1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever had a “100% sure” pick… and then it lost badly? on: September 29, 2025, 05:59:04 PM
Reality is, no one should be too sure with gambling. Because aside that the outcomes are unpredictable, it’s also the nature of gambling that keeps the thrill and excitement for gamblers. So if you think you’re overconfident with your bets, it’s just normal especially if you know the game well but believe me that’s not a good practice, it will only lead to a bigger losses instead.

I’m saying not because it’s the fact with gambling, but because this is from my real-life experience. And most of the highly confident gamblers, they end up crossing their lines and lose too much.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alcohol + Gambling = Recipe for Disaster? on: September 29, 2025, 05:44:44 PM
I guess drinking alcohol moderately may not be that bad, but when you become drunk while gambling continuously, that’s where misery starts to happen. It happened to me one or twice I think, and the outcomes were definitely undesirable. It’s like I lose too much, something that I don’t know how. But the fact that it gave me a headache after, that only means that it shouldn’t be an ideal thing to do.

It’s okay to drink, but always know your limits. Otherwise, if you gamble while drinking a lot, the feeling is high, until you realized in the end you lose all the funds you’ve got, which is definitely an amount that you can’t afford to lose.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why does most of the none-reputable casino cook up stories on: September 29, 2025, 01:01:12 PM
Scam sites often talks about fancy things, which are often full of lies. They deserve to be ignored and reported. Because of their consistent lying to the people, it raises doubts about the credibility of the other sites that are true to their clients.

However, I believe that if we all work together to prevent this kind of activity, it will never exist. Unfortunately, many were still greedy. Many influencers promote sites even though they are scams and frauds. Honestly, it was our actions that made them spread, and without hesitation, they take advantage of the situation, knowing that there are a lot of gamblers who can be fooled.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you also go through this stage in gambling? on: September 29, 2025, 11:07:09 AM
Well, we all fall into the assumption that we're going to win. We are all searching for the best strategy to beat the casino, but we never find any.

At first, I suspected the casino was cheating, but I realized that I was wrong. I'm just a loser like many others. And every time I lose, I convince myself that I was not too lucky today. Maybe tomorrow or the next day. I'm not that mad but of course, disappointed since I'd never experienced big wins for many years of gambling.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lessons From Overtrading on: September 28, 2025, 11:59:12 PM

There was a week when I placed over 40 ETH trades. Small wins, big losses, endless stress. My account balance didn’t move much, but my energy was gone.

That taught me that more trades don’t equal better results. Sometimes waiting for one clean setup is worth more than 20 rushed entries. Are you trading with purpose or just trading to feel busy?
I guess no one trades simply to gain nothing, profiting is always the ultimate goal. However, you are right there, overtrading will never guarantee massive profits as well. Instead, it will only make you lose faster than what you expect it to be, most especially if you are still in the learning and development process.

Trading is a mental game. Thus, when you overtrade, you are driven mainly by your emotions and impulses, that you end up losing your well-structured trading plans and strategies. That’s the reason why you fail to make more money, but end up losing all your funds.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Been first born and battling responsibility in this economy on: September 28, 2025, 11:33:12 PM
Being the first born brings quite an obligation as well, but that’s just normal, at least you did well your responsibility. And just to be honest, you don’t mess up with your investment, you just did the right thing, by saving your mother from all those treatment expenses. Kudos to you!

Now what have you missed? Nothing that much, just the same old forum discussions. But now that you’re back, just make up those times and get active with the forum as often as you can. Still, prioritize investing into bitcoin, because this could be a good emergency funds in the future, and a good retirement as well.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What else have Bitcoin done for you apart from making money on: September 28, 2025, 10:57:59 PM
After meeting bitcoin, I learned to invest in financial markets. After investing, I learned to be patient and wait. I realized how easily I could make money by using my mind and opportunities.

