721  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: October 18, 2019, 11:22:00 AM
I think what you say is correct and also wrong. Correct becasue if you hold bitcoin in the long run I think you will gain profit from it when the price gets higher.

Wrong because if we don't spend bitcoin, there will be no movement from it and no movement means no transaction using it the bitcoin economy will sleep and it will loose it's value.

The best thing to do is to help the bitcoin gain trust and popularity over the people. Also help to promote it and help to caught the scammers so that it will earn the trust of the people.

Exactly, if all people will just keep all the coins and not spend it then how can the coins circulate? And also with no movement then how is the price gonna be if that happens? Bitcoin is created not to be kept in your wallet, it is created to be used and circulated. By spending bitcoins it can also help in spreading awareness of bitcoin and we, the users van be the living witness a newbie can have to make them realize that bitcoin is legit and can be trusted.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you know about Bitcoin before becoming a bitcoiner? on: October 18, 2019, 08:27:34 AM
What I know is that bitcoin is a digital currency and that people are saying they became rich because of it, so I researched about it and saw scam accusations that made me think twice but good thing I have a friend that educated me what bitcoin really is and he even provided me the pros and cons of bitcoin which helped me a lot in increasing my knowledge and now little by little i'm buying bitcoins to hold and trade at the same time.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Gambling Doesn't Ever Exist, What Will You Be Doing Right Now? on: October 18, 2019, 03:10:39 AM
It is undeniable that gambling is able to make someone become very rich in a short time, but make someone fall into poverty very short too.  the conclusion I got from what you wrote now, gambling is your source of income.  I admit.. you are very brave to take risks.

That is very true, gambling can make a person perhaps a millionaire in one go but it can also take everything out of you if you don’t control yourself from greed. Gambling shouldn’t be used as a source of income, it is only good for fun and use your spare money so avoid stress. On the other hand, if ever gambling never existed then people would be doing other things, perhaps shopping, sports or save up we really can’t say. IMO, gambling has its share of good side it’s just that people tend to get greedy when gambling thus they tend to lose everything and that’s made gambling bad in other people’s eyes.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: October 17, 2019, 11:54:25 PM
If you say cryptocurrency that means it includes bitcoin and altcoins. As for bitcoin, I can say that it is here to say for sure, it has been around for years now and it seems that a lot is now interested in bitcoin thus, the demand will continue to increase in the future. The only things that can make bitcoin gone is if no one will want it anymore but I doubt it. As for altcoins, it depends on what altcoin, there’s a lot of altcoin coming out and there’s already some who were gone, so if incase you’ll invest in an altcoin make sure that it is something that is worth the trust and effort or else you’ll just wasting money.
725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: October 17, 2019, 02:05:41 AM
It will be highly risky to use your life savings or take loan from the bank to invest on crypto especially alts coins, but if you all in btc, it is risky as well but if you are patient enough it is worth it, if i had invested my life savings in btc alone in 4-5 years back, i would be singing a different song by now Grin
Compounding interest is a sure thing though and it's going to hurt, I would never take a loan to invest in crypto, I can already barely stand the huge swings, imagine if you're borrowing the money, heart attack city.
The longer the time period to repay the loan, the higher interest to be paid in accordance with the initial agreement. Of course, taking a loan is a very risky thing, especially using that money to invest in crypto, which is not certain that we will get profit quickly. This will make it hard for us to repay loans because of this pressure.
That is why it is not advisable to get loan to invest in bitcoin, for me, I save up portion of my salary to invest in bitcoin little by little though we can trust bitcoin our savings but it may take sometime, the profit is not instant, it may take months or even year to get profits because the price is very unpredictable and if you get loan the interest loans is becoming bigger the longer you pay them. This will only make your life hard because you will worry how to pay your loan and at the same time worry about the price.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the Faith of Casino business owners? on: October 17, 2019, 01:27:09 AM
If the propose Public Amendment of Gambling Law to BAN Casino come to pass what then will be faith of those who are benefiting from casino business related activities https://dailyasianage.com/news/199020/amendment-to-gambling-law-to-ban-casino

This article does not cover the overall casino gambling business worldwide and it is only related to the Muslim country Bangladesh. Gambling is already prohibited in that area and government wants to shut down the illegal running casinos.

