1  Other / Meta / Re: What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? on: May 29, 2021, 12:28:20 AM
I left the forum about two years ago due to life and personal problems. Since I don't know much about crypto, I decided to left the forum for good and focus on the real life in front of me. For some reason, I still found my self visiting the forum sometimes with the curiosity of "how's Bitcointalk doin?, are there still spammers left?" but to be honest, it appears that Bitcointak doesn't changed a bit. The same problem from spammers back then still arises after all, well it's not really something that will disappear just after a couple of years.

Back to the the story, I actually planned to return before I left cause I really wanted to start my own service but, due to some failures I don't have the confidence anymore. I don't even post very often as well fearing that I might only spam the thread (I don't know, I just felt it that way) and speaking of posting, this shitpost took me about 20 minutes and I even hesitated whether to post this or not but since you're already reading this seems like I just hit "Post" and there's no turning back. Now that I'm still posting even a single post per year, just like hilariousandco and the others, I think death is also the first thing that will make me leave the forum permanently, I have no plan to haunt the forum.
2  Other / Meta / Re: Video tutorial needed for newbies on: July 11, 2020, 08:25:28 PM
The "Video Tutorial" idea isn't that bad but I can tell that such thing isn't really necessary. Almost everything that a newbie member should know are already all over the forum. Guides, tips, rules etc. What they really have to do is pay some time to search for those threads. But as we all know, most of them(newbies) are not really interested nor will spend some time to search and read those. So it is also possible that even these Video Tutorials will be ignored as well in the future. Plus, not everyone can speak or understand English even though it is an International language, so that means the content of those Videos should be translated in different languages (which is time consuming for sure), unlike reading contents from a thread. Now, for those who are willing to learn and gather more information, I'm pretty sure that "searching" will be the first thing they will do.

Well, its just my opinion anyways, who knows if such videos were about to exist in the future. About grammar, the forum has nothing to do with it.
3  Other / Meta / Re: When Legendary? on: October 10, 2019, 10:04:32 AM
It is especially difficult to advance for young members who can't write in English and can only participate in the local part of the forum.
Low rank members can still receive Merits even though they can't/don't post in English Language. Merit is a reward to be given in a "quality" post and doesn't mean non English posts doesn't deserved it. As long as a post helps other member or can be qualified as quality, no matter what language it is written, it can be merited. I hope that answered your concern.

4  Other / Meta / Re: Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! on: September 06, 2019, 04:24:03 AM
Can't open the site, a little improvement.
Maybe @Lafu can change the link a little to click.
Good effort but you just made possible malware links accessible.
Quote
If that is the reason, it is very easy for people to take one of the links, then attach it to Google.
I think no one will be interested to take a link in that list if they already know that it contains malwares. That's why it is better to keep those links un-clickable for the safety of unaware members.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system (infographic) on: August 11, 2019, 10:29:09 AM
I don't know any site for making infographic but I tried to search some and found out a lot of them. While you still don't have a free infographic maker website yet why don't you try to use those free websites that claims to be free? Just try to make a simple infographic and see if you can publish and download it for free. You're lucky if you found one.

Anyway, if you're about to make an infographic with that design, I think using Photoshop is fine and enough.
6  Other / Meta / Re: History Of Bitcoin & Bitcointalk Infographic [Long Gif Inside] on: August 11, 2019, 10:09:38 AM
Brilliant idea, simple and neat but it's too big.
My suggestions are,
-you should've reduced those empty spaces to make it smaller
-red font color aren't too good in the eyes
-spelling is so important
-I think it's better to add references in the infographic as well

Just some simple advice for a fellow designer.
7  Other / Meta / Re: Scammer with over 80 accounts spamming in the Russian section on: July 25, 2019, 02:04:06 PM
If your report in the Russian section didn't work, then try or did you try to report these spammers in Moderators using "Report to Moderators" button. Maybe it'll work. At massive spammers like this, it is really hard to take actions unless Moderators just nuke their posts and ban them. But eventually, these spamming won't end by just banning them over and over again. People uses their brains now properly and they can still find a way to repeat spamming with new accounts.
Spam is already like a never-ending flow of water in a river that won't easily stopped by just blocking with stones. It's already part of the forum. It's sad that Bitcointalk reached this kind of unstoppable situation.
8  Other / Meta / Re: You're talking about Merit and I had none. on: July 14, 2019, 10:49:42 AM
May I ask you this question: Who does or do the quality post? Is the post not posted by the quality poster?. You award merit to a quality post which was done by a quality poster and the poster takes the Glory and not the post.

