10822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa or Australia on: April 18, 2015, 09:54:25 PM
Just do a google search like "youtube bitcoin africa" and you will see that Bitcoin grows in Africa more than in other world regions.
I think it is because Africans have more to win. The most national currencies there are very unstable and have high inflation rates.
Bitcoins and crypto coins in common are a good way to keep the value of their earnings and savings.

The buy wall volume is back at almost 50 BTC on Poloniex.
When I took a look the last time it was at around 20.
Something that let me hope!
10824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I buy stock with colored coins? on: April 18, 2015, 08:29:57 PM
Nxt has implemented colored coins what is called the Nxt Monetary System

10826  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: April 18, 2015, 08:16:00 PM
You can set coinomat signature ad program to status "paying". I got the first payment just as other participating members got.

10828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Exec Jumps On Board Ripple Labs on: April 18, 2015, 08:10:08 PM
Why is it good for Bitcoin if some executive is joining Ripple??? It is not even good for the crypto coin scene because Ripple is no real crypto coin. It is something between a crypto coin and Paypal.
10829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should LOTTOCOIN change to POS? on: April 18, 2015, 06:49:31 PM
I can't believe this coin still exists. I invested some BTC into Lottocoin two years ago before development was getting stuck. Then it was delisted from coinmarketcap and I tought this would be the end. A real resurgence  Grin

This is the wrong section for this. Post such announcements into the Project Development section.
10831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's say satoshi is cashing out 1million BTC on: April 18, 2015, 03:54:58 PM
I am more interested in the question, why is Satoshi hodling a such huge amount of Bitcoins? Does he still own the private key or are there any particular plans for it when Bitcoin will reach the mass?
10832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Storing Bitcoin on: April 18, 2015, 03:48:10 PM
Simply use a cold storage wallet to store Bitcoins long-term. It is the most secure way so far. Don't store it in a wallet from coinbase or blockchain.info.
10833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: April 18, 2015, 02:09:04 PM
The certificate should be renewed. It is not very trustworthy when new users visit the wiki and the first they got to see is a red flagged security message.

I just want to let you know that I checked Nxt wiki and I am getting a SSL error by opening the site. It says the certificate is not valid any longer.

Yep. It is expired.
10834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of coins based on Nxt source code on: April 18, 2015, 01:47:35 PM
Oh okay  Cheesy I thought I read somewhere that NODE is based on Nxt. Haven't NFD and HZ fusioned source code recently?

NODE is not based on NXT and is a new source code. NFD and HZ are based on NXT.

10836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / List of coins based on Nxt source code on: April 18, 2015, 01:38:44 PM
I want to get a list which coins are based on the original source code of Nxt. All I know is that NAS and Node are based on Nxt. Are there more? Is there a list somewhere?
10837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How ow to identify a potential bad buyer on: April 18, 2015, 01:33:56 PM
Currently, the best option is to use an trusted escrow. It is nearly impossible to check the identity and trustworthiness of members on the board.
10838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are all cryptos smothering? on: April 18, 2015, 01:29:59 PM
Bitcoin - $3.1bn, XRP - $256mn, Litecoin - $54mn.

Crypto is smothering.

Are we in danger of falling below critical mass?

What needs to be done to allow us to BREATH again?

What do you mean with falling below critical mass? Who defines what such a critical mass for cryptos is?
Think back some years when Bitcoin was only worth a couple of cents. Nobody took care about trading volume or something like a critical mass.
10839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you introduce Bitcoin to your friends and family? on: April 18, 2015, 01:15:44 PM
I've already tried to introduce Bitcoin for some of my non-techie friends and family members. The thing is if they don't see an option to use Bitcoin in their daily life they lose interest very fast. And for longterm investment, the risk is too high for them.
10840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin Presale to start April 28 on: April 18, 2015, 01:11:04 PM
Here we are. The people are ready to invest into a new Paycoin-like ICO again. The price for NeuCoin is completely irrational.
