10841  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin value in exchanges vs. its value in the real economy on: April 18, 2015, 01:07:25 PM
The value depends on the acceptance as a payment option. Because Bitcoin is not widely accepted for payment yet there is much space for value increase. Actually the real value depends on what the people are ready to pay for it.
10842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to Get captchas ? on: April 18, 2015, 01:02:10 PM
Most faucets use Google captcha library. You can find more free captchas libs here http://tympanus.net/codrops/2009/09/22/21-free-captcha-sources/

If you want to get paid for solving captchas you can implement the service of http://solvemedia.com

It is still high volume compared to the less information the developers provide to the public. Why should someone invest into a project where nobody knows where the development will go to.

Wow, 9 BTC 24h volume for NEM!! WTF!!

10846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes coins fail? on: April 18, 2015, 09:27:22 AM
The most coins which failed so far were purley scamcoins, cheap copies of Bitcoins source code that were set up only to make quick profit for their founders. All serious coin projects are still alive and prosper.

After everything is settling up again, what are the future plans for NAS? Any roadmap and are there any unique features planned?
10848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this been done? Coin for a US Town on: April 17, 2015, 11:49:54 PM
Bake your coin with Bitcoin, gold or a other stable coin (the Nxt monetary system provides such a feature). Then it could be successfull. But I guess there will not be much trust into this coin.

Could be possible. The pattern is the same. He left the project shortly after he released the source code.

10850  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Possible attack on bitocoind in 2011? on: April 17, 2015, 11:38:07 PM
It's also mentioned in the pleading of his lawyers. I think it is part of the defense and there is no real background behind the bitcoind attack statement.

10852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] The Shadow Project | Anon POS | Ring Sigs | Decentralized MarketPlace (w) on: April 17, 2015, 11:06:54 PM
I will keep an eye on the results. If anon tech reviewing is okay then there will be some extra BTCs on the buy wall  Cool Cool

How costly is it to send messages within the client?

Are there any independent audits of the SDC anon tech?

Not exactly, but the code is open sourced.  There is a review ongoing by a German guy named Isidor Zeuner.  He is supposed to be mathematically qualified to review it.  But its taking a while, and he has asked for more documentation in order to finish the review.  The devs are working on more documentation, but they are very busy pressing forward on more important issues, so it may be a while before it is completed.  If there is anyone else who would like to undertake a peer-review I am sure it would be much welcomed.

Nxt is the only coin project that constantly delivers what they've promised.

10856  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: April 17, 2015, 08:16:41 PM
government is already adapting and working with banks, there are some of them which are using blockchain technology to overcome probably bitcoin

i doubt it will stay there and watch bitcoin sucking its fiat(scam) currency

Do you mean there are banks that already use the blockchain technology in production environment? If so, can you point to some articles or press releases which state this? I know only from some banks researching on blockchain technology (e.g. UBS).
10857  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Mobile] Android Faucet Application, simple and instant payment on: April 17, 2015, 08:13:00 PM

10858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Java APP for earn satoshi on: April 17, 2015, 07:47:18 PM
It sounds pretty like a visitor exchange software tool. There are already some out there to earn some $-Cents. But they are not worth the work because you constantly need to focus on the site rotator and enter captcha to earn some cents or satoshis.
10859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcoin and want to play with some... on: April 17, 2015, 07:08:56 PM
Sure, but it is not likely to win many mBTCs there because there are too many players which competing for releatively low free roll prices. And you need to be a good player or much luck  Smiley

Well, a lot of these gaming sites have free games and free roll tournaments in poker. So, if you like to play the games, and are decent at them or improving you can earn a few satoshis this way. Also, games like poker and stuff are social, so there's that element. Seems way more fun to me than a faucet Smiley

We are soft launching our new site tonight. Check it out!

 Cool

The point is when using faucets you earn Bitcoins. When using game sites you lose Bitcoins highly likely. That's the secret  Wink
