21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I experienced since the past two days now on: May 09, 2024, 10:59:28 PM
It is really hard to trust anyone one no matter if it is online or in real life.
And yes there are people who would use crypto or Bitcoin to scam because of its anonymity or being decentralized, but that doesn't mean that everyone is a scammer just like in mixer not everyone who use it is using it for money laundering, there are others who just like to keep their identity or crypto hidden, it will all depends on how we use it.
Trust is a big word that depicts a deeper meaning. That does not mean that because you like the person, you have to give your trust right away. That’s probably the mistake of majority since they all come to trust quickly those new people around just because they are nice and they share the same opinions and ideas with you.

When it comes to money, trust should be given last. That is to protect yourself from being scammed and steal all your money, and to avoid those bad guys coming into your life so they won’t have chances to deceive and mess up with your hard-earned money.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 06, 2024, 05:58:27 PM
Gambling is becoming a popular thing in my locality almost everyone gamble and even colleagues gamble and engage in gambling related discussions at work,  so gambling is legal and very popular so there is no Shame in using part of a salary to gamble with that is why I am asking the question of what the right percentage from my salary that I should use to gamble?
If you are earning well, you can spare around 10% of your monthly salary reserved for gambling, but it’s okay if you go beyond that as long as you can manage your losses and won’t never be an issue. However, if you are earning a minimal amount, I suggest don’t force yourself to gamble. Gambling is meant to be fun and entertaining, not an obligation that is compulsory to fill in. Just gamble when you think you are already able enough, that you will be comfortable already of losing some amount.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between females and males, who are more resistant to gambling losses?  on: May 06, 2024, 05:40:21 PM
Resistant to gambling losses like they don’t care if they lose right? Because many men gambler usually keep gambling not because they don’t care about their loses but rather they can’t sleep thinking that they lose that’s why they keep coming back to play more so that they can recover it. Other people may think that this kind of people has strong resistance to gambling losses but in reality they are extremely weak that’s the way they are chasing losses.

It’s very to compared to gender for this topic because there’s only few female gamble to use as sample for experiments to determine an answer for this question. But for me, Male is more resistant since there’s only few Female gamblers because they can’t take risk of losing.
I have to agree with this. Women might also be exploring in gambling but I guess only few of them will manage to continue gambling, simply because women are born less risk takers than men, and that they won’t suicide in things where they have less chances of winning. Unlike men, they have this pride that they don’t want to see themselves losers in the end, that’s why they keep on proving to theirselves that they can stand the pressures in gambling and win in the end despite of their consistent losses they made.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you disguise on your real gambling lifestyle just to help a friend/relative? on: May 06, 2024, 05:19:42 PM

Does any of you guys have any negative side of gambling habit in you which literally you advices anyone not to exhibit it?
Or can you afford to hide your real disreputable gambling life just to help an astray gambling friend or relative?
It is totally normal to have times when you don't stick with your plan. We are humans and not some programmed robots. You should not feel bad about it. Tell your friends the reality of your struggles. We struggle with it too but it is the daily discipline and self control that sets us apart.

My own is that, sometimes I once a week or twice in a month, I bet more than more than I can afford to lose. On some days it favors me while on some weeks , the house wins.
I think the only way to help your friend or relative when it comes to gambling is to be more genuine on your gambling habit, and show him what gambling is certainly all about. No need to hide something that you don’t want other gamblers to see or experience, because every gambler will certainly experience the same struggles of a gambler, it’s up to the gambler itself how he will respond to certain situations.

Not hitting the betting plan is actually normal, but what is not normal is that if you pretend to someone that everything will work in gambling, but in reality we all know that gambling can be so annoying and destructive, most especially if you easily fall into gambling addiction.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What ways can a trader raise money? on: May 06, 2024, 04:38:15 PM
Someone that wants to be trading should not think that money will come from thin air. That is not possible. He needs to gather some money together to start trading.

