341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are price of cryptocurrencies really being Manipulated? on: January 16, 2018, 11:31:15 AM
I am convinced that prices are being manipulated.

Sure, ther are panic sellers but those are inexperienced users and they make a small portion of the holders.
In the middle are us who are holders and who do not panic, just hold, but we're not by means rich.
But none of us can really change the market as much.

It's the whales who manipulate, but it is organized manipulation between whales. There are groups of whales working together to manipulate the market. It's highly unregulated and a lot of things that people do in crypto would land you in jail if you tried to do it with let's say stocks.

In the end, we need the whales and the whales need us.

Can anyone explain why reward decreased so drastically over the last week or two for most NEOSCRIPT algorithms? Is this related to more people mining these coins/difficulty change or something else as looks a huge drop to be affected just by minners number/difficulty change? A week ago I was able to get 2coins of GBX and now can not get even 1coin.

Dude, GBX went from $35 to $80 in a week. Of course difficulty will go up.

So to answer my question is more miners? I do understand when it becomes more profitable to mine people switch to another altcoin but so much in a week?

Yes, more miners.
And also NiceHash and the likes farm. Once a coin becomes too profitable NiceHash users focus insane amount of hashrate to a single coin increasing its difficulty by a lot. NiceHash and alike are cancer for the mining community.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If you had $20.000 to invest in low market cap coins, which one would you choose on: January 16, 2018, 11:14:26 AM
I'm not interested in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, IOTA etc etc etc suggestions.
Those coins do not offer any massive short term gain. In fact I'm not interested in any top 100-200 coins.

I am suspicious of ICOs however I would not say no to an ICO with medium risk and 10x gain (no I don't think Telegrams ICO is worth investing into).

With that being said and out of the way, which altcoin with low market cap ($5mil - $50mil) has a bright future?

Here's an example of my recent purchase:
I bought COSS at $0.3 and it went up to $3 (although it's worth about $1 now after all the corrections). I also hold a few thousand SunContract coins.
I do believe that COSS and SunContract will go up quite a bit in the near future (I expect about x10 from both in 3-6 months) and am tempted to buy more, but I'm also looking for alternatives. Just in case COSS/SunContract shit hits the fan.

I also hold SpectreCoin, Waves and Shift, but I don't put as much faith in them as I do in SunContract and COSS.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold or sell ? on: January 16, 2018, 11:03:45 AM
I am holding however I don't think that's the best tactic.
See I would easily trade if I could read the market, but I can't, so my only option is to hold, guess or just panic sell. The last 2 are not an option even though I do love risk taking.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: January 16, 2018, 10:19:29 AM
It is very tempting to dump all my other coins for COSS since it's so low now. Sure my other coins have also lost 20-30% value but COSS has lost a lot more and I'm sure it will go up.
I think COSS will be $3 again in a month.
But then I also hold Shift which will release whitepaper and roadmap in Jan/Feb so it will also go up in price, and Waves which will release smart contracts in March...

Dated 12/01, that's old ass news. We need something new.

What's going on in S.Korea?
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: January 16, 2018, 09:16:24 AM
I almost feinted this morning when I woke up and found COSS at $1.2 Grin

I have lost about $16.000 since a few days ago with my coins going down like a rock. I have quite a few SHIFT as well and it's down almost 50%.
However this is probably a great opportunity for new buyers.

Yes, unexpected strong growth and the same unpredictable decline. This is no longer a correction, I did not think that it would fall below 1.50
with the same success we can go even lower by 0.80 approximately. This is the most unpredictable coin I dealt with. What the team thinks is not clear.

As matter of fact the decline was predictable after  new UI turned into a fiasco. Investors feel that promised new engine will have the same fate. They  withdraw their money from COSS.

How did the new UI turn into a fiasco? Source on that?
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your opinion about the price of Phore on: January 16, 2018, 08:42:41 AM
Who comes up with these names?

Phore? It almost sounds like WHORE!
Who in the right mind could get this name seriously? Crypto community perhaps, but no serious business would want to have to present something called "Phore".

Or that ICO everyone's booming about, Dadi. SERIOUSLY?!
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is looking to raise more than $1.2 billion in a blockbuster ICO on: January 16, 2018, 08:23:54 AM
$1.200.000.000?

I never heard about Telegram until I got into crypto.

$1.200.000.000 is a lot of money for a chat system.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MARKET IS CRASHING : WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ? on: January 16, 2018, 08:17:10 AM
The last time we went -40%, the market went up a lot. October + November correction and then huge boom in December.
I'm down -$16.000 since a few days ago.

Hold Wink

353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / News like this is what gives me hope in the future of crypto on: January 15, 2018, 04:27:23 PM
https://www.thelocal.se/20180115/sweden-predicted-to-become-first-country-with-own-cryptocurrency

The title is probably not true as Venecuela also plans to release Petrol coin, but the fact is, it's happening and it's fantastic news for all of us who believe in crypto.
When whole countries decide to create their own blockchain, you know it's here to stay.

