781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Friends & Family adoption - Share your experience. on: September 16, 2019, 12:01:27 AM
In my opinion, telling people to buy bitcoin is a terrible idea, as any other investment advice.

If they lose money, they will blame you. And they probably will. Anyone who seeks for investment advice is going to lose money, because nobody that know what they are doing would ask for an investment advice.

What I do is to tell about BTC, and say that I invest in it. I tell about it, but most of the people have the completely wrong idea about it. I try to give them a more precise idea about what Bitcoin is, why it is important and why so many people buy it ( and no, it is not to make quick money).

I try to tell about decentralization," digital gold", buy anything with pseudo anonymously, freedom, etc.

It is not at all a bad idea for as long as you educate them properly. Bitcoin is not as simple as what other people may think so as bitcoin enthusiast it is your task to properly educate possible investors what is bitcoin, it's benefits, it's advantages and disadvantages and how it really works. I think if you have presented all these things to them then they will not blame since you have provided them valuable information of what bitcoin really is. For me, it is how you educate your family and friends about bitcoin because if you provided them all the information for them to think about if they will invest or not then no problem but if you are the person who will just inform possible investors that you can get big money in bitcoin right away then that's were the problem begins. Sure it is true we can get big profits but not all the time because the price is very unpredictable it's not always green.
On the other hand, I don't share it to my family members but some of my friends know it but they are not that interested in bitcoin as a whole because they see it as a scam. Thus, I don't really bother educating them. Cheesy
782  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I almost got scammed on: September 13, 2019, 04:00:24 PM
Scammers indeed are becoming very smart and creative as the time passes and though this forum is known and is regulated by the administrators but because scammers are becoming smarter they are able to invade the forum and makes offer that can attract possible victims.
I heard a lot of scam cases but this one is new to me, if you are a person who is not keen in every small details then you will surely be scammed, imagine with just one character a dot and a comma, someone might have lost a lot so it is important to be very cautious nowadays since scammers are everywhere.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 13, 2019, 02:09:24 PM
Crypto holding can be considered gambling because you take risk in spending on something that you don’t know the odds will be. Crypto market is very unpredictable that we can’t really determine when the price is going to rise or go down but like gambling if you become lucky when holding then you can win big time.
On the other hand, in crypto holding it may take some time waiting and it’s tiresome to wait so if you want to earn while waiting for the price to rise why not enter trading, you can scalp a few some of your coins and invest in trading it’s a little better rather than just doing nothing and just waiting.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is or are the contribution of Crypto gambling sites to Crypto Currency on: September 13, 2019, 10:46:20 AM
Crypto gambling sites helps in the awareness of bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. Some people don’t really know bitcoin or altcoins but when the came across these gambling sites that accepts crypto then it made them aware or know bitcoin and other altcoins. Also, it will make those who thinks bitcoin or altcoins fake realize that bitcoin isn’t a scam since gambling sites accepts them as a payment. Crypto gambling sites contributes in the introduction and awareness of bitcoins and other altcoins.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: September 13, 2019, 08:14:58 AM
I did it a few times but most of the time, i’ll go with the majority because it is a little safer unlike when you bet in an underdog and risk you money. But sometimes going with majority becomes a little boring so it’s nice to go against them at time and it’s just amazing when a time will cone that you won because you go against the majority.

Sportsbetting is also quite the same as gambling where it has risk when you bet either with the majority or against them. It just a matter of good decision making and a bit of luck too.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 13, 2019, 07:49:50 AM
Not really, most of the time gamblers don’t remember the losses they incur after winning a big amount because they are to focused on the wining they got one time which is higher that what they bet on the day. In this case your friend bet $3 but he won $300, at first look it’s sure a big win but when you look back and calculate all your bet for 7 months then $300 it’s just nothing however, once gamblers win big amounts the first time won’t really look back at his previous bets, what is important the he won after a long time.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An indisputable proof that bitcoin is fake money on: September 13, 2019, 07:10:19 AM
I can prove that all currencies are fake money.

When I take a trip to the U.S., I buy goods with dollars. That's stage one. However, I am paid in euros, so there is never any stage two. Therefore, dollars are fake money. When someone from the U.S. visits Spain, they do the same thing. Therefore, the euro is fake money. You can extend this to any currency.

Therefore, all currencies are fake money.

