801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: November 26, 2023, 08:28:19 PM
If you have the privilege to hodl then take advantage in this as your investment in bitcoin is to give you profits which can serves as your earnings means, then don't hesitate to grab in this opportunity regardless of what may be your challenges because bullrun will always come after Halving, also the value of bitcoin remains ever increasing and this is part of the reason why some have chosen bitcoin over any other forms of assets investment because it's relatively reliable.

If you are not privilege then I think you make out the opportunity for yourself because Bitcoin investment is an opportunity that everyone must not fail to miss especially now that you are aware of it, if you are not aware then I would have taught that atleast you weren't aware but if you know and preach out this taught and then fail to make out to achieve with this chance then it would be really disappointing, because after the whole bull season has past the only thing you might saying is just regretful feelings.
Do no wait that you will be left behind with bitcoin opportunities. If you believe on it and has definitely made a good research that convinced you to invest in bitcoin, then invest in bitcoin now if you have the sufficient funds to invest, otherwise you will lost the opportunity and regret it forever. But if you are still in doubt, then take time to assess yourself until you finally come up with your own decision. Hodling and trading bitcoin is always profitable, as long as you know how to deal with its risks and you're open for some inevitable losses more than gains.

While the choice is left for you to decide whether to buy and hold, or trade, but the challenge here is not actually how and when to start, but to make your bitcoin hodling or trading sustainable and successful despite of its market volatility and uncertainty.

Since na up na rin naman ito baka pwede rin natin mapag usapan si Sir Dabs na sa ngayon ay may medyo ilang months na rin atang hindi nag log in at napag uusapan na rin naman sa labas ng local ito. As of now my utang si Sir Dabs na mahigit 1M Php. Well hindi natin alam kung ano nangyayari behind the scene pero mukha naman atang babayaran ni Sir Dubs utang nya. Ano sa tingin nyo?

We can only speculate for now, but upon checking his bitcointalk account, there hasn't been any negative tag. It's possible that communication occurred outside the forum account. Right now, we just have to wait and see, but hopefully, this incident will not further contribute to the bad reputation of our local community as loan defaulters, considering there have already been cases of users defaulting on their loans.

It's important to note that this is an unsecured loan, and trusting big amounts of money, even to the most reputable individuals in the forum, carries inherent risks. We never truly know what's happening in their real lives. I'm not suggesting they would run away with the loan, but what if they are facing financial struggles and are no longer capable of repaying the loan? In such cases, there's a slim chance the loan will be paid, and lenders may need to accept it as a loss, sad but that's the reality.
803  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gamer Streamer to Gambling Streamer? on: November 26, 2023, 01:28:12 PM
That's not a new phenomenon, and it's understandable; they are simply trying to maximize their income. As streamers, they can earn money from views, but their earnings increase significantly with more sign-ups on the gambling sites they are promoting.

I'm unsure how the government could effectively address this, as it appears to be at odds with the policy of reducing gambling exposure to our fellow citizens. This is one of the reasons why many forms of gambling are illegal in our country, particularly those that could significantly impact the public's finances.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 26, 2023, 11:14:21 AM
Game 1 produced a surprising result as Meralco defeated TNT by a double-digit margin. Despite RHJ scoring 47 points, it wasn't enough to secure a win. The usual contributor, Oftana, was limited to just 4 points with a 2-11 shooting performance. Relying solely on RHJ won't guarantee victories for TNT; while he is capable, he'll tire quickly if he continues to carry the team. In their next game, they need to ensure that local players contribute to effect an overall team improvement.

Meanwhile, the 2nd game is live, with Bossing and Ginebra playing. It seems to follow a similar pattern to the previous game where Ginebra typically struggles with a slow start.

Ginebra is making a steady comeback in the second quarter, although Blackwater maintains its lead in the game. I anticipate that Ginebra will narrow the gap to a single-digit margin by the end of the first half.

Checking on the betting odds, Ginebra is still the favored team with a -3.5 spread at 1.90. Therefore, I believe this is a favorable line to consider if you are confident in their comeback potential, considering there is ample time left in the game.

Checking the score almost at the end of the 1st half and Blackwater still leading by 9 points, it can be a good timing for Gin kings backer taking that handicap might give them some decent win if by chance they will rally back during the 2nd half and win this game, though we all know that PBA can also ends up with a dissapointing outcome, "Silatan"  not sure if Gin kings fans will buy that possibilities.

