4361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Think About Docademic ? (MTC) on: June 01, 2018, 10:54:15 PM
I checked on its volume and I must say the volume is impressive, only time can tell if this is a bad project, but so far they are living up to its promise to their investors, we will know how long will the hype goes after two months but if they can launch many platforms and updates then investing here is worthy.
4362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why KYC needed for ICO ? on: June 01, 2018, 10:41:39 PM
Initial coin offering has been quickly emerging as the new fund-raising method being used for launching a business. Recently we have seen the requirements of KYC for ICOs are increasing. And many investors are not supporting it. I want to know why exactly do ICOs need the requirements of KYC.

I don't like KYC either because it does not adhere to cryptocurrency principles, but I think it's the only way to know your country of residence because some country ban investing in ICO but it can be manipulated people can submit bogus or fictitious  credentials, so it's not realiable.
4363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Those who sold bitcoin are in for a big loss on: June 01, 2018, 10:34:07 PM
Montana to be a Bitcoin Mining Hub

Check it out!

“This is obviously going to be revolutionary.”

This would be the second large mining operation to find Montana in as many years. Back in 2016, Project Spokane, LLC launched its site near Missoula. It’s already one of the largest energy consumers in the region, housing a 20 megawatt facility, employing at least 25 locals.

I don't know how to connect your title to your post very much different, anyway about your title question, people buy and sell it's very much normal in the cryptocurrency, if everybody is holding on coins, there will be no volume and price movement, people buy and sell for many reasons some for profit, some for being in an uncomfortable position or situation.
4364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tips for the bounty (analysis the Bountyhive) on: May 29, 2018, 01:49:03 PM
I don't say that bountyhive is bad, but they need to be more transparent. At least they need to make spreadsheet or distribution report in any form. How do we know if all od the token they have promised is distributed fairly?. Besides that Bountyhive is still new, they still need many improvement, I still found many bugs on their site.

I do not have account on bountyhive but roaming on this forum I read that they are not transparent, this is very important I prefer where I can access the spreadsheet to see how many participants and how many tokens are at stake, I will not join a bounty if I knew there are to many participants.
4365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I wonder - are there ppl here who bought BTC when it was 19k ? on: May 29, 2018, 01:38:42 PM
One of my friend bought only just a small amount of Bitcoin, when it was on its highest, but he is a positive thinker, he still keep the bitcoin that he purchase, he already made profit from the other altcoins that he bought but he is very optimistic that bitcoin will soon reach 30k or even 50k.
4366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Things on my mind about bitcoin lately on: May 29, 2018, 01:21:17 AM
Wow.... Maybe if what you say happen.. Bitcoin will be die because cannot be mine again. And it will be bad dream for investor.

For better alternative we can invest to altcoin are support blockchain 2.0 dst.

I personally would like to believe the BTC community can resolve these potential problems internally... not saying that other alt coins don’t have purpose or place but I honestly believe most of them are frauds and distractions from the ultimate goal that is a crypto CURRENCY.

It's a possibility, this is one of the things that will contribute to bitcoin's downfall, but we have a lot of emerging coins in the market, but I don't know how can this things be resolve except for a fork or another bitcoin fork to replace bitcoin.
4367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auctus - Smart Contract Powered Retirement Planning on: May 25, 2018, 10:52:39 PM
I got my bounty because it is your fault for not claiming your coins, already they have given procedure how to claim the bounty better go through their medium article in order to collect the bounty.
I got my bounty too but It's not fair to allow bounty hunters to collect their reward during just 1 week. Consider that more than six months gone since end of bounty program and most of the bounty hunters forgot about it.

AUC token was dumped -25% today...

I got my bounty too, I also agree that this is not fair for distribution, with a fairly short time many bounty participants who may not know the info so they have not had time to claim their reward. hopefully there is a new policy after this

Price is down over 50% not a good indication I don't know if the distribution has something to do with this but they should manage it and be reasonable, what happens to them are what happens to blocklancer, people lost trust on blocklancer because of the bounty distribution, I hope this project will not go down the drain.
4368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC at end of bounty campaign on: May 22, 2018, 09:21:01 PM
What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?

I consider this ico scam, they know that majority of bounty hunters do not like this KYC thing and they are getting free works from bounty hunters when they implement this in the last days of the campaign, we should give them a negative trust rating because this is scamming people.
4369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can BTC reach 12$K? And how about the altcoins? on: May 22, 2018, 12:27:01 AM
Do you think BTC can reach $12K at the end of this month? If not, do you think when will it happen?
How about the Altcoins this month? Is it the time to invest? I really care about it. Thank you for your opinion.

