2  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Quais tecnologias secretas o governo possui? on: Today at 06:26:41 PM

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering casino bonus on: Today at 11:27:56 AM
Few weeks ago I got some nice non deposit casino bonus on BC.game worth about 20 USD. I received similar bonuses before and I never had any success with them as the wagering requirement was pretty high (30x wagering requirement in order to have control of the funds). I tried different strategies such as wagering with dice, plinko and similar games with high return rate, but always I ran out of funds before even making half of the requirement.

Last time I had more luck, by playing slots I managed to multiply my bonus funds to around 50 USD (I had big luck there) and after that I wagered the rest with plinko. In the end I managed to wager the bonus with 17 USD left.

Had someone similar experience? To be honest I received bonuses quite a few times and this is only time I managed to wager it completely.

Dude, I've never really taken advantage of these bonus. In fact, I dont usually use this so much and I also receive very little bonus... maybe because I usually play just small amounts.
But that is exactly what you said... no deposit bonus that seem very attractive but almost come with very big requirements to making it difficult to convert them into a withdrawal balance.

For those looking for fun this is very great, as it means free games without the need to deposit more money. But for those looking to unlock this... I think the trick is look for games with an higher RTP and adequate risk... but I don ot think there is a fool proof strategy to unlocking this balance. I've always see these bonuses as an opportunity to prolong my entertainment, but I've never been able to convert them into a balance.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a form of Mental Sports on: Today at 11:18:47 AM
The concept of gambling as a form of mental sports refers to the deployment of mental strength in some skill-based games and without physical display of strength or fitness.

Games like Chess, Blackjack, poker and even Sports betting fits in this criterion since professionals employ some good strategies, calculations and even critical analysis before taking the decision on your next line of action. These mental involvements stretch your mind and success in them is a product of strategy, constant practice, psychology and accurate decision under pressure.

It is true... and it is not wonder that many of these high level players spend much or more time as any others "traditional" athletes to preparing their minds before a game.

I just think you need to be careful about one difference... in games like chess, winning or losing doesn ot involve the direct risk of financial loss. In gambling, however, this is always present and thats why I think the "nature" of the practice changes significantly... or are you going to tell me that the pressure of money does not distort your rational analysis or lead you to make impulsive and emotional decisions? I am sure it do!

I see them as different factors... one where mental ability still predominates (poker, ches...) and another where luck inevitably dominates (gambling).
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which can be more addicting? on: September 18, 2025, 10:48:32 AM
Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?

If you place bets every day, your brain might get too used to it even if it is just a small amount but betting less frequently but with bigger amounts of money may lead you to be emotionally attached to that money and may feel extremely happy to win and extremely disappointed to lose.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?

Both Grin
Look... I think both has potential to be triggers, but neither is more dangerous than a weak mind.

But, if I had to choose between them, I wolud say that the constant habit is more dangerous because a problem with it is when we give our brain that daily dose of excitement every day that, with repetition and time ends up becoming something automatic, dangerous, something that silently installs itself and, if we arent careful ends up taking over us until we no longer realize how conditioned we are to "need" to do it every days.

But sporadic and high stakes bets are also dangerous too... I think they have a much greater emotional impact: win brings a euphoria that can be difficult to control, making us yearn for more bets... and losing can bring deep frustration and a desire to recoup losses.

In any case, its addictive... it depends a lot on the profile of person, strong emotional control and discipline to avoid falling into addiction. But I've already answered your question... I think the constant habit is more vicious.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to avoid cashing out your game on: September 18, 2025, 10:21:39 AM
So I had this bad experience where I played Real Madrid to win, arsenal to win and Juventus to win or draw and so the first game, been arsenal entered and then Real Madrid and Juventus started the same time and so I was following them up and I played the game NGN 5000 to win NGN32000. There was an extent I followed the game up I was angry the way Juventus was playing, once they equalize union giloise will score and it was annoying so at 90 minutes I cash out NGN 400 because I was so angry only for me to check back and saw 4:4 that was the most annoying part and I think if I would have gone to bed I wouldn't have cash out the game. So I think most times the only way to avoid this is by going to bed and forget about it but sometimes you need to stay up to monitor the game.

What do you guys think?

So, I think the problem here is not when you withdraw early or not withdraw, because there are situations when withdraw early is actually a good decision to guarantee a return before the risk increases further... but I think the main problem is that you abandon a previousli defined strategy and act with an impulse, letting yourself be carried away by a momentary emotion (in your case, anger). This usually leads to a tragic end result.

