economics / Re: Be very patient, Greek payment drama to continue beyond 2050 on: April 21, 2015, 05:11:38 PM
I am pretty sure it will not last until 2050. It will end this year in a big bang what is the start of the end of the Euro Zone. Would be the best for whole Europe.

10803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: April 21, 2015, 05:07:11 PM
 Shocked
Seems to me that someone uses the cheap price to get into Nxt. I should not wonder if there are some big investors watching Nxt.

Just because a lot of people like looking at numbers on screen and attaching significance to them...  Grin

Someone has converted 300 bitcoins to mgwBTC through Nxt's Multigateway exchange. And now they are trying to convert them all to Nxt  Shocked

As you can see, they want 9 million NXT in exchange for the BTC. So we may have a new floor price. Or not  Grin But there is definitely 300 BTC within Multigateway, currently patiently hoping to become NXTs

Blitz looks really great and user friendly. I'll try it on my mobile phone. Keep up to good work!
10805  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: April 21, 2015, 05:01:59 PM
Governments have already started to monitor the rise of bitcoins, once bitcoin gets mainstream enough, the value and market cap of bitcoin will increase significantly, then will come the time when the world powers will see it as a major force of economy, some will resist it and some will adapt to it.

Thats true. That's why so many enterprises do research in the field of Bitcoin and related stuff. But, I think the breakthrough will not come that quick. Bitcoin is still hard to understand and to handle for 99,9% of the people.

Next dev move is writing the whitepaper and releasing that. I am writing an academic paper for a conference as well.

In the future, we will be releasing whitepapers on specific features more regularly, rather than waiting for a huge release and then having to write so much at once. We are working on another whitepaper for a new feature now.

Also, we are working on a series of short stories--NEM in 2020--to showcase how our platform can be used in daily life when the features are complete.

Sounds good. Looking forward to see more whitepapers and plans for NEM released.
10808  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Erfahrungen mit Anycoindirect.eu? on: April 21, 2015, 04:39:18 PM
Hallo,

Thx, I got my second payment. Great sig ad campaign. Keep it up!  Grin
10810  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: April 19, 2015, 03:58:53 PM
It depends on the coin I want to trade. I usually trade on Poloniex and Cryptsy (formerly also on Bter). Whereas Cryptsy had some problems on withdrawals the last time, so I switched over to test Bittrex but it has not convinced me so far.
I hope for InstandDEX as part of SuperNET, the first decentralized exchange especially for security reasons.
10811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find developers for your altcoin? on: April 19, 2015, 02:19:27 PM
If you have a good idea you will always find developers and fellow campaigners for your coin. But usually, new altcoin creations are just copies of some other coins bringing nothing new to the cryptocoin world.
10812  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: April 19, 2015, 02:17:17 PM
Actually there is a good market for used accounts. Most buyers want to use them for signature campaigns where they can get up to 0.2 BTC weeks for Sr. Member / Hero Member level. Thus, it makes sense to pay up to BTC1 for an old account. But there are also scamers which are new and want to give the impression of being very experienced. There were some altcoins announcements in the past from accounts which were sold closely before.

I don't understand why anyone would want to buy an old account unless the use is for sig campaign spam or some other nefarious scam.
10813  Economy / Economics / Re: What kind of affect would another global recession have on Bitcoin? on: April 19, 2015, 10:03:04 AM
I agree with you.
But I guess the most people would invest into Gold or Silver first.
A few very wealthy people would also invest into alternatives like Bitcoin. The effect on Bitcoin would be noticeable.

it depends on how the average non tech people think about it. if they really think they can benefit from converting their fiat to bitcoin then they surely will. but at this point it's not that easy as the media most of the times is very negative about bitcoin.

In case of a recession, people will generally prioritize safety.
They would prefer to hold fiat, rather than invest in equities or risky assets like Bitcoin.
10814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of coins based on Nxt source code on: April 19, 2015, 09:26:51 AM
@gjhiggins: Thanks for that great list! There bases more coins on the Nxt source code than I originally thought.
10815  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Umweltfreundlichste Altcoin? on: April 19, 2015, 08:59:44 AM

10816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET trades on Poloniex as UNITY, asset id 12071612744977229797 on: April 19, 2015, 08:55:03 AM
The installer gives you the chance to use an existing blockchain rather to download the whole stuff again when it is already there.
Also, more and more people are downloading the blockchain seperately to save time.

When installing supernet for the 1st time,
the installer asked me for a location of 'nxt_db',

- and (I thought cleverly) I chose my existing ...nxt\nxt_db folder, with the 'nxt.h2.db', etc.

Was that a bad idea perhaps?

10817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: April 19, 2015, 08:51:05 AM
I've recently talked to someone who is exactly speculating for this.
He expects a price decrease of up to 10 to 15 sats.
Looks we will see new alltime low next days.

Just wondering the price of NEM is low these days because:
1. Some sockpuppets and late Stake redeemers were allowed recently to have their Stakes redeemed.
2. Or such redemptions are yet pending? And the reason is something else??

i think the first distribution of late claimed stakes is tomorrow so the current drop could be attributed to people speculating on an incoming dump.. reason for general low prices im not sure..
10818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should LOTTOCOIN change to POS? on: April 19, 2015, 08:49:05 AM
As far as I know, Lottocoin uses Scrypt algorithm.

Someone recently asked me the same thing with a different POW Coin.

What kind of algo is lottocoin?

I voted for POS, too. IMHO, POS is the future. Saves energy and gives everyone the chance to find blocks rather then POW where you need big mining farms over time.
10819  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Was haltet ihr vom SuperNET? on: April 18, 2015, 10:18:32 PM
http://nxter.org/category/supernet/

Leider konnte James keine einzige meiner Fragen jemals beantworten.
