1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino companies' responsibilities to rehabilitation institutions on: June 13, 2024, 06:06:42 PM
Gambling addiction is not like drug addiction, the individual who is addicted to gambling is still functional for society while the one who is addicted to drugs is not functional for society. And i don't think the gambler should be sent to a "farm" to recover, he only need to stay away from casinos and keep moving on with his personal life, focus on the job and focus on the family, that's all.

I have never seen a gambler addicted in a special place for recovery, i don't even think that exists.
I think it depends only in the addict or their severity because I already saw some drug addicts before, who still can talk, walk, and do other things that a normal people can do. There might also be addicted gamblers, who are like losing their minds already and not functional anymore.

Addicted gambler being sent to the farm sounds funny at first but then I realized that it was actually beneficial. Even the normal people likes to go there too, especially if they are really stressed out. It can help them calm their minds. Special place for addicts do exist. What about the rehabilitation centre? If stopping their addiction on their own is hard, then this is the best place for them.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling losses are traps to new game on: June 13, 2024, 05:14:31 PM
We have to be poetically responsible, whenever we get excited in the game we fall into simple traps, childish traps, like chasing losses when we have lost a lot of money, the other thing is that other types of events can occur, such as staying up late playing in a casino, leaving drunk, all this about alcoholic drinks in a casino is for that, to make you lose control, concentration and control is what should characterize us in order not to lose our way, I think that if a person has good consideration for that, he will not have to worry about anything in the future when he is in a Casino.
A responsible human being wouldn't do anything bad even if they are involved in something that isn't generally considered very good. Many people think of gambling as an activity that can be harmful to anyone which is not true because it all depends on how you handle it and whether you have enough patience and self-control to stay in control at all times.

Responsible people don't get addicted to gambling or alcohol or do things that can be financially or mentally harmful for them. You might see a responsible person gambling in a casino, but you wouldn't see them drinking and losing control over themselves and then becoming completely reckless with their bets and even their body or behaviour which is a bad thing because one should be under control at all times.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: June 13, 2024, 03:59:51 PM
Teens got bullied at school, they face stress during exams, some have fear to confess they did something bad, many manipulate others and harass them online, and so on. What I am saying, that kids or teens today already experience a huge bunch of emotions, but many see them as silly little kids that cant control emotions. Until gambling became so available thanks to gadgets, teenagers already experienced emotional breakdowns at age of 15-17. And people cared little about it, and advices just to wait. 10-20 years passes, and people create a huge problem from teens and gambling, due to "they dont know how express their emotions, they might be emotionally unstable to resist gambling losses". What do you think about that ? Like previously kids did not gamble? Like previously kid did not have emotions.
So, you are trying to say that just because they go through a lot, they should get a free pass to gamble. Is that right? I don't agree with that. I know and agree with everything you say that they face a lot of problems and issues in their lives and sometimes people don't believe them or listen to them but that wouldn't justify it if they start gambling just because of their problems because this would mean they are increasing their problems and not solving them.

Someone who already face a lot of problems should try and find a way to solve those problems, if children or teenagers don't have the courage to share everything with their elders, they aren't supposed to start doing something that can be even more harmful than the other problems they have in the long run.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is web3 casino the new trend for casinos? on: June 13, 2024, 01:56:41 PM
Permit me to use th case of mixers, that lead the authorities to bring down three different mixers because they feel it was majorly used to clean stolen money.
You pointed out a relevant example, although there's a huge difference between a mixer and a non regulated casino as mixers job is to mixed the coins so it will be untraceable, or hard to trace, at least. So in terms of the authorities doing their job, if they can't regulate a casino, they'll just likely ban it, but they'll also look the impact of the casino itselt on how big they had catered already, just like the mixers, they only targetted the bigger ones.
Anything that they think can be used to launder money will either be banned or regulated. Mixers were free from everything for a while until they got the attention of the authorities and then they started cracking them down one by one, if there are casinos that promote web3 technology and decentralization, I'm sure they will be their next targets because they can't let people use decentralized services because they doubt criminals can misuse such things to benefit from them.