Well good luck mga kabayan if ever you will place a bet while waiting for the 2nd half!

Ginebra outscored Blackwater by 8 points in the 2nd quarter, reducing Blackwater's lead to only 9 points. With two quarters remaining, if we believe in Ginebra's potential to win, the current spread of -2.5 in live betting seems quite tempting. Alternatively, for those seeking more action, considering Ginebra -6.5 in the 3rd quarter alone could be an interesting option.

806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: November 25, 2023, 11:59:24 PM
My father bought 50.000 $ Bonecoin 1 year ago .By the way he is ordering to me to do these kind of investments duties.I had to do that I said:It's a huge amount father are you sure that you're gonna risk all this money for just a coin?
-yeah ı'm sure be cool son
-ok father you always have a plan  Grin

a few months later this huge money reached 85.000$ I said;
-Father! well done you risked correctly. It's time to deposit it come on!!
-No son we should be patient more for a big hit

results:It's just 30.000$ now. Angry Angry Angry
Now everything makes sense with altcoin. You can't just expect that it will move like bitcoin and continue to increase its price as months and years pass by. Altcoins are only pump and dump schemes. Although I'm not saying it generally, but majority of them still fall on that most especially if we ride with the hype with these too good to be true projects in the market.

However, the opposite thing happens with bitcoin. As long as you hold it for long term and you never get bothered by selling it early when the price suddenly crash, then for sure you will never end up hodling bitcoin at a loss. Bitcoin is for long term while majority of the altcoins are just only good for short term investing.
807  Economy / Speculation / Re: The volatility volumes of Bitcoin is not the Will of man on: November 25, 2023, 11:39:27 PM
At the long run I later got your point in the post. Yes if man would decide what happens to the price of bitcoin directly then hodlers would always have the price high so that they will always be in profit but it is not happening that way.

First, the rule of demand and supply applies to bitcoin and that is why there is buy and sell, bull and bear. Also, the halving makes bitcoin very much attractive and creates more traffic to the bitcoin Blockchain and that creates the volume and volatility. One single man does not determine what happens in the price of bitcoin except in exceptional cases of manipulation and it never last forever.
There's no way that we're gonna control bitcoin to how it gonna moves in the market and its price accordingly. The reason that there is supply and demand, and there are different factors that would affect the market like news and current events that would lead to how its price moves. Otherwise, if the market moves based on our own will and how we want it to be, then taking risks will not be worthy anymore and we will always expect to stay in profits no matter how negative factors hit the market badly.

But we all know bitcoin is highly volatile and highly unpredictable. Instead of seeing it a threat for us, let's consider it as another opportunity that will make us profitable in the market even in the times when we least expect it.
808  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do in this situation? Invest or save? on: November 25, 2023, 10:59:32 PM
The business requirement or the capital in which you projected for the business is $20,000 and you have finally gotten $15,000, that should depends on the kind of business you wants to embark on. They are some businesses that you need the complete capital to start while some you can start with the amount that is available at hand. And if you are in the one that needs the total amount of capital to start then you can sort for a way to get it. Either in the bank or loan givers. But if you are in the one that you can start with the available cash then you can start with it.

But if you are thinking that you want to invest with in bitcoin and planning to start your business when bitcoin price is high my brother that is where the risk of investing in bitcoin come to play. One, you have to wait for a very long time for you to gain your remaining $15,000 and that also depends on the movement of bitcoin price and the time of the prediction of the next bull market. And in the process bitcoin price comes down to below $15,000 and your time of prediction has reached. Then you will loss out from the two sides. Now what I will advise is that, you can invest the $15,000 in bitcoin and continue your hustling to add the remaining balance and once you complete the balance then you can use them to start your business.
Not literally that you have to invest the whole $15k and expect positive result. If you wish to invest in bitcoin, just invest an amount that you can afford to lose knowing this type of investment has still high rate of losing especially if you're up for big and quick profits. You know, bitcoin is a long term investment so you can only expect to get profits after holding it for long term patiently.