I realized how decentralized systems could change the world.
I can relate to that. Bitcoin taught me how to be patient. There are several markets that I have no idea on how to get into, but after my investment in Bitcoin. It had made learn them as well. But just because I have an idea about them already, I won't just get into it and I've decided to stick to Bitcoin in a while. And overall, being patient gives the best return in all of the markets that we might stumble upon to. With the best of them all, it's with Bitcoin and proven tested that the money really comes to the patient people and having patience is paying off, very well.
Bitcoin or fiat, if you have the right amount of patience, you will definitely make your investment works. Most especially for volatile investments like bitcoin, while others are in panic selling, at least you should know the perfect timing in everything, when is the right time for market entry and market exit as well. That way, you don’t invest just to end up losing, but to keep on maximizing your profit potentials, thus being patient really pays off in the end.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Individual freedom or social problem? on: September 28, 2025, 10:00:07 PM
Once you enter gambling, you should know the risks and challenges involved. If you think you are weak and could not manage well the risks and temptations with gambling, then it’s better not to enter gambling at all. Responsible gambling is a must, that’s why minors are highly prohibited from gambling, otherwise they will only gamble all their school allowance and even end up stealing funds from their parents once addiction develops.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your Key not your coin (86 million bank accounts shutdown) on: September 28, 2025, 01:11:33 PM
Exchanges are not storage wallets in the first place. And I don't understand why people are neglecting this. Instead of having a controlled wallet, they continue to use exchange wallets. I wonder why people have learned about the Coinbase incident and many others with the same cases as OP had mentioned, or they simply ignore them.

Until now, we still have holders complaining about the loss of their BTC, which, in fact, they already know how to safeguard. Or they keep themselves innocent despite knowing the possibility.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does data really help us bettors, or are the bookies just always ahead? on: September 28, 2025, 06:59:03 AM

So I’m curious... Do you think data really gives us an edge anymore, or is it just the bookies locking things down with their tech?
The data always gives us the benefit of analyzing the situation, but we have to remember that this is gambling, and it is not just about analysis but also luck. We can use this stuff in making decisions, but as we know, without luck, we can't beat the casino. In the end, the casino always wins.

In fact, bookies show the best they can do to make us win by giving odds. But as usual, gambling is not made for us to become rich and win every day. We're going to lose no matter what we do.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Psychology on: September 28, 2025, 12:00:10 AM
They say your emotions are your biggest enemy when trading. So if you’re not good on navigating it, you will definitely lose in the long run. While trading is a mental game, but it’s also a game of high emotions, the more you get weak, the more you are prone to lose.

This is the reason why trading isn’t for everyone. Or if everyone gets into trading, hence not all of them are winning, but instead majority are still at the losing end.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies loosing money to future on: September 27, 2025, 11:38:19 PM
While I also hear those lines that newbies instead of learning first before trading futures, when they can do both at the same time. And now with the current losses they continue to endure, hopefully they will learn from it and realize that learning should be done first before rushing into selfish aims or gains.

However, let’s just admit the fact that we can’t stop newbies from doing futures trading. Their money, their own rules. But at least they should know that futures trading is highly risky and they are more prone to lose rather than expecting profitable gains.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are majority of people really poor? on: September 27, 2025, 11:04:07 PM
I don’t want to say that some people are just destined to be poor like it’s their fate, but somehow if they don’t do anything to make their lives prosper and create positive changes, then most possibly they chose to stay poor rather than to experience comfort and convenience in their way of living.

However, some factors may also be possible that majority of the people remain poor. Lack of education and skills, low wages and unemployment. With this, if the government can’t guarantee life’s progress for them, it’s better if they will move on their own and work on their own path towards life’s success and financial stability.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet search about Bitcoin can be misleading for beginners at times on: September 27, 2025, 10:34:55 PM
This is the reason why you don’t have to stick to a single source or site but it’s more preferable to go on multiple sources so that you can compare their datas and make your own conclusion by the end of your research. This isn’t just for bitcoin but even in other words or terminologies, that’s why it pays to make a careful and proper research.