LOL

btw, what is the main intent of the op why he presented an argument that bitcoin is fake money? if he believes on what he wrote, why is he here in this forum??? everyone can make a good argument why bitcoin is fake, why bitcoin is really worthless and so on and so forth.
but whats the point? we are already in this stage where BTC has already surpassed a lot of hurdles and its position in the crypto market is still going strong.

He is here to put up this argument that bitcoin is fake, I guess, since this is forum is a discussion related to bitcoins. I think the point he is trying to make is that bitcoin can’t be used everywhere like fiat does, though bitcoin is becoming popular nowadays not all establishments accepts bitcoin thus, you have to convert it to the accepted currency before you can buy anything.

Bitcoin is not at all fake because you can convert it to accepted currency and buy something, I think the only thing that make bitcoin fake are those people who use it in a bad way.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With Bitcoin, a future is not clear on: September 12, 2019, 03:44:14 PM
No matter how hype it is, you cannot play all in like that. Everything can happen man

The future is still a long way to go which means no matter how popular or well known bitcoin today we can’t really guarantee that it will still be the same tomorrow. It is okay to invest and gamble some of you savings to bitcoin but putting all your wealth on it is not a good move for me because anything can happen along the way. With the increased competition between bitcoin and other coins and future coins, there is a possibility/chance that a new coin will become the king in the future. Sure bitcoin is the king now and no other coin or altcoin has surpassed it but who knows, someone might come up with something that will beat bitcoin so putting all your money at stake is a very risky and a not practical move.
I just hope it will go as planned because that’s all we holders or even traders are looking forward to (fingers crossed). Hopefully bitcoin will really reach $20k in the next few years.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: September 12, 2019, 03:30:10 PM
Some people will feel Basic Gambling is bad (in the sense of view).

Because, in my country if there is someone playing gambling. That means the person is bad, unemployed, there is no work without thinking about the results obtained in playing gambling.

So no wonder, if people play gambling without having to tell anyone. Because negative impacts will arise on the person.

Not only that they become broke, unemployed or what but they also lost their sanity because in gambling if you are too addicted then it will give the person a lot of stress, stress that he lost, stress in thinking how can he recover the losses and also stress of thinking what his family is going to say when they found out he gambled then loss. Overall, gambling though has a good side but it does more bad that good that is why most people consider gambling as a sin or a very bad thing.
In gambling it is very important that a gamblers only wager small or the amount that he can afford to lose and at the same time have great self control to avoid getting addicted and to avoid major problems to happen.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling just for fun? on: September 12, 2019, 05:10:21 AM
Gambling is not about fun and not all about losing to there is also a time where you can win. Some people may gambling to have fun most especially rich people since they have a lot money but there are also those who gamble to make money or should I say easy money because some really want to become rich in an instant and gambling is a way around but that is if you are lucky.
Free games on the other hand is nice but if a games includes gambling then it is a little different, different in the sense that it becomes challenging and thrilling knowing that money is at stake unlike when you engage in free games it becomes boring in the long run.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 10, 2019, 02:50:33 PM
Gambling money for me isn’t a dirty money, after all it’s hard earned money that gamblers use when gambling but what made it dirty or a bad thing is because of those who can’t control themselves and ended up being addicted to gambling and lose almost everything. Gambling has both advantages and disadvantages like any other things, some may find gambling as a way to relieve from stress, to have fun and forget their worries or problems even for a short time. Some may gamble to make money because it’s the only way for them to a better life. However, gambling isn’t as simple as we think it is, it has the capability to control people mostly weak ones without them realizing it.
When you enter gambling there is a big risk that you’ll become addicted if you don’t have strong self control, thus, if you think you can’t control yourself then better not gamble.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: September 10, 2019, 11:04:10 AM
Actually i'm so fed up with a lot of impostors claiming they are Satoshi Nakamoto and every time a new comes up saying another one it's the real one, I don't get excited anymore what I can only think is that its another con artist again. I just don't really understand why do they have to pretend to be Satoshi when they can't even prove it, isn't is stupidity? Oh well, whatever reasons they have I don't care anymore and besides if Satoshi Nakamoto really want to come out he should have done before.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 10, 2019, 02:44:58 AM
It depends on the area or country like for example in our place the common sports that has a lot of gambling supporters are Basketball and Boxing, whenever there's a boxing match or if there's a new seasons for NBA then my co workers or even my friends bet on their favorite teams. I guess these are the games that is very popular to bet on in our country.
Tennis and Soccer on the other hand, is not that popular in our area, though a few watches it but it is not a common game where they bet on unlike basketball and boxing, they prefer just watching soccer and tennis instead of betting on them.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: September 09, 2019, 11:33:33 AM
The effects of gambling is mostly negative, almost all people who enters gambling becomes addicted wherein they tend to lose everything, money, wealth, house or even family just because of addiction so that is why when people know that you are a gambler they will somehow generalize people and will automatically think that you will become an addict just like the others, thus, it will affect your reputation as a person.
Some people may have better intentions when they enter gambling but it’s useless because almost all people see gambling as a bad thing and not something that is worth the time, money and effort.
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bearish or bullish on: September 08, 2019, 10:53:46 PM
I'd love to see how the market works and even wondering what will happen next.
Not exactly we could tell that we are going to move high or just dump in a few days later. Nobody could tell and even experts fail to tell. What makes this crypto so beautiful is that it is full of excitement and a lot of surprises.