Quote
Article 18(2) of the Constitution of Bangladesh says, "The State shall adopt effective measures to prevent prostitution and gambling."Therefore, gambling is a illegal act but not business. Besides, Sections 3, 4, 13 of the Public Gambling Act, 1867, define gambling as a criminal and punishable offence.

The law is for Bangladesh and I think they have ban gambling or crypto already because it is against what they believe and they consider gambling as a criminal offense. Gambling is a huge business and it actually depends on the country or religion your at. With this law, the owners will really have to divert their business to something else because they'll be imprisoned if they will continue running a gambling business.
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Store of Value or Method of Payment on: October 15, 2019, 02:21:59 PM
Bitcoin is both a store value and a method of payment. The reason why some people would keep their bitcoins is that bitcoins price is changing from time to time even with just holding it if it hits the bull then the value will increase. Bitcoin is also a mode of payment because it is faster and convenient to use it, not only that it is also secure because it is place on a hard wallet that has high authentication rather than using fiat money.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Stress and Happiness on: October 15, 2019, 06:52:38 AM
Stress can be anywhere whether it is bitcoin or not, most especially that we expected too much and now we are expecting a bull run thus, a lot of people would expect that they can get profits  some bitcoin now seems to have a u-turn, it seems that bitcoin's price is not heading to what we expect it to be and that made people get stressed and some even lose hope thinking bitcoin will continue to crash. Cryptocurrency world is known to be  a very risky and it takes a lot of patience because the price is very unpredictable so as investors you should have prepared yourself for everything. If you think you can't handle the price movement and it is stressing you out then might as well get out and find something else to make you occupied.
729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting too emotional while trading crypto on: October 14, 2019, 09:24:03 AM

Color doesn't change anything though but I can see well with green and red candlesticks. The trick should you consider are the trading system not the platform colors. Emotions usually will ruin the judgement whether to buy or sell when sudden changes to the price. Today the price drops and when it hit the stoploss, they end up setting up again or sell in order to buy back when it starts to bounce. Personality of a trader is a big factor.

Oh personality is a huge factor! Not to mention the discipline you need to keep going when you are making some serious losses (a time that will come). I'm surprised you feel that the colors don't change anything, it made a big difference for me personally
Colors are just giving an additional attraction but not really it affects the market price, buying, and selling. We consider this as additional features that help traders to keep calm but not in a way that it could help to become profitable or whatever it ease. But I feel that it is not necessary we have to see in any exchanges cause the most important is to have a good market volume, we earn from there and we become successful.

The price will remain the same regardless of what color you put into your trading view. If we really think about it, color don’t have any impact on the market movement but it does have an impact in staying focus on trading. Some people prefer lighter colors to stay focused on the platform some also prefer dark colors for them to stay focus so it depends on someones preference. Me personally don’t mind about the color so long as you are determined and that you are disciplined to focus then that good already.
730  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tools to improve your trading on: October 14, 2019, 03:03:40 AM
Tools are good as a reference of your trading decisions but don't be too dependent on tools because you might as well not learn anything in trading. Personally, I don't use those tools always because sometimes it frustrates me that something happened and I don't understand some parts of it. Also not all tools works for you so better make one for yourself. Besides, the longer you are expose to trading you got to learn more and create better strategies that you can use and that will also work for you.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are 0% house edge dice games at ? on: October 14, 2019, 02:41:50 AM
It’s just wishful thinking mate  Grin, there is no dice game that has 0% house edge ever unless you make one for yourself. House edge is like the bread and butter of the gambling sites meaning they can get profits through it’s house edge thus, no businessman/owner of that gambling site will ever make a gambling site that has 0% house edge.
732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tools to improve your trading on: October 13, 2019, 10:47:20 PM
Just like me, it seems to look important to me and a worth to learn about. Others never think about its importance but rather just ignore it.
Anyway, TA's and trading charts are not easy to learn, it may the reasons also that some traders never think it was a helping for them but rather they say it was just wasting their time learning about it. But what happens to them? Their trading career never works well, instead, they suffer losses.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 13, 2019, 03:56:33 PM
No matter how small it is, its all worth it. Before I used to disregard bitcoins and whenever I saved some from mining I spend it right away and then came to a point where I got tired of mining and stopped instead leaving a very few amount of bitcoin in my wallet but now when bitcoin became very popular and the price is getting bigger that’s when I realized that I should have saved those tiny amount of BTC, if only I saved them I should have profits now but it’s too late so now I made sure I manage my coins properly and not to do the same mistake anymore.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Alt season come soon? on: October 12, 2019, 04:15:03 PM
Nothing is impossible so I think it will happen, if not now then probably in the next few years or so who knows. Please remember that when bitcoin started a lot have doubts of it will really become successful or what not, some even think it'll be gone sooner or later but look at bitcoin now, it has been known as the king of crypto now. Therefore, alt can also be like bitcoin, maybe in the future altcoins will also boom like bitcoin let's just wait and have faith that the alt season will truly come.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: October 12, 2019, 03:19:28 PM
Investing in cryptocurrency is very risky because the market is very unpredictable and we can't really predict what will be the price thus it is very important that when you invest, only use the money that you can afford to lose. Well, it is true that in cryptocurrency you can profit big depending on what coin you invest to but it also require luck when it cones to the price, sometimes the price is way to low for others that they tend lose faith in crypto. For me, despite it's volatility crypto is one of the investments that is worst the risk and effort.
736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Can I Increase Bitcoin? on: October 12, 2019, 02:47:16 AM
Hi!
I created this thread to know the best ways to increase Bitcoins.

