562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: October 22, 2023, 11:56:30 PM
You wont really be needing that technicality kind of thinking on trying out to differentiate in between lottery and and sports betting on which it is really that obvious that with lotteries then you would really be definitely be that relying with luck for you to win which is totally opposite when you do deal with sports betting.Yes, it does need that luck too yet there's no such thing about assurance on winning a gambling game
We have recently discussed this on another thread and to be honest I don't see any difference between the two games. They both rely on luck. The only major difference are the odds. The odds of winning the lottery are very tin but the reward is way bigger. Your knowledge about a sports game can help you make an educated guess but the result still rely on luck.
Every game has its own Charme and its fans. Some people like playing lotteries for example because of the low price of tickets and the possibility to win a life changing amount of money.

I was even surprised to know that in times like these there are people who create a casino account using disposable emails, it's a lot of courage or that and not giving value to the money they put into the casino
It's not really surprising, I did it many times myself. Sometimes, you create an account on a platform with a throw away email because you are not serious about it. You usually create the account for testing purposes and just to see how the platform works. But, after testing it for a while and without realizing you deposit a large amount of money or win a large amount of money, you realize that you used a throw away email and there is nothing to do about it but asking for the platform's owner help.
564  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: October 22, 2023, 11:08:23 PM
Well, Op was last active here on September 19th, that is more than a month ago, this actually gives some concerns regarding the credibility of OPs claim that his stake account was phished and he lost the amount he claimed he lost.
If i were asked, I would say that there are two things his absence here is revealing to us.
The is first is, it's either the op is so damn rich that the money he claimed he lost on stake is nothing to him, so it's very easy for him to forget about it and move on with his life.
And the second is, maybe the phishing that the op is claiming happened never did happen, and the claim here about it happening is nothing but probably a way to try to get back at stake for whatever reason, to make them lose customers.

It's true that OP hasn't been active for more than a month but, to be honest, I have no reason to question his credibility. Maybe he realized his mistake and finally got convinced that losing the money was his own fault and that stake has nothing to do it so he just left and forgot about this thread all together.
I hope he will get back here and post an update. Otherwise, maybe one of the admins will intervene and lock this thread. The problem is the misleading thread title! Only OP can change it and I hope he will do it soon.
565  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are chances of fraud very high on Binance P2P transactions ? on: October 22, 2023, 07:52:24 PM
What that is most important is to avoid giving your identity documents to people. Those sites too can misuse your identity documents that you submitted to them.

But if you do not give identity documents in these big websites or exchanges, they will put limit or restrictions on your account. Even to do P2P transactions on Binance, some sellers and buyers demand identity documents and they will deny the deal without these documents.
I think you got him wrong. To use the Binance p2p platform you don't have a choice, you must verify your identity before you can start using it. So, this is not a choice. You either comply with it or find another p2p platform.
On binance p2p, merchants don't have the right to ask you for your personal documents since Binance has already verified them. Any merchant who asks for such docs or any other personal information is mist likely a scammer and better avoid dealing with him. If he refuses to complete the deal then simply report him and binance's customer service will take care of the rest.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 21, 2023, 11:59:38 PM
Precisely, Number one rules of being a responsible gambler is to not be greedy for the money. Gamblers should fully aware what will be the consequences if they didn't follow that #1 rule. Having a self discipline is a must and they should know how to control their emotions while playing. Aside from what i've mentioned, Being a responsible gambler, they should know how to stop when they know that their alloted money for playing is slowly lossing. It's easy to be said because we have a different perspective when to say that a gambler is a responsible but i hope this tips will help.
The question is how you, as a gambler, can control your greed?
This is the main question and if you can answer it it then you will have no problems on controlling your gambling habits.
If you can control your greed and stop pursaching your losses then you will never become a gambling addict. Everything is is in the gambler's mind. He have to know how to react to losses but in the same time how to reacts to wins. If he knows how to do this then he won't be afraid of becoming an addict.
567  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoMix warning on: October 21, 2023, 11:28:07 PM
Well, i too thought that we can mix the coins and can put the withdrawal address of any centralized exchange to get the coins which are not linked with our input address, but after reading the comments here, i would refrain from doing so.
Yes. You can use a reputable mixer then send the coins to your centralized exchange without any problems.
If the mixer is decent enough then the decentralized service will only know the address from which the coins come from but they will never know your actual address.
To summarize, the service provider may and can realize that you have used a mixer but they can't figure out which address the funds actually came from.
568  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoMix warning on: October 21, 2023, 07:42:19 PM
The OP provided no evidence of his claims except for the screenshot, which is more than suspicious, where Uphold informs him about the account closure. He did not offer any proof that the closing of the account was due to tainted coins or that these coins came from the Yomix service. That is why his claims must be considered with a great deal of reserve, he registered an account to make such accusations.
Well, we have to agree with TryNinja that this thread is nothing but a part of smearing campaigns against mixers and specifically Yo!Mix.
OP created a new account complaining a certain situation and blamed a particular service fir it but he never came back to answer any of our questions! Thus looks the same as topics started by newbies asking you "I won xxx dollars from this platform, is this platform legit"