Now, on the remaining amount from $15k, just keep it while you are working for another side hustle that will give you additional profits. I know if you work hard, you will achieve your desired amount in the long run. Just focus on your work while you are also working on your bitcoin investment, at least when the right time comes, you will have multi-sources that will generate profits for you.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helping family businesses and fulfilling dreams with Bitcoin. on: November 25, 2023, 10:34:33 PM
[I lost all the bitcoins I had invested, it's sad. But I am very happy and glad to be able to fulfill my father's business and my own dreams]

Why do you believe you lost your bitcoins? I do not think so. Is helping your father in the family business and pursuing your dreams a loss? If you would have lost your bitcoins because of a drop in the price of bitcoin, for example, or your bitcoins were stolen, that would be a loss.
You're right. You don't actually lose if you have benefit a lot from selling your bitcoin. You have achieved your family's dream and you have your own dream turns into reality, now that's a big success for you, not a damn loss. Selling early while you're still in profits is already a sign of a win or success, but selling early when the price is lower than the first time you bought it, that's obviously a loss for you.

My only advice for you is that you can invest again before bull run starts to happen. That's a big opportunity for you to benefit a lot in bitcoin again, so make sure you won't miss investing the market again.
810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your big plans for the Bitcoin halving coming up in a few months? on: November 25, 2023, 08:53:48 PM
I am consistently reassessing and reevaluating my investment strategy as the halving could have a significant impact on the price of Bitcoin and other altcoins. The halving could also lead to a surge in interest in altcoins. As such, I am on the lookout for alternative investment opportunities. And, of course, dollar-cost averaging (DCA) is a consistent investment I make. That's my plan, at least. What are your plans for the upcoming halving?
Well, that could also be possible with altcoins as there are really some potential altcoins who can ride with the bullish price of bitcoin. But as a piece of advice, never give your 100% trust on that because majority of altcoins still follow their pump and dump scheme. It's better to focus more on bitcoin and do DCA as much as you can because you can never be wrong with bitcoin as long as you stay investing on the amount you can afford to lose and you're willing to hold it when the price suddenly experience a decline.

However, DCAing with altcoins and bitcoin is certainly a great idea as well. But with limited amount of funds, I'd say stick to bitcoin.
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did you think will happen to Bitcoin before January? on: November 25, 2023, 08:30:18 PM
What I think is that the price will keep moving high and possibly reach $40k.
And asking if this is the best time to invest, you'd still have to think about it because I don't say it was a good time to accumulate but it was you who are willing enough to hold. Even though the market has shown good at this time and even though we are optimistic for the coming days, still we can't assure that it will go that way. This is why if we have to invest now, we are also willing to hold if the price goes down.
I obviously not sure what will be the price of bitcoin by january. You know, it's hard to tell and predict when all you are seeing now is a positive price for bitcoin, definitely you would always aim to stay that way or reach even higher amount. But bitcoin does not work like that. While everyone is expecting it to reach a new all time high, then suddenly the price turns into a roller coaster.

That is a big challenge for those who are still starting to invest, if they continue to be patient and remain hodling, or they will immediately sell to cut their future losses. But as for me, the current price of bitcoin is only temporary, so just let it pass and continue to hold and decide to sell only when the market is giving us an opportunity to sell.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: Economists advise caution in trading in Bitcoin currency on: November 25, 2023, 01:56:20 PM
~snip~
We can actually read what you have written even if you don't use the red and blue colors and the massive font size. As newbie, please take note of this as it makes your topic a bit stressful to read and comment on.

Bitcoin is a threat to central banks and other financial institutions. Therefore it is no surprise to see the backlash coming from them. Although, I understand that there is a huge risks that follows investing and Bitcoin and those you venture into it must read and thoroughly do their home, yet in the last decade Bitcoin has been one of the best performing assets that there is.
Well, what else do we expect from those who simply do not support the existence of bitcoin. Of course, they will try to attack bitcoin as much as they want because they don't see it as a legal and real currency, but often a tool for scammers and criminals. But despite of those accusations, bitcoin even surge high and now its price has become even more risky to invest because of its highly, expensive price.