I am looking only for the best and secure options.

Just buy them. Yes, really.

Other methods are probably less "secure" or have increased risk (ie. Mining).

Make it a habit to invest a portion of your income to purchase bitcoin, and at the end of the decade you will end with a lot of bitcoin. Just pick a number and stick to that (ie. 20% of your monthly income).

And yeah, ignore bitcoin price, whatever price you buy now, will surely be less than in 10 years or so. Think long term, and as a matter of fact, learn how to make an off line wallet using Electrum by writing some words in a piece of paper with your own hands. Then any funds you send there are untouchable...

Indeed the best is to buy them and start from there, but buying bitcoins may be a bit expensive but it sure is worth the price just think of the long term benefit it’ll give you. Another thing, if you don’t have much money to buy them then might as well find a job that pays bitcoin since you are already in the forum then there are a lot of bounties and jobs that you can apply to, but please bear in mind it’s not easy.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin coins are losing popularity? on: October 11, 2019, 03:03:56 PM
Bitcoin coins are increasing in popularity everyday. A lot of people are now interested in bitcoin and I don’t understand why you came up with the idea that bitcoin is decreasing in popularity. Anyways, with big companies trying to create their own coin and also promoting there coins, it made people came across bitcoin and it’s a great avenue for new investors to know bitcoin.
738  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: October 11, 2019, 02:44:21 PM
In this very unpredictable market of bitcoin we can’t totally eliminate people doing FOMO, everyone is after the profit so that means that whenever a trader see that the price is quite favorable then you will see panic selling of coins. Controlling your emotions is not easy as we think but by doing it then FOMO will be lessen. Aside from controlling emotions, checking the charts everyday can be a little stressful so might as well don’t because if you will do it then it will also lead to FOMO, and most importantly, stick to your strategy and don’t compare it to others because there strategy may not work for you. I would suggest you make your own strategy and stick to it.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you always invest in top ranked coins? on: October 11, 2019, 01:27:46 PM
Yes, because in investing in top-ranked coins is safer and you will feel at ease knowing that your investing on coins that have higher value than the others. I think, it is only normal to invest on coins that is worthy of the risk since it is your hard earned money that you are using.
Also, by investing on top ranked coins is making sure that your assets are in good hands and that nothing can really go wrong with is that much because you have invested on the best coins.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: October 11, 2019, 12:58:15 PM
Woaaah! I’ve visited quite a number of casinos but I haven’t been to a casino this crowded. It just make me cringe, I think I can’t play in a casino like this because there’s a lot of people around it it very difficult to focus on the game because you will also think about those people around you. On the other note, if you are a tourist not a player then I guess it’s fun just to see gamblers play, you got to see the gamblers different reactions if they win or lose, so I think it is not all bad if you’ll go to crowded casinos maybe you can learn something just by observing other gamblers play.