To OP, a mixers role is to break the connection between the sending address and the receiving address, that's all. No matter what mixing technique you use (except for chipmixer), any one who would look up the receipient address would realise that the coins have been mixed.
Next time, other than thinking only about mixing your coins to hide your traces, think about "plausible deniability": anyone can see that your coins are coming from a mixer (specifically centralized services) but none of them can prove it's you who have used the mixing service.
569  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️ SPORTBETTING ADVICE ⚽️ on: October 20, 2023, 11:56:25 PM
The sports betting had the huge risk as compared to other game, because we can’t predict the game of the player on the particular game. The game of the player was depend on many reason,Some of them are mentally disturbed on the particular day.It may be the reason for the sports person game was not good on that day.
This is why I always say that sports betting is also a luck based game although many members disagree with this and insist that it's a skill based game. It's true it's a bit different from other casino games and your knowledge about that particular sport may give you a slight advantage but it remains a luck based games for the reasons you already mentioned. Not to mention that no matter how knowledgeable you are, the odds provider most likely knows more than you do.
570  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: October 20, 2023, 11:37:20 PM
If every gambler can understand this simple ideology then maybe there won't be more complicated issues with the gambling platforms and the gamblers because i see it sometimes as lack of understanding, when a gambler is not reasoning the same way the gambling platform expects of them, this means the both parties cannot go along with each other except one understand the other and out their conditions into consideration, if a user supplied every required documents, there won't be any issue, but on the contrary, things will not go well.
But it's not the job of the gambler or any customer to predict what the service provider (the casino in this case) wants them to do or to predict t what rule they may come up with after registering an account and start using the service.
The service provider/casino must make it rules clear and easy to understand without trying to hide them under very long pages of terms of service and saying something on the ToS then saying the opposite on different platforms like this forum.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 20, 2023, 10:56:11 PM
There is no difference between using cryptocurrencies or fiat money when it comes to gambling responsibly. At least this is what I believe.
Whatever you do to avoid gambling irresponsibly when playing at a fiat casino, do it when you play at a crypto casino and you will be fine. It's as simple as that.
Members above gave you many useful tips and advices to help you control yourself and your budget when playing. Just follow what they have said.
572  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are chances of fraud very high on Binance P2P transactions ? on: October 20, 2023, 10:21:35 PM
Usually, if you follow Binance p2p guidelines to the letter, you should be fine. One of the guidelines/rules is that you should not release the coins if the bank account details doesn't match with the buyer's details. The buyer's name must be the same as the name of the person who sent you the money.
Scammers always come up with new tricks. Therefore, you need to be vigilant and don't be tempted by high rates offers.
573  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Having Trouble With Electrum Wallet Recovery on: October 20, 2023, 08:51:37 PM
Can you tell us what instructions did you follow to recover your wallet?
If you are totally certain you didn't make any mistake while typing the seed and the wallet is fully synced (green dot) but there is nothing in the history tab then you, definitely, imported the wrong wallet.

Since you still have access to your old hdd and assuming your wallet file is not corrupted then all you have to do is to move it to your new device and use Electrum to open it. You will need its password.

575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about trading feature? on: October 19, 2023, 11:54:33 PM
^^
This is a misconception. Being a trader and regardless of however good at trading you are, as I said in my previous reply, will not increase your chances of winning or give you an advantage over the casino. The odds will always be the same.
It doesn't matter what market analysis you use, it is almost impossible to predict the price of an asset in the range of seconds.
Traders may find such games funny because they are used to see charts and prices and all of that but this is something completely different from trading.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: October 19, 2023, 11:26:51 PM
just like the saying goes that birds of the same cliq always roll together, so to that extent, we have to first check our cycle of friends to see which of our per group is pushing us so deep into gambling and what can we do to avoid that, is to strictly separate yourself from them at some point to avoid any possible slid back when we trying to get yourself out of such mess of a situations.
So if we have to leave then we must make it at once and just get up a leave without looking back on anything that will take us back to the previous position we found ourselves at first being too muchly involved.
I totally agree with you. If you think your friends or the people you frequent daily have a bad impact on you then you should stop seeing them and find other friends who have different hobbies and activities. This will let you realize how close you were to become an addict just because you were having fun with your friends and simply doing what they do without taking in consideration the harmful consequences. Those who have a strong personality don't need to worry about this.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about trading feature? on: October 19, 2023, 10:59:14 PM
It is still a luck-based game. You don't know were the price of a coin will move in the next second no matter how a good trader you are. This means that there is no advantage over the casino. It'd practically a fifty-fifty chance game.
Don't think much about it and just enjoy the game because the only way to manipulate the results is by having enough balance to manipulate the whole market. This is not possible for most gamblers especially when we talk about coins like bitcoin and the like which have a bog market cap.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 19, 2023, 09:49:36 PM
That's something that upgrades the equality of genders. Without a trace, women can gamble and they can enjoy whatever men are enjoying in terms of gambling participations.

There is no doubt that online casinos and most precisely crypto casinos enhance users' privacy and user's can play discretely. A user can log in to an online casino and play games from his mobile and no one would notice it.
This is good and all but the question is why women have to hide or look for ways to hide their gambling activities in first place! Why are women who gamble are being despised while men aren't and some of them my even go to the extent of bragging about it? Isn't this the pure manifestation of double standards!
579  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What wallet would you recommend? on: October 19, 2023, 08:31:49 PM
For all of them it is indicated that are available on Amazon, so does that mean that Amazon is a certified reseller? Or should I still purchase one of them from the manufacturer's website?
Yes, but it is always recommended to buy your hardware wallet from the manufacturer or official website, so go for the most recommended option.
I'm surprised that your answer was "yes"! Those who sell Trezor devices on Amazon aren't necessarily authorized resellers and the fact that they are selling them for cheaper prices is a big red flag. Better avoid dealing with them and buy directly from the official website or from one of the authorized resellers.
Here is the list of authorized resellers according to Trezor website:
https://trezor.io/resellers
Better be safe than sorry!

Who is earned nobel peace price to solve it?
Yassir Arafat and Shemon Perez were awarded the noble peace prize in 1994. They didn't resolve anything and thirty years later, as you can see, nothing has changed!
