401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i need your help, i forget to save the latest word of my seed on: December 10, 2023, 09:33:22 PM
I don't know how or why you forgot to save just the last word! The most important question here is: are you sure it's the last word of the seed phrase!
If yes then you don't have to worry too much. As mikeywith has explained above, the worst thing you will have to do is to try each one of the 2048 bip39 words. It's not supposed to take more than 24 hours if done manually. Good luck!
402  Other / Archival / Re: BTCWILD.NET CASINO | 70% OF PROFITS TO CHARITY | NO KYC on: December 09, 2023, 11:51:08 PM
Hi and welcome to bitcointalk!
We will donate to "thegivingblock" due to it being the most widely used.
Sorry, but this makes it sound like you are just donating just to look cool: hey look at us, we are donating 70% of our profits to charities, we are cool!
No, this is not how it works. If you want to donate then better donate to support a cause you believe in. Don't know but as a casino you can donate to organizations that help gambling addicts!
403  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Binance charge me $2K more than the current BTC price? on: December 09, 2023, 11:37:02 PM
If you want to buy btc then use the p2p platform. There you can choose which exchange rate is most suitable for you. Binance will, in most cases, will offer a reasonable exchange rate and add a small service fee if you want to buy directly from them and this is understandable.
The exchange rate on the second screenshot is what puzzles me, though!
404  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JustBit.io scamming again so much for No KYC for Crypto on: December 09, 2023, 10:48:21 PM
most casino often say no KYC but when there is a huge winning this same casino or gamble site would still asked for your details to enable you make withdrawal.
The casino never pretended to be a "no-kyc casino and OP didn't hit a big win.
OP, I didn't play at justbit before but as far as I can see, your accusation is not valid. The casino didn't scam you or steal anything from you. They just asked you to verify your identity. As you already know, this is something they have the right to do, as per their ToS which you have agreed to. So what's your complaint all about?
405  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: message Not enough funds. You need to set a lower fee. on: December 09, 2023, 08:22:20 PM
I believe this is the error message you got:

I tried to produce the error and it seems this message appears when you want to send an amount but your total balance is not enough to cover the sent amount plus the fees.
My first advice is to stop using ETA as a fee estimator option. Instead, use mempool since it's more accurate. Just make sure the "Target" is bellow 1 MB from tip for a fast confirmation.
406  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: December 08, 2023, 11:56:59 PM
but it must also be pointed out that some platforms take advantage of users’ negligence to change the terms of use without notice or even with notice as long as everyone does not read. Also, what is happening gives the green light for the platforms to manipulate these conditions and thus manipulate the balances and accounts of users.
That's a different matter, tbh. Changing the terms of use of a service is a normal thing and it happens all the time. However, it would be considered cheating or a kind of manipulation if it's done without notifying the customers nad if it has a retroactive effect which leads to depriving a customer from one or more of his rights. This is unethical and completely unacceptable.
But when it comes to kyc, what i would consider an abuse or cheating is not when yu ask the customer to verify his identity nut when you keep rejecting his documents without a valid reason or ask him to submit documents you know he can't get or any thing like that.
407  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pending transaction.. on: December 08, 2023, 11:27:08 PM
I can only talk to the sportsbook.   The problem is that it is showing the payout got processed on the sportsbook side and its very difficult trying to explain to them because as little i know about crypto i'm an expert compared to them.
You don't really need much technical knowledge on how cryptocurrencies work to explain your problem to them.
I assume the transaction ID you mentioned in one of your previous posts is the one the sportsbook gave to you and it's supposed to be the id of the withdrawal transaction, right?
Are you certain the address (the one you gave to them to recieve your withdrawal) is one of the two receipient addresses that appears on mempool.space?
If yes, then they did send you the coins and the problem is at your end.
if not then you need to contact them and tell them to give you the id of the transaction sending to your address.
408  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 08, 2023, 10:39:06 PM
I don't know much about how staking works but I can think of many drawbacks in this method.
The most important drawback is that when you stake all your coins or lock your balance in order to prevent yourself from sanding it on gambling, you will prevent yourself from spending it on any other thing too. This will be bad in case of emergencies.
Also, an addict will surely find a way to get around this like using recently acquired cryptos (not yet locked). Or simply use fiat.

