I would like to see on site Chromebooks + WorldWide shipping.Thx

World wide shipping has been available for several weeks now.
We actually had an interesting inquiry from a Bitcoiner in Iran who wanted to buy a hard drive yesterday.

To get this thread back on track,  when and where was this photo taken?

What other prominent figures can we get to openly promote Bitcoin?
244  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: iPhone IOS Bitcoin wallet is here! (From Blockchain.info) on: January 24, 2013, 04:21:15 PM
You can install it from any app store.  (Not only Korean)
If you install it from an IP address that already has accessed a Blockchain.info wallet that is more than two weeks old,   the iphone app will have the full wallet functionality enabled.
Do you have to install it, or just run it from an IP address?

I think install, but it is easy to delete the app and reinstall it.

Here is an old Blockchain account that you can use to activate the Iphone app:

is it still possible to use the blockchain app from korean appstore?

we managed to install it on a phone and upon startup we even see the full features at the bottom for half a second.

However these icons disappear and only one icon is left. The app keeps beeping and shows public transactions.

Any way to couple this to a wallet and use it as a wallet?

I think the btc price on site, should be the same on checkout.

I agree,  and soon it will be.  (Or very very close depending on the market depth)
247  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinStore.com (Beta) - Electronics super store with over 500K items! on: January 23, 2013, 02:48:35 PM
1- The bitcoin prices I see on bitcoinstore is exactly the price I'll pay? Hope yes.
All prices are in USD in the database and are updated to the equivalent BTC price every 5 minutes based on the feed from Bitpay.com

2- I would like to see on Bitcoinstore the usd value of 1 bitcoin. (the value used by bitcoinstore)
Great idea!  This will be implemented soon.

3- I would like to see on site, something like: (the bitcoinstore prices will be refreshed in 5 minutes)
The USD prices don't change. The final BTC price is calculated at the moment of checkout.
I will give some thought on the best way to make this clear on the site.

Do you guys buy used Cisco equipment for BTC ? and if so.. where about are you located ?

Sure, but it needs to be at least a few thousand dollars worth at a time.
The main office is in Santa Clara California.

Oh, and an I-dare-you-to-add-this product, that I think might have a niche bitcoin market:  solar panels.

Promise to buy at least one Smiley

I'm glad to say that someone has answered your wish!

I agree, and understand that this issue needs to be fixed.
It likely will be with the next update to the live website.

At no point is anyone over charged on the current site though.
Here is a screen shot of the checkout from a few minutes ago that clearly shows the correct exchange rate of about $17.40 being charged despite the old exchange rate being displayed on the local website:

Thanks to Bitpay.com for making such a great bitcoin payment module!
251  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinStore.com (Beta) - Electronics super store with over 500K items! on: January 22, 2013, 05:24:11 PM
For now,  please check out the Home Appliances section:  http://www.bitcoinstore.com/more/home-appliances.html

The BTC/USD conversion rate used is $13.52 while Mt. Gox is at $17.44

Just pointing this out so you can fix it, because it looks dishonest.

*facepalm* No wonder I felt something was amiss here.

The website displayed exchange rate is having trouble updating automatically however the exchange rate at the actual checkout updates every 5 minutes.
If the current exchange rate is $17.44 and it has been that rate for more than 5 minutes,  that is the rate you will pay at checkout.

Lots of MAJOR updates to the site will be pushed to the live server within the next week or so.

They will make everything on the site much easier to use and navigate.

For now,  please check out the Home Appliances section:  http://www.bitcoinstore.com/more/home-appliances.html

It is hard to find something that BitcoinStore isn't cheaper than Amazon on in this section.

Thank you to everyone who has already placed an order!
253  Economy / Goods / Re: Anyone sell bitcoin stickers/decals? on: January 20, 2013, 01:23:06 AM
I'm interested in buying 1,000 pcs of a sticker that say "I bought this with Bitcoin"
The size can be around 2" by 1"

Please contact me with a quote if you can do this.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most profitable Bitcoin companies on: January 19, 2013, 07:38:10 AM
bitcoinstore ?  I believe that list without Roger wouldn't be a legit list yes?

I actually plan to make the final Bitcoin payout address from Bitcoinstore.com sales public so anyone can track exactly how many BTC worth of goods are being sold.

255  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinStore.com (Beta) - Electronics super store with over 500K items! on: January 18, 2013, 01:39:15 PM
Stop lying about amazon prices.

Bentar,

Stop spreading FUD.

Here are some current examples as of Jan 18th 2013 in which Bitcoinstore.com is clearly cheaper than Amazon.com

Adtran Bluesocket 1840 - Wireless access point
BitcoinStore $454
Amazon  $471

HP LASERJET PRO 400 M451DN CLR
BitcoinStore $494
Amazon  $509

Wine Enthusiast Silent 12 Bottle Wine Refrigerator
BitcoinStore $124
Amazon  $145

Mitsubishi DLP Projector - 1080p - HDTV - 16:10 (UD8350U)
BitcoinStore $9,022
Amazon  $11,719

Bitcoin store is not cheaper than Amazon for every item,  but it certainly is for at least tens of thousands of items,  and possibly for more than one hundred thousand items.
For just about everything else, Bitcoinstore will certainly be competitive with Amazon.
You also seem to be forgetting the very best part,  you can pay with Bitcoin!
Three people are working on the site full time,  and it will only get better with time.

I'm surprised they haven't already had a guest on to discuss all the ways bitcoin will change the world.
