1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you gamble? on: Today at 07:56:34 AM
To make the sports more exciting. I rarely play casino games and I don't like spending too much time on it to avoid gambling addiction. I do mostly sports because I am a fan of it. Gambling makes it more fun by adding some bet on the games that I pick especially the teams that I am a fan of.
Sometimes the games are not that fun to watch anymore but through gambling it adds a flavor while watching the game.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First thing you will do if you win big time in a Casino? on: September 21, 2025, 06:28:50 PM
Family. That's where the money will go the same as the example of the winner. Not my mother because he ain't around anymore but the mother of my kids will definitely receive a huge chunk of it. Then, some of it will probably go to savings or just leisure so that my family can enjoy it.
I think the first thing that I will do is take them to somewhere awesome and break the surprise that I won something big. I won't even say no on what they like to buy that day.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you spin? on: September 20, 2025, 05:09:14 PM
That's too dangerous. I would not even dare spin that. This is a life of a person that we are talking about and it should not be wasted just for mere money. There's always a way to make money but not through a high risk like a spin a wheel that will cause death.
I think anyone who would do this is crazy enough or do not think the importance of life. We can always just earn money to reach that amount but a life cannot be replaced.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The main thing is to stop in time. on: September 18, 2025, 12:54:19 PM
Time is a hard thing to manage of all. With money it is possible, but time is so precious that managing it will be a tough one. It's moving, that's the problem, money can be stagnant.

I do agree with OP that there should be a strategy like how he example. 3 could be low. 20-30 bets in slots should be enough and just do it the next day if you feel unlucky. That's without using the Martingale strategy combined with that strategy. Just normal spinning with the same amount.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes its good to have patience in gambling. on: September 16, 2025, 03:10:18 PM
Patience is a must in gambling. It's mandatory. Without it, we are just playing on the hands of the online casinos. But we cannot blame those who cannot control themselves and becomes aggressive when they lose. The format of online gambling is mostly about losing streaks so even with a person with the longest patience might lose it if nothing will ever go his way for a day or two.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: politicians gambling on: September 16, 2025, 01:37:32 PM
It's crazy that we can still see politicians does this. It just means they are not afraid with the law and they can use their power to bend the rules. Still, I think people who sees them should tell this to the right authorities so that they will be punished and it will be a learning lesson for every politician who will try to do the same.
We cannot just always rely with the authorities. They will just look the other way even if they see this happening in front of them.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sounds can make you an irresponsible gambler if you let it on: September 15, 2025, 11:31:13 AM
Like a last song syndrome. I understand. I sometimes walk in the park and when I hear that sound "Big Winnnn", I already know the slot provider that he is playing. Cheesy Truly, this could urge a gambler who is resting in the park into gambling after he hears those sounds.
We must be aware with our environment. Keep the sound just enough for us to hear it and even in our own homes, we cannot let the kids hear those sounds because there's a chance they will have an idea what it is when they grow up.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is collective betting a good strategy on: September 14, 2025, 02:31:56 PM
The same with you, I think it should be done just for fun. Don't take it seriously and just place the same amount as others would do. It's best if it's cheap so that we can move on easily if it loses. I don't like the idea of going all in for collective betting. $100 for each person and if you are 10, is already pricy. $10 will be fine, and I think many could agree with it easily and they would not mind if it will be taken to voting on what team to bet for.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Must you be noisy about your wins on: September 14, 2025, 12:10:13 PM
This should not be done because it will just jeopardize the life of the gambler. But I guess there are those who are too proud about their winnings which is why they cannot suppress their excitement to share it. You will have to be careful with those guys that went to the house of the gambler, OP. There's a chance they will do something wrong and some of you will be dragged by his mistake.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you try to learn first? on: September 12, 2025, 04:02:35 PM
He better watch sports matches first. That will be a gambler's introduction to the game. Next, he should not be betting high stakes just yet. Test the waters. There's so many games to bet for and it doesn't need to be rushed. Just play some minimum amount and check if you are doing it right.
A gambler should not gamble first without even knowing what he is getting into. Watch the sports, learn it, and then maybe a gambler has the talent to predict the right choice.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How quickly do you forget a loss on: September 12, 2025, 12:17:36 PM
This is a tough question because it depends on how strong the mentality of a person is. Forgetting a loss will be difficult when the money used is important to the gambler. They will probably chase the losses because they cannot stop thinking about the money that was taken and it will haunt them every night until they cannot find any way to play anymore. Broke.