If the market will be in enduring bullish season, it would be great but how if it turns down deeply in the 4th quarter? It everyone will cry cause we have failed again with our expectation.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Will be much better on: September 08, 2019, 10:44:16 PM
The altcoin was really crying because of the bitcoin movement, well you should have at least 50% asset on bitcoin to gain some profit went bitcoin doing some rally. Because the first rally bullish will be on bitcoin after that the altcoin will follow, but with almost 1 year the altcoin still no making any movement keeping decrease went bitcoin up or down. The altcoin season will not be the same as 2017.
I just like to forget the days that altcoins are ultimately in the high price, and I don't want to remember cause it only gives me disappointment.
I believe everyone gets profits that day, people think that it will still be the same or even much higher in the coming years but it sadly becomes different and that is the reason why some of us people hopeless.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to receive a donation in bitcoins? on: September 08, 2019, 10:35:24 PM
Will it either scammers or greed prevent you from receiving a donation?
^ Bro, a donation is for those who have a disability person. Probably you are not one of them and sorry to tell you this is not the right place for that. If banks did not allow you to get a loan how much more those people who did not know you. Strange people have not credibility to get a loan without collateral. Sorry for your loss, you should know that earlier.
That would be straight mate...lol
But somehow or it maybe there is a helping hand or have an overflowing Bitcoin in their pocket to give some to OP, nobody knows.
We are leaving into the anonymity and we never know if OP seriously asking for help or just wanting to fool as just like as a scammer do.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: suggestion bounty to join on: September 08, 2019, 10:08:47 PM
Nowadays it has come to luck. It does not matter how deep you will research this project, there is no guarantee that even after 100 million fundraising it will not go scam. Take part in projects will good whitepaper, team, product and community and hope for the best.
Guarantee, assurance...with this is mostly be missing. Thus, joining bounty campaigns is just finding our luck and you are right, though they have a good team, market strategies, and good market asset but we can't be sure how these people run the project in the long run.  They might be good at the start but not sure if they will be the same in the coming days, and yet to think greediness will soon to appear bringing them to ruin what they've started.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 08, 2019, 09:23:52 PM
I would think of my lose but won't care much about it because losing is part of gambling and you should always have that at the back of your mind every time you place a bet.
It doesn't make you important cause you are just having fun in gambling but if you seriously think that gambling is a major source of your income, everything will be remembered and makes them needs to fill in those losses.

Winning is a way to make some encouragement and also a mind-blowing diversion that it is mostly we forgot our losses at the time when we win and want to stay in gambling cause we thinking that we make it again and again.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Martingale strategy increase your chance of winning? on: September 08, 2019, 05:27:12 AM
About the pitfalls of Martingale money management strategy read here: http://sportstatist.com/the-pitfalls-of-martingale-money-management-strategy/

The book/article author himself being a loser when apply this strategy thus wrote the book base on his own experience, research and references. One thing we may never know which is a successfully guy know his way will never publish a book or article about it because it will not be welcome and expose the strategy to be defended.
Likewise, it is some sort of asking if this strategy may applied at all times. Mostly people share there way of losing cause they wanted to help us and a sort of awareness but not the way they become profitable. For a lot of gambling strategies, nobody could tell what is effective but instead, they keep blaming that it cause losses with them which is something clear that not about the strategies but its all about luck.