Anyone can post quality posts not just those "quality posters" and even those quality posters can sometime post a non-quality posts. What I'm trying to say is not all posts of a quality posters are good quality and deserves Merits. Anyone can make good posts.

Those "Quality Posters" that you were talking about are those members who often contribute in some discussions and often received Merits and they deserve Merits as they were giving efforts to share knowledge in discussions. And anyone can be a quality poster.
9  Economy / Services / Re: I will build any app or website for you on: July 14, 2019, 09:38:44 AM
Hi there OP, can I ask you something? I spend a few minutes checking out those developed websites of yours and they are really splendid. Now I feel jealous as I admire your works. I just wanted to ask you what Apps you were using in creating websites especially making those cool animations. I'm a noob website developer and just seeking for Professional Website Developers to get some information and inspiration as well. Would you take some time to share?  Smiley Thanks in advance and sorry for an Off Topic reply.

11  Other / Meta / Re: You're talking about Merit and I had none. on: July 14, 2019, 03:02:08 AM
why don't you consider those without Merit instead considering those who have already made enough Merit?.
That's not really the basis of giving sMerits. Those people who don't have Merits are not prioritized/considered but it's the same for those who have some, it is based from the quality of your posts content. There are lot of members here that already received tons of Merits but there are times or days that they haven't received one.

All members here are equal when ot comes to sMerits distribution, the only difference is how their post quality differ.

Ano ang masasabi mo sa gantong adoption ng mga local companies? Risky ba to or mas ok sya kesa sa fiat money?
Of course it's risky and it won't be too good to use as payment when it comes to salary. Fiat is always better than Bitcoin if you are a regular employee who works in companies or etc. and if you are supporting your family needs. Fiat is stable no matter how much your salary is unlike Bitcoin.

I guess it's better to accept Bitcoin as salary when your financial support is in a stable state.
13  Other / Meta / Re: hacked account Spamming yobit sig on: April 21, 2019, 10:27:01 AM
I don't think he can sign a message, as I suspect he is personally selling an hacked account and the new buyer hacked it again! Cheesy
I suspect it as well, if OP can sign a message or can provide proof that the account is really his/hers then it should have been done already by bow. It looks like OP can't provide anything, that account must have been hacked by OP as well.

By looking at the post date gap of that account, last post date was in October 21,2018 and seems like the account became alive yesterday and started to post spam for Yobit Signature campaign.
14  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FABLE] The Resurrection of YoBit on: April 20, 2019, 11:44:08 AM
Where you see the 20 posts requirement of the project. They mentioned the highest 20 posts will be count. So if you count a single post then you will be paid for that. 20 posts are maximum not minimum.
I have read the entire Signature campaign thread (as there are only few content) and I fully understood everything. Even if it's max post or not it is still a requirement. And, do you think stupid people who's after some penny will only make a single post or let us say just about 3 to 5 posts per day? I bet NOT, those people will take advantage and surely make 20 posts per day in order to receive higher payments.

I hope that I explained it well Bud.

~snip
I understand what you feel and it's good to know that you have good intentions for the forum. Everyone has a chance and I'm not forcing you to back out from joining Yobit, actually I'm not telling anyone not to join Yobit as well. Just take the risk.

Also, I didn't mention anything about scam in Yobit. Seems like you misunderstood something.

Unless you don't spam then you won't be called "Spammer". But have you guys didn't realised or notified something? Do you think 20 post per day is a good requirement for such campaign? You've been here for years but seems like you doesn't know anything about possible spam. By just observing their campaign I immediately noticed that it will only bring spam to the forum as there are no proper rules, proper requirements and designated number of participants for the campaign. Besides all of that you guys are still so proud to wear their signature.
16  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reporting Bounty Article Plagiarism on: April 20, 2019, 10:45:45 AM
Have you tried reporting each one of them using the "Report to Moderator" link button? I'm pretty sure that these users will receive immediate actions from the Moderators after reviewing your report as affirmative. Accounts who plagiarised will instantly get banned as it is highly prohibited.