My opinion is this: if you have a clear strategy, stick with it until the end... stick to it and only change course if you truly have good intuition and a cool head to consider whether this is the best outcome at the moment and if it's wise to change your strategy... fear or frustration won't help you make a better decision... act coolly and calculatedly.

I think the key to achieving good results lies in emotional control... it is worth much more than any isolated "cash out."

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 1% of disposable income goes to gambling – Too Much or Normal? on: September 17, 2025, 11:23:34 AM
In Sweden, the gambling regulator reported that almost 1% of disposable income went to gambling in 2024, about €2.5B total. Most of it came from online casinos and betting. Disposable income BTW is ( salary - taxes + benefits).

For comparison:

Australia – often cited as the highest per capita gambling spend, closer to 3–4% of disposable income in some year
UK – sits roughly around 0.7–0.9%, depending on the measure
Philippines – it's hard to measure because of offshore/illegal markets... ( not well regulated)

This 1% may seem be small, but in reality... I think that on national scale it is huge. It has a huge economic and social impact because we are still talk about billions being spent at something that no generates return for players other than entertainment.

But you know what I think? The problem is not even this overall number but rather the inequality within it... many people spend only a few euros or dollars at gambling, but a large portion also have serious gambling problems and spend a big more... they spend an amount that's quite disproportionate to average and this greatly distorts the perception of what should be a "normal" number.

So, I do not know... but I think the important thing isnt the overall percentage, but rather how this spending is distributed within the "protection" mechanisms that exist to raise awareness, reduce harm, provide treatment to addicts, and others
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the four Es of gambling on: September 17, 2025, 11:14:02 AM
i found a research which identified four psychological traits contributing to risk for problem gambling. these are the four Es: escape, esteem, excess and excitement.

escape: when people try to find an escape from stress and all their other problems through gambling, more problem arises and addiction happens
esteem: when people try to find their value through materialistic things and wins in gambling, addiction happens
excess: when people gamble excessively, that is when addiction happens
and excitement: people get excitement from gambling and they no longer know how to stop and that's when addiction happens

this is my understanding of the four Es. do you agree or no?

Yes, I agree and this make a lot of sense... I just want to add that they are unlikely to appear on isolation at gamblers, like... those seeking an escape end up engaging on excess or getting carried away by excitement. There are several factors that is closely interconnected, and one will always "feed" the other and making addiction a very strong cycle of dependence... I think that is why its so difficult to cure.

And you see... these characteristics are not an exclusive to gambling, but rather a pattern found in any other addiction, and I think that's good because it allows it to be treated by any professional... it doesnt need to be a psychologist specializing at gambling addiction, right?

Anyway... a known problem and an addiction like any other... it has its particularities, but it is treatable like any other... just require dedication from those who want to break free and the guidance of a good professional.

14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First thing you will do if you win big time in a Casino? on: September 16, 2025, 10:57:46 AM
I just saw this one and I am really amaze on what he did.

A casino guest just won over $1.3 million… and the first thing he did? Call his mom.
At FireKeepers Casino in Michigan, the guest hit the venue’s largest jackpot ever. But instead of celebrating alone, he grabbed his phone and told his mom: “Momma, we are out of the hood. We’re leaving tomorrow.” That emotional call went viral because it wasn’t about luxury, it was about finally giving his family a safer, better life.
Sometimes the biggest wins aren’t about money, they’re about the people you love most.

1.3 MILLION Casino Win

Look... this person can do many things, but there are only one thing they should not do.... back to gambling with the ambition of double their winnings and end up losing a good money of what they won or even returning all to the casino.
Some people say that you need a very good mindset to avoid spend more money than you can afford, but I think it is more harder to control your emotions when you win a lot of money... keep your head at straight, stop gambling, think clearly and don't do anything stupid by impulse.

Regarding winnings, everyone has their own way of dealing with them. I think it is great when someone think not about only luxury but also about to provide security or a better quality of life to their family, just as there are those who decide to pay off their debts, pay off loans, and live a normal but "peaceful" life even if there's nothing left to enjoy later... nothing is worth more than the feeling of sleeping soundly knowing you don't owe anyone anything.
15  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Nova stablecoin da Tether, a USAT on: September 15, 2025, 06:52:40 PM

16  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Esse governo é um lixo on: September 15, 2025, 06:41:02 PM

Estamos ferrados!!!
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is in position to feel the regret? on: September 15, 2025, 10:52:00 AM
Mystery in the uncertainty of gambling and cashout. A friend of mine is regretting why he cash out his game that was supposed to give him a historical huge winning but he cash out halfway to avoid regrets which earned him little profits but at the end the games played all.
In my own experience, i was overconfident that my games would play successfully just after the teams I had my doubts on was able to win. So I take the rest few games common and hopefully to win easily but the games cut and I lost it all even while I had the opportunity for over 70% cash out.

