Should I choose average last 24h or current difficulty?
Current difficulty drops profit a lot, but is it accurate?

Yes but Hush is not out on many exchanges, it should be soon released on Bittrex which should increase its value. Currently it's really undervalued at $1.64 while it used to be around $3 a week or so ago. Some predict it will even go to $25 or $50.

Both are mineable, both have a max supply of 21.000.000 (same as Bitcoin). ZEN is worth more, they are different coins.
I'm a miner, this is how I invest, I mine a coin and then trade it for a coin that in my opinion has a better future.
Between these two, both are equally profitable to mine, but which one do you think has a better future?

Well I am not stressing about prices going up and down. I believe they will recover and I'm not selling stuff because it goes down.
I'm a miner, what I mine is what I use to play with at exchanges. I invest my mined coins into something that I believe is a better project. Maybe my $500 is not much for you guys, but I just started out a month ago and the prices have crashed a lot so it will only grow. Having to check prices constantly is what's starting to consume me.

I got into altcoin trading just recently, a week or so ago.
Honestly I never dealt with exchanges before and this is all new to me but it's both fun and very stressful. I'm not a big time player, in fact I started out with nothing and just mined some Hush, sold that and bought ARK/Waves/Shift/Espers. I own maybe $500 worth of coins right now lol, but I plan to increase this.
However stress is getting to me. I keep checking the prices, trying to buy low and sell high and I do that at work now as well and even dream about it. I dreamed Espers was getting pumped and my exchange closed Espers trading and I woke up all pissed off and sweaty and cursing the non existent exchange.
I'm not very interested in the tehnology I just want to trade as I find that a lot of fun. But I need to deal with the stress somehow

When people said that ETH and ETC are going to have the same price (and even ETC surpassing ETH) I never expected ETH to come crashing down to ETC current price
Of course, it hasn't happened yet, but looking at what has been going on lately, I wouldn't be surprised

I guess mining this coin is for ASIC only?

Holy shit at Hush difficulty spike. 2 weeks ago I was getting 15 Hush/day with my 3500 Sol/s, now I'm getting about 7.

Why is this coin so popular?
Everyone is talking about staking and voting and all that shit but it seems nothing is happening with the coin itself and its value has not just crashed, if it could go any lower it would be 0.

I'm not getting much hash rate from my 1060 3g since they have Hynix memory and Hynix sucks balls. I get about 15 mh/s out of the box and 18.5-19 mh/s overclocked.
However I have stopped mining ETH weeks ago. It's too difficult and the price has gone down a lot so I've switched to other algorithms, mining the coins that have about the same daily/monthly income as ETH and then trading those coins for coins that have a chance to grow in the future. So I'm mining to invest.

You will be able to mine ETH up until DAG 175 or so, I know for a fact DAG 180 doesn't work on 3gb cards (I have 10x 1060 3gb). You can probably use them to mine other coins in 3 years, but there will most likely be better cards suited for mining.

Yeah I know. But this "competition" word keeps coming back, however no one is explaining what it means.
Does it mean that it won't be a steady income of BTC like it is now with ETH/other altcoin mining or is the income going to be steady but depending on hash rate and network difficulty?

I have been mining altcoins for a while but Bitcoin seems a lot more stable so I'm thinking about buying 10 or 20 Antminers and giving it a go.

I have been tracking Bitcoin for about a month via cryptocompare.com.
So far I have tracked:

Date
Current amount of bitcoin
Daily increase
Mined/month

And besides Bitcoin price and Daily increase there has been no change.
I would get 2.87 BTC / month and the daily increase was about the same every day.

Now, if I set this up can I expect it to be 2.87 BTC or do I get to fight with other miners and thus getting less (or more) per month?

Seems altcoin drop has slowed down and many of them are recovering. It seems downfall is over for now, but since they are slowly rising, I guess it's time to buy now before they recover too much?
