The Avalon Mini 3 is what I have currently as a home miner, and so far it is running quite ok (knock the wood). Small down sides are annoying "rattle noise" from the heat output protection steel net in "Mining"-mode and the lack web GUI (you can only meddle it with the android phone app "Avalon Family").
I hope the hardware lasts a little better than in Antminer R4 I had in the past. They had few hashboards going broken.
I think Avalon has it best currently in 1kW ish range. For other home miner sizes GekkoScience are known to be good and handy.

Hello everyone, I set up a proxy and my ping is 70. I want to see if there are any special settings I can make for the WhatsMiner device to get better results? It's all about your network setup and why would you add such proxy in your setup? Of course it brings more to latency. In Whatsminer settings there ain't things you can do to make latency better.

What the guys said earlier, and also you can find lots of useful documentation at Zeusbtc website https://www.zeusbtc.com

@pigfarmer Do you see the Mini 3 in your local area network if you look at your router's web user interface?

^ Wow, that is really unfortunate. I wish the best for him recovering from the fire. Reading this and other stories in the past, I feel very fortunate that during the most active part of my mining "career", I only had one serious close-call incident. The psu which I got originally with BW-L21 miner was a bad quality one with shitty dc side wiring, and I woke up in the middle of the night to my smoke detector alarm when the wiring failed.

And remember the basic rule. If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is not true.

You are asking about altcoins, since with PC it makes no sense to mine btc. Btc mining nowadays is only carried out with ASICs.

I grabbed one of these (the Mini 3)! It was from a distributor which was listed at Canaan.io (Mineshop). I see this one as a very interesting continuation in 800-1000 W power area home miner. Previous very common one in these was Antminer R4, and a lot of time has passed after that. I plan to use my one for a solo 'lottery' mining. I may even do a write-up for this, which I haven't done in a long time.

Please take things like this with a grain of salt, and very carefully.
Based on what I've seen here, doesn't give me reliable feeling yet.

Hello. Is it possible to buy it through Aliexpress? I'm afraid it won't be possible to deliver it directly to my country, due to sanctions and other policies(
Maybe you Russians should do something to stop that piece of shit known as Putin. The minute he and his war shit is gone, the sanctions will drop. I'm so done listening Russian citizens saying it's not us, it's Putin. YOU'RE THE ONES KEEPING HIM IN POWER. Sorry guys, *end of rant*.

Ei perkele, still this same question year after year after year. I've got nothing else to say but to agree with what guys already replied to you.

This sounds like a very sweet idea! I just recently signed a contract for new job, starting in autumn, and it will be very much an indoors office job. What better start for my desk setup than this cool piece of gear. And crazy to think how fast gear has developed.. I started ten years ago with a big ass Antminer S2 and now close to same hash power will fit in a neat small coffee mug warmer brick.

@deusopus Sorry for a late reply, I'm not too frequently active here nowadays. Can you post your Cgminer API log? And I mean the full log one (there was a tick box or something to choose less or more detailed log).
