1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 09, 2021, 11:46:34 AM
In this season, the number one contender for the title is of course Bayern Munich again. They will prove this completely after playing against their toughest opponents in the league. The question is about whether some other teams will be able to compete with Bayern Munich for the title till the end. This time, Leipzig may not have a similar season to the last one as they lost their manager Nagelsmann to Bayern also. But teams like Dortmund, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg may be able to do this. Especially, Dortmund have a bigger chance among them.
1802  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador has just bought it’s first 200 coins on: September 09, 2021, 11:41:09 AM
200 Bitcoins will not be enough for their whole population which is around 6.5 million now. But I suppose that their goal is not like that. They just want to incentivize people by distributing $30 worth Bitcoin among approximately 333k people considering the current Bitcoin price. Let's see if that will work. El Salvador must convince its people to use only Bitcoin in different ways not to let this effort be in vain at the end.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 08, 2021, 09:37:43 PM
Poland - England match was really competitive. I expected more goals than 2 goals honestly. Both of the goals came in the last 20 minutes. Kane scored first and England were really close to winning the match 1-0. But Poland saved one point with the goal they scored in the last minutes. This time, Lewandowski wasn't able score. I think the best fitting result was a draw for this match so I'm still not surprised.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Country to accept bitcoins is legal tender? on: September 08, 2021, 05:28:27 PM
I think that the next country to make Bitcoin legal tender is Cuba. I have already seen some news about it that Cuba is preparing to accept payments with Bitcoin. Maybe after some time passes, they can also make such move like El Salvador did recently. And many Latin American countries seem like they can really do this one by one. Especially these countries are very interested in this and following El Salvador's process closely.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 08, 2021, 05:23:47 PM
Every point in the Premier League is very important. There are lots of good teams here. If a team loses a match and loses 3 points, they will be one step behind the road to winning the title. This season there will be a title fight between Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea. Moreover, Tottenham and Liverpool are strong enough.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all are very strong teams in the league now. They all have a big chance to reach the title at the end. I'm not sure of Tottenham because we only saw a few games with Nuno Espirito Santo so far. If they keep up the good work. I think that they can also be in the title race after a long time period. And I think that Liverpool are definitely in the race this time. I see them much stronger this season.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 08, 2021, 05:19:07 PM
He claimed to be a special one when he won the league title during his first season with the club he had just coached. For now, it seems that it can no longer be called a special one.
Agree. Mourinho is no longer a special one, he is just an average coach. In the last few clubs he managed, he got difficulties winning any trophies, especially League and UCL trophies. Maybe there are many quality coaches lately, so the competition to win the League or UCL, be tighter. However, we cannot deny that Mourinho has a good ability in managing a football team. He is still one of the reputable coaches and has many experiences managing big clubs.

His system has weakened over the years and it is not fitting all the clubs also. But it seems like Roma can be the right place for him to maybe even achieve something. Roma started really good to the season. Winning the Serie A title may not be very easy but they can still end the season at a really good position. And maybe they can win the Europa Conference League title this season. As long as Mourinho has a good season, I guess that he will continue at Roma.
1807  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Heading to $70,000 on: September 08, 2021, 10:26:32 AM
It seems like we will see $70k in September in only our dreams.  Grin  The price has fallen down very sharply and it is barely trying to recover from the $46k level now. Most of us dreamed that the price would set a new all-time-high level late September or in October. But this unexpected and incredibly fast decrease shocked us. Sometimes we were seeing price corrections but they were not this serious. I wonder until when the price will continue to struggle.
1808  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Renewable Energy sources the future? on: September 08, 2021, 10:22:01 AM
I strongly believe that renewable energies are the future especially in terms of cryptocurrencies. As you all know, fossil fuels have been used for cryptocurrency mining for a long time. We are seeing new that renewable energies are starting to be used. And in the future, renewable energies must be used by the majority to have a better environment and better world as a result. Otherwise, there is a really worrying future waiting for people.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 08, 2021, 10:16:12 AM
Today, Poland - England match will be really exciting I hope. Both teams are capable of scoring goals. Poland will be depending on Lewandowski mostly of course. There are more alternatives to score at England. If they are able to hold Lewandowski off, then England would win this with a nice result. Otherwise, I think that Poland will make them big difficulties. By the way, Poland haven't been able to win even one match against England since 1973.  Grin
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: September 08, 2021, 10:10:53 AM
Depay has good performance in Barcelona and Netherlands so far. Aguero still struggles with his injury and recovery. The defense of Barcelona is still weak and is not improved as I see. Koeman might lose his job too and the support from Laporta is not big for Koeman so Barcelona will have a challenging season.

The transfer season ended so no more new players and Koeman has to do his job with what he has now.

I also like Depay's performance lately. He scored 3 goals and made 1 assist last night against Turkey. I assume that we will see the reflection of this performance in the coming league matches also. Depay will have a big role in the team after Messi and Griezmann both left. It would be great to have Aguero also but he is still injured like you said and he is expected to return on October 16.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 07, 2021, 11:44:00 PM
Marca says that Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio turned down the offers of Tottenham and Milan in last summer. He has a contract with the team which is going to expire in the summer of 2023. He actually plays in many matches at Real Madrid. For example, he played in 48 matches in the last season. And he got 7 goals, 2 assists. I really don't know where the right place is for him. Maybe he can do a better job in the English Premier League but I'm not sure of the Serie A.