If you want to enjoying trading, get a job. Use the money that you can afford to lose from the job income to trade. Amount like 5 to 10% of your weekly income.
Precisely. There’s no such instant money that is just intended to trade and expect profits. It’s either you save it for long or you keep your spare money out from your job compensation. There’s no one out there who will just give money for free so you can use it in trading.

Now, if you’re new into trading, there’s more to mistakes and losses than enjoying your trading profits. And we all know that since trading is always hard at the beginning. And in order to gain more experience in trading and enhance your potentials, then have a real job that will pay you fixed amount so you can spare some extra money into trading.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falseful speculations about bitcoin predictions and its halving on: May 06, 2024, 04:10:25 PM
I think what it is, is that many people heard on the news or some post or some friend that, crypto has to pump right after the halving because there will be less supply and they go and invest and are upset about not getting any immediate gains.

The halving just happened like 10 days ago, it will take a while to have an effect, it’ll take a few months at least. Plus bitcoin already pumped a lot due to the etf approval. We were at like $45K when it was approved and we peaked slightly over $70k. So you need to be patient before it hits a number like $100K.
Bitcoin price will eventually pump but not immediately after halving, as it may still take couple of months before we can see a significant price increase for bitcoin. It’s just that newbies who entered in the market are less patient when it comes to profits, and probably because they have heard the wrong information first that bitcoin price will consistently surge high after halving. Although it’s not wrong to listen to other people’s opinions and ideas, but learn to verify them as well before you set to believe on their words.

However, the important thing is halving is already done which is a very important event for bitcoin. And that would lead to its bull run soon where everyone expects to reap their profits from long term hodling.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ? on: May 06, 2024, 03:28:29 PM
Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ?  What was the final result, did they thank you later for this ?

I haven’t, and I never will. A friend knowing that I know a lot about cryptocurrencies once asked me if they should invest and I reiterated the ideology of Bitcoin over again to them and told them the risk if they wanted to invest. I don’t think it’s wise to advise anyone to invest in such a volatile market. You have no clue how much they take your word for it and may even invest their life saving.
Exactly. That’s why I don’t and I will never intend to influence the people around to invest in bitcoin, as they might blame me in the long run when things don’t work for them even if it works for me. Bitcoin is highly volatile, and not everyone will be able to manage its volatility and uncertainty, they might be seeing good at it at first, but when price drops drastically, I’m afraid they won’t be able to control their emotions and just jump to panic selling which is definitely a wrong turn for them.

However, I’m more open on educating them about bitcoin, ask me what I want and I’d be willing to answer, but when it comes to convincing them to risk their hard-earned money into bitcoin, that’s always a red flag for me.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 06, 2024, 03:05:20 PM
Inoue once again became victorious with another KO, I think it's time for Casimero to challenge him if he will still choose to stay.

Casimero  hasn't stop challenging him, it's just that Inoue also does not stop avoiding him. Actually, only Casimero is the remaining in the division that Inoue has to right if he wants people to stop talking about how he is dodging Casimero. Although most of us believe that Inoue can beat Casimero but we know his name will always popped up everytime Inoue has a fight. I believe Casimero is not afraid to fight anywhere, so he is willing to travel in Japan to challenge the champion, hopefully Inoue will accept the challenge before he decide on moving up.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: May 06, 2024, 02:38:49 PM
Canelo with another spectacular performance. He may not be the same Canelo a few years ago but his experience, ring IQ and skills are too much for the young hungry Mungia. I did not thought Canelo can put down Mungia who's chin is already proven after so many battles. I believe that was the first time Mungia was put down in his pro career.

As we expected, his champion's experience and skills are not getting rusted that quickly and he just gives Munguia a wake-up of reality when he hits him with those huge power punch combinations. Well, as we all know, champions don't give up easily and he was really lucky he got that experience from a veteran and gave the best of him to make him feel the difference in their level. I think Munguia will quickly recover after that lost and will make it his best motivation to bounce back once again but before that, he needs to get up slowly with tune-up fights before going into the championship fight once again.