At the current phase, I doubt if it will so as all the altcoins, but I'm pretty sure it will reach $12000 or even more at the last quarter of this year because it is the period where bitcoin shows strength based on their past performance in terms of price..
4370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cause of volatility of bitcoin ? on: May 22, 2018, 12:13:26 AM
Hello guys, In 2017, Bitcoin’s price soared from 1,000 usd to just under 20,000 usd before dropping down to around 13,000 usd at the end of the year. Since then, its value has risen and dropped sporadically from day to day. now its around 8,300 usd. So what may cause this drastic change of bitcoin value ?

It's how the market reacts and the market consists of companies that use bitcoin and traders and individuals, these people reacts positively or negatively on news related to Bitcoin, some thought it will crash, some thought the price is increasing and of course many sells because they already made a profit.
4371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO NOW!] 💠 FORTY SEVEN BANK 💠 – Connecting Financial Worlds on: May 22, 2018, 12:08:11 AM
They just finished their ICO , i think that we wont see any big announcements regarding this matter. Although it would be nice to get more detailed info on their progress and plans.
The project is solid there is no doubt about that, just it would be great to see a new exchange , which is not IDEX.

Great projects are listed on big and well know exchanges, but I would rather have them develop their platform first, so they can easily get into popular and big exchange, they have very strict guidelines for listing new coins, and they can easily get in once they have the platfrom running.
4372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XYO just screwed their investors after token sale on: May 21, 2018, 11:58:07 PM
So, the XYO token public sale just finished last night.   After completion you can  see a "Gamma" token sale.  They are continuing the sale with no fixed end date.
What is more troubling is that they promised they would burn the unsold tokens, but instead they "allocated" and extra 5 billion tokens to this Gamma sale effectively diluting
the tokens of the investors from the original crowd sale.   Now, instead of 9 billion tokens, there are ~14 billion tokens.  This move works to the detriment of said investors.

These are the facts.

Spin it any way you want to XY, but this is a clear betrayal of our trust.   I hope there is a special place hell for you.

I am not surprised, do not invest in ICO it's a rule for me in crypto

It is indeed a betrayal changing the rule at the last minute, investors will be shocked to see this last minute changing, they are one of the most publicized Ico in the market, I doubt if they can still gain investors for doing such act, they should have a clear explanation on why they decide to do this.
4373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is crypto bubble bursting finally? on: May 20, 2018, 12:39:50 PM
I stumble this kind of questions years ago and keeps hounding cryptocurrency the questions will still exist I guess five or ten years from now but like all the other expert's opinion about Bitcoin being a bubble we can prove this all wrong.
4374  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin loses 10% of its value after being called "rat poison" by Warren Buffett on: May 19, 2018, 11:33:14 PM
Bitcoin loses nearly 10% of its value after being called "rat poison" by Warren Buffett.
Ending the US session on May 5, Bitcoin closed at over $ 10,000 per coin. However, only on 6/5, the currency was blown 6% value before losing 2% in May 7th session. Currently, Bitcoin prices are trading at $ 9,300. Bitcoin's bad slump comes after the annual meeting of legendary investor Warren Buffett. Reply to CNBC, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway for Bitcoin with "rat poison."
So what do you think?

I stopped reading about Buffett he is not helping the the cryptocurrency cause, even if the price reaches an all-time high he will still attack Bitcoin, nothing in this world can change his mind or opinion even if majority of the people are into currency but I guess he will not live long enough to see that.
4375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 46% of last year's ICOs have failed already on: May 12, 2018, 12:05:15 PM
https://news.bitcoin.com/46-last-years-icos-failed-already/

  • 46% of them are effectively dead already – despite raising over $104 million.
  • 902 crowdsales... 142 failed at the funding stage and a further 276 have since failed

In my opinion, this is very alarming and bad for the industry, this will put the industry in a bad light, I hope in the future, something should be done for the sake of investors, maybe we really need a regulation for this to stop this bad ICOS.
4376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is the Fastest of 'em all? on: May 11, 2018, 03:44:00 AM
I tested waves eth and litecoin all are good but I consider Waves a fast one almost an instant, that is why I am holding a lot of it because it will go to the moon once it launches, I am still checking Credits, they have something to offer to the table.

4378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your prediction for altcoins this December 2018 on: May 11, 2018, 03:21:33 AM
In general, it's going to be good for the cryptocurrency as long as we have not experience again what it went through first half of the year, if the bull trend continues and I hope we will have a record-breaking bull trend, all the coins we are holding could become profitable.
4379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO NOW!] 💠 FORTY SEVEN BANK 💠 – Connecting Financial Worlds on: May 10, 2018, 01:21:36 PM