That is why despite of its high profitability, we are still advised to invest with caution and do a lot of research before deciding to invest in a high risk asset. Always invest an amount that you can afford to lose, that way you'll be safe from the inevitable losses that appears in the market.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Why haven't the earliest participants sold their Bitcoin, and some haven't even on: November 25, 2023, 01:05:29 PM
Well, for those who have been hodling for a decade might have been living a very good life these days after they have sell their bitcoin and enjoy their massive profits. While for those who are only hodling a little amount and still hesitant to sell most probably they want to maximize their bitcoin accumulation, then they will definitely continue to hold onto their bitcoin.

However, for those who have been hodling bitcoin without performing with caution, their seed phrases or their wallet keys might have been forgotten and that until now they are still in the process of recovering their wallet keys especially that bitcoin price has become too expensive compared to the time they bought it first. And lastly, others might have prioritized altcoins over bitcoin, and they chose to neglect the potentials of bitcoin because they are too busy collecting altcoins.

We are currently watching the Spurs vs Warriors game, 2 struggling teams, who's gonna win this game?

Both teams having a good start shooting at least 60%, if the pace will continue this might go an easy over for the total. Wemby seemed playing well so far,  so let's see if it will continue and also let's see how the Warriors would limit Wemby knowing the lenght of their opponents is their main problem.

Still no Draymond Green for the Warriors, still under suspension.
But suddenly, their shooting in the second quarter is not as good as in the first quarter. The first half is over, with the Warriors now leading by only 4 points, but there's still plenty of time. We know how desperate the Spurs are to win; the Warriors have already broken their losing streak, so maybe the Spurs' time will come today.

After a good first quarter, I think Wemby did not score in the second quarter. Adjustments really play a vital role in this game, and the Warriors' defense has been adjusted to limit Wemby. If he keeps going, it could be contagious, and the whole team will be playing impressive basketball, putting the Warriors at risk of losing again at home.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 25, 2023, 03:59:52 AM
Game will start in a minute, so good luck with your bets. Me, I think I'm gonna wait for the live betting as I felt like Ginebra is not gonna have a strong start, the first half will be given to the desperate team and Ginebra will take over the 2nd half.

It turns out you are correct, but not until the end of the first half. At one point, Rain or Shine enjoyed a 12-point lead, but Ginebra made a strong run to take the lead back. The score at the end of the first half is 44-49, with Ginebra holding a 5-point lead. Currently, Ginebra is already -9.5, and the spread hasn't changed much even though they are leading now.

We can already see Ginebra showcasing their strength, which is their ability to come back whenever they are behind. This is something that Rain or Shine doesn't have, and they are at risk of losing now because they were not able to protect their lead against a team that excels in the second half.

Ginebra win the game but handicap for those gamblers who pick -9.5 during the live event did not win their bet, RoS did try to stay close
and did try rallying back but Ginebra managed to keep that distance and win this game, and as for my opinion, RoS don't have that reliable player/s to help even how hard they are trying its still a big advantage for Ginebra having players who can really dependable and can manage to takeover or help to takeover the game.

The Gin Kings manage to win by 5 points only, so unfortunately, the Ginebra spread backers didn't cash in on the win.

ROS is still on a losing streak, but if you stick with them, you might start racking up wins, considering their efforts to turn things around. Bookies could keep labeling them as underdogs, creating ample opportunities for us bettors. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed with Ginebra's performance. I didn't witness the consistency I was anticipating, even though their import has been meeting expectations. I feel like his overall impact falls short compared to Brownlee's.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 25, 2023, 03:16:52 AM
Houston Rockets - Denver Nuggets - Denver Nuggets (-2.5)
This is going to be a difficult task for the Nuggets and they have been losing some of their games due to a lack of players stepping up their game without Murray. But, I believe in Jokic, steal this one from H-Town.
Also taking the Over 210.5. If Nuggets wins their total score should be at 120+. That's their most likely number whenever they win games.
This one would not win as Rockets defense made the defending champ struggle on this game. Rockets already have a comfortable lead I'd say my bet would likely win as I have +3.5 on them, should have bet on the moneyline if I knew, LOL.
The home team will likely win as there's not enough time for the Nuggets to comeback, as usualy, Jokic is leading the team but he doesn't have much support especially from Gordon who has not contributed with 0-11 shooting.

They really miss Murray now.

New York Knicks - Miami Heat - Miami Heat ML @2.90. Took the bet while Knicks is on a 3 point lead.
Good luck everyone.