Also, what do you expect when we all know the government does not support bitcoin. Of course, bitcoin gains the negative impact while fiat remains to claim the positive spot.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about profit. on: September 27, 2025, 09:40:04 PM
I won’t feel guilt at all. First and foremost, it’s your money so you have all the right to decide whether to lend your money or not. Your decision shouldn’t be compromised, because you set your own rules for your money. And your friend should accept whatever your decision is.

Now talking about the blame game? Would you be affected? Definitely no. Although it’s normal for us to feel a bit strange of affection, but if you know you stand on your own principle towards gambling, then you shouldn’t feel guilt about what happen to your friend.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How easy it is to be addicted to gambling? on: September 27, 2025, 12:29:00 PM
Gambling is a trap and I believe if newbie gamblers started with that awareness and mindset, there probably would be lesser records of addiction. No one person initiated to be addicted to Gambling but it's designed to hook the brain in ways similar to drugs or alcohol.Setting boundaries before addiction strikes should be prioritized.
It is always a trap for those who don't understand how gambling works. And much more for those who are controlled by their emotions and greed. But for those who have been gambling responsibly and learned their mistakes, it is easier for them not to fall for the trick. A reason why newbies should not get too attached to gambling is that, as much as possible, they learn how to limit their time gambling. Because once you get into addiction, it's harder to escape. Just a piece of advice but I believe it works.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save successfully? on: September 26, 2025, 11:59:44 PM
Because our brains are wired to spend. Spending is fun; saving isn't. Money always comes short. There's always something to buy. Especially in this age of social media and online ads, there's always someone to compare yourself to and, therefore, that new sneakers to buy, that new iPhone release to anticipate, and so on. Fashion trends, for example, are so quick to fade you need to have so much money to catch up with what's in. Your salary isn't enough. So, what's to save? I guess the key is to live and enjoy a simple life.
True, temptations to spend are always there, and if you don’t know how to set limits on your expenses, you will definitely end up getting rekt and penniless. No problem for those who are earning well as they can afford to keep buying regularly, but for minimum wage earners, we should be responsible in managing our expenses, prioritize saving first as much as possible, and focus on needs, and just delayed our wants. Live life simply and low key.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of Bitcoin replacing traditional banking on: September 26, 2025, 11:36:30 PM
No chance for replacing banks, but there’ll be high chances that both will co-exist. Not because it’s the right thing to do, but because that’s what the people deserved to have, to choose on what service they’ll be more comfortable and convenient of.

Let’s stop thinking that bitcoin is here to compete with fiat and banks. That’s not the original goal of bitcoin. Yes, it offers us financial independence away from banks and government, but let’s also look at a more positive and productive side, that may happen once bitcoin and banks co-exist and serve the people.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Social Media influencers on: September 26, 2025, 11:02:24 PM
To be honest, I do find a lot of gambling social media influencers these days but I don’t find them interesting because majority of them are just promoting their own paid platforms without stressing out those risks involved on it just by the thought of gambling. Although gambling comes with a responsible and disciplined gamer, but what if you end up the other way around?

Do your own research instead. These social media influencers are definitely paid so they will do everything to attract their viewers, and if you are not knowledgeable and cautious enough, you will surely fall on their trap.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling has an impact on aging process on: September 26, 2025, 10:30:39 PM
Stress and depression that are brought by failures in life will definitely make a person aged fast compared to others who are living stress free and far from depression. However, I don’t want to point out gambling addiction as the sole source of it, but it could be most possibly the wrong decisions in life that aren’t analyzed well prior to putting them into actions.

Gambling addiction is a choice, so it could also fall as a wrong decision in life. But anyone can get rid from addiction, if you let yourself open for changes, if not leaving gambling for good, at least minimize the times reserved for gambling.