Satoshi is probably very proud.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: January 15, 2018, 04:19:21 PM
Why is the exchange so slow? Bad/slow servers and hosting?
It's hurting COSS token a lot since most of it is being traded on COSS exchange.

Are there new exchanges like Bittrex planned in the future?
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: January 15, 2018, 09:00:57 AM
COSS is dropping like a rock why?Huh??

It rode some hype and then dropped I guess. It will come back up. I regret I didn't buy more.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: January 14, 2018, 10:10:14 PM
Seems like a fat whale decided to cash out. COSS dropped almost 50% in value.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: January 14, 2018, 09:34:25 PM
You Apple users are literally computer illiterate.
Perhaps you should do something technically easier like trading stocks which don't require you to download wallets.
What baffles me is that you're a full member yet ask such basic questions about system protection.

I'm confused are you saying that Bitcoin and crypto in general, are meant to be used only by professional programmers and developers and that all the billions of market cap is by them only, or that it's meant for non-Apple users? Or are you referring to XSPEC coin only? Or are you a Nazi?

If any of the above, I'll take your word for it, sell all my crypto and go cry in a corner... Not  Tongue

Yeah I'm a nazi.

The guy is a troll. I know subtle trolling when I see it.

*He claims that XSPEC is a virus (it had to be open-source XSPEC wallet, not the hundreds of other software programs he could have downloaded, no!) when he can easily confirm it is not.

*He claims to not be a FUDDER because he has $25 (LOL!) of XSPEC in his wallet. He is even staking it (even more hilarious). What is that, like 10 cents per month?

*The guy is a full member, so he probably has a lot of money in coins too, and quite some experience with all of this.

Then he comes up with a debunked XSPEC = scam theory.

Oh well...

Pffffffffff The superficial brains on some people  Cheesy
Why do people jump to assume that I am troll or I have a lot of coins because I am a full member?

Again, to those Software Engineering, IT Doctorates and Nazis:  The internet does not belong to you and crypto doesn't either! I could be an arts teacher or a philosopher, an anarchist, or an anti-NWO. Or even an actual retard with very low IQ and slow learning curve. Whatever I am does it matter? I presented a legit issue and I am legitly trying to solve my "illiterate" Mac problem.

Also, I havent been able to mine my "$25 worth of XSPEC" yet because I am still unable to open the wallet on Mac and I wasn't planning to buy more than that amount until I make sure the wallet works and is supported.

Big Thank you to the good and patient people that provided useful info! Smiley
I found their slack on the project page. I will submit my email and try to get some support in their slack  Smiley

Why the fuck do you insist on calling people nazis?
The overuse of that word is what makes the world forget what nazis really stand for.
Seriously, you seem to be ignorant as fuck and equally as clueless.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: January 14, 2018, 06:47:15 PM
Looking at this project but I don't know, the website is so amateur and they aren't really focusing on the exchange, don't know if this is better investment then Kucoin, KCS right now are really undervalued.

And the fiat money option with verification does not look, they don't offer a new approach to it.

I'm not sure what you're really asking for. New approach?

And the website is fine. It's a bit flashy compared to Binance and KuCoin but neither Binance nor Kucoin have good websites in my opinion. The thing about exchanges is that they can't really look much different.

Why would I change from Bitifinex, Kraken or GDAX for COSS? When talking about FIAT?

Not a single chance, they do not offer any advantage from the majors, the concept is a mess, they talk about wallet service, debit card, missed the focus.

COSS targets to accept a wider range of fiat currencies appealing to some customer (e.g. GDAX does not allow USD for non-USD citizens), COSS provides 50% fee sharing (non of the others do that), COSS is targeting to be an ecosystem including integration in the real economy, not a pure coin exchange ....

COSS is not trying to replace GDAX, Kraken or Bitfinex, but to provide a viable alternative.

And how they plan to accept a wide range of fiat currencies without getting trouble from the regulatory boards? Like if this was a easy task all the other exchanges would be doing, or no?

The fee sharing is not an advantage, a serious trader would not change a market with the liquidity, like Bitifinex, with margin options and other perks, to get a rebate in a exchange like COSS.

They have a good ideia but along what was done until now I can say they might not delivery, and if they delivery I really don't know if it will get the attention that you guys are expecting.

From your previous posts I can see that all you do is complain about exchanges.
Go back to Kraken.
Oh wait, you complained about Kraken in like a dozen of your previous posts.

When you complain about one exchange and use argument that you use an exchange you already complained about before, it makes your argument invalid.
My guess is you're the type who's not happy about anything. No point in discussing with you.