Oopps. not too easy mate as Knicks are coming back in the 4th quarter, but either way even if Knicks will win I would still lose my bet, so I hope they'll just fall to the Heat, good luck to you.

Too bad, Heat were not able to hold on their lead and they allow the Knicks to come back.. Knicks took this guy but winning only be 2 points.
817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Investors Confidence in Bitcoin💪 on: November 24, 2023, 10:58:17 PM
Hello everyone

In 2018, when I heard about Bitcoin from an elder brother in the area, I became addicted to Bitcoin. Since then, I started learning about Bitcoin from that elder brother and got the opportunity to learn more details from the forum by logging into Bitcoitalk with his ID.  .
And in view of this in 2020 I invest some of my savings in Bitcoin.
From teaching, when Bitcoin broke past record highs at the end of 2021, I had the opportunity to make a good profit from my invested Bitcoins, but my strong belief in Bitcoins prevented me from selling Bitcoins, after which the price of Bitcoins began to decline.  Then different people tried to discourage me in different ways but it is from this forum that predictions about Bitcoin and my confidence in Bitcoin still make me come.

Hopefully during the Bitcoin Halving of 2024, Bitcoin will break all previous records and reach a peak price.

What is your opinion on this?

We don't know what's yet to come but one thing is certain, every bitcoin halving brings another opportunity to make bitcoin price more impressive and more profitable for us, the reason why everyone here in the market is looking forward for the imminent bitcoin halving. We have seen how bitcoin price works and prosper every year after so that build us our bigger confidence with bitcoin.

However, despite of our positive speculations with this upcoming bitcoin halving, I suggest to still expect the unexpected. Bitcoin price may reach a new all time high, or it could be the other way around, bitcoin price may suddenly decline to give way in reaching its new all time high.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Holders Hesitant to Sell Despite Price Surge on: November 24, 2023, 10:20:11 PM
This is not really surprising as bitcoin holders would always want to achieve maximum profits if the market allows them. That is the reason why they invest in bitcoin and hold it for long term, not just to double or triple the profits, but if there are chances to increase the rate of their profits, they would be willing to take the risk and wait patiently until they end up with huge and satisfying amount of profits.

I can say that in every bitcoin halving that happens, bitcoin hodlers have also learned their lesson and would want better experiences with the next bitcoin halvings. Now, that the next bitcoin halving is set to happen by next year, then as much as possible they really want to maximize their preparation and hold their bitcoins as long as they want if its the only way they will gain life changing profits when the bull season has finally started.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: November 24, 2023, 07:27:59 AM
As you've read the thread title, I'll continue the explanation here, as it cannot accommodate additional text. I've come across numerous topics and posts where gamblers express disbelief in the idea of consistently making profit through gambling. It makes me question whether these individuals are truly involved in gambling or if they're posting without the real experiences and knowledge. Personally, I firmly believe that there are people who have achieved real success in gambling. What perplexes me is why many discourage gambling as a means of making money. Instead of outright saying no, they could guide gamblers with the right strategies on how to stay disciplined, enhance skills, minimize the risk of bankruptcy, and increase the chances of winning.

If you're someone who doesn't believe anyone can be profitable in gambling, you might as well consider yourself not welcome in this thread. I'm looking for people who maintain optimism about their chances in gambling so they can share valuable insights.

Now, let's hear your opinion. In 3...2...1... go!
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: November 24, 2023, 06:44:49 AM
The issue with some gamblers is the assumption that, being in crypto, everything remains anonymous, allowing for privacy to be maintained. However, that's no longer the reality as adoption has increased, and regulations have become tighter. It's essential to bear in mind, especially with recent news (if you're following), that CZ, the CEO of the largest exchange Binance, was arrested and has reached a settlement with the government, agreeing to pay billions to avoid imprisonment. This highlights the seriousness of regulators, as I believe both exchanges and gambling sites are treated similarly when it comes to regulation.

It's understandable, especially for those new to crypto, to assume they would enjoy complete anonymity due to the term 'decentralized.' However, this is not the case for most casinos. The kind of games or platforms they operate is quite similar to fiat casinos, differing only in the currency used—crypto here, fiat there.

Over time, they'll come to understand the importance of KYC. If we disregard it, it means we are not eligible to gamble. So, if we still want to engage in gambling, we have to acknowledge that KYC is a necessary step and accept it before signing up.