Even though they can be right and a person might be able to use a web3 casino platform to launder or mix their money, it doesn't come off as a good thing for us normal users because we do want to have some freedom but they are not going to allow us to have that and they will regulate every single place promoting freedom.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: The choice of investment is dependent on your region of residency. on: June 12, 2024, 06:08:10 PM
The choice of investment is dependent on your region of residency
That's definitely true and I can confirm this from my own experience,  compared to friends of different regions, everyone is different when it comes to the way of investing money.
First, when it comes to me living in 3rd world country, it is very hard for me to save some money for investment, the salaries here are very low and not sufficient to afford your day spendings or to keep some money for investment.
Second, while my friends living in other countries, they have salaries where they can save some money and afford their spendings.

Conclusion, to invest money you first need to have enough money for your spendings and taxes. The remaining money, you have a choice to spend it else where or you invest it in something else up to your region.
It is sad to say that the condition of our country is not different from your country, inflation is very high, and daily expenses are so high that a salaried person is forced to take a loan at the end of the month. In this case, it seems impossible to think about saving and doing business, and besides, if someone has money, then first of all, you have to see what is legal and what is not, if you are such a professional or if you adopt a job which is not legal, then the government makes your life miserable and you go further down, you can even lose your life savings, so it is true that every country's trade is domestic.

I can only hope for a better future and hope that the hardships we face are not the same for the next generation, otherwise, as many people have emigrated from this country and made their fortunes. Our generations will have to leave here as they have settled in other developed countries to build a future. The government should think about it and understand that such situations are not only harmful to the people but also to the government and the country. That country can never develop, so the government should provide such facilities and reduce inflation to a minimum.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 12, 2024, 05:16:22 PM
I am also happy to hear that Erik ten Hag will stay with Manchester United after winning the FA Cup. Since he is not leaving Manchester United but is staying, it must be a good decision. Manchester United is still a young team, and they have enough good players in their squad and if they can bring in some more good players then the squad will be more complete. Although not faring well this season, Manchester United have certainly seen a lot of progress as they have qualified for the FA Cup. The team is still very strong as we have seen Man United win the FA Cup after beating the mighty Manchester City. However, I think that Erik ten Hag will be able to succeed if every player is trained well next season.
There are mix reaction about this with still things are not clear because we are having media already talked Pochettino is going to have this job and few are expecting Thomas Tuchel is new coach but now suddenly media is talking about extension about Eric ten Hag mean no certainty, and we can have few more changes in coming days even we all know after the win of FA Cup something this was coming but Manchester United which is having services of one of the players in club world fail to keep things at their best is strange and mostly were feeling coach fail to bring results as expected but now giving extension mean something is cooking.

Whether this good or bad decision time will be best judge about this but as we have last few seasons there are no positive hopes for the Eric Ten Hag to have better results because he is having not good strategy for handling this all.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The BTC stability on: June 12, 2024, 12:52:02 PM
I think BTC is very volatile to use it as a value reserve of a big company or a country. But it is awesome seeing its capability to speculate and invest in long term. Today I watched a video on YouTube a rich man saing that BTC is 80% of his patrimony. I think it can be dangerous. And all of you? Also are all in?
Suppose you have 80-90% of your capital invested in Bitcoin and you go to sleep and wake up in the morning to see that the value of Bitcoin has dropped from $70,000 to $15,000. Because you have already invested 80% to 90% of your capital in Bitcoin, you don't even have 10% left to buy Bitcoin or to meet your living needs, so what option do you have? So how long can you wait if Bitcoin doesn't go back up for a full year or two years as it has done in the past then what option do you have left other than to sell obviously at a loss?

If so, a person should be wise and invest 20-30 percent in Bitcoin and the rest in some other project or business so that if he loses from one place, he will gain from another place. There is nothing that can guarantee that life will be rainy or profitable forever, so a person should invest in a well-thought-out and well-planned manner. They do it to make money or to double or triple your money so we must make wise decisions. It's not good to invest all your money in something and regret it later. I'm not in favor of it at all, no matter how reliable it is, but to me, it's just stupidity.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: June 12, 2024, 05:14:51 AM
But when a gambler engages in irresponsible gambling he will see it not as a joy but as a bane of his life. An addicted gambler or an irresponsible gambler will not be viewed favorably by society. Because today or tomorrow society will be damaged by him. However, we cannot blame for gamble as a gambler's behavior is entirely personal. By conducting responsible gambling on one will never be affected by the negative effects of gambling.
Being addicted or irresponsible gambler doesn’t mean you can harm the society unless the gambler does an action that affects the community then this is true. Some of the addicted gambler usually just play on their own silently since they spend most of their time in the casino instead of joining to do the society.

