India is a booming market for renewable energy, many wind farms and solar grids. Now this question might sound utterly stupid, in India renewable industry comes under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, means the government should be on one end of the contract as a supplier, right. And if that country has not legalised BTC or ETH, that would be tricky.
This is exactly what i mentioned earlier in this thread,there will be legal issues and many paper works to be done to make this project a reality and it might take a longer time for everything to settle down because it is not that easy to get the paper works done pretty fast particularly if a government is involved,legalization of bitcoin or ETH is another chapter. I think the government will not be a bigger problem for that project because they are using this system as a way to collect funds for the project and the token is working as the shares of the investors which I think is legal for any government. Legally we have to avoid calling token a share like any other project in crypto because then we fall under heavy regulation which prevents many inovations we want to make. Usually those countries have a lot of sun or wind or other kinds of resources but they have shortages of investments. We hope we will be able to help with that as well. This ICO will get a lot of boost if the devs post photos of the solar farm.
Company behind SunContract already works together with investors into solar panels in Slovenia. They are on private properties so posting pictures here would be illegal without owner's permission. |

The energy sector is going to have a huge overhaul in the coming years with the push for solar. The introduction of this coin with blockchain technology is exciting as it will combine the two. The future of this coin seems bright and I am looking forward to the eventual ICO and launch into the spotlight.
When a project is focusing on real time applications then its success is more than 80% assured and when it is working on energy related projects then we can be sure about 100% all the times. That is the reason I am very confident about suncontract for a sure shot success. Efficient management of renewable energy is more essential incoming years for all the countries, we can hope it could be done through sunctract. You are complitely right. Energy sector will face great challenges in providing green technologies in order to meet Paris agreement and to lower greenhouse emissions. We thing with our project we will find a way to help a world to become less polluted and transform energy sector. |

This peer-to-peer digital electricity trading smart contract is between RES suppliers and users and if I am right it is solar power based, not wind. India is a booming market for renewable energy, many wind farms and solar grids. Now this question might sound utterly stupid, in India renewable industry comes under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, means the government should be on one end of the contract as a supplier, right. And if that country has not legalised BTC or ETH, that would be tricky. Yeah there might be privately owned power generation systems, but I was just wondering. Hope it makes sense. And the concept is really amazing. Blockchain technology has the potential to make this world a better place for all.
Different juristictions might have unique solutions to that matter. Right now we are focusing on juristictions that have liberated their energy market. But in the future we will be very interested on such big markets like India. Trading on platform will depend on individual decisions made by owners of solar plants. |

Finally I found it ; so it's the end of June, after wondering when the Ico sale start. All we've got in the first page is : The TOKEN SALE (ICO) details are COMING SOON ... STAY TUNED  Well, it is a big project and need a lot of hard work to achieve a success project, because a new business model using energy sector and supported by the blockchain technology very interesting and many people expected for its benefits for everyone. Exact date is yet to be announced but our target is June yes. We have a lot of technical work ahead of us and want to be prepaired as much as we can for the crowdsale. We have number of developers working tirelessly on a product. We want to make sure everything works smoothly and safely. Also we are prepairing number of blog posts where we will try to explain this complex model in a way everyone could understand it. In any case, you (SunContract) need to be more there with people. You pay for campaigns, and you should use the best you can to meet new people and to inform them about SunContract project. Hi, We are planning to start our ICO in June this year. We cannot release exact date yet because we are still doing some work to be 100% ready. You have chosen the different platform for Energy Resources which is crypto related. Then how you are relating both blockchain and Sun contract is there any different platform that you are going to implement. SunContract platform will be built on Ethereum blockchain so there will be only one platform for trading with electricity. Ok but how the electricity will be sold to the end user ?? Have you plan to work with solarcoin team ? We are not planning right now to work with Solarcoin because our concept is about trading with energy on platform. We will cooperate with local producers of electricity and as well work with existing partners that we already have. Electric capacity will be offered on trading platform where end-users will be able to buy it for their needs. are all users even from different countries be able to use this for our needs? i just want to be well informed before i invest some of my money here. Tho I still see this as a good opportunity for us We are working with number of jurisdictions to enable local trading of energy. We started with european countries and our plans are to expend all across the world. |

Thanks for the clarification, people keep asking about this, seems like they are too interested on this project and won't lose this opportunity even i've got a pm from somoene asking about this too. INVITATION TO OUR SLACK CHANNELHi Dev am a little puzzled here if SunContract sore purpose is to Decentralize the Energy Market and probably remove the middleman somewhere along the way doesnt that just transfer the middlemanship to who ever has the energy buying power or holds SNC contract...i know project has a lot to offer than removing middleman/men.
Yes one of the purposes is to remove middleman because that area is where usually a lot of fees pops up and increase our electricity bill. With blockchain and smart contracts we believe those fees will be much lower. Of course there will still be a system but we want to lower costs of this as much as possible. Also it is worth noting that renewable energy is becoming cheaper with its development. So we think that with our focus on that energy source our products will become even more competitive against mainstream offerings. |

Thats true i were looking on the last days to get a solar energy panel, but the price of it is very big, even if i do sell some energy to my currently provider its an investment i will recover into 6-10 years, and i dont know if i will still the same place where i do live. I really hope this project can grow and reach all countries, being able to purchase equipement with bitcoin would be amazing as well.
We are on the same boat my friend. Solar panel is still expensive to my country and if this project will become successful in the future, globally, we can all benefit from it specially if it is available to the masses. That is right, we are not the only one who will be having a benefit from these project, but our environment also. We are having a good source of electricity, and we are also maintaining the beauty of our Mother Earth. I just hope that these project will be successful like other projects that Sir Yahoo handled. Even when this campaign becomes successful, we definitely did not do anything to "preserve" the Earth's resources. Why? Because regardless if this campaign existed or not, there will still be people doing dynamite fishing, deforestation, illegal logging, or simply just polluting the whole country because of the huge factories that they have made. SunContract was just made so we can buy energy online using the blockchain technology. What's up with all these solar panel thing? Obviously they are not going to ship you solar panels, and they surely are not going to make their own electricity grid all over the world. This project will probably just have partnerships on electric companies as mentioned in the OP. So all your "save mother Earth" and "Solar panels are expensive" dramas are invalid. You will be paying the same amount of money, to the same people, but just with a different currency online. SunContract's focus will be on providing local communities with energy from local producers of electricity. If electricity is produced locally then transport on long distances is not necessary. We will try to support local producers that have solar plants or other ways to create energy from sustainable resources. We know that one one project cannot change whole world. But we thing that we have to start somewhere. So SunContract is not only a project "to sell/buy energy" online on blockchain but is a step towards fairer, cleaner and more sustainable environment. |