I am not surprise with the outcome, although Munguia was able to survive in the whole 12 rounds but you can see that he was fairly dominated by Canelo. The boxer was undefeated before he fought Canelo, so we can say that he is a quality boxer, and canelo just dispatch him like that. I guess Canelo really love to fight an undefeated challenger, because there's a lot of boxers in his list that he beat before which was undefeated when they faced him and Canelo just schooled them easily.

I honestly like Jaime Munguia in this game, although he know how good Canelo is, he respected it but he went to fight and try to beat Canelo. He is a definition of a warrior, not afraid to loss and not a afraid to fight a well known boxer.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the real bull run begin? on: May 06, 2024, 01:33:52 PM
The same as you. Keep the patience stronger. There will be light at the end of the road.
But if you badly need the money then take it especially, if it's an emergency and you have no other ways where you could get it from. Health is wealth.

You are right, the increase in value of Bitcoin after the halving is not existent unless a big hype comes out. Also, it's expensive in this era which could be the reason for a slow value increase. I'd be more patient if I were you.  Just don't look at the fluctuating market for now, I doubt it will fall at the number where you bought it because of the ETF which will try to keep it at the right place. We didn't have that before which made it scary, we have it now and that should be a big change in how we see the Bitcoin market.
I guess we have no other option but to patiently wait until we will see bitcoin price reaching its new all time high, though it’s still left uncertain but one thing is sure, it will happen soon. So don’t be too much affected with the current price correction, for sure it won’t be happening longer than we thought. But instead, learn to be more open on what a volatile market is, prices may drop down but it may move upward as well due to price fluctuations.

However, if you are facing such emergency situation right now, don’t be afraid to sell a portion of bitcoin. Eventually, when the price gets lower and quite affordable, you can buy back again and continue to hold until it double or triple from the price you have first bought it.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: Not your keys not your funds Banks on: May 06, 2024, 10:12:41 AM
There seems to be nothing safe in reality. Before, keeping huge sums of money in your house isn't advisable. That's too risky. Your cold cash is difficult to keep. You're exposing it to robbers. You could spend it on useless stuff. Your house could catch fire. There might be flood. Your money could even be consumed by rodents and other pests.

And yet, keeping your money in the banks could mean it could be frozen from you. It could be locked. You might not be allowed to withdraw it indefinitely. Your bank could crash. This goes on.

Keeping your money in gold, real estate, stocks, business, Bitcoin, and so on doesn't mean they're safe either. Perhaps diversifying your money could somehow lessen the risk.
Reality is, the safety and security of your wealth is only within your hands. If you are too trusting to your banks or even exchanges that monitor your wallet, you will lose them all in an instant. That is why when it comes to money, there’s no one you can trust 100%. So be cautious where to save or store your wealth. If you are not responsible enough to manage your wealth, you will definitely mess them in no time.

So I’d agree that with all these flaws, diversification could be the best option. At least if you lose one asset, the other one might probably be in profits. Risks are inevitable, but one should always know how to lessen those risks.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question to hodlers:How will you spend the money? on: May 06, 2024, 09:35:50 AM
"Question to hodlers:How will you spend the money?" - to buy an island, a lambo and a couple of mulattoes. Cheesy

Sooner or later there will come a moment when we will sell the bitcoins we hodl and have to invest this money in something else to create passive income
It can be real estate, any business, buying land and renting it out or something else
Why sell bitcoin in order to invest the money received in something else, for the sake of receiving passive income, if bitcoin already brings passive profit? Moreover, not every method of making a profit can boast quite significant returns.

Some, for example, buy a yellow legal pad. Although I could call this the most senseless and stupid way to spend bitcoin (or there is something I don’t know and don’t understand in this story).
I guess selling bitcoin in order to acquire other investment is quite unreasonable, but if you tend to sell a portion of your bitcoin investment in order to diversify your investments, that would make more sense, like buying properties or putting up a physical business that would attract a lot of customers, hence you are adding to your bitcoin investment that would also gain more passive income.