But those who bet small will probably have an easy time to forget about their losses especially the gamblers who do sports betting in small amounts.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: India Bans All Money-Based Online Games on: September 11, 2025, 11:21:51 PM
IMO, this decision is not good. I may not be living in that country but with millions of people living there, I bet they also didn't like what happened. It's not just because their entertainment is cut off but it's because it may lead to illegal gambling if those gamblers will try to find a way to keep on gambling.
The government will just receive more problems. It may not be now but somewhere in the future they will regret that they banned those online games.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is stablecoin gambling killing the crypto edge? on: September 11, 2025, 03:48:17 PM
It is a possibility. I also learned that many gamblers are using stablecoins instead of altcoin or Bitcoin in their gambling habits. We cannot blame them because the deposit and withdrawal fees are lower when they use them.
I think the real problem comes from the availability on how to purchase cryptocurrencies. If it's easy to buy Bitcoin and the transaction fees are cheap, I think it will be used more than stablecoins or even fiat. Traces are low and they can get away from their wives' questions. Cheesy
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking risks responsibly. on: September 11, 2025, 02:40:22 PM
Having that budget and prevent getting exceeded will keep you safe and will still be able to call yourself as responsible, though it's tough to compete against your ownself as sometimes you'll find yourself in a situation where you think that you have big potential to win but upset happen after, those are the times that you need to consider and always knows your bounderies so even you exist some you'll be able to catch up and pause to reassess, that will stop the bleeding and prevent you lose more.

That's right Fredomago, having a budget helps you avoid problems later, but don't be silly, use it for everything not just betting or gambling
I always remember it, I used it to avoid being overwhelmed by compulsive shopping and it worked well
We cannot let our emotions get the better of us which is why we need safety measures to control it. The best way is to have funds that will only be used for gambling and we will not go overboard just because we are trying to get revenge.

I do understand the feeling of being a loser but this is where our emotions will be weighed. Will we let our feelings dominate our mind or we will follow our own rules and adhere with the budget that we made?
At the end of the day, it's all up to us.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling vs doomscrolling on: September 10, 2025, 04:54:38 PM
Man, that's not healthy anymore. Both are time consuming and I think we should give up one of them if we want to be entertained. Do social media scrolls for hours but never combine it with gambling or else you won't even be productive for a day.
Then, it adds laziness to the body. When you are not moving, our body gets used to it and we won't be doing anything for the day which is a big waste of time.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your perspective on the increasing number of casinos? on: September 10, 2025, 01:16:02 PM
Many developers or company owners may have saw how much money is circulating in gambling platforms and this is the reason why there's a sudden increase in online casino applications. It cannot be stopped, it's the hype now. It's possible that there's 3 or 4 out of 10 people are gambling now because of the easy access of online casinos. Plus, there's the deposit options that is broad now so, they can easily put money in and play instantly.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you rather…. on: September 10, 2025, 07:08:38 AM
I'd take the strict implementation of KYC but with good provably fair rule rather than no KYC but it's almost robbing all of your money. Let's be real, KYCs are not there to trap a gambler. It is meant for protection on both sides. Money-laundering act for the business and for security for the gambler. KYC can be used so that no other person or hacker can access your account because they will go through a lot of identity verification before they can prove it is their account.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Staking more than you receive or earn on: September 09, 2025, 01:22:40 PM
There's really no correct words to tell gamblers if you want them to stop it or control their gambling problem. Sometimes, they do not absorb what you say and will just ignore it. I think the best method is to show them how much they are losing over how much they could've saved if they didn't gamble their money.
Less talk, more work. If you are both men, you don't like talking, and you don't want any advice from another men. It's better to just show them instead of becoming the Dr. Phil for them. Cheesy
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reason to return to gambling after quitting on: September 09, 2025, 08:19:59 AM
The reason could be as simple as chasing the losses. Maybe deep in his mind he is still thinking about the losses that happened to him and he want it all back. There's no way this could be managed by anyone, it's only the gambler himself that could make the change.
He must start forgetting about what happened and all the losses. There's no assurance that he can get it back so it's best to not add more problems.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Market Breakdown.... on: September 09, 2025, 06:16:19 AM
It shows how offshore online casinos dominates the local ones. Also, the forum advertisements does work and I do wish more companies will start looking at providing jobs here so that many people will make money while they are also learning about cryptocurrencies.
That will help a lot to avoid more future investors from being scammed because they will have learn a lot from this forum.