Anyway, that's a good and honest job for a Manager.
17  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FABLE] The Resurrection of YoBit on: April 19, 2019, 08:30:33 PM
I don't know what's with this campaign before but all possible effect that it might bring is huge spam to the forum. Greedy participants will surely try their best and force their limit just to make 20 posts per day even though the quality isn't enough to be considered as a Good quality post. Do campaign like this really allowed to run? This is the first campaign I've ever seen that has overkill posts requirement. It seems to be just fine but I feel like it's forcing their participants to spam all over the forum.

Luckily the campaign only accepts Sr. Member and above but who knows if some of those participants lose their post quality just to get paid. But there are surely lot of Newbies who will try to promote that campaign which will lead to spam.

~snip
I don't think that Filipinos are already aware of it but no doubt they'll found it out later on. So sad.  Sad

snip...
I don't understand your last sentence. Only Sr. Members and above are accepted, so how Newbies can try to promote campaign? Or you're talking about bought accounts?
There is an active running referral program with Yobit, offering 20% of comission for every trade the referral makes.
Yesterday, i reported two threads of two newbie accounts (guess they are alts) in my local board.
18  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [WTS] ACER Aspire ES1-432-C8AR Notebook (Bitcoin Accepted) on: April 18, 2019, 08:16:41 PM
Seems like we have almost the same laptop with the same specs  Tongue

Anyone from office or school who need companion must make a deal with OP quickly. BTC 0.037993 for this laptop is cost-effective and a rare opportunity.

Based from the specs, my laptop's spec is lower, it's speed and performance are now not that good enough to run certain applications that I need in projects. But this has been my buddy and companion for years. My very first one.

Anyway, just a suggestion. Since you're selling your laptop maybe you can try to post/sell it in Shopee and OLX? There's a chance that you might hook up a buyer there but don't expect the payment to be in Bitcoin as those online shops doesn't support Bitcoin payment AFAIK.
19  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [TUTORIAL] Creating your own Avatar on: April 18, 2019, 07:48:40 PM
Indeed. This thread will surely catch other members interest especially Newbies.
Not to shit here bro pero mas simple at madali kung sa paint na lang gagawin ang mga steps na sinabi mo dito after makapag download ng napili na gagawing avatar. Pwede mag crop at resize, walang problema kahit pa mabagal ang internet mo.
I agree that using software apps is way much better.
Anyway I tried to use Paint before about 3 to 5 times and I'm not quite satisfied with the result, I don't know if my image are the one causing it or the Paint but the resolution of the image always messed up. Unlike Photoshop which exceed my satisfactory.

Not bad for a Mobile user.  Smiley

Gayundin, ang bawat isa na nagbibigay sa iyo ng Green rating dito ay awtomatikong magiging DT2 at ang kanyang mga rating ay ipapakita sa naka-bold na Red o Green rin.
The translation of that quoted part above is different from the original thread. It is not those who gives you but those who you give.
"ang bawat isa na nagbibigay sa iyo" is not the right translation of "everyone you give"

After several minutes of translating the original thread, Google translation gave me the same result like what you've posted here. Seems like you've just translated everything and copied and pasted it here without understanding anything. Sorry but, if you will make a translation thread of Information like this, you shouldn't use any translator instead write what you understand when reading the original thread, though using translation is not prohibited. My main point is because translators are not precise unlike of our working brain.

Also, please take note that the information provided from the original thread about that quoted part again is incorrect.
Also, everyone you give a green rating here will automatically become DT2 and his ratings will show in bold red or green as well.
This is incorrect. Leaving positive trust for another user if you are DT1 does not make them DT2. This is achieved by adding their name to your own individual trust list.
Correct it. Giving wrong information leads to misunderstanding.

One more thing, did you asked for the permission to translate the thread from the Author of the original one? It is not necessary but you/everyone should practice that kind of behavior.
