681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why All Coins Dump? on: July 11, 2017, 09:08:57 AM
The only thing I regret is that I fucking bought coins yesterday. Now they are even lower. I should have waited.
Although I didn't spend fiat currency. I used my 211 Hush which I sold at about $2.7 each and sold 0.65 ETH when 1 ETH = $275 and then bought different coins.
I'm not worried, the coins will go up again, but I could've made even more profit if I bought now (or in a week).

8. Global Warming is caused by hot coins melting the polar ice caps

Actually, polar ice caps are melting because miners heard Iceland has cheap electricity and is good at keeping equipment cold.

My portfolio lost 40%....wish me luck Grin

And you might be +40% in two or three months. After the storm, the sun always comes back.

Time is literally worth money.
So your math is monumentally fucked up bad.
It tells me you are clueless.. very veeeeeeeery clueless.
I pity that you are "investing" in "coins" for "profits"

Oh and you could not fathom how many times i have had to point that out to crowds repeating what you said.
It seems crypto profiteers really are fucking Investarded.

It's not like anyone else said what i did either.
Apparently i am literally the only person who posts smart shit here.
And not only that but i do it every damn day and you all never learn.
I have said this comment since 2013 over and over and.... over and......... over and...................................... over.

And you all the crowd keep chanting your same dumb fucking cliche'd commentary.

Your trust says otherwise.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do exchanges work? on: July 10, 2017, 09:00:33 AM
I see.
Thanks a bunch for the information everyone and especially NeuroticFish for detailed explanation, it's much clearer now Smiley
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do exchanges work? on: July 10, 2017, 08:38:40 AM
Thanks, great information!

So how come people succeed with pumping and dumping?
Pumping is buying a crapload of coins at low price and then dumping at higher price. But to be able to dump them, you have to find buyers who will buy it at that price, which might not be as easy, right?
I bought coins before but it was instant.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How do exchanges work? on: July 10, 2017, 07:26:39 AM
I have only been mining and holding coins so far. I have no experience with exchanges.
I tried to sell some coins on Cryptopia but it's not being exchanged. Is it because I chose a different price than what's currently on the exchange?
Are there no automatic exchanges where I can just exchange coins immediatelly?
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Guess its time to stop investing crypto and go for work on: July 08, 2017, 02:52:18 PM
It's the time to invest in Shift. Thank me later Wink

Already did  Grin
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Overclocking makes no sense on nVidia cards... on: July 05, 2017, 10:23:10 AM
OCing on Nvidia hardware is fairly easy.

Higher TDP > higher voltage > higher top OC > higher temps
Lower TDP > lower voltage > lower top OC > lower temps
Lower temps > higher stable boost clock
Don't crack up your fans to 100%, it's not good for their life span. I run mine at 70% which makes them rather quiet (depends on the manufacturer).
You shouldn't go above 100% TPD on your cards. Don't touch the voltage. If you go above 74C the cards will start throttling down. Nvidia cards are very temp sensitive.

OC only memory if you mine ETH, lower TDP to 50-60% (check your hashrate, 50% TDP is too low for my cards but 55% is enough).
OC both memory and GPU if you mine a coin which can benefit from both.
Experiment, try this, try that, see what's the best.

I have been working with hardware for over 20 years. It still took me 2 weeks to find the perfect OC/TPD/temps for my 2 rigs.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will mining profitability keep going down, or will it stop - or increase? on: July 05, 2017, 10:12:23 AM
Mining with Nicehash is lazy AF. You just press go and it's mining the most profitable coin but you only get paid in BTC.
Where REAL profit lies is researching the coin you can easily mine, mine the shit out of it even if it's much less profitable than for example ETH, Zcash and Nicehash and HOLD. When the coin surges in price it will outproft Nicehash by miles.
Everyone jumped on the mining craze when ETH surged in price to like $350-$400 (I'm guilty of this, always late to the party), but imagine if you started mining ETH 10 months ago and just HELD. You'd be dirty rich now.
Nicehash is easy, it's steady income and you know what you're earning, but it's only good if you are lazy.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: July 05, 2017, 09:56:11 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if AMD intentionally gimps their cards for mining. I mean look what happened with their 4xx/5xx cards. It's not good for either AMD or gamers.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HUSH Secure Private Transactions [Equihash][Community Project] on: July 05, 2017, 08:48:40 AM
The price has been going up lately, and with that I've noticed that global hash rate has increased twice in like 3-4 Days!
Suprnova doesn't have 50% hashrate anymore, more like 35%:
Pool Hashrate: 1244373.52 Sol/s
Global Hashrate: 3413640.00 Sol/s

