Holding altcoins does not mean that the price will goes up , it depends in the flow of the altcoins in the cryptocurrency markets. This recent drops of all the altcoins is based in the dropdown of the bitcoin price. Because once the bitcoin price starts to dip , all of the altcoins also follow to go down in price. As we can see in december last year bitcoin  price rapidly goes up , and also all the altcoins price goes high.

For me as a trader and investor , its better to buy during the ICO , and if the price is also good to buy and the project has a good potential to growth in the future. And as long as the ICO is active and also the community. And buying in ICO is better because they are giving bonuses to their investors.

Its possible for the etherium to go down in $400 , now that the price is at $540. Soon when this situation does not change maybe in a couple of days or weeks it will drop at $400. Because bitcoin is also dropping in its value , all the altcoins will probably be in dip also. But i believe that etherium will bounce back and it will rise again in the future , just like bitcoin.

Yes the beginning of this year , altcoins start to dip and so the bitcoin , and its been three months now that we are experiencing the downfall of altcoins and bitcoin value , but this downfall in price of altcoins are just only temporary and it will be back again in rise once the king rises its price. Even if this couple of months that bitcoin drops down in value i believe that it will be back again just like last year before it ends the year.

Holding altcoins are not dangerous , because its just holding it and there is no illegal that has been doing in holding altcoins. I hold altcoins months now eversince i receive them in an airdrops and in the bounty campaigns that i participated. It is good to hold altcoins because when their price goes high , we can gain more profits feom those altcoins. And we can earn more money through those altcoins that we are holding.

Even if the etherium will drop again in its price i still believe that it will recover sooner or later this year once the king rises in its price again. Etherium is not the only one that is dropping in price but most of the altcoins are in dip and also bitcoin. Because of the bad news that have been seeing in some of the social medias.