I believe the close family is the one will be affected financially if ever the gambler is using the money intended for his family but that’s not always the case so let’s stop generalizing an addicted is harmful to everyone.
That's not true for every addicted gambler because in some cases, the addicted gambler might become harmful to society or the people around them. After all, if they run out of money, they might think of doing evil things so that they can get some money only so that they can gamble with it.

I heard a story some time ago where an old gambling addict kidnapped his own granddaughter only to ask for ransom from her father because he wanted to gamble or repay some loan that he took for his family activities. Fortunately, he was caught without anything bad happening, but incidents such as this show us that people who are addicted to something can be extremely dangerous sometimes and we need to be careful from them at all times.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is web3 casino the new trend for casinos? on: June 11, 2024, 04:03:31 PM
Web3 casinos are not completely anonymous because what I know is that when you use web3 you still have to deposit your funds from the metamask to the casino account and when withdrawing the opposite, so for me in this way it is clear that the casino will still ask for your KYC at any time when a problem occurs for you.

The casino has existing licenses and regulators so there is no way that in full anonymity the casino can still control your account.
Web3 is now a new trend so casinos are integrating this because people may argue that with web3 it is fully anonymous.
What kind of web3 casino would require their gamblers to deposit the funds to the casino and then gamble? How is it a web3 casino if that is the case? A web3 platform is supposed to be decentralized which means that you won't need to make a deposit or withdraw when you use that platform because everything happens on-chain, it means that when you make a bet, you bet the funds directly from your wallet because you will connect your wallet with the platform.

When you win in a web3 casino, the funds go straight into your account that you have connected with the platform, so you don't need to withdraw. If a platform asks you to make a deposit or withdraw your funds when you win, it is centralized and that cannot be a web3 casino.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong? on: June 11, 2024, 03:12:40 PM
What is called addiction, it is not healthy even if you can win a victory that makes you rich. because usually, there will be a situation where the situation changes and uses up all the money you or someone has ever won. even if the situation gets out of control, we can lose the valuable things we have. So, anything in excess is not good.

The question is, is it wrong if someone is too addicted?! I answered, yeah obviously that's not good.
Second point, how do we manage or control gambling?! First of all, it is important for us to realize that gambling is fun entertainment. stimulates dopamine and endropine, which makes us enjoy this activity. However, to manage it so that it remains enjoyable entertainment, it is very important for a person to be aware of what he is doing with his gambling activities. The problem is, everyone has different understandings and different goals. Therefore, whatever one does with gambling, it is very important to know all the limits that we can afford. that way, you can manage and possibly control your gambling. in short, it's that simple.
You are right. It's ironic that if you ask a person who is addicted to gambling why they keep gambling when they never win, they tell you that they do it so that they can get a big win someday and recover all the money they have lost in gambling. And do you know what happens when they manage to get a big win? They gamble it all away again. If you ask them why they gambled the money they have won, they will tell you that they thought they can get more money with it.

So, there is no doubt that a person who gets deep into the addiction will barely be able to make good use of the money they might win, even if they win a large amount, they will gamble it away eventually, even if they don't gamble all of it, they will at least spend most of it on their gambling activities.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't fall for the "Beauty premium" of some coin/site on: June 11, 2024, 02:42:40 PM
Like a stunning lady entering the room, everyone goes crazy. Natural and human, but not always clever. Same with crypto. A shiny new coin promises the moon, and people go crazy. They throw money at it without thinking, like guys purchasing drinks for that gorgeous lady

You know, beauty fades. A hot crypto currency can quickly cool. You must be smarter. Don't believe the hype. Research the tech, team, and value. The most important things in life aren't always pretty. Sometimes the best finds are the ones nobody notices you had to dig for. The same for crypto

Be educated, discerning, and avoid the hype. Invest on value, not just appearance
What is seen indeed is what is sold.
For example, if we go to the clothes market, the clothes that the shopkeeper is praising the most, or the clothes that everyone is buying, our eyes go to that and we also want to buy them. Similarly, when new coins come in the market and are going up rapidly, most people start buying the coins, and when they suddenly start to fall, many people lose a good amount of money. Yes, this is my personal experience this happened to me too when I was new in the market.