1812  Economy / Economics / Re: @Deloitte: "The fiat currency will be gone in 5 to 10 years". on: September 07, 2021, 11:37:06 PM
5 or 10 years is a really short time period for seeing fiat currencies to be gone. We still need more time to enter the digital currency era completely. Firstly, governments will need to develop their digital currencies and make sure of them about being useful. They will want to be sure about if it will not be detrimental to their economy especially. After making sure of the crucial things, governments will start to decide leaving fiat currencies for good. And this might take more than 10 years I believe.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 07, 2021, 08:05:57 PM
Finally it's official and we will see Russel in Mercedes. I already can't wait for next season to see what role in Mercedes Russel will have. I doubt that he is going to accept wingman role like Bottas, but at the same time it's difficult to expect that he will treated like Lewis already in the first season in team.

I wonder who will take Russell’s seat at Williams.  I think they’re the team to look out for next year with the new specs.   They have a good team behind them after the restructure.  Maybe not much F1 experience but a team of brilliant engineers.

And what ever happened to Pascal Wehrlein?  He was a decent driver.  I think he was also part of Merc’s academy together with Ocon.  Maybe Williams should get him.
There is some names like Albon, Kvyat or Hulkenberg mentioned, but IMO, it's not likely options. Maybe Forumula E champion and Mercedes system driver de Vries is more likely. Or someone from F2 - Ticktum, Nissany or Zhou.
Wehrlein had big potential, but he never had chance in competetive team. I don't see his return to F1.

I think that there is no way Russell will be racing like Bottas. Russell is not that kind of a driver. He is the kind of a driver who deserves to be the number one driver whatever team he goes to. So in the 2022 season, we can watch a really great competition between him and Hamilton. I don't expect the team to restrict Russell to just help Hamilton achieve titles. It would be a silly action. In the next season, Hamilton won't be this comfortable against his teammate.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 07, 2021, 07:59:28 PM
Approximately 25 minutes passed and Netherlands is knocking Turkey with 2 goals, that's very bad for Turkish, they are showing one of the worst performance..
Serbia, Norway and Russia are leading with 1 goal each.
France still 0-0

We can consider the Netherlands - Turkey match already over. Because Turkey played literally terrible in the first half. The first goal came only in the 55th second. And their morale downed very easily that Netherlands scored two more goals. It was not nice to see Caglar Soyuncu playing that bad. He caused a penalty and it resulted in a goal. After that, he got the second yellow and was sent off. It is 4-0 now and there is no hindrance for Netherlands to score more goals in the second half and finish the job.
1815  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive flash crash on: September 07, 2021, 07:50:59 PM
I really don't understand the recent drop in the price. Bitcoin price was on a great run and it was continuing to climb. It reached nearly $53k also. But all of a sudden, the price started to decrease very sharply in an incredibly little time period. I couldn't even react to it, I just saw that the price was $47k. Moreover, it dropped down to even $43k which was insane as it fell down nearly $10k. I guess that there is no specific reason for this drop. It's just the random volatile movements.

1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins on: September 07, 2021, 09:27:39 AM
Actually, I believe that there is no need to manage them. Because like you indicated, they are already dead coins. They are and will be worthless all the time. I don't know if there is a way to remove them from our wallet somehow. I also have some dead coins in my wallet and I still haven't done a research about how to get rid of them. If there is way to do it, I will be doing it soon.  Grin
1818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you consider living on crypto? on: September 07, 2021, 09:22:09 AM
If the cryptocurrency that I will live on is volatile, then I would never want to live on it. Because I will hope that the coin has good times all the time. If it dumps, my coin will start to be worthless in the end. I will be happy only when the price is at least the same as the price I bought the coin at. But if we are talking about stablecoins, then I would like to live on them. But conditions are not so good for this as we are still using fiat the most. When we enter the digital currency era, we will all be living on them.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: September 07, 2021, 09:17:56 AM
It will be the end of a misery for Valtteri Bottas after leaving Mercedes. Because he is not cared as much as Hamilton at this team. I know that Hamilton is faster than him and it is critical that he gets the most points as he is in the title race with Max Verstappen now. But I'm pretty sure that they don't have the exact same car in the races. Hamilton's car is a little faster than Bottas'. On the other hand, Bottas still has made simple mistakes also in many races. I wish him good luck about his fresh start at Alfa Romeo.
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 07, 2021, 09:11:56 AM
We are starting to the match day with the Azerbaijan - Portugal match. Azerbaijan got their first point after performing nicely and getting a draw against Ireland in an away match. They have nearly zero chance to promote to the next round of course but they are still trying their best to get some points at least. Even though they are at the last place, they conceded the same amount of goals as the group leader Serbia. However, Portugal are very dominant in this match. Ronaldo is still performing awesome as we saw it in their last match. He is definitely a game changer. And in this match, with the help of Ronaldo, I expect Portugal to destroy them.