Well I hope they wait a couple of months until they list Hush on Bittrex. I need to accumulate more  Grin

Predictions on this coin by next year? Now the value is 19sats
2500sat

130x or 13000% increase? Highly unlikely.

Is anyone else concerned at all with the huge portion of the mining being undertaken by suprnova right now? They are contributing well over 51% of the current hashrate...

https://miningpoollists.com/hush/

We have been aware of this for a while. The community has been increasingly adding more mining pools with non-suprnova pools seemingly becoming more popular. In Slack we whole-heartedly advocate not to mine on a pool that has majority hashrate.

I'm mining on suprnova. Can you guys give me a reason not to?

Because it is in nobody's best interest to put over 50% of hashpower in a single pool. Move to hushpool.cloud for example which is also big enough to even out your income.

I don't want to sound like an asshole, but that reply doesn't convince me to move. I find suprnova easy to use and convenient with plenty of info. I need a real reason why I should move.

I bought 115k Espers when they were $0.000900, now they are $0.000460, talk about crashing down Grin

697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Be a miner as a dayjob... on: July 02, 2017, 04:33:26 PM
I might invest $25.000 - $30.000 in Bitcoin mining in a year or so if difficulty doesn't drastically change. I don't have that amount of money now, so I have to wait.
But I have been paying close attention every day on Bitcoin price, the amount mined every day and difficulty increase and it hasn't changed, at all. There's a small variation in the amount mined and also in Bitcoin price, but the profit is pretty much the same, depending on Bitcoin price of course.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1060 3GB question on: June 26, 2017, 01:21:21 PM
I have 10 Asus Phoenix 1060 3gb. They work fine but they are not very good for mining. They all have Hynix memory which is worse than other memory. You can get lucky and find a 1060 3gb with Samsung or Micron but I can't recommend them considering it's a Silicon lottery. Currently my 1060 3gb are mining 15mh/s out of the box and 18.5mh/s overclocked. Samsung 1060 mine 19 out of the box and 23 or so overclocked.
The reason why I kept them is that they are not bad overclockers and I don't mine Ethereum anymore anyway, also they were able to mine 18.5mh/s and drawing only about 65-70W from the wall.

Anybody have luck on Aika Pool? It uses a Prop payout model. Wondering if I should switch it up to a different pool? I'm running 6x RX 470s

Thoughts?
In anyway optimal choice for equihash algo it's nvidia cards. They have about 50-70% more efficiency than amd

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And I'm sure in the near future the price Hush will be reach 1-2 mil sat easy. I very sad about people who sold Hush at 5-10k and sell it now

Same opinion here. Pls just stop dumping you impatient noobs. Dumping wrecks the price!
Maybe you join us at 0.00987740 (cryptopia) or even higher  Wink
Noobs will are always do mistakes.
Just buy more.
Hush will cost $50 each

This is the kind of post you should NEVER trust. Hyping and trying to sell you so you can jack up the price because that person probably already own quite a few coins.
Come up with a reason why we should buy it. Because I have learned enough about how hyping in cryptocurrency world works.

I bought some Espers and transferred them to my wallet. It synced and the correct amount is showing. Now, how do I store it offline? I copied "Espers-qt.exe" on USB stick and tried it on another computer to see if it's working, and it's showing 0 Espers balance. Does it have to sync again?