I bet on a coin and lost around $2,000 at once then I realized that all that glitters is not gold. And this is the crypto market, one should think a hundred times before investing money here, especially in meme coins. Many times I bought coins which never went up and my money was lost but it is also true that man learns from his mistakes, only by experience results are achieved. We prevent others from what we have suffered and advise for what we have benefited from.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: June 11, 2024, 12:39:31 PM
As far as I know, people who play gambling must be happy or excited in their hearts. It is impossible for people who are not enthusiastic to take the time to gamble because it can interfere with their game. Most people who are not enthusiastic or anxious usually spend their time drinking.  or rest, It's impossible for someone to do that.
Well, it depends on how long it has been for a gambler in the industry and how their stats are. A person who has been gambling for a long and they are mostly in loss and even had some very rough sessions where they lost a lot of money, it will barely be a happy thing for them to gamble but they might be struggling and trying to recover what they have lost and at that point, it is nothing more than a constant chase for them and that doesn't bring you any joy.

However, if it's someone who is new in gambling and hasn't lost a lot of money in it, or it's someone who has been gambling since long but has been a responsible gambler, they might enjoy their gambling sessions because they won't be stressed out at all times because of the huge losses they had.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling increases computer education. on: June 11, 2024, 09:54:42 AM
Every person is eager to learn something new to keep pace with the times. However, nowadays, we see that most of the people are more interested in computer education to enjoy various job opportunities. Nowadays most of the work is done through online due to which people are taking up computer education. Moreover, as mobile phones have become more popular in the present era, older people are using mobile instead of taking computer education. Moreover, people don't give much importance to computer for gambling but mostly give importance to mobile because it can be taken anywhere and play gambling. Although all the work can be done with computer and very easily, but people do most of the gambling on mobile because of the convenience of carrying it everywhere. And I think more people use mobiles now than computers to gamble, and it's more accessible and convenient.
It is true that people today prefer to use cell phones compared to computers to play gambling because the mobility of effectiveness and efficiency is much better than using a computer, why people learn computers are more used to complete their work compared to gambling in my opinion, because it seems to me that it is not right if online gambling fosters the spirit of learning about computers, although maybe some people do it just for gambling but I also think that the use of cell phones is more massive both among young and old.
Do we have any stats that can provide that most people use their mobile phones for gambling these days? As far as cryptocurrency gambling is concerned, I believe this isn't true because cryptocurrency gambling platforms barely have an official mobile apps that one can use to gamble conveniently, and I don't think it is convenient to access the platform through a mobile browser and gamble from it and a computer gives you a much better experience.

It can be true for some traditional gambling platforms that usually have mobile apps available and there are also other mobile gambling apps that are only apps and have no web interfaces, and people use those for gambling as well as I have seen a lot of gamblers gambling on their phones using such apps.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sweet Bonanza vs Gates of Olympus on: June 11, 2024, 08:51:41 AM
Based on multiple factors such as gameplay, interface, the look of the game, sounds, the frequency of bonus plays without buying feature, I would say Sweet Bonanza is better because I have played both, and I must say that it is pretty difficult to get free bonus feature in Gates of Olympus. You will exhaust your bankroll trying to get that bonus feature without having to buy it but you will barely get it in Gates of Olympus.

In Sweet Bonanza, it doesn't seem that hard. You start playing, you enjoy the gameplay and the sounds, and boom, you see the lollipops on your screen and you got a bonus round where you may get a good multiplier as well sometimes. I haven't gotten a lot of money from it, but I like it more, to be honest.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The absolute insanity Congress is writing now... on: June 11, 2024, 03:29:22 AM
In most nations, public places are free to not only record but share as well, you can totally publish it, in USA that's like that too, and it's like that in other parts. You can only not publish it if it's private property, and even in that case they are finding legality is quite grey, why? Because you do not share it on some news company, but just open a secret twitter account that's based in some small island nation that has basically no law or something, and share it on that twitter instead, so you can't be sued.

However, back to the real point, using more than one account should not be issue, more than one address neither, you just want to use the most out of crypto and that means having multiple accounts without worrying about it.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Receiving bitcoin donations through my website on: June 10, 2024, 06:38:21 AM
I think you still don't know the answer because if you do, then you won't be here with this thread. And those amount of sats you listed there are not cheap anymore since BTC values have shot up already. To answer your question, I think a huge company such as CEX/KYC-based exchange will always have a special indication on their wallet addresses.