However, if you can also maximize your bitcoin investment, that would mean massive profits as well. But I always believe that it’s always better not to put all your eggs in a single basket, that way you will lessen the risk it involved and you will come to minimize the chances of getting lose all at once.
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there strategy to make profit daily future trade on: May 06, 2024, 12:00:24 AM
I have good knowledge with crypto future
I get signals from groups on telegram

But i got idea to make profit daily

I choose some coins potential raise and open long  positions on them and hold

For day until i get profit.. Is this good idea or let me know if there better idea

I won’t comment whether the idea is good or bad. But when it’s your own hard earned money, then why relying on other people’s calls. You should yourself take courage to learn about market analysis and do it yourself to choose the perfect coin to invest. It’s good as long as you are making profits from it. But if you make losses by chance, then you will complain about the source only. Hence, it will be ideal to do your own analysis and do the investment.
True. You should be responsible of your own investment by making the wisest decision that you think is right, and not because majority of people are saying it to you. Yes, it could be risky to rely on group signals or from those crypto influencers but it could be riskier if you invested without knowing in the first place.

You should know that the best way to be profitable in this kind of industry is to focus on your own growth and enhance your potentials, and that will only be possible if you rely on yourself and get acquainted on how the crypto investment works and on how you’ll become excellent in predicting market analysis despite of its high volatility.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: May 05, 2024, 11:47:13 PM
that's right, especially if you just glance at the way they dress. of course it feels unethical. as long as he brings money and does not disturb other players I think it's okay to play gambling at the casino. especially if you see someone's character is different from one another.
Sometimes it's not just about the dressing; most of them might dress averagely, but the way they behave in the gambling house will show that they are not on their right senses.

Some also might not dress very well and when they enter any gambling shop even when they mean no harm their appearance alone will scare people aware and they will be uncomfortable to gamble in that place because anyone who is confirm not to be on their right might their behavior can't be predicted and as such people should be careful with them.

If the casino will push a ban, that will be most likely because of their behavior in the casino site, not because of how they dress or how they look like when gambling. There are some people who are not really cautious of how they look physically, because as long as they don’t harm others and they’re not giving other gamblers a hassle, I guess that would be fine.

But when it comes to unusual or unethical behavior presented in the gambling site, of course the casino staff should make an action to that. Not just for the sake of other gamblers, but also for the sake of that person as he might be losing all his money without knowing in the first place why he lose them all, that he’s not consciously aware that he gamble them all.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC? on: May 05, 2024, 11:26:36 PM
Unless they are not required to comply with the governments regulation I think that is the only reason that keep them from demanding KYC's to their respective users. Money laundering is I think the most common reason why we need to undergo KYC they just wanted to see no irregularities from their users.

and it's never going to be possible for the government to allow casino operate freely without KYC implementation on their site. One of their reason to have KYC is to limit or prevent the level of money laundering cases that is happening and those that Launder money are looking for evey available option to clean the money, it have been know by the government that casino is one system that is being used to clean tainted money.
And it’s one way for the government to control the casinos as much as they want to control also the gamblers and monitor the profits that are coming in to their account. So there’s no way that the government will stop this KYC verification, because aside that it’s giving them advantage, they are also benefiting some profits made by the casinos, and failure to comply it will put those casinos into closure.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving in this economy needs a new minds set on: May 05, 2024, 10:57:47 PM
Getting a job is a better idea. Investing in Bitcoin, Altcoins, etc isn’t bad but maybe you need to look for a job that can provide enough money to take care of yourself and needs. You can find a way to even save some money and look forward to having your own personal business. That’s the best “new mindset” you can have.
Of course, you have to get a real and stable job first prior to investment. Bitcoin or altcoin thing will only serve as a side hustle that will gain additional profits from your major source of income. Otherwise, you will face financial struggles if you rely solely on bitcoin in making ends meet, most particularly in times where bitcoin price is at its bearish.

As much as possible, learn to grow your knowledge and skills so you will also be highly capable of adapting new side jobs so that it will be easier for you to generate multi profits from your multiple sources of income.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: May 05, 2024, 10:13:27 PM
Oh just relax guys after going to 73k why are we worried at this price now lol
No worries at all if you know and seen how and last year has started.

Those that are worried probably bought at the new peak which is $73k.