Since last week this incident occured, my friend had been a complaint still feeling that chances he would had made it big win if not for his cash out.
So I am to ask, between me and my friend who is in position to feel this regrets regarded that I won nothing and he made some cash out ?

Its a double edged sword, so there isnt right or wrong... both scenarios can lead to regret, but in a very cold-hearted way I would say this: His regret is psychological, yours is psychological but also financial... so which is worse?

Until its all over, the unpredictable can always take control and change plans, so I think you and your friends should be much more concerned with how to define rules to exit bets than with "who has more reasons to regret". Situations like this will always happen, so it is best for you to exit knowing the consequences and resigned to living "in peace" if things dont go as planned.

I do not think you or he made a mistake, you just made different decisions faced with the same uncertainty. Forget about it now and focus on the next bet... what strategy will you adopt so that this time you will be more comfortable with the final outcome?
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best way to gamble? on: September 15, 2025, 10:44:09 AM
Gambling is actually meant to increase what you have staked with, like you aim to increase the worth of money you have. If gambling is about to increase your money, do we gamble gradually or we have to take the risk by increasing our stake since it is the purpose that we are gambling, which is to make profit.

If you gamble gradually, it won't guarantee your winning and if you increase your stake it won't either. If you increase your risk and win, you will know that you have really gambled and if you also lose as you increase your risk, you also know that you have gambled.

So is gambling really for a gradual process or is gradual way of gambling is for the weak minds in gambling. I have not seen a gradual gambler who doesn't take risk that has made really big win.

So what is the point? What do you say?

So... I think the goal here is: "What is the real purpose of player?" and not this idea that gradual bets is for the weak and large ones is for the strong...
For those who aim to have fun and have a controlled gaming experience, then gradual betting make more sense because allows them more downtime, better manages losses and builds financial control... there is nothing weak about that.

And if the goal is to "get rich" (I wish these adventurers luck), then you really need to increase the risk, because only those who take risks achieve glorious results, as long as they are aware of these risks and willing to break the bank at any moment.

Everyone has their limits, everyone has their goals. There isnt such thing as weak or strong, but rather different types of people and their ambitions. The only unacceptable thing is to gamble without being aware of the risks.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling an Indicator of the Health of the Digital Economy? on: September 13, 2025, 10:52:16 PM
Man, I even agree of gambling can be an indirect sign of a healthy economy in some country because it shows liquidity, real currency use, adoption of new technologies and even a pattern at people's consumption... but I dont consider it a good method to measure health economic.

See if I am right in my thinking... First, because an high volume of bets doesn ot mean anything are fine, but rather that people are search an "escape" through in gambling when job opportunities are lacking. And I not mention people's addiction (which is high in gambling), which can also distort this significantl beacause not everyone who gambles is financially well off... its usually quite the opposite.

I think the gambling has revolutionized the way of people spend money in many countryes and this can be used by other sectors as a "learning tool", but I dont see a direct connection between it and a healthy economy.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you gamble? on: September 13, 2025, 10:41:09 PM
This is simple but it's very important to know why we are gambling. Many people takes gambling as a place to make additional money while gambling, while some people pretends to have said it's a place to catch cruise or ease stress whenever are they are bored.

Usually, almost 98.9 percent of people gambling to make money and even though they all pretended to say that they're gambling to ease stress or seeing it as an entertainment purposes only I would say they are really deceiving themselves because everyone are trying their luck but, the most important thing over there is that one must gamble with what they can afford to lose that is why many people are saying that they took it as an entertainment purposes.

There are some of truth in your view of gambling, but you are wrong to generalize it by sayng that every people "pretend to be having fun".

If you say that the mere fact of money is involved were enough to negate the recreational aspect of something, then... and playing poker with our friends betting chips is purely to make money? playing a match of pool and betting the next round its just for the money? playing soccer with your workmates and betting its just for the money? Not for me Tongue

The primary purpose can and shoulder always to be fun and the fact that we involve money doesnt make it an "investment." I thing that your argument doesnt make sense. Its possible to enjoy gambling through the excitement, the interaction with other people and to use money as just a "spice" to make everything more exciting, without having to leave the day with more money than you came in.

If I have fun in gambling even if it was all of it, than the money taht I spent was a good investment... as long as it was made consciously, of course.