notbloks1's suggestion is what came to my mind when I fierst read this topic. It's way more effective and am sure there are many softwares which will let you block access to certain websites.
409  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PEC scammed (Thanks BTT community) on: December 08, 2023, 10:05:12 PM
This is just another pyramid scheme scam. Your friend wasn't necessarily trying to scam you as he could also be one of their victim and didn't realize it's a fraud.
It looks like those websites, or at least most of them, are being run by the same group because as soon one of them dissappears, a new one appears but with a slightly different concept!
The sad thing I have noticed is that many people know they are scams but they still use them hoping they will be able to cash out and make some profit before the website dissappears.

not sure if this thread belongs to the scam accusation board, though.
410  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Rebroadcasting raw txid. on: December 08, 2023, 08:51:35 PM
...
This is a bit confusing! Please correct me if am wrong : You have a pending transaction which is unlikely to confirm any time soon. You used Electrum to connect to a node which has dropped the original transaction from its mempool. Removed the ( now local) transaction and created a new one paying higher fees and broadcast it but the fee rate was not high enough, for the second time.
By doing so, you made things a bit more complicated since some nodes have the old transaction in their mempool and the others have the second one and both are unlikely to be dropped any time soon so you can repeat the same process to bump the fees!

Luckily, since you used Electrum to create the second (replacement) transaction then you can easily bump its fee since Electrum create rbf transactions by default.

412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with entropy (Chaos) on: December 07, 2023, 11:55:32 PM
If you believe that every bet are unique and not in any way linked to previous bets, then no bot will ever be able to garantee 100% ROI or even profit. I have been trying bots for years now.
I had the same experience. Although I know those strategies do not and can not work, I gave it a try. I tried different strategies and the result was always the same.. lost, no surprise!
The main reason why those strategies won't work is the house edge which will slowly drain your wallet. Even if a strategy, like martingale is, theoretically, supposed to work, it won't. Because the house will not let it. Aside from the house edge, the house will put some limits to make sure your strategy will fail on the long run.
413  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: December 07, 2023, 11:25:34 PM
Gamblers do not even try to read the T&C properly while creating an account on the gambling site, so that they face many problems later on. However, many casinos do not make KYC mandatory on their sites, but they add their T&Cs that they can ask any of their customers to kyc at any time if the gambler's activities are suspicious. So here the gambling sites take advantage of the gamblers, because in the end it is the gambling sites that prove themselves right due to the careless nature of the gamblers.
If the user is too lazy to read the terms and conditions of the service he is willing to use, then there will be no one else to blame but him if his account gets banned because he unknowingly breached one of those terms. When you sign up on any platform you will have to confirm that you have read the ToS and agree to them.
I wouldn't call it "taking advantage" when a casino asks a user to verify his identity as long as they make it clear in their terms that they may do it.
414  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: December 07, 2023, 10:54:40 PM
In this forum there are many children with topics that are exclusive to help for newbies where they do and must do some things so that the caisno does not eat them, and they do not spend money and do not fall into a possible addiction
Children are definitely the weakest and most vulnerable group when it comes to gambling addiction. This is the main reason why most jurisdiction do not allow casinos to accept players younger than eighteen. Before signing up on an online casino, you need to approve and confirm that you are above 18 to be eligible to play there.
Obviously, this can be bypassed if the casino doesn't require identity verification upon registration.
415  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: December 07, 2023, 10:38:19 PM
the thread caught my attention because I thought there are many sites without KYC, or They don't require that identification to operate, but I see that now getting a place like this is almost impossible
You are totally right.
It's almost impossible to find a crypto casino or a centralized service that will never ask you to verify your identity at some point even if they claim they won't.
Just recently, a new member complained on the scam accusation board about a casino for asking him to pass kyc after winning (obviously) although they have a huge banner on their main page stating that they are a kyc-free casino!
416  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pending transaction.. on: December 07, 2023, 08:57:31 PM
I have another bitcoin transaction from last week that I didn't bump fee becausee I wasn't in a hurry to receive it.   I just checked that transaction and mempool shows that it has been replaced by another transaction with 13 confirmations.  Someone did a RBF.  I checked my wallet, the fund isn't there and pending transaction disappeared.    What happened to the fund that I'm supposed to receive?
Your wallet balance is supposed to be updated as soon as your wallet knows about the incoming transaction.
Does the transaction mempool says it replaced your original unconfirmed transaction appears in your wallet's transaction history tab?
If not then the sender has bumped it and sent the coins to a different address. Are you sure you didn't spend those coins yourself?
On mempool check if the receiving address and the amount are the same as for the original transaction.

^^

Bitcointalk 2023 on: December 06, 2023, 10:47:15 PM