The best is yet to come and who will be the most patient wins.
I guess for newbies, the current price will certainly be a big issue for them because if bitcoin price will consistently drop its price, that will make their investment doomed. But if they know that being patient in the market most especially in times like this will pay a lot, then they won’t be worrying too much knowing the fact that this is just part of price correction.

Those who came with knowledge and completely understand the volatility of bitcoin will just face the market calm and chill, but for those who rush to invest without studying first, clearly that will be a disadvantage for them.
38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Meme coins signals group here on: May 05, 2024, 11:04:32 AM
People still follow "signal" groups, most of which are just scams?

One day you will get rugged and the small profits you though you had made will all go down the drain. The most important aspect in trading is learning for yourself how to trade rather than following signals. A huge percentage of them are even just organized scams.
I have to say that probably there are some reliable signal groups but majority still fall on scams, and that’s why I don’t risk myself believing in such signal groups that may work and give you profits, when in the end it will leave you struggling until you lose your trades.

There’s no easy profits in trading, everything should be smartly analyze before you decide to trade using real money. Just think of it, if group signals really did their work and do miracles in trading, then we won’t be seeing struggling traders nowadays trying to profit from their trades.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 05, 2024, 05:21:08 AM
Ant getting 43 points on 59% shooting carried the Timberwolves tonight. If he keeps this up the Timberwolves go all the way.

That coupled with 1 steal and 2 blocked shots, he literally played 42 mins and had just 1 turnover despite being primarily guarded KCP all night long. The Timberwolves has everything that the Lakers lacked against the Denver Nuggets which is a team effort organized defense and the ability to stay oriented in a game for 48 minutes. If Timberwolves should get as opportunities as many the Lakers had with multiple double digits lead in each game before before fumbling it, this would be another 4-0 series sweep for the Wolves.

Jokic were able to put the bigs of the Timberwolves in foul trouble but the other stepped up, so it's hard for the Nuggets to beat a good team. They need to make the right adjustment in game 2, Murray should start strong not what he showed in that game where he was scoreless in the first half.

It was a winnable game by the Nuggets, their strategy wasn't just effective in that game, plust the Timberwolves are also shooting well outside, especially coming from  Conley, Reid and Edwards.

I smell another sweep, LOL.. If the Wolves could do that to the defending champion, there's no reason they can't win the championship. They are new to the playoffs especially Edwards but they seemed to be very smart enough in the crunch time, I like how they keep attacking the paint and gave Jokic a huge problem. However, just like they said, this is a 7 game series, the result of game 1 does not dictate the outcome of this series, so relax and enjoy the series as definitely the Nuggets have plans to win game 2 to even the series.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 05, 2024, 04:42:03 AM
I read a headline that tells about Converge gonna draft Kai Sotto to their team if ever he wants to play on PBA. But his manager retaliates and said that even he'll be offered twenty million pesos, he's not going to accept it because they're going to push further to his journey to international leagues and get close at least to NBA dream of his. They're still going to try no matter what happens just for the sake of the dream of Kai to play there and that's a wise answer.

They are in the position to deny that offer as Kai Sotto's career has been progressing. Big man like him is in demand, and he is still young and could still develop his skills. I don't understand, 20 million? For real?
That's just a given figure and example by the manager. I doubt it that Converge will give him that salary for his entire contract per season. That's a lot of money to be honest and no team except MVP and SMC could give that to their best players.
20 million per season, that seemed too low for him considering his status now. I mean he can earned more than that abroad, and when Kai will play in the PBA, will they promise to increase the contract? I doubt that, so while they could offer that amount, but we are looking of his future here and he will not grow like that in the PBA.

the PBA is dying and people are not watching it anymore, where will they get that 20 million salary?
I've seen the raffle that they've given, well that's a nice pack of bread to the winners through their page. But sure, the league is dying and don't be serious about the given figure because the manager said that even if they'll pay Kai with that amount, they won't go to PBA.

They won't go because they probably think Converge are not serious with that offer. And also, does it guarantee they'll become a championship team once Kai join them? NO.