I already read your reason about this and I'd say that you should not worry as long as BTC is legal in your country. They will never restrict you, also as long as you won't do anything that is shady. About segregation, maybe you can put some disclaimer around the donation page about it and you will need to set-up two different wallets for it.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: June 10, 2024, 05:26:23 AM
If you have nearly zero capital, or basically not enough to start the business you want, my suggestion would be affiliate of people, not products. You may not think that it would be that easy, but its easier than you may have imagine, I have done it plenty of times in the past, not much recently because I do not have time at all, I barely have time to live, so I haven't but in the past I did.

It doesn't actually take that much time neither to be fair, you just find people who are good at their work (and alternative some cheap ones) and get those in contact with you, so you apply to ALL jobs in the world, like literally ALL of them you can find, and if you get accepted for even an interview process, you jump on board with that person, and he gets the job and you get a cut. Get your capital rolling like that.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: $120,000 Bitcoin is going to happened? on: June 10, 2024, 03:58:03 AM
I am new to BitcoinTalk BTC

My question is that I heard rumors about $120,000 Bitcoin
What is your opinion on this matter?
A possibility that will happen based on the historical price movements that have occurred but no one knows when the right time will happen.
We just follow the way the Bitcoin market works in a four-year cycle.
We are still waiting for the price of $100,000 as a new achievement after four years ago the price only reached below $70,000 as the highest price achievement.

Anything can happen including achieving the question you asked about the price of $120,000.
Welcome to the Bitcoin forum.
Nah, BTC didn't hit $120k yet. But no doubt that BTC has a history of great price increases. There are some patterns too that we can look at like every after 4 years. The $70k that you mean had happened in 2021 and if we count it from there to this current year, where are new ATH have been achieved already, I think that was only 3 years (not 4).

Many are still saying that the momentum will continue till next year. There are lots of ways to make a good amounts of profits here in crypto that doesn't require waiting for that big milestone in BTC. And that is even not guarantee, despite BTC being a great crypto. So, people should not only hold on to that promise.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 09, 2024, 07:49:40 PM

Do remember guys, they also lost against the Clippers in Game 1 and also lost against the Thunder in Game 1.
The problem is, the Thunder and especially the Clippers and not even close to the level of the Celtics. Boston has elite defense paired with thunderous offense. They can only beat themselves in my opinion.
Sure they showed some weakness in 1 game of each series but now they will be focussed because they know what an important game this one is. You want to take all the momentum to Dallas and not give them any hope.

Against all the teams in the east you would never have gotten the feeling the might lose the series. Even if they would have lost game 1 and 2, there would be no doubt they would still win.

Anyway, Boston will win game 2, just seeing this as a realist. Hoping for Dallas to somehow get this one but I don't have a lot of hope.
I feel like the thing about the team is that we are seeing something that will change a while and Dallas are no joke neither. Sure Boston is amazing, their switch defense is unparalleled and I believe that we are talking about something that will take a lot of talent to handle. Sure Luka has abused PNR before and took his quickness to score, like how he scored over Gobert because he knew he could outpace him.

However, with Boston, he can't and everyone switches and that's the issue, we should probably consider that as the most important part of this series. Maybe they will do fine, or maybe they will do terrible, we really don't know how it will end. Dallas will eventually figure out how to attack on offense, I think their defense against Boston is fine, but they need to figure out a way to attack on offense.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup - 2024 #Cricket Prediction and Discussion on: June 09, 2024, 06:58:53 PM
It's unbelievable to see the recent performance of India. 89/3 from 10 overs but now 113/9. What a miracle it is! How is it possible for Pakistani Bowlers?  Mohammed Siraj is the last wicket for India. He is a strong bowler for the Indian team. I hope today's match is already critical for the Indian team to win. Already Indian match is over to 119 runs. Indian team is all out left with 6 balls. The final target is 120 from 20 overs. I hope Pakistan is easily able to chase the match. Congratulations Pakistan.
I am also in shock how things are going for India in this game because things are clearly going out of the way with 120 is still good score, but it's not expected from them, but pitch is also not easy to bat which is having ups and downs and today Pakistani bowlers were up to mark which is another plus point for them Naseem Shah is game changer for them with Mohammad Amir and Haris Rauf done good job at the end because still I was having feeling India can go for the 150 which could be match winner in these conditions here at this ground.

Now after 12 overs we are having 72 for 2 and chances are 98% for the Pakistan from here can we have any miracle it's interesting because history is always having in favour of India.

Edit: We are having third wicket for India as Hardick Pandya takes Fakhar Zaman in 13th over, it's interesting.
