There is a nice game tonight: Dallas Mavericks - LA Lakers. Lakers are going to be my favourite for this game obviously but I won't be surprised to see Mavericks winning this game also. Because this is a close game actually if we take their positions in their conference into account right now. For Lakers, A. Davis's condition is going to be clear right before the game. If he doesn't play, Lebron and Westbrook will have the most of the responsibility for this game.

What an insane dominance by Manchester City against Leeds! The first half ended not much time ago. And Manchester City finished the half being 3-0 ahead. The scorers were Foden, Grealish and De Bruyne. This was Grealish's first Premier League goal with the Manchester City jersey by the way. It was like Leeds weren't even in this match. They were able to shoot only once. Manchester City finished the match by this half already.
Manchester City just said in the second half that it wasn't over.  They were already starting to the match and scored four more goals and simply destroyed Leeds by 7-0. This was definitely a historical and unforgettable match for both sides which I don't have any doubt about. As far as I can remember, Leeds defeated City in Etihad by 2-1 in the last season. It was like that Manchester City took revenge on them in a very strong way. |

Bayern Munich had a wonderful opening match against Stuttgart today. They were definitely well-prepared for this match and dominated it from the start to the end. And they obtained a victory like 5-0. It must be more than satisfying for them after having the tough Mainz match. It seems like Gnabry and Lewandowski saved their strength for this match. I just can say that they played just perfectly.

Thankfully, there is another awesome match this week and it is Atalanta vs Roma. I'd like to start with Atalanta's great form. Because it is too good to overlook. Atalanta have a run like six victories in a row. This carried them to the third place by Napoli's interesting point loss against Empoli. I'm very sure that Atalanta will be preparing for this match in a great way. On the other hand, Roma are not very trustworthy these days. They finally won last week. But they still don't seem like they can resist Atalanta too much. I expect a certain victory for Atalanta at the end of this match.

As I can see now, most people are waiting for especially the PSG vs Real Madrid matches in last 16. And I must admit that it can be a really fascinating matchup. PSG have a big advantage in the match in Parc des Princes obviously and it is going to be very critical for them to make use of this advantage before going to Santiago Bernabeu. If they make a huge mistake like drawing with or losing to Real Madrid, then a much tougher match will be waiting for PSG in the rematch.

Max Verstappen really loves to brag.  But he might have a point here. Even like this, Verstappen managed to become the champion. And he ended the season by 10 race wins while Lewis Hamilton was getting stuck at 8 wins. If they changed the cars, Verstappen really would have finished this job earlier than this race I think. I don't want to disrespect Hamilton's great season of course. I just want to state a fact here considering the full statistics of the season. |

Leverkusen had a golden chance to make the point gap with Dortmund one last weekend as Dortmund got a draw by 1-1 against Bochum. But Frankfurt showed an extraordinary performance and won the match by 5-2. And the most surprising thing was that Leverkusen couldn't protect the 2-0 lead. I don't know how it happened but Frankfurt put a superb effort into this match and made a comeback that is going to be remembered definitely.

One of the matches that I have been waiting for watching the most is: Chelsea - Everton. Maybe Everton are not that powerful now but it is still one of the nice matches of this league. Everton are still having serious problems in the team. It seemed like a silver lining that they defeated Arsenal by a perfect comeback. But after that, their losing to Crystal Palace by 3-1 changed everything about them again. I think that Chelsea will be the winner at the end. But maybe Everton can at least score a goal.

After the draw has been completed successfully, I see that there are really tough matches like Barcelona v Napoli and Porto v Lazio. I guess that I wouldn't watch the rest of the matches but I'm thinking of watching the Barcelona v Napoli match especially. I'm not happy to say this but my favourite here to advance is Napoli absolutely. Because Barcelona are still struggling to defeat even easier opponents in their league. If they continue to perform like this, they would have a very low chance against Napoli in this draw.

I'm quite contented for watching the Madrid derby tonight. Honestly, my expectation was to see a more competitive match than this. And Atletico Madrid started performing better in the second half actually but Real Madrid still managed to bring the score to 2-0 and downed the hopes of Atletico Madrid to get a draw at least. It was a bright day for Vinicius Jr as he made two assists and played a big role in this important win. Atletico Madrid are having a really problematic season now.

Inter are just putting a great show in their match currently. They are demolishing Cagliari in Giuseppe Meazza by 4-0 now. There are three players who are showing superb performances especially: L. Martinez, H. Calhanoglu and Barella. Martinez scored two goals, Calhanoglu has one goal and one assist. And Barella made two assists also. Inter are just threatening Milan and the rest of their closest opponents by this solid performance and they are nearly the new leader as there is a little time left to the end.

I was right about the Liverpool - Aston Villa match and Liverpool's run didn't end here against them. Now, Liverpool have improved their win streak to five matches. But I must admit that it was not easy for them. They had the whole match under control though but it was barely enough for them to win it. After a big mistake in Aston Villa defense, Salah captured a big opportunity by a penalty and he didn't miss.

What an incredible race it was man! I thought like I was going to have a heart attack in the last lap. There was an incredible competition in the last lap and Verstappen overtook Hamilton superbly. And he defended Hamilton like a lion. And Verstappen became the champion of the 2021 season! There is a lot to talk about this race. Hamilton really deserved the title as he was leading by a very big gap until that safety car. Verstappen's big luck helped him a lot too. Otherwise, Hamilton was going to win the title very comfortably.

Looking at the number of big teams interested in signing the lad, the RB Leipzig might be tempted to put a higher price tag to get the highest bidder but in so doing they will all lose interest and Dani Olmo wont leave. Dani Olmo would be a really great choice for Real Madrid. He is still very young and his talent can help the team score more goals than now. I can't say that his finishing is very good but he can help his teammates score a lot. But I wonder whether Leipzig would be eager to let him go on a deal like this. Unless the player wants so, Leipzig wouldn't be okay to a loan-to-buy deal I think. But I guess that he would like to join Real Madrid. Who is not tempted by the offer of a big club, especially Real Madrid, of course, Dani Olmo will choose which one he thinks is better if he chooses him then I think Dani Olmo will certainly choose Real Madrid which has a great opportunity to hone his skills to become famous again. But RB Leipzig has not determined the price when the label is attached to the transfer window, so there is a possibility that if the offer is high, RB Leipzig will release it because they still have several strikers to rely on. I'd like to add some extra information also about this. Dani Olmo was in Espanyol Youth at first and transferred by Barcelona Youth in 2007. And he has grown there for 7 years. After that, he was okay to be transferred by Dinamo Zagreb II team. He stayed there for only one year and was added to the first team after that. After a 5-year journey there, we are watching him at Leipzig. And as he is Spanish and performing in the Spain national team also, he wouldn't be unfamiliar with the La Liga. It looks like it was worth waiting for the Atalanta - Villarreal match one more day. Because it was a very enjoyable match as we watched five goals in total. There was a high level of competition in the last twenty minutes after Villarreal's leading the match by 3-0 until that time. Because Atalanta scored two consecutive goals in the 71st and 80th minute and increased their chance of making a perfect comeback. But they still needed a victory to move on here. And the match ended like this. But I appreciate the efforts of both teams.

There are some different opinions about the Liverpool - Aston Villa match also as far as I can see. But I don't think that Liverpool will be losing this match. Liverpool are on a 4-win streak currently and I'm aware that they will stop somewhere. But I don't think that it will happen against Aston Villa. And it should be really meaningful for Liverpool fans and Steven Gerrard as they are reuniting in some way.
